I had such a great experience with David's Bridal. I went into the store to try on dresses in December (I had mad an appointment the day prior). This was my first time trying on dresses anywhere so I was nervous but my consultant, Ally, made me feel at ease. She was very helpful and attentive. She had me walk around to get an idea of the dresses they had in the store and said I could grab any I was interested in trying on. Then she helped me pick a couple more. I ended up finding my dress after trying on only about 6 or 7 dresses!
After purchasing the dress, it only took about 2 weeks to come in! The dress shopping experience couldn't have gone more...

I bought my dress at Davids Bridal Montclair CA. I loved my dress from the first time tried it on. I got went for alterations at the DB in Brea becuse when i moved that one was the closest. Over all at both DBs my experiece was good. I was told my dress would take 3 months to come in so i was scared but it came in about a month from when i ordered it... I loved my dress and so did all my guests!

First I had problems with my dress, alterations specialists ordered the wrong size, then struggled to be able to order the right size, then stabbed me during my alterations and got blood on the dress, then totally messed up my sisters bridesmaids dress. Then, my pregnant sister (they said dress was maternity friendly) was almost in tears because she thought she looked horrible! She had to pay another $120 to get it fixed. Her dress cost more than mine did in the end. The management team did try and make things better and were in contact with us often. Management team gets 5 start, alterations department needs to be replaced!

Very beautiful dress. Great online presence. However, not great with helpfulness of staff and alteration services not very good.

They don't have links to set-up appointments. One of my bridesmaids went in and they couldn't find my name so didn't give her the discount (very horrible). However, my experience as the bride was wonderful. They helped me find a dress with no appointment, did a fitting with a misunderstanding and my dress was perfect for my wedding day.

I had an ok experience with David's Bridal. I would have liked a more advanced person to have worked on alterations, but I did not want to be mean, we all have to start somewhere right??? Other than that the first time I went to try on dresses the girl was super nice, the 2nd time I went in was for my bridesmaids to try on their dresses. Well it was the second time that I was unhappy, the girl was not very helpful, pushy, and I had to go and look for dresses she said they supposedly did not had, which they did because I found them.

terrible alterations department in the brea wing.. had a horrible experience

I purchased my dress from David's Bridal in Montclair. I actually purchased the first dress I tried on! The saleslady was helpful and I got an outstanding deal!!! My dress was exactly what I had always dreamed that it would look like!
I also had all my alterations completed here. They quality of the work was superb and I was very happy with it. However, the alterations cost more money than they estimated they would be. That was unfortunate.

I would NOT recommend David's Bridal in Montclair to any bride. I went to get my dress for my wedding and I was helped my a representative that was working with other girls at the same time so I wasn't given the attention I needed. In addition, the alteration representative is suppose to come out and tell you what can be done with your dress once you've selected a dress and that was never done. When I went back to alter my dress a month before my wedding they messed up my dress and I had to get a completely different dress two weeks before my wedding.

The staff was very friendly and I received my dress along with my bridesmaid's dresses in a little over a week!!!

The Montclair David's Bridal store is amazing!! I have been to a lot of different stores, and this by far is the best!! All of the staff members are willing to give you that time and make your bridal experience one to remember! Everyone was so helpful to my needs and wants, and most importantly they listened to everything I wanted in a dress! I love this store and would recommend it to everyone!

Dress a good value, but alteration prices are steep!

The ladies at the Montclair store were so helpful and pleasent to work with. They assisted me with my dress and when I got my dress and got it home (several months before my wedding) I noticed that there was a snag in the front of the material. I called the store they said to bring it back. They gave me two options they could fix it or they could send for a new one (no charge to me either way I went) I chose to have my dress replaced and they were so wonderful about it. They all did the alterations to my dress and that was done in a timely fashion. It was a little bit expensive but I figured the dress came from them, and should anything go wrong they could fix it.
I had 6 girls in my wedding they all got their dresses from the Montclair store and again the staff was wonderful.

Elianna was so helpful every time I came in! My dress was perfect and all of my bridesmaids looked gorgeous:)

The staff at davids bridal was amazing! When I walked into my appointment there was a sign on a dressing room that said welcome Jessica! They pulled out amazing dresses for me to try on, and my 3rd dress was the one. I fell in love instantly. The prices weren't bad at all! And my alterations were done in a short time. My only problem was on my wedding day the top of my dress stretched out and I had to keep pulling it up all night. But other than that it was a beautiful dress! And I was very pleased with the davids bridal staff!

I actually bought my dress from someone who had bought it from David's and then changed her mind. So I didn't work directly with David's bridal except for when I went to try it on. However, the dress was beautiful and held up all day and still looks gorgeous - for $500!

I was going to have my dress made because I didn't want anything traditional, but all of a sudden the bridal shop I made my deposit to closed down. I was frantic with only one month before my wedding date and no dress. I walked into David's Bridal-Montclair about to cry, because I needed a dress, something not too fancy. They found my dress, measured me and placed the order. The dress arrived a week or so later, then I fitted and had it done by the big day. They were lifesavers!!! I also ordered my invitations from David's Bridal...they were beautiful :)

I don't recommend it. They don't size you right so I ended up with a dress that was a size too big. Then when you try it on the alteration department tells you everything needs to be altered. Well of course, they didn't get me the right size. I came here because I didn't want to spend over a thousand on a dress that I'd only wear for one day. I found one for $500, but the alteration cost would have cost me another $300. Okay, so that's not over a thousand but it's 60% of the cost of the dress just for alterations which didn't make sense to me when they should've ordered a dress that actually fits instead of guessing.
When I told the alteration lady I'll have my mom alter my dress, she got upset and made me feel bad.
They make you pay for a dress bag too. If you tell them it's okay, they'll threaten that you're dress will be horribly wrinkled when you get home.
Also, they were supposed to email/call me when the dress came in. I guess they did email but you have to open each junk mail you get from them to make sure you don't miss it. I missed mine b/c I was deleting all the junk they were sending me. And they never called. So I called a little after they said they'd have it, and they said it's been there for a month. I would've have reordered the right size if they actually tried to get in contact with me instead of one easily missed email, but I didn't have enough time til my wedding so I couldn't.
Oh, and they scheduled me to pick up the dress on Sunday at 10am. Well they don't open til 12pm on Sundays. I didn't realize it til the night before when I was checking back on their location, but I thought maybe pick up times are different from store hours. Wrong. So I ended up waiting in front of the store for 2 hours. When I told the associate, their response, "Oh, really? I guess so-and-so made a mistake." I don't care who made the mistake. It should be a team responsibility. I got no apology from anyone.
If you wanna be a happy bride, I don't recommend this place.

I went to the one in Northridge, CA and was very happy with them after I wen to the one in Burbank, CA which was a complete nightmare...
If you go to the one in Northridge go during the day....or on a Sunday these time seem to be the least crowded. Alterations can be a little pricey....I had my dress hemmed...although it did have a long train and it needed a lot of bustling and it was about $300...and on my last fitting they noticed I needed a couple more bustle bead and loops and they did it at not charge since it wasn't noticed in the first fitting. When I picked up my dress a few days before the wedding it was very nicely steamed and packaged and looked very fresh on the big day.

This one is tough. I had gone into Davids bridal not expecting much, and really i was not wowed by anything. I was in there for the soul purpose of trying to find a silhouette that looked good on me so i could have my dress made. I ended up finding a style the worked fine and was on sale so i ended up just purchasing it. There customer service was nothing to write home about. I did however have a slip EMERGENCY. When i was going to my fittings .... my seamstress told me that the way my slip fit was not correct and i had too small of a size. Mind you, this was a week before the wedding. I had called the Montclair store, they looked it up in the computer and said that Costa Mesa may have one in my size. So she gave me the number. The only great customer service I had received was from Michelle In the Costa Mesa store. Over 50 miles from my house. She did not have one in her store but she called and had one next day aired to her store, and then she transferred it over to the store near my house. I was so appreciative. Not only did she treat me with respect and kindness. She made me feel relived. It was one less thing I had to stress about. Coming from a woman of size, who doesn't have many choices. I would visit this store at least to try some things on and possibly get a deal. Other then that, I would rather of spent the money and had one made.

If you can buy your dress without any need for any alterations then go here, especially when it's during the $99 dollar dress sale. If you have to do some alterations then go somewhere else! I was promised that I would be able to turn my strapless dress (came with optional cap sleeves) into a halter which then it would have turned out to be perfect. What ended up happening was that 1 month before my wedding day the head seamstress changed her mind and told me she couldn't!!! I was stuck with a potential perfect dress. Then when I went in for final fitting 2 weeks before the same lady wondered why I didn't alter it into a halter like I orginally wanted to.... ?!?! Then she proceeded to tell me that it was too late anyways and that it was my fault that I misheard her. She left me in tears and I was almost at the point where I wanted to buy a whole new dress from somewhere else because it was tainted. After a crying session on my husband-to-be's shoulders along with some very nice customer service reps from the store, I ended up walking down the aisle with a nice capped sleeve dress for the ceremony and used a cropped jacket for the reception. For Bride's maid dresses, Mother's of the Bride/Groom, flowergirl dress and accessories great to get here. Beware the alterations department though!

at first i was reluctant to go to david's bridal, but once i did visit i knew that i would be shopping there. the saleswoman was wonderful, cheerful and very accomadating.

I had a great experience buying my wedding dress here. Staff was very nice and helpful. However, alterations were a nightmare! Very expensive and staff member was misleading. Staff member was also very rude and unhelpful. Wonderful experience with bridesmaids dresses. Everyone looked beautiful; dresses very flattering.
GUEST

I went there initially to look at dresses with one of my bride's maids and found a few in my price range that i liked(we were on a VERY tight budget). I went back about 2 months later with my mom and found the one i loved that was too expensive on sale for $99! I was able to get it right off the rack and only needed a few alterations on length. The dress was originally $800.

Very friendly staff that took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for in a dress. Went above and beyond tomake sure I got the dress I wanted even though it had been discontinued!

David's Bridal is not just about gowns; they do great invitations, too. We found some beautiful invitations that were a wonderful value for the money, and they arrived within a few weeks. I would definitely recommend them!

I actually got this dress out of state.
The had a very nice selection.
I enjoyed dress shopping very very much.

David's Bridal has always had a great assortment of dresses. After looking online I knew which styles I really liked. Going into the store, I basically picked out a few to try on and voila! I found it and it was on sale (which is never a horrible thing). The only thing that turned me off a bit about the experience is our saleswomen was rather pushy and kept trying to insist that I try the dress with my hair in an updo, which I had already decided against. Then she also tried to sell all these additional things such as a veil, purse, shoes, and tuxedo rental but as long as you are confident in your choices, it's not that horrible to decline. Overall, my dress was perfect for my small wedding.

This place is a joke. I cannot believe that I ended up using them. They are not near as accomidating as I expected them to be. The staff was blah and not cheery like they should be given the line of work they are in. Poor quality as well
GUEST

I had a horrible time with this company-they have average products, which are overpriced. The main problem was the sales people fighting over me as a customer for the commission. I kept getting bounced around and ended up only getting accessories since I found another vendor with higher customer service and better quality products for around the same price. I will NEVER recommend this store for anything but shoes and cheap prom dresses.
GUEST

they were able to order and receive the items i needed quickly and on time.
