There aren't many reasonable wedding gown shops in the area, so we went to David's Bridal. The selection wasn't anything over the top, but they had great service and reasonable prices.

Very helpful! The team of people showing me dress options and helping me prepare for my big day were wonderful!

We found my perfect dress on clearance, which made the value of the service skyrocket. It was a gorgeous dress that I couldn't have been happier with. Staff were friendly and helpful in telling me which nearby store to pick up the dress in my size.

The only reason I chose Davids Bridal was because I had people in other states that were in my wedding. I knew that they would be able to purchase their dresses if I went with Davids Bridal. I think they should have a better selection on dresses. They also need to spend more time with the bride and no over book.
GUEST

So so so helpful. They staff listened to what I wanted in my wedding dress to the T. I only had to try on two dresses till I found "the one."
GUEST

Perfect dress and staff was helpful to myself (bride) but not very helpful to bridesmaids, mothers, etc.
They should provide comprehensive help and assistance to everyone involved in the wedding.
Also DO NOT give them your email ... SPAM city! Every day, plus random phone calls for various soliciting companies, BEWARE of that!

I was highly disappointed with my experience with David's Bridal in Taylor, MI. The consultant at my initial appointment was helping another bride & forgot about me. She admitted she forgot about me & apologized. I let it slide & did end up finding my dress which was the only time I felt special. While I ultimately was satisfied with the dress I really did not enjoy dealing with the store at all. I was told to bring my veil in a week before the wedding to be steamed. When I did that I was told I should have brought it in 3 weeks before! They did end up steaming it, but were not pleased with me. The seamstress didn't even know I was the bride when she brought it out. The bra that was chosen for me did not fit properly. The seamstress at my alteration appt. even said it didn't fit, but did not offer me another bra, she just went about with the alterations. I had to ask her to help me get into the dress she didn't even offer, just told me to put it on. The final straw was at the church & one of my bridesmaids noticed straight pins falling out of her dress. Despite the final fitting & trying on of the dress, the staff neglected to see that they had not finished hemming the underskirt of the dress. Fortunately, we had safety pins available to remedy the situation. All in all, I would not recommend David's to anyone in the future.

Poor service here. I wont go back and wont recommend.

Now, I'm just going to say what we all know about David's Bridal: They seem to be the "McDonalds" of the bridal dress industry - and, of course, some sales people are much better than others! With that being said, I was satisfied with my service only because I bought the perfect dress there for $99 (originally $800). I had no idea why this dress was left behind for $99 although those where the ONLY dresses I was interested in and didn't really look at anything else.
I am not a typical bride, I walked in, did not want to be shown dresses out of my range, I did not want to be up-sold, I did not even want to sign in so I could be hounded by both David's AND Men's Warehouse, and I most definitely was not going to be attached to a dress. I made my own birdcage veil, and my Aunt did my alterations.
I did find a gorgeous dress on my extremely thrifty budget - and that is all I needed.

I loved my dress. The girls were helpful and attentive. The lady that did my alterations was excellent as well. My only complaint would be that it was VERY hot in the store.

I was pleased with the wedding gown I got from David's Bridal. It was reasonably priced. The bridesmaids dresses were okay. I went to the Madison Heights store. It was very crowded so the sales associate did not have much time for us. The alterations are very expensive. I had to get my bridal gown altered there because they know their gowns so I trusted them but they over charged me.

We loved the dresses for my girls that we got, but multiple times we waited for long periods of time for someone to help us, and then the hooks on the top of the halter dresses kept coming apart while wearing them.

Overall, I would go to David's bridal again because I was able to find a dress that I loved, that fit well for a lesser cost than probably anything I would have found anywhere else. I have to say that my service was pretty terrible though. At my first appointment, the guy had me earmark dresses in their catalog I wanted to try on, but then wouldn't bring them to me because he said he knew I wouldn't like them. Then my Step-mom, sister, and friend had pulled out dresses for me and he put them back because he said they weren't picking the right size for me. Based on just looking at me, he decided I wore 2 sizes bigger than I actually ended up fitting and brought me dresses that I was swimming in. Then at my final fitting APPOINTMENT, the only person there who does alterations was on break and I was stuck trying to zip up my dress myself and have someone who had never seen my dress figure out how to bustle it. I expect when I have an appointment that someone should be there. Again, at the end of the day, I still loved my dress though and REALLY loved that I didn't spend a forture on it.

I tried a walk in at David's and the lady was so stuck up, she said I needed a planner because I seemed distressed. Shrugging this experience off, I did end up going back. I saw a couple dresses there I liked but honestly the girls are so nasty there that I couldn't spend my money in a place like that.

They were terrible and I would never reccommend anyone to ever go there for a bridal dress or bridesmaids!

Everything was great. The prices were more than I expected to pay. For the amount of money I paid I would of thought that hemming was going to be included but I was wrong.

The people (sales associates) at the Taylor, MI David's Bridal aren't the greatest. I was not near a high maintenance bride, but even I couldn't stand going back to the store and dealing with those people. They weren't very helpful and that surprised me, because seriously, i received better treatment at a different David's Bridal as a bridesmaid than I did at this David's Bridal as the bride. At least the prices were good and everything came in on time. Oh and the seamstress was pretty good :-)

I felt I was treated with disrespect and was just another "sale," however that was not the case with every sales representative. I also felt that the store was disorganized because they lost my paperwork and didn't know what some of my girls' sizes were after already having a fitting. It was a mess.

I have heard many people who have had bad experiences with David's Bridal's across the country, however, I never had an ounce of a bad experience while shopping for my dresses. I visited a number of them in the Chicago area, as well as a number of them in Southeastern Michigan. I began shopping for my wedding dress, and didn't end up purchasing it there, but we did get the Bridesmaids dresses from there. I NEVER had an appointment, yet when I went in, I had more than one person attending to me. At one store, I had 3 associates, and a manager. All of them were bringing me dresses, and the manager even brought out a new dress that hadn't been released yet, it was a special dress that they were "testing" at their store. I had forgotten my camera that day (duh) and one of the associates ran out and bought me a disposable camera! Now that's service! I almost regret not buying my dress from them, but the one I fell in love with was at another store.

I am writing this review mostly based on the alterations I had done at David's bridal. I purchased my dress there, which was beautiful and reasonably priced. The sales person I had was very helpful as well. However when I went to have my alterations done, I was shocked to find out that it was going to cost me almost as much as the dress! In addition I had to have my slip hemmed which cost me another $25. When I went to the final fitting I noticed that the crenalin in the slip was very wrinkled and was making the dress bulge out in one spot. When I asked the seamstress if she would iorn it to smooth it out she refused and said that wasn't their job. I was extremely angry and had to talk to 3 different people, including a manager in order for them to finally agree to do it. Although I would recommend getting a dress there, I would recommend getting the alterations done somewhere else.

The dress was reasonably priced and was great. I found their seamstresses to be less then friendly though and for the amount of money they charged not the greatest.

David's Bridal was a great place to get a wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses. They are located all over the country so bridesmaids out of town can try on dresses without having to travel to you. Their prices are reasonable and they have a huge selection of dresses. They have a great staff and will spend as much time as you need to find the perfect dress.

What a disaster! I came for the 99 dollar sale and ended up with a bill of $269. we walked in and received no help, were pointed to the "rack" of dresses in the sale and I kind of regret the choice I made for sake of fit because they only had 3 dresses in my size 16 it was a style dated 10 years retro.

The price of my dress was great but the quality was not very good and the service was not good at all. I went to David's Bridal because I needed to save money but I would not suggest it if you can afford to go elsewhere. I found the assistants to be pushy and they 'loved' everything I put on. Made me skeptical of their opinions. I also felt rushed and felt like I was irritating them by wanting to try on more dresses. The dress I decided to get was dirty and some beads were hanging off. They wanted to repair it and gave me a hard time about me wanting a new dress. Eventually they did order me a new dress.
The girls were very happy with the selection of bridesmaids dresses. They had a few they could not decide on which was great. The price was good as well and the alterations were not expensive. They also had dresses that fit many body types so we found multiple dresses that looked good on all the girls. They dresses arrived on time and pressed and ready to go.
I felt rushed during my alterations. I also felt that it was very impersonal and that they just wanted to hurry up and get done with me because they had a number of other brides, bridesmaids and mothers of the brides lined up that day as well. The price was also expensive and I realized too late that I should have gone to an independent shop for alterations.
