I love how they stayed in touch with by phone to see if I needed or wanted anything. I love how helpful they were to me in the store too.

Very unorganized also has a lack of communication and is under staffed

I purchased my dress from the David's Bridal in Sunset Hills Plaza and worked with Austin. Austin was so awesome! She had great suggestions and was very helpful! I can tell she has done this a very long time and really enjoys helping brides find a dress they love. She was very patient and energetic. I love my dress and can't wait to wear it!!

I not only purchased my dress from here but I also had them put a bustle in for me. It was a little expensive but worth it. My dress had a beautiful train and I didnt wany iy hidden when it was bustled and the seamstress made sure that didnt happen. She even went through step by step how to do the bustle for my MOH!
GUEST

got my dress and the bridesmaids dresses from here! good quality and flexible hours!

went with daughter to find a dress for her wedding. Staff was helpful, cheery and professional. we did find a dress, but when we had to set up for alterations, the gal was on the phone with seamstress, and it sounded like it may be a problem with timeframe to get dress fitted. She then told my daughter before confirming fitting date to go ahead and sign credit sale, and as she did this added rather fast, all sales final, no returns, before we knew if we would even be able to get fitting done. I just thought that was a bit shady.

Dresses and service: DB is a pleasant surprise, and if you're on a budget, don't write it off before you try it. I know David's Bridal gets a bad rap sometimes as a cheap bridal mart, but my sister and I both got our wedding dresses here and were overall thrilled. The prices cannot be beat. Who cares that it looks like a department store in there? The salespeople, though busy and hassled, are helpful. And I spent more money on my alterations (done elsewhere) than for the dress itself, and it was a super classy dress! I will say that a lot of DB's dresses are cheap and tacky looking, so you have to dig around, but it only takes one dress!
Alterations: Although the dresses were great, I would not recommend the DB alterations department. My sister had her dress altered there and had lots of issues. The most significant one was a hemline that was not even and was too short on one side; you can't exactly undo a too-short lace hem, so I think many brides would have had a bridezilla panic moment. Luckily the alterations manager did some smart thinking and used steam to lengthen the fabric on the one side. Also, DB alterations will not do any alterations that change the shape/structure of the dress except for take it in or out, shorten it, or bustle it. Because I wanted to slightly alter my dress' neckline and chop off the entire train, I had to take my dress elsewhere for alterations, but I'm glad I did.

I think going to David's Bridal, you have to know what you're getting into. You are getting only slightly less expensive dresses from a huge corporation that has zero accountability to individual brides. I bought my wedding dress from the Sunset Hills location about 10 months in advance and then got my alterations done in the same store 6 weeks before my wedding. When I came for the final fitting, my dress was hemmed 2 inches shorter on one side than the other. I had to get a completely new wedding dress 1 week before my wedding. While I wasn't charged for the new dress or the second set of alterations, I did not recieve any compensation or apology for that matter for having this happen to me. I had to then come back another day (which is a 40 mile drive for me) to pick up my dress and hope they got it right this time. In the end, the second set of alterations were correct and my dress fit correctly, but I would NEVER EVER recommend David's Bridal to any bride. MANY other stores have equally affordable dresses with much better customer service and accountability. STEER CLEAR of this place and if you get your alterations here make sure you have someone that is actually experienced.

I did not have a great experience at David's Bridal. Like many brides, I went there because of its affordability. I actually picked my dress there the first day I went looking with my mother. Lucky for David's Bridal, I didn't care as much about my experience as I did about the dress. First of all, I told my consultant I didn't want a strapless dress, and she seemed very confused about that. She brought me strapless gowns anyway. I told her I didn't want a veil, and she put veils on me anyway and kept asking if I wanted to buy them. When she finally brought me the dress I loved, I realized it was on my online wish list, so I was confused why it took her so long to bring it to me. She also disappeared for ten minutes at a time, leaving me in dresses I hated. When I went back to the same store with my mom to look at dresses for her, the consultant literally forgot about us and we were left on our own to pull dresses and find a fitting room. Also, one of my bridesmaids waited too long to buy her dress so the color was out of stock- no fault of DB. But, after hours on the phone with multiple people from the company, no one thought to tell her about the online outlet store on the DB website. By accident I found the tiny link, and there was the dress in our exact color. My bridesmaid lucked out, but DB was no help there. Also, this store often misplaces things like shoes, and even my friend's bridesmaid dress, and it takes them a long time to find them. I was very disappointed with my experience with DB, so I took my dress elsewhere to be altered, and that work ended up beautiful. I will say I love my dress, and I had many compliments on it. I just think DB knows there are no other stores that offer affordable dresses and bridesmaid dresses in so many colors, so customer service is not a high priority.

Stephanie was awesome, we got a great deal and were well taken care of.

I'm sure a lot of Bride's use David's Bridal, and if they don't they should! They not only helped me find my dress within an hour, they also were very flexible with my bridesmaid's dresses. After I ordered my bridesmaid's dresses I had an emergency and need to change the size of one dress and the color of all of them. It was not a problem and they were very reassuring and professional. It's great when your wedding party doesn't live in the same area as you too, because they can go to any David's Bridal and it all stays on the same account.
GUEST

Loved my dress! I found it online and went to the store once it was in and it happened to be a perfect fit! They were great in helping me in anything I needed!
GUEST

I would not go with this company to purchase a wedding dress again because they sold me a dress and after it was cleaned water marks and dirt showed up on the train. The stains were not there before and they said they couldn't get them out without ruining the dress. So I was stuck with it like that. Luckily nobody noticed but I was very disapointed they did not even offer me a discount or anything.
GUEST

The invitations were pretty but i had to put them together myself. The glue dots they send that should be used to glue parts together are small and dont hold anything together. I had to eventually give up and get double sided tape.
GUEST

They made me feel very special here! I was able to browse the racks, yet, I had a specialist at my side to help me pin point what it was I really wanted!! I didn't feel like I was being pushed around like I had in some shops. Once I chose MY dress my rep helped me to finish my look with everything I had said I was looking for. They really listened to what I wanted here! It was also a great place to see dresses of all types and budgets! Watch for sales! They happen all the time, and if you are like me if you can have your dress for $200 cheaper that means you have that much more to spend on other things:D I also loved the way my consultant called me every fews months to make sure I had everything I needed and to tell me which girls still needed things/had or hadn't picked their things up. Overall this shop was where I had my best experience! They also helped me exchange my Maid of Honor's dress the day before my big day when it no longer fit her! That could have been a horrible disaster, but for them it was no problem calling around and getting the one I needed to where I needed it:D Great customer service and overall experience!
GUEST

Davids bridal was ok, they did really great with everything until it came to dying my shoes....
GUEST

First appointment was great. Alterations and follow up appointements took awhile, not the same professionalism, and I didn't feel the same A++ service I had felt on my first visit.
GUEST

I would not recommend David's Bridal to anyone else. They are very unprofessional and are not very professional. The longline bra I wore cost $79 dollars and they tried to sell me a very very dirty nasty one without even looking if they had a new one in stock. They did and were reluctant to sell it. Everything about David's Bridal is rushed and unprofessional.
GUEST

David's Bridal was ok. They are a large bridal store, but can lack in certain areas. For my bridal needs I was well taken care of. The lady assigned to me, was great and was a wonderful help. I was truly indecisive about what style I was looking for. She continued to pull dress after dress, at appointment after appointment, until I found my dress. There was never any frustration show on her end, just a want to help me find my dress.
Unfortunately she was unavailable for my bridesmaids fitting. I made an appointment, however the appointment was not documented. The girl assigned to us, was new, untrained, and more focused on discussing her upcoming wedding than focusing on getting answers for the questions my girls and I had. We were unsure what style we were looking for, so I asked our girl to pull some dresses, and she refused and said it would be better for the girls to do that. Mean while she stood and continued to discuss her wedding. I was unhappy with this visit and one of the managers I dealt with in an effort to fix this visit. The girl we had at this visit also took the sizes for my girls, but never got them in the system, so all of the information was lost. I did not find this out until another dress appointment about 2 months later.
I did work with a manager who was helpful in trying to resolve the issue. The only other issue I had, was that I was never told that David's would steam the dress for free, if it was purchased through David's. I only found this out when I called to find out pricing on steaming about a month before my wedding.

My dress was wonderful and the staff helpful un like other dress shops
GUEST

Thank you davids bridal for both my beautiful dress and the wedding parties dress! They were beautiful! Very good staff at davids bridal helps you find your dream wedding dress.
GUEST

I LOVED my dress. The dress consultant was very helpful. I did not get alterations done here though, so cannot comment on that, but they did not try to sell me too big of a dress for extra alterations which I have had done at other shops.
GUEST

I love my wedding dress! Everyone love my dress in the wedding, too! I am glad that I pick this one!
GUEST

I bought my dress at David's Bridals in Fairview Heights, Illinois. The staff was very accommodating with my fittings and even called afterward to make sure I was pleased with everything. They had a great selection of dresses, which really surprised me. I would recommend to anyone to go to this store first before going to the high end boutiques.
GUEST

Same David's Bridal but I got my dress early and altered exactly to my specifications!
GUEST

I just got my dress from them but they were very helpful when I was selecting the dress. They did not make me feel rushed and they spent their time with me making me feel special in the dress i selected.
GUEST

We ordered dresses and invitations here; pretty good value
GUEST

I loved my dress, but the poeple there were very pushy and not very helpful. I actually went to the venue in springfield, mo. When a problem arose, they basically told me there was othing they could do, and tough luck....not something a bride wants to hear about her wedding dress. If I need a bridesmaide dress or something in the future, I would NOT go to davids. They just arent helpful, or work with you, and they arent worth the prices.
GUEST

I have to admit that I begrudgingly went to David's Bridal because of bad experiences I've had there in the past. I did find a great dress at a great price, but other than that I'm not impressed with them. Even though there were very few people in the store the day I was there, the saleswoman was quite rude to my family and didn't really allow them to be a part of the experience.
I didn't go with them for alterations and pressing because I read many terrible reviews.
GUEST

Found my dress almost immediately. The staff was very helpful and fun to talk to :)

The only reason I gave them 3 stars instead of 5 was because on my wedding day, literally 4 hours before the wedding, I found a huge pull in my train from when they put the bustle points in. It was a little annoying because they had hung up the train at the exact point of the run I'm guessing to try and hide it. Just note to other brides, inspect, inspect, inspect!
GUEST

I went to the Fairview Heights, IL location. ANyone who has been there knows that it's somewhat like herding cats; there are tons of people and not enough associates. We were taken to a section of the store to dig through bridesmaid's dresses ourselves with no help from the staff. The good part about David's is the price and the selection. If you can deal with the circus going on around you, the dresses were reasonably priced and they looked great. Don't look for customer service in the least, and know what you want before you get there.
GUEST

Every time I went in to David's Bridal I tried to deal with Kesha. She is the best. Very professional and she always provided great service!!!
GUEST

The dress itself was beautiful. The services was so so. When I called to make my appointment they told me it would take only 2 weeks to complete. But when I arrived for the appointment they said 3 weeks, which put it back on mhy wedding day. I freaked out and they agreed to complete in the 2 weeks they originally told me. Not cool.
GUEST

Davids bridal was great. They exchanged my dress when I had second thoughts and I ended up with a gorgeous Vera Wang dress. The only problem is the alterations department tends to be the weak link. My alterations were not ready and I had to wait 3 hrs the week of my wedding to get them finished. I called the morning of my appt and they said the dress was ready. When I arrived it had not been touched. They refunded my $150 for alterations so that helped but my bustle fell the night of my wedding and the alterations were obviously rushed. This was the long beach ca location. Overall I was happy with my dress and Davids bridal.
GUEST

I used davids bridal because I had bridesmaids in other states. I found cheap dressing online for the girls under $100.
GUEST

My dress was perfect & a great price but the woman I worked with rushed me and was very pushy.
GUEST

Good quality product at a great price
GUEST

I loved my dress! However the team of workers aren't very responsive. They seem stressed out and overwelmed. The lady I worked with had more than one bride to attend to and she kind of just handed me my dress and was on to the next bride. I would recommend this to people only based on the dresses and not the team of workers.
GUEST

I got my dress from David's Bridal in St. Louis Missouri. My wedding dress consultant Sarah was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly and patient. I received many many complimetns on how beautiful my dress was. I also got it altered at David's Bridal in Rochester NY. Although the alterations were extremely expensive, my dress fit like a glove. I also got my shoes, slip, and head pieces there too. Those too were a little on the pricey side but well worth it.
GUEST

They found our flower girls dresses. In California shipped them to the parents in due time for our wedding.they were oh so patient and worked with me on finding the right dress. Thanks Davids Bridal staff for all you do.
GUEST

I went to David's Bridal for my dress and my MOH's dress. They wrote down the wrong size because the consultant was working with 2 brides at once. They fixed it finally but the petite is almost 2 sizes smaller than the regular dress and since they didn't tell me this and they didn't have any petite dresses to try on at all I ended up spending $600 for a dress I couldn't wear. My Maid of honor went to get her dress at David's Bridal (since she is out of state and they are everywhere) and they thought she was lying about being my maid of honor to get the minimal discount that she received from buying her dress there after I did. She spent 20 minutes arguing with them before she called me and had me tell them that just because she was out of state didn't mean she was lying about being my maid of honor. She finally got her dress and looked great but I wouldn't suggest you to use David's Bridal, its not worth the stress.

I went to the Columbia, MO store and had a wonderful experience. The staff are busier than in the other wedding dress stores I visited, so there isn't as much individual attention, but my consultant was great, I got a gorgeous dress for a very reasonable price, and they did well with my alterations (although they did end up being more expensive than they'd told me they would be when I purchased the dress). If you go to Columbia, Kelly W. is a GREAT consultant to work with.
GUEST

I got my wedding dress as well as all my bridesmaids dresses from DB. My overall experience was good. The alteration dept did a great job. I felt better having them do it because they were faniliar with the dress already. It was worth the money. I have gotten numerous compliments on how well my dress fit me:). The only "problem" I had was when they discontinued the color that Icarlectrd for my bridesmaids dresses. The good thing was that the color change actually worked better for us!

Overly croweded in impersonal. I never had the same consultant twice and I never felt like I was the only bride in the room. I had to compete for attention from my own consultant!!
GUEST

Dress was perfect, alteration department was friendly though a bit pricey.
GUEST

I used the sunset hills location and was very pleased with the assistance I recieved in ordering my dress as well as the alterations. Very reasonably priced too.
GUEST

Wouldn't take back my first dress even though it hadn't been worn or purchased long ago. The staff in Columbia, Mo were not very nice except for the tailoring department. The staff in Olathe Ks was awesome. The dress was georgeous!
GUEST

I absolutely love the dress that I purchased from David's Bridal! I tried on a similar style at a boutique and it cost double what I spent at DB. The staff was usually very friendly and helpful and they were able to work around my busy work schedule to get my alterations completed.
I also purchased my bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal and they turned out beautifully! The staff was very helpful and two of my girls actually had to exchange their dresses 3 weeks before the wedding because theirs no longer fit and they gave them no problems at all and were able to get the alterations done in time as well! I am overall very happy with my experience.
GUEST

I loved my wedding dress! I bought it from David's Bridal after trying on many of their options. The sales woman was very professional and assisted me in finding the best dress for my figure. I also used their alterations department for altering. They did a great job taking care of every detail. I also had my bridesmaids order their dresses from David's Bridal. Everyone's dress fit well, looked great, and were perfect.
GUEST

We bought the flower girl sash from here. It turned out great. I can't believe what a difference it made to the dress!

I got a really inexpensive dress that was really beautiful, however, the alteration prices were quite high and I had that done locally.

I went to the location in St. Peter's. The service was great. My dress was great. I ordered a petite size, and it was perfect. I do have two suggestions though for brides in the area. --Don't go to DB in South County. It's always way more crowded that the one in St. Peters, and is more worn down. Also, find your dress in the store--then order it online. The reason is that if you buy it in the store, you can NEVER return it if you want to. If you order it online, as long as it still has tags, and is not altered, you can return it. Oh, and I also had 3 maids get their dresses here as well. They all worked out fine.
GUEST

Overall David's was great to work with... had many dresses to choose from at reasonable prices, and all different sizes! My only suggestion... DO NOT DO ALTERATIONS HERE... alterations cost me almost as much as my dress did!
GUEST

Me and my bridesmaids got our dresses at the same store. They where really nice to me when I was trying on wedding dresses but when we came back a couple of weeks later when I could have all my bridesmaids there they where not very nice or helpful. Even though the store was almost empty (there was only one other customer with 5 sales girls there) I had to go find the dresses because I couldn't get anyone to help me.

Davids Bridal was ok, but they were not all that nice if you haden't made all of your wedding plans and if you weren't planning on doing all of your business with them. I wasn't very impressed with them
GUEST

I had a great experience here! All my bridesmaids, my flowergirls and I got our dresses adn alterations here. There were friendly, courteous, and helpful!
GUEST

All I can say is that you get what you pay for. My consultant was spectacular. The dresses were reasonably priced, came back in a reasonable amount of time, and none of my girls needed to get alterations. However, I did not get notified once one of my girls dresses came in and got a call from the store saying that it's been there 'a while' and had seven days to pick it up. Although no one could tell me when the dress came in. Just that we had seven days to come get it. The only other issue I had was when I would call, it seemed like the new person would answer the phone every time. So, I'd spend more time on hold while she finds the answer than it took to actually answer my question.

they have some very nice dresses there. Sometimes they can be a little less helpful. I had bought a sash and it was in store for a week and that week I had been up there 2 times and no one said anythig about it. But other then that good prices nice place to go.
GUEST

nice sales
GUEST

They were awesome! I went in looking for an inexpensive dress...and that is what I found. They were very helpful. They were fast on their alterations. I was pleased with my dress. Everyone (and I) thought it was beautiful. Why pay more for the same value???
GUEST

This is a wonderful shop for wedding dresses, however they are a bit pricey. Sometimes the workers can be overbearing and always at your side, but they are just try to help. I guess it just depends on who's working that day.
GUEST

While I had heard negative things about David's Bridal, my experience with the St. Peters store was nothing but positive. The people were nice, especially my sales lady. They were very tolerant of my trying on lots of things on lots of days and I was able to try on every piece of my ensemble until we had it just right. The sales lady was kind but honest, and her opinions were very constructive and helpful. The dress was perfect, and while it was expensive to me, by comaprison to others I priced, it was VERY reasonable at only $800 on sale. I had it quickly after ordering. There was even a problem with my tiara being broken, but they exchanged it for me with no problems, and overall it was a very positive experience.
GUEST

Terrible service! Bridesmaids dresses were 1 month late getting in and then I had to pay to have them shipped to my bridesmaids (had they been in when they promised, my bm's would have been in town) then they forgot to ship them for a week. Alterations on the other hand went perfectly, the price was ridiculous, but the did great work.
GUEST

I love the dress I ended up with, it was the third one I tried on and it was ridiculously cheap for how much material and detail there was. This is not an upscale boutique and you should expect you don't get that kind of service. They are really busy on Saturdays, even if you make an appointment you don't get much attention and may feel harried or rushed. I was also pressured to buy the bustier they sell (an $80 piece of foam) and the sales lady said you can decide if you want that later but should get it now so you get the buy-three pieces-at-once discount. When I went for my first fitting and wanted to return it (all my dress needed was a strapless bra and all the foam bustier did was add like an inch to my waistline) they said all sales were final (which it did say on the receipt - not like I had noticed) and wouldn't even take it back when I majorly complained and told them exactly what the sales lady had told me. Bad customer service I think, because all they said was I'm sorry that lady doesn't work here any more. Luckily mom ended up exchanging the thing for her shoes and a bag. Oh well, beautiful dress in the end although wasn't completely happy with their alterations either - noticed in some pictures one layer looked to be hemmed unevenly but wasn't that obvious and one side of the bodice seemed bumpy.

I know some people really HATE David’s Bridal, but I had a really good experience here. The absolute KEY is to make an appointment, go during the week (NOT WEEKEND) and preferably during the daytime (versus evening) if you can swing it. I went 3x, each time on a weekday morning and it was calm and quiet in the store and I had plenty of personal attention from my saleswoman. Weekends are when it gets ugly. Some things I liked about David’s Bridal… you can see all the dresses online first AND their prices. I knew I wanted a simple, elegant dress and our budget was tight and I found my perfect dress for $250 on sale. As we had a short engagment (under 6 months) I was cutting it close on being able to order a dress from a shop, so I liked the security of being able to take my dress home the same day, and not worry if it would make it in time. I was lucky to not need alterations, so while I do not have personal experience with the shop’s alterations dept., I have heard some iffy things, so I would have chosen to go elsewhere for the work.

I found my dress here. I had to reorder my dress because my consultant did not measure me (I am a tall girl) and when the dress came in, it hit me right at the ankles. I also was told to order my dress in a larger size because wedding dress sizes are not like street clothes sizes. Personally, I felt David's Bridal did this so they could alter the dress more and squeeze more money out of me. The dress came in WAY too big and I felt like I was swimming in it. Even when they pinned it to alter it, it still felt too big. I would not get your alterations from them. I would think twice about going there.
The bridesmaid's gowns were fine although they did not place my order for some reason. When I called to check on them to see if they had arrived yet, I was told my consultant (who no longer worked there) never put in the order because she was waiting for ALL of my bridesmaids to order even though the ones who did order had paid already. My girls were scattered all around and they knew they were not all ordering from that location. If I had not called, my girls would have had no dresses.
GUEST

I loved my dress....it was very beautiful and they were pretty fast about doing alterations and getting them back to me and they were very nice to deal with. But....my only negative comment would be, they are way way too expensive. I also think they do false advertising by saying that all their dresses in the store are part of their 99.00 sale. that is not true, only the dresses that they are discontinuing are 99.00. I ended up paying 1500 for all of my stuff, dress, shoes, necklace, headpiece....and spending 900 on my dress but not finding out how much it was until it was run up. The alterations are also very very expensive....one of my bridesmaids had to pay 100.00 to just take in the straps and have hemmed....which was almost the cost of her dress!!! I think it would be better to shop around to get the best price....also, when getting alterations done, if you do buy from david's bridal, i would get alterations done someplace else. I was not that happy with how much i had to spend. They also did not let me keep the dress at the store, i bought it about 6 months before the wedding but they will not let you store it at the store. I did not have a place to keep it and so that added to the stress, because i had to find a place to keep my dress that it would not get destroyed. I have heard of other bridal stores that actually keep the dresses at the store until the day of the wedding. I would really shop around first.

I let my bridesmaids all pick their own dress, it just had to be long and the color I picked. David’s Bridal had the best selection for doing this. They were very helpful when we all went to pick out the dress, even though it was a Saturday and they were busy. When the dresses came in some were smaller than they were when they had tried them on. I have heard bad theings about their alteration department so we had them altered elsewhere. The workers were shocked when my bridesmaids left without alterations, so I think they order the dresses wrong on purpose to ensure that they make more money by doing alterations. In the end the dresses all looked great on each girl.
GUEST

i am very satisfied with their work they made a custom dress for me in deed i added embroidery and change in my neck line and got a little opening on the back of the dress. they did all of it for me and in the way that looks so pretty. i loved my dress. they are so friendly and reasonable.
GUEST

My dress was beautiful, were very understanding when the size of my dress needed to be altered (exchanged for same dress different size for no charge).
GUEST

I had nothing but trouble with David's Bridal as a whole. I had bridesmaids across the midwest which meant I had to deal with many different David's Bridal locations. None of which were easy to deal with. They scammed and skeemed to keep as much of my money as possible without delivering what they promised. Discounts were not given. They used high pressure sales to force me to buy their products. The alterations department (2 weeks before the wedding) made my dress too small and then blamed me for gaining 2 inches in my David's Bridal can be googled and you can read for yourself more heineous stories about David's Bridal. In fact, if you go to the Better Business Bureau website, David's Bridal's whole company has an extremely poor rating. I suggest not doing business with this company. It will only end in stress. Definitely not what a bride needs!
GUEST

I bought my dress at David's Bridal in St. Louis. The dress looked and photographed great. However, they sign you up for a lot of wedding spam. They also told me that it would take 6-8 weeks to get my dress in when in reality it only took 2 weeks. It seems like they try to add on lots of fees to make up for the reasonable wedding dress prices.
GUEST

I had a simple courthouse wedding. I went to David's Bridal to look for a simple wedding dress. They are pretty elaborate and those 99 dollars gown are not that great...but i think you pay for what you get.
They had some sale for evening gowns that dont look too great.
As I am very petite, i figure i would have to spend a lot of money to tailor to my size.
Since it is a courthouse wedding...its not worth my money to spend on it. Very expensive! Even the veil is $100+ I ended up buying the one that is for a flower girl's, which cost almost $40. Well... they say you only get married once, right? I suppose if you have the money and time...go for it.
GUEST

decent quality of dresses.

loved my dress. they had many styles of dresses, most I did not care for until I found mine. they're not a snooty place so you can feel comfortable. My dress happened to be on special and I got a great deal on it. They offer a credit card to make payments. I opened one with a no interest promotion they had going and spaced my payments out without adding interest charges, which is nice while planning a wedding!
GUEST

AWEFUL! The sales people were pushy. They don't even know the term customer service! They were extremely rude to my bridesmaids! Plus, they told me to call in several months ahead of time to schedule alterations, but when I called SEVEN months before my wedding, they told me they did not have time for me and that is was not their problem!!!
David's bridal is horrible, and I wouldn't reccomend them to even my worst enemy!
GUEST

Ok I was a pretty calm and patient bride. I never hardly made a fuss about anything . But Davids bridal was a disaster. They are very unorganized and not willing to help when they screwed something up. My stepmom bought her dress and had it altered here.BIG MISTAKE! DONT LET THEM ALTER ANYTHING. They destroyed her dress and refused to do anything. They said it was the dress and it wasnt because it was fine until they altered it. We argued for 2 hours and finally she had to buy a jacket to hide there mistake. The 2nd thing they did was when i showed up for my dress fitting the same day it was still on the table and not ready for my last fitting. I would not recommend them anyone.

They offer dress at a very reasonable price and service can very greatly depending on the agents mood totaly. First I had trouble making my appointment to have my dress altered and then they called me the next day to see if I couldn't make it. When I told them I would make it, they cancelled my appointment and booked me another session.
At my session, one of the ladies who altered it, pricked her finger and bled on my dress. They did get the stain out but I worried for quite a while due to this. The alterations were expensive. Cost more than the dress itself.

If you're looking for an inexpensive dress, then this is your place. If you value service, you may want to look elsewhere. I probably would never use them in the future for anything or recommend them to a friend. I was never told when picking out my dress that it would be a dress off the rack, not brand new. This really upset me, as I was under the impression that I would be getting a brand new dress. When I went to pick up my wedding dress, I opened it up in the store and it was the wrong dress. When I told them of their mistake, they didn't even have the dress I ordered in my file. I couldn't believe it! Then, the clerk walked over to the rack and picked out my dress in my size and handed it to me to take home. I said, "ummm, I don't want a dress off the rack, I'd like it to be ordered". Then the clerk told me that when they order a dress, it just means they are ordering it off the rack at another location if they don't have the size available at their store. I was disturbed and shocked that I wasn't getting a new dress. Needless to say, my dress, being lace, had snags all over it. The clerks didn't seem to care, they were very rude. Once you pay for the dress (which they make you do conveniently before you get it), they wash their hands clean of you and don't want to help you out with anything. Very unprofessional, very disappointed!

I had no problem getting my dress and the alterations done right when I needed it. However, for the bridesmaids dresses it wasnt so easy.. They were all kinda given the run-around about what needed to be done and where and when. I was told that everyone could try on the dress at ANY location and then they would need to order it from the original location I set it up at in order for all of the colors to match perfectly. So, what really happend was when the other girls went to other locations, the attendants told them they could order the dresses anywhere and so thats what happend. So, dress colors were not exactly the same, they all came in at different times and then originally they didnt even call ANYONE at all top tell them the dresses were ready! I had to call the location and ask if they got in yet. The girl had told me they have been in for 3 weeks!! When I asked why I wasnt notified she had said it just might have gotten looked over! So, since we had lost 3 weeks out of alteration times and they are ALWAYS booked up. One of my girls dresses was too big and she had problems with it all day. I also remember they had a hard time finding the girls in there system. This company is too big to have so many things unorganized....

My stomach gets sick every time I think about them. They caused me and my girls so much unneeded stress and so many tears. They measured one of my girls and told her to buy a dress that her chest was too big for because 'they can fix that later'. When she went back for her fitting, they mocked her saying she had gotten fat and that the dress was no longer available. She called me sobbing from the store. After 20 minutes of her crying, they said 'oh wait, I guess we DO have the dress.' Why didn't they check before insulting her and bringing her to tears? Weddings are supposed to be FUN. The same thing happened to my sister, only instead of crying she went off on them and got a free dress steaming out of it.

In addition to buying my wedding dress at David's Bridal, we also bought my bridesmaids dresses here. My maid-of-honor is tall and when she tried her dress on after it was purchased, the dress did not go below her ankles. She could not imagine not having added "additional length." When we brought the situation to David's Bridal they informed us that that the dress doesn't even come with additional length. My thought is that the professionals would know if someone would need extra length and they would advise us before making the purchase if something could be done. Thankfully, my mother-in-law is an amazing seamstress, so we added some fabric and with her being the maid-of-honor it was fine having an added style.
I also found it frustrating that you can't just stop in without an appointment.

If I had to do it over again I would definitely looked around sooner for my dress. I am a full figured woman and it was difficult to find a dress that fit in the few stores I went to before David's Bridal. Since I bought my dress I have heard of a few shops that cater to those in my size.
David' Bridal has a large selection of dresses. Only once or twice did I find my experience at the shop to be personable and nice. Most of the times (and I went a number of times) I felt like I was in the way. I actually walked out of the store once or twice because I waited 10 or 15 minutes for someone to be available. (Even though there were a couple clerks standing around talking) Finally I put my foot down and told them if you want me to buy my dress from this store then show it. I need customer service. Again I waited for at least 10 minutes if not longer...I would have walked out but I needed a dress and my time was limited. Finally some one was pulled away from what seemed to be nothing and worked with me. I decided on a dress and bought it the next week.
I do have to say that the ladies in the alterations room were excellent! Very friendly!

The dress was overpriced but I still got it. You can not return anything once you buy it ... and they will try and talk you into all kinds of extras!!!!!!! Bridal excessories do not need to cost hundreds... the shoes are reasonable... but no one really needs the bra that they insist that you wear! And the jewelery is over priced too! I walked out of there feeling totally screwed with a hand full of things I thought I needed... that added up to almost what the dress did!!! OH and they have used/defect dresses that they don't tell you about unless you ask... These are great deals! I saw a bunch of them and the defects were mostly un-noticable.
GUEST

Never had any problems between buying my dress and getting the alterations. Loved the saleswoman! So courteous!
GUEST

They had a wide variety of dresses, but wer not as friendly as they could have been. After I put my dress on hold, they would not let me try it on again until I paid for it in full!

The ONLY reason I continued to work with this place was because they had "my dress"...the one I truly wanted. The people that work there are rude, unflexible and made me cry on several occasions. Each and every time I went into the store I had a problem with something or someone. I would not recommend David's Bridal to my worst enemy. I would rather a bride spend more money on a dress than have to deal with the people that work there.

I ordered my invitations from Davids Bridal online and they did an awesome job, I was impressed for doing everything online, and not getting to see them in person. The company called me and went over everything thoroughly as well, to make sure I verified everything I wanted on them.

WOULD NEVER recommend this vendor to anyone. Worst service of my life. I cried MANY times working with this vendor. After going back my 3rd time I found my dream dress and couldn't pass it up. Price was even good. As soon as I started working with the alterations department is when it all hit the fan. The HEAD of the alterations was a NIGHTMARE to work with. I went to pick up my dress after alterations had been done and UH OH! They sent it home with someone else. I couldn't believe it and they tried to tell me it's not my fault (NO DUH it's not my fault- it's all their fault). I waited for them to bring my dress back so about 45 minutes later I was taking my dress home. Went to try it on and UH OH- they didn't do the alterations they were supposed to and part of it was ripped. Took it back to get finished, got it back and still not had been fixed. Spoke with head of alterations and again a nightmare, took it back and made sure it had been fixed before taking it home this time. Dress was still wrinkly and they basically told me there was nothing they could do about it. HOW RIDICULOUS! Only time anyone should get a dress there is if they didn't need alterations done at all. I would have rather spent 3 times more money somewhere else than deal with them EVER again!

It was a very smooth purchase, the consultant was very efficient and asked me specific questions about what style I wanted and she pulled up several dresses that met my exact demands. It was very easy.
I did not need any alterations per se. Just a bustle, the seamstress at David’s did a great job. Several people stepped on my dress and it did not rip at all. I was very pleased!

I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal for only $99!! And it was absolutely my dream wedding dress!! It was an amazing find!!!!!
GUEST

The dress I choose was nice and at a good price. Then they told me the price to alter it. The price to alter the hem was more than the dress itself. If you can find a dress without any alterations then it would definitely be a good price. Unless you purchase the dress and let another seamstress alter it for you. I found the sales people quit pushy.
GUEST

I didn't like having a person assigned to me, I felt as if she were pushy, and I really didn't feel like I had the chance to express my own opinions. I kind of felt pushed into making decisions.

overall i wasnt satisfied with David's Bridal. They suggested a bra and the big skirt that poofs out. I didnt know, so i bought them both. They were not cheap. When i realized that i didnt need them and it even made my dress look better without them i wanted to return them. I couldnt return them i could only get store credit. I had to fight with them for months on even getting me to do that. It was horrible. The women there were rude and not professional. BUT i loved the ladies who shortened my dress and made alterations. They were very nice and made me feel good and beautiful. I wouldnt suggest Davids Bridal to anyone!

Davids Bridal was a great store to work with. They were decently priced and worked well with me and my bridesmaids for trying on dresses. They only allow the bride to try on a few dresses at a time however. They even let my bridesmaids switch the sizes of the dresses after we placed our order and sent the other dresses back at no charge.
GUEST

I had an appointment, but I felt like an inconvenience to the employees. They were not patient, they rushed my little sisters (we were finding dresses for them), and then the woman helping me walked away and we couldn't find her again.
My dress was $300, but alterations were $420. If I would have had any idea that my alterations would have been so much, I would have looked elsewhere. I was also tremendously disappointed with the alterations done -- My dress dragged the ground in the front on my wedding day (but the back was the perfect height). I almost tripped on it walking down the aisle.
I also used the Joplin, MO location -- and had wonderful service.
Other David's Bridal locations would probably be a better choice. and I would recommend only buying a dress there if it fits perfectly.

Everybody was very nice and professional. I used the David's Bridal in Greenwood, Indiana, but it wasn't on the list.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! This place, as well as the St. Peter's location was a huge stress for both me and my bridesmaids! I only got my bridesmaids dresses there, and thankfully they had nothing to do with my dress, or bridesmaids alterations. We merely purchased the bridesmaids dresses there. I got my dress from Robin's Bridal and highly recommend them! Wish they would have had the bridesmaids dresses I wanted! Service was probably the worst I have ever experienced. Dresses were not that much cheaper than those at other stores! I got a different story and recommendation on sizing from three different people there and they were all rude and ignorant when they were the ones that ordered the wrong sizes! PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF FROM STRESS AND PANIC AND DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! You will find much better service anywhere but there and will still find a beautiful dress! I know numerous people who have also had horrible experiences.

The lady was extremely nice and entertained all my nit-picky requirements. The dress was gorgeous and was the right price too!
GUEST

The girl who was assigned to help us that day did not seem to know much about the dresses, could not seem to locate certains tyles that we had seen online and wanted to look at in person, and generally was kind of lame. She was nice, and tried hard, but was obviously not very well trained. It turned out to be a waste of a day and we went somewhere else.
GUEST

If I had not completely fell in love with my wedding dress I would have not bought it there. But once I tried on the one I wanted (not the ones the pushy sales lady had me try on) I knew that was the one. The service there was horrible. We kept asking for a dressing room or someone to help us and they kept taking other people in front of us. Like we were not even there!! I was SO upset!

We got all of our Bridesmaid dresses from David’s Bridal. We were lucky enough to all be able to get together on a weekday and the store was all ours. We had a lot of fun, and picked out beautiful dresses.
Fabulous fashions for all budgets..you really can't go wrong with them
