Reviews for David's Bridal

My dress was perfect because it was exactly what I was looking for in a price range I was comfortable with due to this being my second wedding. The dress was good quality and looked beautiful. I received many compliments. The only complaint I had was the fitting was not to perfection. The dress was sleeveless (not strapless) and they could not get the straps fitted well enough that I wasn't still having to put them back in place throughout the evening. All in all I was happy with the dress.

David's Bridal is great for inexpensive dresses and provides solid alternation services. They also have a ton of inexpensive options for bridesmaids and mothers dresses. I wasn't wild about the options for flower girls, so I found better and less expensive ones online. Their accessories and extras are expensive. Go online to find the same stuff for much, much less. I recommend going to David's during the week and avoid it on the weekends. We went on a Saturday morning. The place was packed and we felt rushed. Our saleswoman did help and found me a great dress, but she was also trying to conduct business with other clients at the same time. During the week it a lot less hectic and you will receive more personal attention. The difficulty I had with David's was with ordering for the bridesmaids and mother's dress. They failed to contact us when one dress came in and it had to be reordered. Also, sometimes when a dress comes in, they don't contact the bridesmaid directly; they instead will contact the bride and want you play "middle man" and contact your bridemaid. They are inconsistent with communication; sometimes it's an email message, sometimes a phone call. These inconsistencies and reordering were frustrating. I also suggest that you try on your dress before leaving the store and double check the tags. My wedding dress had a large grease stain on the chiffon and had to be reordered. Had I not found it and left the store, they may not have taken it back, and you can't get a grease stain out of chiffon. In addition, my mother's dress had two different tags on it: the price tag said size 10, the dress tag said size 12. It, too, had to be reordered. If you want inexpensive dress options, go to David's. If you have high expectations for service, you probably would be better off going to a smaller boutique for more personal attention.

The dress was reasonably priced, other accessories such as the bra, slip and veil were overpriced.

The ladies here are very sweet and nice, almost a little to professional for my taste. I mean.. it's Davids Bridal not some Hollywood Boutique. My dress was gorgeous and I got it half off a few years back when they had a huge sale. Of course everyone knows you can rely on David's Bridal to find your wedding gown. I did however think outside of the box a little and was able to find all of my bridesmaids dresses at Macy's online, I used cocktail dresses that a few of them are actually wearing for New Years Eve, so yay double use!

wonder service, dresses were delivered for my girls quickly and were beautiful! and Men's wearhouse was amazing as well for the guys!!!

I found my perfect dress at Davids Bridal. My consultant was wonderful and I loved the dress selection for my budget! I did however have problems with alterations. It cost an arm and a leg for simple alterations and I had problems with the hem being crooked and puckered and I needed to have my dress let out but the girls fought with me about it until I finally told her it was my dress and it needed to be let out. Overall a good experience.

Found my dream dress here the sales staff is great! Carolyn and the other girls at the Sawmill location are so fun and awesome. The alterations department... Not so much. There was a minor issue with the hem of my dress and one of my bridesmaids' dresses was pretty butchered. Buy your dress here and have someone else alter it.

I found the perfect dress at David's Bridal in Columbus. Upon arriving, we were taken care of very well. I came in with a few pictures of dresses printed out that I wanted to try on, and the girl assisting me went to work on finding them all while we looked at dresses on the rack. While she didn't seem very sure of herself in terms of helping us pick things out, she was very very nice and when she didn't have the answer to our question (like about alterations and such) she found the right person who could help us out. I was worried they would be a little pushy when it came to buying the whole ensemble (jewelry, shoes, etc) there but they were not pushy at all. Once I found my dress, we ended up having two people assisting us in deciding on veils (which was nice), and between the two of them they found perfect selections for us. Overall it was a very great experience.

I was treated at all times with respect, I was catered to when needed and was called by name when entering the store. I had a one of a kind experience with these people and anything that went wrong was instantly fixed immediately. The prices were right and I highly recommend this business!

I just don't think you can find as many options for the price than at David's. David's has so many beautiful dresses at reasonable prices. All other stores I checked out were much more expensive. The only other less expensive option is taking a chance with online stores. There are beautiful dresses for cheap online, but it's hard to know what you look like in the dress; could really pay off, but risky. Morgan was my consultant and she was friendly and helpful. Alterations were professional and nice. Each time I stopped in, all the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only bad thing I would say is that I felt rushed to decide. I was told that it could take up to 18 weeks to get my dress, so if I wanted it I needed to decide in a few days or risk not getting my dress in time. So I ordered it and it came in 3 weeks! I worried for the next 3 months if I had made a hasty decision. I tried not to continue looking at other dresses because you cannot return a dress to David's. But it was difficult wondering if I had made the right decision because it was so quick. It kind of felt like I fell for their trick to get you to buy from them. I suggest to start shopping a year in advance so you know what you want when it's time to buy.

Oleg Cassini dress is beautiful! Bustle did not hold(kept falling off buttons), Bra was sewn into dress but I had to keep pulling dress up to keep bra from showing

A week before the wedding I went to David's because I decided I didn't like the dress I had already bought. I had a fantastic rep named Karolyn- we had sooo much in common- but I think she was spread a little too thinly; she had three customers at once! Don't get me wrong she was amazing, she found three dresses in my size. I'm a size 20 in dresses... and the only other issue I thought very frustrating was the fact that the store only had maybe 5-6 dresses in my size- none of which were originally in my price point. Karolyn's associate then found out the one we liked 2nd best was indeed in my price point- 99.99. We agreed to buy it. When we got to the register, the price was mysteriously 199.99. (Still about 75% off) which was twice my budget. They then discounted it to $149.99 for me for the confusion. All in all a good experience, just could have been less frustrating.

I had the BEST expierence with the David's Bridal of Columbus! They really showed they cared and wanted to make sure I found my perfect dress, which I did! The representative actually brought out a dress I didn't think I would like... but ended up loving and buying!!! I would recomend this location to anyone!

When I brought my dress, I had an awesome consultant. Sydney made sure that you were getting exactly the personalized attention that you need. I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. When we went back for BM dresses, Sydney had been let go because of sales and apparently the customer service skills left with her. My BM's had all decided to wait until the last minute to get thier dresses, well noone called to inform me that the dress I had chosen for my BM's was in slower production so there was a possiblity that we could not get the dress (this was 2 months before my wedding) We find out by a fluke and they gave me some recent high school graduate whose only response to my freaking out about my dresses possibly not being available was to shrug her shoulders. My MOH had to ask if they had the gown in the size and color anywhere in the state. Eventually we got a manager to call corporate to get the dresses in, it was awful! Luckily we got the dresses in time and they were beautiful, but I was pretty pissed that no one seemed to know what to do until my MOH asked for a manager!
GUEST

I was very happy with my experience at David's Bridal. I did not feel pressure to buy that day and I was free to try on as many gowns as I wanted. I was impressed with the price of the dress and although I bought off the rack, my dress was in excellent condition. I knew what kind of service to expect when I visited David's and was not looking for a very personalized shopping experience and help in the dressing room. It was perfect for this low-maintenance bride and I would recommend it for others!
GUEST

I loved my dress and had a good experience when buying. The only problem was when we were looking for bridesmaids dress it seems that wasn't taken seriously.
GUEST

A great place to go...I tried on so many different dresses and they were very patient with me...I wanted a dress from the website but it was best to find a dress there at the store...all dresses fit diffently...I saved a lot of money buying the dress from the store in alterations than I would have buying it online.

The Consultant I had that helped me with my dress was wonderful on the first visit she was very polite and I actually was able to find my Dress on the First Visit and it was on sale. I was excitied to go back with the Bridesmaids to try on dresses. We had the same consultant as the first visit but she was very rude and offensive with my sister. She continued to try and put her in a size bigger when the size she tried on fit 100% ok. Then came over to me while I was looking at dresses and was asking questions about if my sister was at high risk with her pregnancy because she is a bigger lady. When I told her No she actually said that she was amazed that someone her size wouldn't be at high risk. After picking out the dresses we were told that if we weren't ordering and paying for the dress that day that latest we could return was 3 weeks before the wedding to pay for the dresses. Which was wrong and I was in a state of panic because my Bridesmaid that was out of state that ordered hers earlier went and they said it would take almost 2 months for her dress to come in. When I called to set up another appointment for us to go back and try on the dresses again both bridesmaid lost weight I requested it not be the same consultant to help us. Once we got there it was the same consultant that was helping us, which I already felt uncomfortable with. Then she was so busy helping a bride that she didn't even care to help us at all. My mom was actually in their stock room trying to find a Bra that fit me because she was too busy helping the other bride. The Service was Horrible in general except for my first visit. It's like once they pleased the bride and she bought her dress then nothing else mattered.
GUEST

I bought my dress and all my bridesmaid dresses from Davids Bridal. The dresses are beautiful and really affordable. The color selection is really big also. They have great deals if you get your tuxes from Men's Warehouse and the colors match perfect!
GUEST

I literally bought EVERYTHING from David's My dress, bridesmaids, flower girl, everyones shoes, my mom's dress, purses...I spent more time and money there than I would like to admit for my wedding. However, they had it all. My salesperson was GREAT!However, the others that work there are apparently a dime a dozen and worked too much or something. It was continually hard to have a decent experience there again and I found myself dragging myself in there when I had to return after my one wonderful experience. However, I will say this, they did have EVERYTHING I needed and they were more than willing to work with me.

Overall I would still reccomend this place. I went to the location on Sawmill and my helper was named Casey. She was very nice and very helpful. after trying on a few dresses she started to get an understanding of what i liked and started to bring dresses that were more my style. The dress I got had to be made as they didnt carry m size so i had them make it with out the train. The dress came out beautiful and came weeks early. The value was great, all the other dresses i looked at and liked were typically double the price. I got MANY compliments on the dress.

Great help with alteration and doing the bustle had the exact dress i wanted

This review is for the Sawmill location of Davids Bridal in Columbus, OH and more specifically Caroline at the Sawmill Location. I will be honest, I didn't want to shop at Davids, I wanted a boutique and thought it would be too commercial, I was so wrong! We came to Davids without an appointment after a terrible time at Wendy's Bridal on Sawmill, Davids was able to get us in and we were assigned to work with Caroline. Caroline was AWESOME!!! I had such an amazing experience! I picked out a few dresses with my family and friends that were there with me and then Caroline picked out a few, she knows what she is doing and what looks good on who!! I ended up buying a dress that day that I would have never picked off of the rack, I was open to trying on whatever she brought me! After trying on a ton of dresses all over the state of Ohio, Caroline found my dress for me in just a few short hours! I love my dress and the entire shopping experience they provided for us. We ended up going there for our bridesmaids dresses too and that experience was also amazing!! I would recommend Davids Bridal and Caroline to anyone and everyone!!!

I spent no more than an hour total picking out my dress. I went into Davids with pictures of about 20 dresses printed off of their web page. They pulled all of them and let me try them all on. The staff helped me narrow my selections down and added a few that I had not though of. The dress was a great price. The altering was a little expensive in my opinion, but was great quality. The brides maids dresses were affordable and super cute. One thing I did notice is that when the brides maids dresses come out they are priced cheap, but closer to the date they jacked up the price. My advice is to have your girls purchase them as soon as you pick them out since the price is more likely to go up, not down. Overall, very satisfied with Davids.

This is a very common place for brides to find their dress. They have a wide selection and GREAT prices.. My dress was perfect and had the best price. The first experience wasn't the greatest but when I went back and requested a new representative she was great!
GUEST

I kept shopping around but kept coming back to this one dress. I think I would have bought it earlier except for some reasont the one I liked wasn't viewable online. I loved my dress though. Not to mention, they sent me an email for a free photobook from shutterfly.com
GUEST

They made the dress picking very effortless. I was so pleased with the dress I picked, the alteration prices are kind of high but you get what you pay for right?? :) Thanks to the women who made my wedding dress shopping easierMrs. Moore -Weed

I got my wedding shoes from David's which were great! They were comfortable and cute! Two very important elements!
GUEST

I found my wedding dress at Davids Bridal and I loved it. However going into the dress experience I told the bridal consultant my price range and she completely ignored what I had to say. She brought me dresses that were way out of what I was willing to spend, and then was very rude to me when she finally understood that I did not want to spend alot of money. The front bridal staff at both the Sawmill store in Columbus and the Easton store in Columbus are rude and not customer oriented. I would not recommend any brides working with this company. However the alterations staff were very nice and easy to work with.
GUEST

We purchased my dress, my sister's MOH dress, my mother's dress and the flower girl dresses from David's Bridal and couldn't have been happier. The staff was very helpful and the dresses were beautiful. From experiences with other friends, David's can be hit-or-miss depending on the day, but I didn't have any issues.
GUEST

Overall, I was very please with my experience at David's. Outside of some rudeness from a staff member, the women who worked with me were helpful, attentive and did a great job of finding options that I really liked. I found a fabulous dress there that had just arrived the day before, and I was so happy that my consultant had me try it out, because it's not something I would even consider on my own. As soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one, and to make things even better, it was on sale! I was able to walk out with the dress, and only had some minor alterations following that. My only other complaint in regards to cost is about the high cost for alterations. The dress itself was a great value, and so was my veil. But the alterations were very minimal, and the price was nearly half the cost of my entire purchase. I would recommend David's to future brides; they are really expanding with some of their nicer lines, and they have so many great options at great prices.
GUEST

David's bridal is very expensive but they do have nice gowns and a few good deals.

the women there found my dress for me i couldnt believe the price it was amazing they made sure my alteraqtion were finished on time and that i was happy with it i loved it

I must say that my first few contacts with David's Bridal was less than stellar. However, I attempted to make a go of it one last time and struck gold...the assistant manager was very helpful and I did inform her of the unprofessional attitude I had encountered on my previous visits (no employee names mentioned...that was irrelevant)...it was smooth sailing for the most part after that!

While planning my wedding at the same time as my daughter's wedding, I chose Davids Bridal for my dress! Although at my initial appointment, I was VERY disappointed and although there were "bumps" along the way, the majority of the staff were very helpful and accommodating even as far as the alterations were concerned! And...by the way...the cost of alterations were VERY reasonable as I purchased my daughter's dress from a different Columbus vendor and found the cost of alterations extremely expensive!! All in all, working with Kim, asst manager, was great!

I don't remember how much i spent on my dress due to the cercumstances but i remember it being very reasonable. everyone was very helpful, they set me up for a taylor to take it in if i needed. i was called right when my dress came in and the fitting was very smooth. it didn't take me very long to pick a dress and they let me know about all the accessories i needed to help my figure look better for under the gown even though im not that big. it takes away the little imperfections. its these small things that count and i really appreciate it.
I have also ordered my invitations from them, completely personalized and beautiful. They were the cheapest I could find anywhere. I highly recommend them for invitations.
GUEST

They were very understanding and tried to help in every way possible.
GUEST

I had an overal good experience with David's. I purchased an Oleg Cassini gown and loved it. I also feel that it was a great price for the dress. We did however, have have an issue with one of our bridesmaid dresses on the day of the wedding, the zipper was broken and we had to sew my maid of honor into her dress.
GUEST

I will never be happier than tpo never have to set foot in this store again. I chose David's Bridal because my wedding party lives across the United States, and it's a national chain. They were the most rude people, and completely unhelpful. They overcharge you on your alterations for your wedding dress (I think they should be free) and act like you are the biggest inconvenience for them when your not buying something. I despise this store, and will never return or recommend it to anyone
GUEST

The staff was pretty helpful...I went in on a very crowded Saturday so I didn't get all the help that I would have liked, but dealing with that circumstance they responded pretty well. My consultant picked out the perfect dress for me and I couldn't have been happier with it!
GUEST

David's Bridal was just what I would have expected for a corporate chain store. I got the kind of service and quality I would have anticipated. My bridesmaid dresses were beautiful, however one of them came with the strap attached incorrectly (I fixed it for her rather than deal with alterations). Everything arrived in a timely manner and in good quality. The range of selection was varied and good. The dresses and shoes were all in the appropriate dye and matched beautifully. Availability and selection on flower girl dresses was less than I would have liked; I bought my flower girl dress from Nordstrom for a much more reasonable price. Overall I would recommend. Service was good, in an average sort of way. My girls (3 of them) spent about $220 which included dress, shoes, and the extra sash I wanted. The dresses were flowy organza, not satin, so that is probably why the price was decent. My MOH spent a few hundred in alterations. The total we gave them was well over $1000 for everyone.
GUEST

good products, nice selection, great value. my bridesmaid's picked their own dresses, but got the same shade of "apple red" from david's. they were gorgeous and all the bridesmaids said they will definitely wear them again!
GUEST

David's is David's, you get what you see, that's pretty much how it goes. I wasn't planning on going with a big chain, except that they had the dress I want. Luckily it was on sale.
GUEST

It was a beautiful gown. i was both pleased with not only the dres, but the price and the way i was treated at this place of business. Very good Vendor
GUEST

Good price, had an issue with the dress alterations but they fixed them quickly.

It was nice, but the woman who helped me didn't make it into a very personal experience like I would have liked. If I could do it again, I'd go to a smaller shop. But my dress was amazing!

Everyone at David's Bridal was extremely friendly and flexible, especially since I needed multiple appointments over a few months in order to get my dress, my bridesmaid dresses, and my flower girl dresses picked out and ordered! Even though it was chaotic with my order, since I was not able to do everything at once the way I had planned due to bridal party scheduling problems, the staff was very helpful when I was there to help me have my choices picked out, so that the bridal party was able to come in when it was easiest for them to any location to get measured, and order their dresses! They really went above and beyond at this location for me, even calling around to the Sawmill location (where I had a less than desirable experience with a previous wedding) to track down the tiara I wanted to wear with my veil that had been discontinued, but thanks to them, I was able to obtain! They were an absolute blessing to me, when everything started to go haywire with my wedding planning!
GUEST

The people at David's Bridal were very nice and extremely helpful. I explained that I was on a flexible budget, so they chose dresses for me to try on that were in my price range, but still fit the other requirements for my dream dress. I would recommend this vendor to anyone who is looking for a beautiful wedding dress at a reasonable price.

I purchased a Monique Luo dress for my wedding and it was amazing! I received tons of compliments on how beautiful it was. I have seen similiar dresses in wedding magazines at double the cost! I was very fortunate to find this dress in my price range and to be able to have it altered in a timely manner. David's Bridal is definitely the place to go!!

Everyone here was always wonderful when I was there. But I never truly felt like I was my "shopper's" main focus. I know they're always busy with more then one girl, but maybe the company needs to rethink how they do things. Their prices were awesome. My dress was $700 and my bridesmaid's dresses were only $79.

David's Bridal is a great place for variety and choices. Unfortunetly I had a very rude sales person and that ruined my experience.
GUEST

I bought my dress the week before my wedding and found it at David's Bridal. The first saleswoman I encountered was a little negative and did not want to work in the least bit. She spent 5 minutes telling me that it was impossible to get a wedding dress in such a short period of time, that I was welcome to look at their catalog but I could not come inside the store. A second saleswoman overheard us chatting and simply said "You're looking for a wedding dress? Of course we can find you one, right now! Come in!" Indeed my mom and I purchased the 3rd wedding dress I tried on and bought it right then and there! They had a lot of variety and a lot of dresses in my size. The saleswoman got me my amazing veil too and showed me all the corresponding pieces of jewelry, etc. even though the store was about to close for the night. She didn't hurry my mom or I at all and she ended up getting a great sale out of it!

This Davids bridal was very helpful I must of tried on 30 dresses until I found the perfect one.

Let me start by saying I hate chain stores... especially when you are knowingly buying somthing at one store to have something else done/added at another store.David's Bridal in Monroeville, Pennsylvania where I purchased my gown was amazing. The lady there spend hours - literally hours - with me trying on gowns. I purchased my gown there.....Then I went to the David's Bridal on Sawmill Road in Columbus, Ohio to have my dress altered. It was the most horrible experience of the whole getting married process. The day I went in for my fitting (8 weeks before I needed the gown done) was horrible. The staff was rude and even though I made an appointment, I had to wait to see a seamstress. The store was extremely hot and stuffy. There was no where for me to sit while waiting for my appointment. The seamstress finally got free and started my appointment and only put me down with every pin she added to my gown. I didn't even make it out of the parking lot before I was in tears. I'd never been so insulted. When I went for my final fitting, I just tried the dress on and took it.... I should have looked closer. The "steaming" they did left really funky lines in my gown. Some of the sequins were torn off and one of the buttons for the bustle didn't match the other two. The pricing was really, really expensive for all that I had done. Almost $200 on a gown that only cost $500 to begin with. I was/am very disappointed. My suggestion - buy your gown there if you must, but get it altered somewhere else.
GUEST

What can I say? It's David's Bridal. It's not great, but it gets the job done. Be prepared to spend more on alterations than the dress itself cost. Also, don't just buy the first veil, tiara and jewelry they plop on you - I know it's an emotional moment seeing yourself in the wedding finery for the first time, but you can save hundreds if you browse through their accessories - they'll give you the most expensive ones first. Also, you will probably have to get a dress several sizes bigger than what you usually wear, particularly if you are busty, because the models they use are flat chested. I wear a size 6 pants, and had to get a 12. Oh, and don't use this place for bridesmaid dresses if you are in a hurry - they take months to arrive, and if they happen to make a mistake, you are screwed, because they don't have time to order it in again. For example, my cousin is getting married in late August. We went for our dress fitting in early may (it was supposed to be april, but there was a blizzard that day.) The dresses didn't arrive until early July, and one of the dresses arrived in the wrong color (periwinkle blue instead of peridot green.) Apparently, they make all bridesmaid dresses from scratch when you order them, so they could not reorder in the correct dress in the correct color and have it arrive in time. Luckily, they found a dress of an appropriate color that they had in stock, so they used that, and it worked out, since she was having all the bridesmaids wear different styles anyway.

My dress was great. They even called all over the country to get the rest of my bridemaids' dresses that were just going out of season. The alteration prices were a little high, so a friend of my mother did my alterations.

I had a horrible experience at the David's Bridal on Morse Rd in Columbus. I had found the dress I loved online, and so call the store for an appointment to try it on. All started well, they found a dress one size up (they didn't have my size in stock), and got the dress on me. That's when everything went downhill. They got the dress on me, stood me in front of the mirror (I was trapped, I couldn't get out of it without help), and then for the next TWO HOURS tried to sell me accessories I didn't want. Finally, they offer to get me a pre-approved quote for if I wanted to open a credit card (I didn't, however they said after they gave me the quote, they would help me out of the dress and I could go home). The pre-approved quote? No, they OPENED a credit card in my name! Not good. When I protested, they said, "Oh well, it's open now, you may as well use it." Seriously???When I came to pick up my dress, I had again called ahead to see if I could try it on before I took it home, and was told absolutely. So I drive out to the store again, where in store I'm told that they can't let me try on the dress because it's Sunday and they're too busy to have a spot for me. After some discussion, they put me in the very back stall.... and leave me. Thankfully I had brought a friend, and we together finally get the dress together and put on. Never once did a store associate offer to help or even check to see if we were still alive. Over all, there was the impression that once I had given them my money, they no longer cared about me, unless they could get me to buy more. If I hadn't absolutely loved the dress, I wouldn't have given them a dime. I would not recommend this store to anyone.
GUEST

Great quality for the price. Great staff. Not very flexible on ordering and holding. Lost paperwork twice! Loved my dress!

I felt pressured to buy from the moment I walked in the store. THe sales girls weren't all that nice and tried to bring me dresses more than double my budget and not in the correct size. I wouldn't recommend them unless you find the perfect dress online.
GUEST

I ordered my wedding invitations from David's Bridal's on-line store, because they matched the bridesmaids dresses. I bought ivory inviations with clover ribbons. I created the invitations on-line, to say exactly what I wanted them to say. I payed extra money to have a double heart at the top of each invitation, but when I recieved the invitations (after waiting 6 weeks), the double heart was missing on every single invitation. Then, I had to wait another 3 weeks to recieve the re-prints. Needless to say, my invitations went out late, but I was happy with the final presentation of them.

I never expected to find a gown at Davids. This was my 2nd wedding, and I am not the ballgown/princess type bride. I wanted something simple, soft, and sophisticated. I wound up finding it here. I was disappointed when they wouldn't sell me extra fabric, to have a bolero made, nor could they change the style of the gown. I wound up going somewhere else for alterations, for this reason. They were also way too expensive for alterations. Service was what I expected, not incredibly personal or pampering, but they got the job done.

My wedding dress, bridesmaid gowns and my mother's dress all came from David's Bridal. HOWEVER, it was only because I was trying to stick to a budget. I had horrible experiences here everytime I walked in the door. The sales people did not want to assist, and often times had more than one or two brides to help at one time. Thankfully I had taken 2 of my bridesmaids with me when I went shopping for my dress. Our consultant acted irritated with us and left it up to my girls to help me in and out of the dresses, as well as looking around to try to find things in my size. Then, when I found the one I wanted, I was given one off of the rack at FULL PRICE. No rack discount or anything. When I took my bridesmaids back in to find their dresses, we literally had to wait 45 minutes before a consultant would even help us (and we had made an appointment). It was a zoo in there! The sales woman finally greeted us, threw a couple of dresses into a fitting room, and left us. That was it. I had to go hunt her down when we found the dresses and the sizes that we needed. And FINALLY, when I took my mother in there, we told the saleswoman up front that David's was the first place we had gone to shop and we just wanted to try some things on. She stopped helping us right there. I again, had to go find her to find out what the price was on a dress. We told her we really liked it but wanted to look a few other places first. She just walked away from us at that point. My mom did end up buying that dress, but she bought it from another David's Bridal for $20 LESS than the original girl had told us it was!!! I couldn't believe the unprofessional attitude the girls at this store have. We did get good deals on our dresses (even though mine was straight off the rack at FULL PRICE) but if you're looking for someone to treat you like a "bride" - I wouldn't even bother with this place.

David's Bridal is very convenient to work with. I saw the dress I wanted in a magazine and was able to get it at Davids Bridal. The shipping took less time than I expected. I also ordered my shoes and undergarments through them. While I felt the undergarments were a bit pricey, I couldn't find the bra I needed anywhere else. Overall, Davids is a reliable vendor and with so many stores, you can be assured you will get what you are looking for.

I had a great time picking out my dress. They had some great suggestions and I found my perfect dress there!
GUEST

the sales lady was pushy when i tried on dresses for myself, and she was helping someone else at the same time...not too great of an experience, but I did buy my bridesmaid dresses there (from the party dress line) and all of my girls said they were so glad that they could actually wear them again
GUEST

I really wish that I would never have found the "dress" at David's Bridal. The sales people are not attentative and the lady that was helping me ignored me the entire time because she was helping her friend find a dress while she was supposed to be helping me. The quality is not that great for the price as well. My dress only lasted the day...thank goodness... I would have it preserved but there really is no point.
GUEST

Everyone goes here but they were in budget and I loved my dress. They had it altered literally a day before the wedding and if fit like a glove. I recommend only if you order your dress in advance
GUEST

They don't have a very good plus size selection. The sales associates act as if it is a hassle to assist you.
GUEST

Everyone here was very helpful...from the moment I called to schedule an appointment to look at dresses, to the final fitting!

Bad service, but fast

I had a good experience with David's Bridal. They took the time to make sure everyone in my Wedding Party was properly fitted for their dresses & that everything got ordered & was in on time. There were some timing issues when it came to cleaning my Wedding Gown, but other than that, they are great!

When I went shopping for my dress for the first time, we had excellent service. I also picked out my dress that day - and to make things even better, the dress fit perfectly. Absolutely no alterations were needed. The experience the first time I was there was terrific. However, when I went back for my fitting they tried telling me that my dress needed to be let out 2 inches!! They said that it was too tight in the back. I told them that I disagreed and they were insistant that it needed to be let out. So I went ahead and let them do it. When I went back to try it on again after the alterations, the dress was too big, my bra was hanging out and the stitching looked awful. Long story short, it turned out that my dress DIDN'T need to be let out and that it had been my bra that was too tight. It took about 3 tries to get my dress back to the way it originally was and even then, it wasn't perfect like it was when I initially purchased it. David's Bridal offers a good selection of dresses - just don't let them alter it!!

Good. Very personable and really nice.

I purchased my dress at the Strongsville, OH David's bridal but had it altered here. I also purchased my shoes here. I do not like the fact when you purchase a dress through David's you must get it altered there or void the "warranty." I understand their reasons but I still do not like this. I was a commuting bride as you can see from my various reviews, family in Cleveland, FI in Marion, and me living in Chillicothe. I had to get the dress altered in Columbus because it was the closest David's. The alterations cost about $250, for the bust, hem and bustle. Not a bad deal but I also had to drive an hour one way for each fitting. The seamstress was great. I also purchased shoes, but they did not have the right size on hand. They ordered them for me and I had to exchange them for a smaller size. They did the exchange with out any extra charges. I find their shoes terribly expensive for a one time purchase, but I couldn't find shoes of the right height anywhere else. The staff was very helpful.

The girl's @ David's Bridal made finding a dress for myself & my wedding party VERY easy & affordable!! This is coming from someone who was very indecisive when it came to picking out my wedding dress:)

good prices.

Great place for the value. Being a big chain it has it's drawbacks in service--can be kind of crazy at times.

I would not recommend David's Bridal based on the fact I received a dress that was the incorrect size. This store was 1.5 hours from my home and I had to make 2 trips due to their error. I tried on the right size, they wrote down the correct size, and the wrong size was sent in for me. If they would have checked the dress before contacting me, it would have saved me a 3 hour trip, money, and frustration.

I have dealt with DB before my own wedding and was only going in to look. However, my consultant Tina was an absolute perfect match for me (I was shocked because most of them are unpersonable) so I decided to get my dresses from there. The only reason they are getting high marks from me is because of my consultant. If I were to give advice to other brides I would say if you are looking for top-notch quality and one-on-one service this is not the place.
GUEST

I bought my dress from Davids Bridal because I didn't want to spend too much money or time on my dress. If you are a bride on a budget, i would recommend them because they do have some great mark downs! But i dont think that their quality of fabric is anywhere near the quality of some of the designer gowns. However, having said that, my dress was beautiful in all of the pictures, and i am sure i am the only one that noticed that the satin on Vera Wang dresses has a nicer sheen and flow to it :) My biggest complaint was just that the people that work there tend to be just regular retail workers, not wedding gown specialists. It's kind of like buying a TV from Wal-Mart instead of Best Buy. The people working there know enough, but they are not trained specialists. My advice: no matter where you buy your dress from, dont hesitate to go for the mark down/clearance dresses! No one is going to know you only paid $250 for a dress that was $600 last year!
GUEST

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rather then urging me towards purchasing a more expensive gown, they seemed focused on helping me choose the gown that was right for me.

Davids Bridal is such a common place. While I found the dress that I wanted at a great price, my bridesmaid's dresses were extremely pricy. Also, I was not impressed with the seamstress services. They were bad at communicating with each other, and at communicating with me. It took me a lot of appointments with them to get everything right. I almost had a dress that didnt fit. They did do a great job altering the bridesmaid's dresses though.
GUEST

At first they were not too friendly because I just stopped in without an appointment while out and about. I then made an appointment and they were much more pleasant. I love the dress.

My overall exerperience with David's Bridal at Easton was okay. I went in looking for a dress and was assigned a 7 foot section to look at according to my size. I picked 3 dresses that I thought may be okay, but none of them worked for me. There was a huge section near the dressing rooms I was not offered to look at. When I asked if those dresses came in my size my consultant said "Oh yes, but those are the designer gowns." I felt like I was Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, minus the whole hooker thing! I asked for her to grab me my size in the gown on the manequin and Ta Da...it was the one!! I bought it off the rack, needed no alterations!! But then I lost 40 pounds and needed a smaller size. I was told that 2 months before my wedding, I could order a smaller size. I went in 2 months before my wedding date and the same consultant would not order me a smaller size, saying she was worried about time. I went to the seamstress, who told me that the dress was fine, I just needed bigger boobs (I wore a D cup at the time) So, because they wouldn't alter or order me a new dress...I had to get a big slip and a big bra and stuff the crap out of it!! But I didn't care...I looked amazing! :)

I fell in love with my dress and it was a reasonable price and they even had my size- (Im extremely tall).

I had been through a terrible experience with a personal dress maker. There were 4 weeks til my wedding, and I didn't have a dress! I went to David's Bridal and picked out the one wanted. It was the perfect size and I was able to purchase it and take it home that night. The girls in the store were helpful and patient. Their website is easy to use and they have hundreds of dresses to choose from. They did a great job for my wedding!
GUEST

It was so easy to select my bridesmaid's dresses and accessories with the online tools and the people in the store were great, too. It is a little expensive, but well worth it, I think.
GUEST

Davids Bridal was great for me, I found my gown and all of my flower girls and brides maid dresses in a magazine and Davids was able to finnd them all for me! I call them to set up an appointment during a busy time of year and I heard back from them within the end of the day. My dress was amazing and affordable as were all of the bridsmaid dresses and flower girls =)
GUEST

I was disappointed with my service and went through 2 different sets of bridesmaids shoes. I wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. The dresses we all purchased were nice but we went elsewhere for alterations.
GUEST

I will be honest with you I have shopped at David's for years for prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, etc. So there was no question about where I was going to get my wedding dress it was there! I had the best expirence at first at the Easton location. I found my dress and ordered it, now at David's they assign you a person to be in charge of your fittings and all of that. I always thought picking out my dress would be special and I would be treated great, well I wasn't. When I went back for my final fitting the dress didnt fit, the girl had ordered me the wrong size and it was like a week and a half before my wedding. The alterations department was very rude but they said they could fix it, it wouldnt be a problem. Then I went back again of course they were rude again and tried to charge me for the alterations which werent my fault in the first place and it still didnt fit. I was so devastated, the manager acted like it didnt matter who cares if I am happy or not Im only the bride! so they did a little more to the dress and it barely fit me I was so uncomfortable at my wedding. Oh and I complained to the higher ups and all they did was give me a discount on a bridesmaids dress I had to buy for another wedding it was ridiculous. They are very rude and dont care about their brides.

I had an awful time with Davids Bridal! I had heard so many great things and virtually they have the best variety and selection so I knew I would be getting my dress there. When I went to try on the dress (which I had picked out online, I knew from the moment I saw it online that I was going to purchase that dress) it took me 20 minutes to get someone to even show me around or get a fitting room. Once I got a fitting room the woman helping me would constantly bring me other dresses to try on when I knew I wanted this one in particular! Then she wanted me to try veils. I found a veil I liked but did not purchase it the day I purchased the dress. When my dress came in I went to pick it up and buy my veil. First off she brought me the WRONG dress demanding this was the dress I purchased and I know I coped an attitude with the woman because I know I didn't spend $1150 on a dress that to me was hideous anyways! After going thru 3 people including a manager they finally found my correct dress. I was having a hard time finding the veil I had choose the 1st time. The woman who had helped me never wrote down the model number for the veil and then tried to bring me veils that weren't even the same color white as my dress! It was frustrating and even after arguing w/the sales women I didn't get any type of discount for their stupidy. I cashed out with over $1500 including dress, veil, skirt, and bra. You'd think they'd be a little more professional!

They have an awsome selection on invitations. I found that I liked so many that and all of them were with in my price range!
GUEST

I had all my alterations done at this store. They were absolutely wonderful! They also took care of my bridesmaids' dresses. Everything came in when they said it would and exactly how it was supposed to be. Ask for Jackie Knox if you are looking for your dress. She is the greatest consultant!
GUEST

We bought a simple off-the-rack dress and alterations. The dress was perfect for our beach wedding and after the alterations also fit perfectly. The staff was not pushy and seemed flexible to arrange times for alterations, although only one visit was necessary.
GUEST

I did not get my wedding gown here, but this is where my bridesmaids got their dresses and shoes. The dresses were a GREAT deal and I would recommend checking out David's if you are on a budget. I would avoid them for alterations though, they are terribly expensive. Some of my girls spent almost as much on alterations as they did on the $110 dress! They can match your shoes perfectly to your dress, which I loved. I did get my shoes here and they were a great price.

From the moment I walked in to my very last fitting I was treated as if I was spending a million dollars on the dress. I absolutely loved my experience with David's Bridal
