Reviews for David's Bridal (Birmingham, AL)
Overall, I was very pleased with the service I received while shopping at David's Bridal at the Galleria location. I bought my dress at a separate location, but ordered and received my bridesmaids' dresses from this location. The consultants were always very helpful and friendly. All of the dress selections for my bridesmaids' were correct (style, color). The only thing I would suggest to brides who are going to this location is that Saturdays can be extremely busy, to the point where the line for checkout can be up to 45 minutes long. Weekdays were the best time for me to visit the store.
Overall, I was satisfied with the service that I received from David’s Bridal, however I would caution brides to take a couple of friends or family members, to help when you are deciding on a dress to purchase. There are consultants at the store to assist you with this, but some days they are very busy and are not able to give you the individual attention that you desire when you are choosing a dress, shoes, or accessories. I was pleased with the dress selection that was available and I was able to decide on a dress that fit my budget on the very first visit. I would also like to inform brides that David’s Bridal is a popular location for prom dresses so make sure there is extra order time around the spring when most high school proms take place.
David’s Bridal had a great selection of bridesmaid’s dresses in appropriate styles that were reasonably priced for my wedding party. One reason I chose David’s Bridal for my bridesmaid’s dresses was due to the fact that I had a bridesmaid in Maryland, a matron of honor in Ohio, and a flower girl in Georgia. There was a David’s Bridal location in each state which allowed everyone to visit their local store for accurate measurements and I was able to order the dresses in Alabama with the measurements that were sent to me. The dresses were received on time and fit each bridesmaid with only minor alterations.
The dress that I found at David’s Bridal was almost a perfect fit without alterations. I had two alterations made, the spaghetti straps on my dress were adjusted to my measurements and my bustle was altered for my height. I only had 1 or 2 appointments with the seamstress at the store but I was able to have my dress altered correctly, it was done at a reasonable price, and delivered on time. I had several bridesmaids that needed alterations also. The store only had 2 seamstresses which may make some brides a bit nervous if they need multiple dresses altered but, everyone received their altered dresses as promised with a great fit.
David's bridal has poor quality fabric for about the same price as a private shop. Good for bridesmaids dresses if they are all over the country though.
I had heard mixed reviews about shopping for a wedding dress at David’s before I went, but I had a great experience and my Bridal consultant was very helpful. I think your experience will be determined by how good your consultant is and I just happened to get lucky. While David’s may not be the best place to get a highly unique dress, it is great for someone shopping on a budget. Mine actually went on sale shortly after I tried it on and I was able to get it for $249 which was a steal. I would not advise getting alterations done here if at all possible because of how expensive they are and sometimes the work is not the best. I was fortunate that my mom was able to do all of these for me. Just an FYI, if you get your alterations done elsewhere, David’s will not steam, store or prepare your dress for the wedding, so you will be responsible for all that.
I was able to find a dress I really liked for all my bridesmaids here and the greatest benefit was that they were all able to go to the store and try one on, even though they were spread out all over the country. I think this made all of them feel better about their dress. Again, I have heard mixed reviews about David’s for bridesmaids dresses, but all of my girls had a great experience. The dress was also more affordable for them since it was already cheaper than most places and they all received 20% off since I had bought my dress there. I think David’s works really well if you can find a dress you like when you do have a bridal party coming from several different states.
I went to David's Bridal to look for my veil. The only problem was all the selection, it was hard to choose which one I wanted! The Huntsville staff is friendly and there area always several of them to help you find what you need and show you different ways to wear things such as veils and headpieces.
The Dresses were fine and they were correct, but there was a lot of confusion about the accessaries that the girls were supposed to get and they keep selling them the wrong pieces, and with a no refund policy that can be a problem.
I bought my wedding dress at David's and the staff was very willing to work with me. They were overbooked which made it difficult to keep things moving but I went on a Saturday...weekdays are way better. The dress however was beautiful and made me feel good.
Ordered the bridesmaid's dresses from the Southridge location. Excellent service, greeted by name, dresses came in quickly and without a problem.
The customer service at David's Bridal was great. Anna did a great job selecting dresses that would fit the look that I wanted. She was knowledgable and quick in getting different dresses for me. She knew exactly what to accessorize each dress with and made each one look stunning. Her service brought me back a second time with my mom to confirm the choice that I had made. My dress came in about 2 weeks and fit me perfectly, even better than the dress I had originally tried on. I would recommend Anna at the David's Bridal on 28th St in Grand Rapids as a consultant to anyone in search of that perfect dress.
Although the prices are better than most all boutiques and the wedding party is able to go into any store in the country to be fitted, there have been some issues. Bridesmaids dresses were never ordered by the organization as we had been told. This was quite a last minute stress, but it was worked out. The flower girl's dress came in in a different size than it was ordered in.
David's Bridal is one of the best places to go if you expect good treatment. IT's nice because you set up an apointment and get your own time with a sales rep. They are very helpful and not pushy.
they have the widest selection of bridal gowns i have ever seen. and if they don't have what you're looking for there they definitly have it online
I got my dress, bridesmaids dresses, mothers dress, and flower girl dress. Most of the dresses we took right from the store and had no problems with the ones we ordered. However we did have some problems when it came to the alteration dept. They would not press one of the dresses that was shipped to me by my bridesmaid because it was not altered in one of their stores. None of the girls were to this including me. Be very careful when you call for information on anything. Everytime I called I would get a different answer. The only place you can see the alteration policies in on there web site. In the long run they did take care of me but after many phone calls.
I ordered online the matching flower basket, ring bearer pillow, guest book and pen. It came very fast and was very nice. It even look better then the pictures.
