Very friendly. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Made trying on dresses exactly how imagined!

I would NOT recommend David's Bridal to anyone! They were awful to work with! My bridesmaids and I made an appointment to check out bridesmaids dresses. We were so disappointed, it should have been a fun trip, but instead we were left just hanging. They don't have "one on one" appointments. You share the associate with a few others. So our associate was more into her bride than she was my bridesmaids. One bridesmaid's dress didn't fit her and the associate told her to try on someone else's dress (they weren't even close in size). The associate said well then you can go find your size yourself then! We ended up ordering our dresses online to avoid having to step foot into that store again! A bridesmaids dress came in very dirty, like someone had stepped on it with dirty, muddy shoes. David's Bridal agreed to clean and press it for us. We went to pick it up and the associate was extremely rude, never apologized, and acted like we inconvenienced her! We don't have many bridal shops in this area but I'd NEVER recommend David's Bridal to anyone. I'd say it's worth it to drive out of the area to check out other bridal shops.

While the wedding dress my daughter bought was a great deal and absolutely beautiful, the quality of service is so poor that I would almost have paid more to get better service. My daughters dress size had to be order, assured they would obtain the correct size, only to have it some in too small. Then told we would be charged anywhere from $200-$400 for alterations. With Davids Bridal "all sales are final" policy, you are then stuck either choosing another dress from them or paying the ridiculous alteration fee. Victoria, the manager, was very difficult to deal with, always trying to out-talk you as she miserably tries and fails to explain why your dress is wrong. The dress arrived with a stain on it and they wanted to charge us for that as well. It takes an unbelievably long time to receive your dress also. I would offer a word to the wise, if your dress is not right off the rack, be very careful of ordering your dress, they will not refund your money.

I love my dress and got it for a good price.

Although my dress was beautiful, the prices could be better. They want you to spend alot on the dress then turn around and spend just as much on alterations. I skipped alterations. Just too expensive.

I ordered my dress online from Davids Bridal outlet store. The size was a perfect fit and true to the size. When I was ready to add jewelry I went to the Mishawaka store and they helped me to decide what jewelry would look best with my dress.

The zipper broke off the back of my dress midway through the night and the stitching came undone at the zipper- the dress wasn't too tight- just bad stitching. The service was so rude at the Chicago location on 95th that I drove to Mishawaka to buy my dress. They were nice at this location, but the Chicago one made me stand around forever and opted to help out a rich debutante instead of me...
They were difficult to work with for bridesmaids dresses..the dresses were beautiful, but they kept calling me to tell me when they were ready at various locations over the US where my bridesmaids lived....and they would call and tell me that no one had bought theirs yet....because their computer systems were not connected. If I hadn't been on top of it, a call like that would really freak you out....
You can't beat the price for their wedding dresses so while I do complain, I only spent about 3% of my budget on my dress...

I had a great experience at Davids, the attendent who helped me was amazing, the manager of the store also helped with my dress and we found the perfect one for me in just three hours. They also helped me order and organize a ton of other things including five bridesmaids and i was three states away. Awesome

David's Bridal was my first stop in obtaining a bridesmaid's dress. They had many different styles to choose from and we were able to find a dress in one afternoon. However, the dress we originally wanted was said to arrive a couple of weeks before the wedding but when it was entered into the computer it came back as stating it wouldn't arrive at all. We had to start all over in search of a new dress.
The staff were very helpful and curteous. They allowed us to try on as many items as we wanted....even items we did not intend to purchase. It was a fun day.

Overall, David's Bridal was nice. There was however, one representative that I worked with that was incredibly rude. I brought my bridal party to the store to try on dresses. She did not want to help us and at one point even said (sigh) well I guess so. She did not want to bring me my dress so I could show my brides maids and overall was not helpfull. Other individuals there were great, but this one was horrible.

Well it's a big scale dress place, so you have trouble making appointments just to try on the dress, get it altered, and it took way longer than I thought to get it into the store! There are a lot of other costs too besides the dress--slips, bras, shoes, etc that they push on you. The people do alterations often don't speak English well so it can be hard to communicate!

I made an appointment and I barely got waited on because I kind of already knew what I wanted and they over booked all the sales people in the store! She then wrote down all the wrong dress styles that I liked so it was a mess when I came back in to order my dress! They messed up every one of my bridesmaids dresses! It was a disaster, and it was just at this store they were all over!!

After purchasing my dress from David's Bridal, I went back for my alterations. The head of the alterations department then told me that with my height, the dress might not look the best after being taken up. This was said even after the same lady came out when I was trying the dress on and reassured me that it would be fine for me and that it was a dress that could be altered to fit me. I was very upset.

As you can see I had a horrible experience at Davids Bridal. I would NEVER recommend them and would pay more to go elsewhere. I had to have an outside source fix my gown weeks before my wedding. I loved my Oleg Cassini dress but they ruined it on multiple times along with over charging for items then it took them over 5 months to try and resolve it but said it was due to their computers. So, corporate gave a little refund but again it was over 5 months. I am not the only person to have problems with them. Every person in my bridal party and one of my friends who got married had issues along with all of us in her wedding. I've heard other stores are sooo much better. But to be honest...the Mishawaka store is HORRIBLE. I was told by one of the women (seamstresses) while wearing my size 2 dress and after they "accidently" took it in 3 inches and couldn't let it out that I have no need to eat or sit during the wedding. THEY SUCK!!!!

This David's Bridal was terrible, when i went there to try on dresses is August 07, the lady who was supposed to help me was 20 minutes late, smelled like alcohol, and hardly brought me dresses, she also explained to me not to walk around the store in the dresses, but when i had no other dresses to try on, i had to go get them myself. This lady was terrible, and i will never ever tell anyone to go there.

The staff at this store were very helpful in finding various dresses for the wedding. Great selection for a great price. The only thing was that the dress couldn't be returned if needed...

I had heard negative things about the David's Bridal chain from various friends, but did not believe them because I thought that they might have been being too demanding or too "bridezilla-ish".
I wished that I would have listened to them.
I found a dress that I loved and Deanna (a sales assistant) helped me into the dress and made me feel like a princess! I ordered the dress which fit slightly loose and waited for my dress to come into stock.
I picked up my dress 2 weeks later and took it home waiting to get alterations done to the dress - still very excited and pleased with my experience, thinking my friends had to be wrong.
I went in for my fitting 6 weeks before I needed the dress. The woman doing the alterations was rude - they did not have anything for me to stand up for her to be able to get a good measurement of how the dress should fall (because of liability) and did the alterations laying on the ground. The dress that I had was luckily being altered simply to floor length.
The body of the dress fit slightly tighter (I had a size 6 and I had been working out at the gym trying to get my upper body in shape). One seamstress (the one doing my alterations) told me no problem it could be taken out - another woman advised me that I should order a dress TWO SIZES bigger (a size 10!!) incase I grew more and that it would be delivered to the store by October 27th to do alterations to it - I neeeded it BY November 4th and the dress I had FIT, but squeezed slightly. I declined doing that and frustrated the women trying to talk me into getting a dress MUCH to large for me!
The dress I wore had bussels around it, busselled with clear, generic beading. David's Bridal does not supply additional beading, so I went out later that day to find similar beads so that the seamstress could bussell the dress in alterting it and add the beads - which she advised me to do - I brougth them back to the store where a different woman told me it was not necessary, they would not add that and I was CRAZY for thinking that it would make a bit of difference. I explained to her that the woman doing my alterations ADVISED me to do this and I would appreciate it if they took the beads and put them with my dress.
I went back late October to pick up my dress. I made an appointment to pick up it up, as they require, and arrived early. I was simply HANDED MY DRESS ... I looked at the woman and asked which room I could go in to try it on and she said oh, we don't have any rooms for you, you've already been fitted and the dress is altered - if IT DOESN'T WORK WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WHAT!?
I found a room and tried it on - luckily it worked fine but by this point I was so upset and mad I didn't care. I left frustrated and have a horrible taste in my mouth about it. The only thing that I cannot complain about is I got a beautiful dress for $399, alterations were $200 ... so for just over $600 I got an awesome wedding dress., just horrible memories.
I have two friends getting married next summer and I have suggested to BOTH of them that they do NOT go to Davids Bridal in South Bend, Indiana.

I loved David's Bridal, I was looking for an affordable wedding dress, and one that was nice looking , because I was 5 months pregnant. Our saleswoman was so helpful, she did everything that she could, and I ended up with an amazing dress.
GUEST

The woman who helped me find a dress would not listen to what I liked, she just kept bringing me dresses that she liked. Then, she almost made fun of me in a way for wanting to have a more modest looking dress with sleeves.
GUEST

My dress was fab! I'm glad I got it when I did because it went discontinued after I bought it. Thanks again for everything to make my dress great for my day!
GUEST

Decent prices for wedding dresses - expensive for fittings and alterations, but they do a good job - convenient for bridal party since they have multiple locations and you can just tell your bridesmaids the style, and they get a discount through you.

If David's wasn't the only place to find dresses around me, I would NOT have put up with them. They didn't listen to what I wanted at all. My matron of honor's dress' zipper broke on two different dresses! Ridiculous! DON'T GO HERE!

I bought a beautiful dress from David's Bridal, but lost a lot of weight before my wedding. I was told that I could switch dresses for a smaller size, but when I went in for alterations they refused to switch out dresses for me and charged me $200 to get it taken in. Ordering the bridesmaid dresses was a mess also! They have poor communication and workers who don't know what they are doing.
GUEST

I absolutely love the dress I got from David's Bridal, and it was a great price. However, the employees at this David's Bridal were absolutely AWFUL. They were not helpful at all, lost all my bridesmaids' info, they were rude, and none of them seemed to ever know what was going on. I dreaded every time I had to go into the store for alterations or to help my bridesmaids with their dresses.
When shopping for your bridal gown, avoid the Mishawaka David's Bridal at all costs!! I had such a miserable experience with them, and if I had to do it over again, I would've gone somewhere else. I guess I got what I paid for.

Unfortunately the most professional/helpful woman there, has moved on and is there no longer. Therefore, I am sure that this particular store's customer service will go downhill. I was disappointed with the alterations department because the woman actually ripped my dress in several areas and left holes in the area she worked in. Also, the bustle was un-even and looked horrible. She didn't own up to her mistakes, and that's what really made it a bad experience. However, they finally replaced my dress and I actually did get it altered again (just the hem), and it turned out fine. On a lighter note, they have a huge selection and the prices aren't bad; there are a lot of sales that go on (or so it seems). In the end after it was said and done, I was very happy.

Found my dress the first time here. They are always helpful, but also always busy, so not much personal attention. Average prices on dresses. Alterations dept. was only used for my bustle, which ripped out of the netting half way through the reception.

I was able to get an appointment for dress fittings the day that I called. They let me try on about every dress in the store and made good suggestions on dresses I would have never thought to try on.

We purchased my Mother in Law's gown through this store, and it was a good experience. Some of the staff were a little unprofessional (dressing, talking, etc) however the items themselves were good and the prices were reasonable. Alterations were not provided at this store so we had to find another seamstress, which was a little stressful. All-in-all, I would recommend if you need something quickly as they have a lot in stock in various sizes and colors.

I had a wonderful experience picking out a dress and purchasing it from them. I wouldn't recommend getting your dress altered there. I chose not to and was so glad when I heard some other girls stories of how hard it was. I ended up going to a local lady who does alterations and she knew me by name, came to help on the day of the wedding etc and it made a huge difference!

I got my dress from them also most of my beauty add-on accessories and so forth. Also the men got their tux's from the joint store they owned. I loved it this place treated me very well!

My consultant was wonderful. After I pointed out a few designs that I liked, she took it from there and brought me dresses that she thought I would like and in the right size. She was perfect!
