Davids Bridal

This was the first gown I tried on during my first visit to the store and immediately knew it was the wedding gown of my dreams. I tried on five other ones and then put this one on again.

Wife's comment: The girls, specially Elizabeth, gave me a mother-daughter treatment! She made me feel special since the first visit.

I live in the Virgin Islands but flew to Puerto Rico, just to go to David's Bridal. When I entered no one notice me because they were busy helping a group of teenagers who seems to be preparing for some type of formal even. When someone came, she was very friendly but seems like she just wanted a sale instead of finding the best type of dress for my body type (14). Money was not an option but the dresses she keep saying looked the best was the most expensive, long dresses.. I was getting married on the beach. With David's Bridal you cant go wrong with the prices but there was not a variety of dresses in my size and I had to settle. If I could do it again, I would have flew to the mainland, closest Miami to get my dress. They were able to prepare my dress for me the same day since I was flying back to the Virgin Islands.

Love, love, love my dress! I went in different days and the service varied from person to person, but overall was happy with the experience.

The place was hard to find, and the girls working in the store were not able to provide sufficient directions. Once I arrived to the store, the women spoke about me in Spanish, thinking I did not understand, which I did not appreciate. They were rude, and not helpful. I had one attendant who was working with me decide she was not going to work with me and transferred me to a new attendant because I was refusing to buy a veil for $155. I love the dresses they offer, but the service at this exact location is horrible. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Ever!

This review is for my bridesmaids, maid of honor and mother dresses. My wedding party lives in PR so I travel and went with them to select the dresses, after the selection I was told that the dresses wouldn't arrived on time for the wedding. It was 2/6/08, and the wedding date was 5/3/08. Apparently, they have a 14 weeks delivery period. We had to change the dresses styles and the color of the maid of honor for those that could be delivered within 9-10 weeks. I honestly don't understand why was this since I ordered my dress, and specifically one of my bridesmaid dresses at another location (Woodbridge, VA) after Feb 10th and both arrived within the week. I had to call several times to verify the dresses status as the wedding day got closer, each time I called I was told a dress had arrived but I was never contacted and the dresses were on location for several days. Also, one needs to give them 6 weeks for alterations or they required an expedite fee (all my bridesmaids ended going for alterations outside the shop, at lower costs and return time). My mother's dress was the wrong size and we received it 2 weeks before the wedding, they asked if we wanted to reorder the correct size (????-14 more weeks?). I ended asking for a voucher (which they gave us) and finding the perfect dress at the David's Bridal in Woodbridge, VA.

Great quality of service. Highly recommend it.

In terms of variety and cost, no one beats David's Bridal: you're almost certain to find a dress that will make you happy. However, they try to sell you everything they can --even things you don't need (like, in my case, a slip even though my dress already had a slip attached to it)-- and their return policy is awful since they do not return your money, only give store credits. The tailors are excellent, though.
