My bridesmaids all ordered their dresses from Davids Bridal in Center Point Mall. Each of my girls ordered a different dress. When the order was entered in the computer they ended up ordering all my girls the same dress. So two of my three girls had to go in a re-order their dress and even pay extra money. The extra money was added because of the cost of the actual dress that should have been ordered. I am totally ticked off because this is a mistake that was made by the employees of the store not by my girls. Why should they have to pay to fix a mistake that was made by the store????

What a blessing, the staff at David's Bridal helped me find my beautiful wedding dress. They even altered it to the exact specifications I desired! Such a great company.

I had a great experience with picking out my wedding dress and would recommend others getting their wedding dress from David's Bridal. However, I had a horrible experience with my bridesmaid dresses that I do not think was handled very well by the store. I chose multiple colors for our wedding to do a spring theme for april. Well two of the colors I had chosen were discontinued before half of my bridesmaids could order their dresses, and no notice was given. Long story short I had to completely change all colors in my wedding because I didn't like the color options I was left with and my theme didnt work anymore. And that is after having bought many decorations to match. No notice was given about changing colors and we found out when some of my out of state bridesmaids went in to order. Also no compensation was offered for the inconvience and the loss of money on the non refundable items that were already purchased, including hundreds of dollars worth of artificial flowers.
I just think that things could have been handled much more professionally.

I loved my dress!! It was beautiful. Good prices on the dress but not on the alterations.

More attention is needed to the brides and their bridesmaids when trying on or finding dresses. We were basically on our own in thge store with no direction or assistance. Dressing rooms need to be enlarged due to the frilley dresses being tried on - very hard to move within the dressing room.

I loved my dress! My mom and I went in to David's Bridal kind of spur the moment, we made an appointment maybe 2 hours before and the attendant was super helpful. My mom and I brought along dress clippings from different magazines that we liked and she was able to find dresses that were close to them and quickly. She was very knowledgeable and helpful, I was really impressed!
I had my heart set on a certain dress but it wasn't available at David's Bridal but they are one that had all of the details that was in other one.
The service was amazing and everyone was super friendly and...

I worked with Laci at David's Bridal and she made my dress shopping experience so great!

I bought my dress here. It was the second one I tried on. All my bridesmaids got their dresses here too. My dress was perfectly priced but I did have to buy modesty panels because it was cut so low! Also, my bridemaid's dresses that came in were cut much lower than the store samples and were overpriced for the quality. As for service, they showed us to a room. That was it. The only redeeming factor is, because I bought my dress there, the bridesmaids got like 10 or 15 percent off their gowns.
GUEST

The prices were great and there was a big selection, however they ordered the wrong size dress and then tried to blame me for the mix-up. They refused to give me any break on the price for alterations to fix it. I didn't feel like the sales staff was very attentive while trying to pick out the dress either.
GUEST

I found a beautiful wedding dress that I purchased here. The only problem was we pretty much did it on our own. My consultant was busy helping about 3 other people, even when we called to make an appointment. We also had a problem with the bridesmaids dress colors, and after calling 4 times we finally got ahold of a manager, who was rude and did not help fix the dresses. So we had to settle for not so nice bridesmaids dresses.
GUEST

I had gone with a friend who was also getting married. The first visit was awesome. The consultant was only dealing with the two of us so she was able to help us with what we needed and I found the dress I loved. On the second visit ((which i had called and set up an appointment for)) the receptionist forgot to tell my consultant and she overbooked us so I was put with another girl who made us wait almost 45 minutes and who was also working with someone who was trying on what looked like prom dresses. My mom basically did all the work the consultant was supposed to. I was not very pleased with my service. They are very disorganized.
GUEST

Loved my dress! I like that they have bridesmaids dresses in a variety of colors.
GUEST

I had a fantastic experience here. I found my wedding dress after only trying on 3 dresses. The dress was going to be discontinued so it was on sale for half price :) My alterations were also done here and I had no problems. My dress fit perfectly! I felt like a princess on my wedding day. Give David's Bridal a try!!

I wanted to exchange my veil at the DB in Portage michigan and they would not let me have an in store credit for it and i was ticked because it was like 180 bucks and i decided i hated it.... lets just say dont piss a bride off a monnth before her wedding...... needless to say i gave them some crap but it didnt work

Shopping at David's is definitely hit or miss, I found the most amazing wedding dress the first day I went in and the girl who helped me was very helpful and nice. When I went back to find bridesmaids dresses it was a different story, they were busy so even though we had an appointment the service was haphazard and their dresses were overpriced. The 3rd time I went in, (with my recently engaged bridesmaid) she found a wedding dress she liked and we couldn't find a salesperson so we went into a dressing room and I helped her try it on, we subsequently got scolded and asked to immediately take it off and wait for an associate although she did not offer to find one for us. Also their alterations are very overpriced as are their accessories. The iciing at the mall is the best place for bling and tiaras =)

Found my dress the first time I went out shopping. They have awesome deals and all the girls are friendly. They came through on all the little mishaps and I was very happy over all!
GUEST

I bought the most stunning gown and had the matching flower girl gowns to go with it. This was by far the best choice for the wedding!
GUEST

In the end, I purchased a beautiful dress. But in the 3 visits to try on dresses I had only one good helper.
Also I was not informed that I should add 1 week to the delivery date for them to steam the dress before I could pick it up.
I called the week my dress was to arrive and it was in but they couldn't find it at first because it was put in a box w/ flower girl dresses. So I may have been able to get it earlier if it wasn't misplaced.
GUEST

We actually went to the one located in Lansing and the woman who helped me and my bridesmaids stuck around a little after closing to make sure we were all happy :). She even shipped my maid of honor's dress to her so she didn't have to drive to Lansing from Grand Rapids....I've never had such great service at Davids Bridal before!!
GUEST

i actually went to the davids bridal in flint michigan, very pleased overall
GUEST

I found the dress i loved there, the person helping me wasn't very willing. The people who went with me helped more than the consultant.
GUEST

Loved my Wedding dress. And it wasn't $1,000+ ... it was affordable and the Bridesmaids dresses were expensive but beautiful. Flower girl dresses on the other hand, over priced. We had a family friend make one that looked even better for less $ it all looked wonderful.
GUEST

My visits to David's Bridal were always hit or miss. Some of the girls were really helpful, I'd recommend Qua to anyone. The alterations dept. were a little frustrating. I was supposed to pick my dress up 2 weeks prior to the wedding and though my alterations were done, the cleaning and pressing wasn't.. so I ended up having to pick my dress 2 days before the wedding.
GUEST

I wasn't happy with the fact that they refused to order my dress in the correct size or to change the sash on it to match my wedding colors, BUT other than that I did love my dress & in the end I didn't need alterations. I can't comment on that service. Going there to find a dress though, well they seem rude, busy & annoyed half of the time, but I did get the dress I wanted for my day.
GUEST

My dress is beautiful but this place was very unorganized, I was given little attention and when my bridesmaids went to pick up their dresses they had no idea which one it was because the person who I worked with never recorded it. Huge inconvenience for all.
GUEST

David's Bridal was a great place for finding my wedding gown, and my bridesmaids' dresses. It was a fun atmosphere and had a great selection. And, the prices were not outrageous. The alterations department did an amazing job as well, I would definitely recommend them.
GUEST

They have some nice dresses but make sure you take it to a different place to do alterations. They are very expensive and the quality is not good. Also when you order bridesmaid dresses be careful you can order 3 size 6 dresses and they can all be different sizes be ready to alter it!
GUEST

My bridesmaids bought their dresses from Davids with no problem. It was easy for them to find the dress style they liked and to get it in the same color. Unfortunately getting my wedding dress was a little harder. I found a dress I liked and my consultant ordered it in the wrong size. Davids told me that it was my problem because the dress was already paid for, even though I wasn't the one who ordered it. It took about 6 weeks to get this mess figured out and I finally got a more expensive dress for the price I paid on the wrong order. They also took the wrong order back, eventually.

Overall the selection at Davids Bridal is really great, however the service at a couple of the locations that we visited was lacking. We felt as if we were being rushed, that our presence there wasn't important not to mention having to wait for almost 1 hour to even be asked if we were being served.
I'm happy with the girls dresses..but the treatment given was really cold.
GUEST

I have to say, I LOVED my dress, but I can't honestly recommend David's. The only reason I went there was because I planned my wedding in 2 months- so I needed to get something off-the-rack and quick. Even though it was off-the-rack, I had to wait 3 weeks just for them to clean and "bead check" the dress. Well, the "bead check" obviously didn't happen because there were loose beads all over! Luckily I had a GREAT seamstress who did an actual bead check. Like I said, my dress was gorgeous, and I only paid $500 (I can't justify spending more than that on something I would wear once anyway...) but just don't expect good service.
GUEST

My brides maids bought their dresses at David’s Bridal. We loved the color selection and styles available. Unfortunately I feel like the staff needs a training course. Every time we were there I felt like I was teaching them their job. When it came to colors and what styles came in what colors the girls were always so wishy washy. When it comes down to it, DB has great selection and good prices. Just do your shopping and looking online before you go in so YOU can help yourself. :-)
GUEST

I absolutely loved my dress, but there were a few snags in the service. The staff was not always helpful, they wanted to put on me what they thought would look good on me rather than what I wanted to try on. Also, when my dress finally came in, it had a few snags in it. Fortunately, they were very willing to send it back for a new one. The dress was a great price, so if you are looking for more dress for you dollar, try David's Bridal!
GUEST

When I was first shopping for a wedding gorn and bridesmaid dresses we tried David's Bridal. They were packed full of customers and not very polite or helpful (bordering on rude), so we all decided to buy our dresses elsewhere. But, after about 2 months of waking up from nightmares about my first wedding dress, I decided to purchase a new one 1 month before my wedding. I decided to try David's again because they were having a sale and have lots of dresses right in the store. The salesperson I had the 2nd time was much nicer and I was able to find a beautiful and affordable dress that needed only minimal alterations. There were alot of add-on costs that I didn't expect, tho. So, by the time I made it up to the desk to pay, my bill had gone up several times! I was still happy with my dress--it looked lovely and felt great for the wedding--but didn't have a very pleasant wedding gown shopping experience.

i bought my dress at one of the $99 sales. the first consultant i had was really rude. Me and all my bridesmaids went in there and my mom was running late. i asked if we could look at bridesmaids dresses first and she insisted we had to pick out a wedding dress before we could pick out dresses for the bm and wouldn't wait for my mom. luckily she walked in soon after than but the entire appointment she was rude. my first fitting was scheduled and the planed a month and a half before i could try it on. the called me 15 minutes before the appointment and wanted to push the appointment back 2.5 hours. then they called me 20 min. before my later appointment and wanted to cancel. I had a bm driving an hour an a half so they squeezed me in. when we got there, the dress hadn't even been touched and was lying on the floor!!! the dress was beautiful but the service was horrible.

I WAS HELPFUL BECAUSE OF SIZES BUT 2 PIECE DRESSES HELPED,EXPECIALLY BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER AND SKIRT LEIGNTH

David's Bridal was extremely helpful and willing to help me find the perfect dress. They were very patient as I tried on all the dresses!

There were a few times that I was there that the ladies helping me were rude & not very helpful. However, the very first time I went and another time I had Monica- and she was GREAT. Make sure you work with her. She knows exactly what to do and can keep everything straight. She isn't pushy & is very sweet!

Not recommended. I had looked all overe and liked several dresses at different shops. I loved my dress that I found at Davids Bridal in GR, MI and it was off the rack so I felt I couldnt go wrong. The original sales person said they could put a corset in no problem. So I bought it. Then I came back and was told they couldnt. Then they said they could and it was more than they said it would be. So the training there was obviously not good. I could never get the same sales person as they would no longer be working there. Many of the sales people are a little rough around the edges, and not the most knowledgable. I would guess they get paid very little and it shows.
Then I got home and the dress is less expensive on their website than it was in the store and what I paid! They were nice and credited me the difference quickly. But it still made me mad.
Alterations: Not very friendly. Did not make me feel special in any way. I set an appointment, left work early and then I got there on time and I forgot my bra out in my car (a 2 minute walk away). The seamstress made me re-schedule my appointment for the weekend. I live far away and that really ticked me off. Then later I found out they sell bras there she should have offered me to use!!! VERY RUDE!!!
It was not worth the stress buying my dress here. Quality is low, service is poor. It would have been worth paying double anywhere else and not having had to deal with them.

I loved my dress. they had a great selection. The first time I went there, I was not impressed with how they were helping me, but when I gave them one more chance and went on a less busy day, it was much better.
GUEST

i wasn't at all impressed i went there 4 times, for different bridal party needs. they were rude, unattentive and just not pleasant to work with. you're supposed to be so excited and enjoy and they made me so frustrated.

We got MOB, MOG, and 3 bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal and my wedding dress was the one I fell in love with there but bought from another bride instead of from the store. We always had attentive service, even when the store was busy. The dresses all came in faster than quoted and we were promptly contacted when they had arrived. I appreciated the great selection and reasonable prices.

I went to Davids Bridal and bought my dress! I tried two dresses on and the second one I bought! My girls also got there dresses there. They each spent $145.00 for just the dress! They are very pretty- I love Davids Bridal because they have different colors to choose from in different style dresses! They also have different shoes there that you can get died if you wanted!

Everything came in fine, but many items had to be ordered, came in at multiple times, so it meant multiple trips to pick them up, since items cannot be held very long at the store. Overall, we were happy with the dresses, and everything else purchased there.
GUEST

The bridesmaid dresses came from David's Bridal, and while the dresses themselves were good quality for the price and great colors... (although, do check your dress(es) carefully before leaving the store, one of my bridesmaids had white spots on her dress that the staff didn't catch - had to reorder it) dealing with the sales staff there was a nightmare. I would not recommend.
GUEST

The first day I walked into the store, I felt like a princess. The sales consultant was so helpful and patient with me, and I found THE dress that made me cry when I tried it on. After that time, David's Bridal became a nightmare. The sales consultant was pushy and tried to sell me everything in the store. I went in one time with my petite bridesmaid to get an idea of what dresses looked like on her, and another day with my plus size bridesmaid and at that time the consultant wanted me to order my dresses instead of let her try on dresses and see what looked good on her. My choice was between a bridesmaid dress here and one at Bridal Elegance in Grand Rapids, and I went with the other store only because the service was HORRIBLE at David's Bridal. The prices are great at this store, but it was not worth ruining an experience that is supposed to be one of the most fun in a girl's life!
GUEST

Monica was great! She found the dress that made me look like a supermodel! She was so easy to talk to and she was not pushy! She was very friendly and knows her products very well. I highly recommend her as a consultant.
GUEST

Loved my dress, and it was definitely worth the price. I got a beautiful vintage looking lace strapless dress with beading for half price. It was originally $900 and it was on sale for $$500. They had the $99 sale going on so that meant I got $50 off that which made it $450. The only thing I would have to complain about, the consultants are obviously paid commission since when you come in for one thing, they want to sell you the whole store, including shoes, jewelry, tiaras, veils, undergarments and alot of those things I could have gotten for a better price elsewhere so its hard to keep the consultant only focused on the dress you want. Another issue was the alterations. It wasn't so bad of a price, but since they have so many, its crazy how many weeks they need just for one thing. My bustle took 6 weeks and since I planned my wedding in 4 months, I basically got my wedding dress the week before I got married and that was kind of scary since I didnt know if I changed physically in a month and a half and could still fit in my dress! Overall though, David's Bridal has good prices when it comes to dresses and alterations. Just be prepared to get a whole lot of sales pushing and keep in mind the time factor.
GUEST

To be quite honest, I really didn't want to get my dress from David's Bridal but that is where I found it and for a reasonable price. The girl that helped me, Monica, was very nice and attentive and she later helped my mom and I pick out the Mother of the Bride dress. I didn't get my alterations done within the store since they are so expensive, but she did advise me on what I should ask for when getting the alterations done so that the integrity of the dress was kept in tact. I had many compliments on my dress and was very satisfied with my purchase. I think that the service at David's bridal is hit or miss. I believe they work on comission, so if you are going in to just look around they aren't going to be as helpful.
GUEST

I was fully geared in davids bridal gear, from head to toe. They were a one stop shop for all my wedding needs. My dress was GORGEOUS, i recieved so many compliments on it. However, they people who helped us were less than friendly, and they were slightly unorgainzed. I had bought shoes there that were dyed the wrong color, and then were lost when they were re-dyed. They did go to great lengths to get me new shoes asap, but i was not impressed with the fact they lost my shoes in the first place.
Other than that, everything was wonderful, dress, shoes, earings, hair piece and veil all matched perfectly by the time the big day came, and I felt beautiful. Thank you Davids Bridal!
GUEST

I absolutely loved my dress... the first time I went there to first look at dresses they were very helpful.. but everything went downhill from there. We also did our bridesmaid dresses there and that was great, till the girls had to go pay for them and order them. I had gone in two weeks before to make sure everything was in order (colors, sizes, etc). When the first girl went to go order her dress they said they didn't have anything on file and made her try to figure out what dress it was again and try it on. I called while she was there and turns out they did have everything on file so my bridesmaid went through all of that for nothing. I also bought shoes there telling the associate I planned on wearing them for my wedding and than bringing them back to be dyed for a wedding I was in. The associate thought that was a great idea. When I went to have them dyed I was told they wouldn't and couldn't do it cause I had already worn the shoes. Wish I would have known that before I bought them.

Pretty much terrible. Worst vendor I used by far. I had heard bad reviews of this David's location so I was aware of what to expect. I was just very surprised at just how bad it actually was. The only reason I bought my dress there is because I was there with my sister in law because she chose our bridesmaids dresses from there for her wedding. I saw this dress on a mannequin (it was a gorgeous lace Oleg Cassini) and wanted to try it on. So my mom and I went back by ourselves and I tried it on and fell in love with it. Unfortunately. I had been to about 15 other shops all across Michigan and nothing had even come close to being "the one". So when I had that moment with this dress I knew I had to get it even though the store, the staff, and the experience sucked.
First, when I was there to try it on the first time, two girls helped me. The first girl brought me a billion dresses and just left me. Then she disappeared and I had nobody for a while. Another girl came and I found out the first girl went to lunch. This second girl was the opposite. She was wayyyyyyy too hands on! Literally! She wouldn't let my mom come in the dressing room to help me and she was putting her hands where they didn't belong to get me into the dresses. It was very uncomfortable and I tried to tell her I didn't need quite that much help but she was very forceful. Then I came back to actually purchase the dress and although I had an appointment I waited for 40 minutes until I was helped. Anna came to help me and she didn't have a clue. It seemed like she was in lala land the entire time. And when she measured me to see what size I needed, (my mom is a seamstress so she helped a lot) I was too small for a size 2 and Anna said the next size down was a double 0 and that would be too small. Well, stupid me I should have questioned why they skipped a size but quite frankly I just wanted to get out of there. They didnt skip a size, Anna just couldn't read. The sizes were in double digit form (10, 08...02, 00) So it wasn't a double zero, it was just two digits to represent size zero. Anyway, I had to have a lot of alterations done but since I had heard horror stories about Davids' alterations I took it elsewhere.
The only thing I was happy with was my dress. It was gorgeous and very reasonably priced. But that was thanks to Oleg Cassini and not directly to Davids. I would only recommend them to girls that want a low price for a pretty dress but you MUST have tons of patience and be prepared for a disaster.

Absolutely loved my dress, Davids Bridal is a great choice for any bride!

My bridesmaid's had quite a few issues with David's Bridal. They assured my larger maid of honor that the dress we selected would be in in time - but it wasn't. This forced her to get a different dress at the last minute. My size 2 bridesmaid was instructed by David's to get a size 8 dress and "alter it to size" for an additional $200!! They were very rude to my entire wedding party, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I realize this is a national chain and it is very well known - but they definitely did not take the stress out of planning a wedding!

The service was horrible! They treat you like crap as soon as you walk in the door. I brought in my slip and veil to try on with the dress and i had it in a brown paper bag and when i walked in the woman there to great me asked very loudly and rudely "why do you have that bag?" i felt like trailer trash. Also my fiance went in to make a cash payment on the dress and the woman left him at the counter while she searched for her water and then had a different associate come and finish the sale. Very disappointed. The only reason i went there was i found "the dress", if i could go back now i think i would have gone somewhere else due to the service.

David's is a great place to get your wedding dress and anything else you need. My consultant was so very helpful and didn't pull any punches just to sell me a dress. She was honest when I asked her opinion, didnt tell me I looked great because she wanted to sell me a pricey dress. She was genuinely there to help me find something that complimented my fuller figure and my style in a wedding gown.
My bridesmaids had the same experience, they were very pleased with the service they received when they went to try on their dresses and get them ordered.

Picking out my dress here was great. The consultant I got was wonderful. She was young and really into her job. I have seen other less enthused consultants at this shop, and am glad that I got a good one! The delivery was great, and the fittings went well. The lady who did my alterations was really professional and good at her job. She only needed one fitting to get it perfect. My dress was gorgeous and I loved it! The price for the alterations was a bit high, but I am very petite, so for the average person it probably wouldn't be too hard. Also, they only do alterations on a couple of the weekdays, but they were willing to do mine on a Sunday because I couldn't get off work. I would recommend David's Bridal to any bride who wants a large selection and decent prices.

My dresses are okay for my girls, but the people were very unfriendly. I didnt even get my wedding dress from them because i could not stand them. if i had not falling in love with the girls dresses i would not have gotten those from there either
GUEST

I got all of my bridesmaids dresses at David's Bridal, and we had no problems with them. It was convenient because we selected the specific dress at the GR location, but then my girls could try on and pick out their dresses at whichever David's Bridal was close to them (key, since we had people in Florida, Maryland, and Michigan). The dresses came on time with the correct colors and sizes, and although tailoring was a bit expensive it worked wonders for the places where the dress fit funny. All in all I was very happy with it, even with it being a national chain.

I had a great time working with David's Bridal in selecting my wedding dress and my maid of honor's dress. They were very helpful during the process and very patient. Their alterations staff were also great! They really worked with me to make sure my dress fit perfectly and made sure I was happy with it in the end. They have so many dresses to choose from and so many color options for bridesmaid dresses, why wouldn't you give them a try? Another great feature, is that their color options coordinate with Men's Warehouse's vest colors. That made me very happy. I didn't have to guess which color would be the closest. They knew already.

i really enjoyed going to davids bridal to get my dress my consultant nikki was a pure pleasure to work with and made sure i got what i wanted and was satisfied with my decision it was not all about a sale it was about seeing the bride (me) happy and that made me feel good. so im going to have my bridemaids go there also!

I would not be so judgemental if the fact that my dress zipper split 5 hours after putting it on. I was able to fit into a size 6 dress at the shop but the suggested I order a size 8, so I did...The dress was not tight at all in fact I had to pull it up a couple times through out the night. I ordered my dress on Dec 11, 2008 it didn't get here until the end of march. I could have just gotten one off the rack and not had to worry. I had an appointment to get fitted for my dress and ended up sitting in the waiting area for nearly 20 minutes. Not really that happy. To top all that, the wonderful coupon book that we are supposed to get when we order our dress, I never got!

After having a horrible time trying to pick out a wedding dress (mainly due to several horrible staff people) I was positive i would never go back to Davids Bridal. But alas, I needed to pick out corrosponding clothes for 3 bridesmaids and our mothers, so I trudged back in about a month later. The service there the next time was much better, and the people were much friendlier. We managed to get all 3 of my bridesmaids fitted and able to order within 45 minutes.

This was one of the worst shops that we went to. We made the appt, arrived early, and were treated horribly. The consultant didn't bring any of the dresses I requested and kept bringing me things that I hated. I was sure to tell her that I didn't like this style and she was not listening. I am a size 8 with larger hips and she was bringing tight dresses and things that i didn't like. I am very fast trying the dresses on and the majority of the time we were there we were waiting. Finally after what seemed like 40 minutes of waiting for the next 3 dresses to arrive at the fitting room. We simply walked out. No one said good bye or anything.
I will never recommend any of my friends go here!

All the dresses were ready on time & alterations were done quickly & VERY GOOD!

I had few options for finding my dress. We were home from Dublin for Thanksgiving and I had basically one chance to find it with my sisters and my mom. And I didn't want to have to go to every store in GR to find it. My sister booked our session for me and was told that I could go online, create an account and save any dresses I was interested in trying on so that when we came in, they could pull up my account and immediately pull those dresses for me. When we arrived at the store, we were not only assigned to a representative that was already helping another bride, we were also told that no, they could not pull up my account and we would have to search through all the dresses ourselves. We pulled a few and I started to try them on. My sisters, who knew exactly what I was looking for, continued to search for dresses for me but were rudely told they needed to let our representative do that. The representative obviously was NOT interested in learning what I was looking for and brought dresses that were the exact opposite of what I like. She was also having a hard time juggling two brides at the same time, usually leaving me standing with nothing to try on. We were about ready to leave when she, after my mom told her we were completely unhappy with her service, finally apologised and did a better job at helping us. This included her suddenly being able to pull up my account and finding the dresses I was most interested in. Now, we did finally find my dress and I bought it on the spot. However, later after seeing pictures of me in the dress (after returning home to Dublin), I became concerned about how the top fit and my mom called the store to see if we could exchange it for the same dress in another size. First, she was told by a very snotty representative that it was past the return date and that was not possible. My mom explained that I was located out of the country, that the dress had never been worn, still had the tags and was still in the garmet bag. She was then told she could bring it in, but they would be doing a VERY close inspection of the dress to make sure it had not been worn and there was nothing wrong with it. This is obviously understandable, but the rudeness is unacceptable. Luckily, when she went into the store with the dress, she was helped by a very sweet representative who bent over backwards to help her.
Our biggest complaint with Davids is that you never know what kind of service you are going to get. I did love my dress, but had I had more options, I would have gone to another store where I am sure we would have been treated much better.

My dress was amazing! However, the customer services was all over the bored, I know way too many ppl that have been hurt by how rude their workers are. I feel they are a monopoly and bacause of that don't care that they don't treat EVERYONE with respect and kindness. Also, their prices are high.

Messed up my orders over three times. We had a big party, yes, me + 8 bridesmaids, big money for them, big headache for me! Steer clear, unless you just really need to go cheap and save money. That's all it's good for. And leave PLENTY of time to correct the many mistakes that may arise!
GUEST

Every dress that I ordered for my bridesmaids was messed up (wrong colors or sizes) My dress was sent back twice, the first time was for the color and the second time (1month before the wedding) was because there were box cutter marks accross the butt of the dress. They ignored my mother in law when she made an appointment and were rude to my bridesmaids. It was a nightmare and a headache that no bride should have to deal with. I would rather pay more money then ever walk in there again

I was not impressed with the way they handled the fact that I was pregnant and still going to be pregnant when I got married. They assumed that I would need a much bigger dress than I actually needed and then I had to get a new dress two weeks before my wedding due to the fact that my dress would not fit at all. I then could not get the dress I wanted because it was not in the store at the time.
GUEST

I loved that David's Bridal has so many options in dresses and that they keep small and large sizes. Its hard to go to a shop that only carries sizes 12 and bigger and imagine how they look on a size 4 frame. The also ordered my dress and it was in quickly!
GUEST

The people were not friendly; the dresses were not high quality. I liked the bridesmaid dresses for the cost but would never buy a wedding gown from there.
GUEST

The "reception" table personnel were quite snobby and unfriendly, but the actual woman that helped me pick out my dress were very friendly, helpful and great to work with.
GUEST

My dress and my sisters' dresses were from David's bridal and with two completely different body types it was a task! But we did it and they looked beautiful!! Thanks for making up B-E-A-utiful!
GUEST

I found David's Bridal staff very helpful and nice.
Prices are great! You can get some really nice stuff for a lot cheaper than other wedding stores.
GUEST

The place was soooo packed it was hard to move around in but the girl who helped me was great!!!!!!!!

I loved David's Bridal. I bought my dress, bridesmaids dresses, and invitations at David's. Through their store and website I found alot of variety and great value. I search a long time for the perfect dress at lots of different bridal stores, but I kept going back to David's bridal. With my coupon book my girls were able to get 20% off their dresses. Combined with David's great sales discounts, one of my six bridesmaid bought her dress for $40 that was originaly almost $200. My dress was very had alot of small bead work along with a cathedral length train and short sleeves. On other websites a similar dress went over $1500 and I bought mine for $500. The only problem with David's Bridal that I ran into was their alterations department. The lady was rude and she was the only one that didn't make me feel great about david's bridal.
GUEST

I loved my dresses... I just wish I had more one on one help.

I had always hear horror stories from brides concerning David's Bridal but with my small budget I was having difficulty finding a dress I liked, and could afford, at other bridal salons. My first visit went very well and I found a dress I loved and ended up purchasing. I found the staff very attentive when they were not too busy, as the store was often crowded. I also had my alterations done in the store and was very pleased with them as well. I was especially pleased with the value for the cost! My dress was as elaborate and detailed as dresses I was finding for thousands of dollars at other bridal salons and everyone loved it the day of my wedding.
GUEST

They were, for the most part great! There were a few small hitches but they were worked out. I don't recommend using their alteration service.
GUEST

Every lady present at that store presented a level of professionalism and awesome service with a smile. I would most definitely recommend David's Bridal for your dress and any other needs. They are also great at recommending other suggestions and avenues if what you are looking for is currently unavailable. I had a great experience with David's Bridal.
GUEST

David's briday definitely has the best prices in grand rapids. Money is not all but when it comes to paying for a wedding you are not only looking for nice, elegant and a variety of dreses also prices. and david's bridal has that.

Horrible HORRIBLE customer service!!! I was reluctant to use this company in the first place given my bad experiences as a bridesmaid in the past but unfortunately they have dominated the area that I live and I didn't have many choices to find a dress. My dress was beautiful but they refused to do alterations that they said they would do prior to buying it. Once i bought it suddenly they said they couldn't because they have an "agreement with the designers." This was truly the not even the tip of the iceburg. Aside from all of their accessories being massively overpriced they couldn't even get my bridesmaids orders correct. After weeks of one of the dresses being in alterations they stained one of my bridesmaids dresses while pressing and tried to hide it. When she discovered it they talked her into swapping it out with a top they had in stock which was too small. They then convinced her to buy one of their massively overpriced corsets in order to fit in it.
My maid of honor was in between sizes of tops and they didn't have a certain size in the store to try on. When she asked for it they wouldn't transfer one into the store or even CALL another store to see if they had one she could go try on. Payless who averages about $10/customer will call 8 stores if they have to in order to find what you are looking for in stock. In fact, the will even give you a coupon for your troubles.
These are just a few of the run ins that I had with this company. They are HORRIBLE and I wish they would go out of business. You may spend more in a boutique or somewhere else but do yourself a favor and avoid David's Bridal. They will cost you more in the long run!!
GUEST

I got my dress and bride's maids gowns from David's bridal. Although my dress went smoothly, they were very rude to my attendants who went on their own to get their gowns. In addition, the gowns did not fit well at all despite the fact that my girls had been measured at their store. Alterations costed more than the dresses themselves!
GUEST

My dress was beautiful!! It was exactly what I was looking for and within my price range. The saleslady was helpful without being pushy.
GUEST

I love my dress but not my experience at David's Bridal. My dress was the first that I tried on there. I bought it and took it home that day. I felt a lot of pressure to get the accessories that day as well and there were a few that I did get that day. I felt that a lot of them were overpriced and they do not allow any returns. The people there called me atleast once a month trying to have my maid of honor (no other BM) get a dress there. All I wanted was the dress and they continued to call even when I told them that I was all set and didn't need anything else. It was frustrating and I wish they would have respected what I said.
GUEST

The people at Davids Bridal were very kind and seemed to enjoy what they do. I will recommend them to anyone getting married.
GUEST

We got invitations that were very elegant and affordable with lots of comments on the quality.
GUEST

Good at what they do. Flexible with the girls in my wedding party and able to get the dresses that we wanted very quickly.
GUEST

I found a dress almost immediately at David's. The only issue I had, was that David's never called me when things came in. Same thing for my bridal party... we always had to call THEM to see if things we had ordered were there. We were literally within weeks of the wedding, and finally when we called they said everything was there. Hmm how long had it been there, and why hadn't we gotten a call? My girls were waiting for their shoes so they could alter the height of their dress. It was just added stress that was unnecessary. My mother in law also had her shoes dyed the entirely wrong color, and had to go somewhere else and find shoes last minute.
GUEST

I had great experiences at David's Bridal. I went to the one in GR, and most of my girls went to other ones, but none of us had any problems.
Picking out my dress was a lot of fun, and the woman who helped us was great. Got me different dresses if I needed to, helped with picking out veils, etc. Very friendly. I was lucky, and didn't need any alterations, so I don't know about that aspect, but none of my bridesmaids had problems either.
GUEST

GR staff did a great job, although they are always booked on weekends, so be sure to make an apointment! The girls did a great job helping me choose a dress and it fit perfectly!
GUEST

David's Bridal is great because they have so many dresses at a wide range of costs. They always change it up a little every season and offer so many personalization options. They always have great sales too - so I got my dress at a great cost along with my undergarments, shoes and garter belts. You can defiantly tell that the sales team is trying to get your sale, for sure but other than that it's a great place that I highly recommend. They have great bridesmaids and prom dresses too! Mother of the Bride dresses not so much.

I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Lots of options for any size bride- including plus size. Can be a bit pricey.
GUEST

We went on a Saturday with my Bridesmaids to get them fitted for dresses, we had an appointment and everything, but our attendant was busy with other women and hardly helped with anything. I had to go and get the dresses, find the ones for each girl and see if it came in the right color. I think our attendant got paid for what I did. I will never recommend them to anyone. Go to a smaller chain store or one local, you can get the same things there and it may even be cheaper.
GUEST

I was extremely happy with my experience at david bridal! My dress was an Oleg Cassini and it was Orig. $1,100. And I got it on sale for $99 dollars! It was a beautiful dress, nobody would have guessed how much I got it for!
GUEST

They were very attentive and even when I went in for my friend's wedding a month later the lady who helped me recognized me and asked how my wedding was!

I did not enjoy my experience with them for the bridesmaids dresses. The only plus was that they have several locations so my out of town bridesmaids were able to find one near them to be measured and order. The salespeople were for the most part rude and unhelpful. One of the dresses came in and they never let us know.
GUEST

They did a fantastic job helping me find the perfect dress!! The sales woman worked was able to fit me in and spent more time than she was scheduled for, and assisted me through the entire process. And the dress was on sale for the exact amount I wanted to spend on a dress!
GUEST

The front desk woman who greeted us on arrival was horribly rude. However, once getting past the dragon at the gate the rest of our experience was quite nice. The girl helping me try on dresses had laryngitis and could hardly speak but was very nice and attentive. The quality of the dress was amazing and the price was great! My dress arrived weeks before the scheduled date. The bustle was beautiful but the woman who did the alterations was a little bit of a grouch. I couldn't have been more happy with my dress, and would highly recommend the company if you can put up with customer service that's a little lacking.

Fun Fun Fun!! Very nice people and take time with you!
GUEST

The service was pretty good, although a little bit pushy about purchasing accessories. I was disappointed that I had to get my dress altered, since the dress that I tried on fit me. I ordered the same dress in that size, but it was too tight to even zip up when it came in. They said it was probably due to the fact that the dresses for trying on stretch out a bit over time. Insist they measure you and use those measurements when you order your dress!
They do carry a huge selection of dresses, so if you're not sure what you want, David's is a good place to start.
GUEST

The first person I had there wasn't very pleasant to work with but after requesting someone else things went much smoother.
Unfortunately they ordered my dress in the wrong size and it didn't come in time for me to have one of their workers alter it so I had to call and ask a favor of a friend of the family. (By the way - she did an amazing job, and actually was able to still make it work! Thank you Deb!)
GUEST

Absolutely no customer help every time I walked in. It took forever to get answers to simple questions because associates were not informed. DO NOT GO HERE!
GUEST

My dress was absolutely gorgeous and it was one of DB's $99 specials!!! The sales associate who assisted us in trying on different styles and searching for the "perfect dress" was very kind, knowledgable, and friendly. She was a GREAT help!!
GUEST

I went EVERYWHERE in West Michigan looking for a dress. After visiting literally every boutique I ended up going back to David's Bridal. They had a larger selection and definitely more of what I was looking for. Their staff is helpful, but you might want to go in on a weekday as weekend can get crazy. Occasionally they have a sale and you can get a little discount. Just be sure to go in well in advance as it might take some time for the dress to come in.
We also went through them for our bridesmaid dresses. It ended up working out, but because our consultant quit/was fired there were some issues with losing some of the girls' sizes. But because we had girls on either side of Michigan and in Seattle, it worked well because they could order at a local store. The dresses looked fabulous.
It isn't as personal there as with a smaller boutique, but I got what I wanted at a reasonable price so I have no complaints!
GUEST

The people there were so great in helping me find my perfect dress! They didn't push me to buy anything, but were very helpful with their comments. It was a lot of fun dancing around in dresses!
GUEST

The most awful experience ever! One of my bridesmaids received her dress 1 week before the wedding because they continuously got the order wrong after not ordering the dress for 2 months after payment. I would pay extra to NOT use them!
GUEST

The dress was exactly what I wanted but decided to go elsewhere for the alterations. The price was perfect!
GUEST

They were absolutely horrible to work with, completely rude to my bridal party. In fact, one rep told my bridesmaid who was pregnant that her dress would "look awful on her once she started to show".

They have a great selection of dress and a good price, but the customer service is just a big ole problem. They are very unfriendly, no manners and I might as well have worked there because I had to basically do everything my self. If you want to save money then go to David’s, but if you big on customer service then find another place.
