Davids Bridal

David's has some very beautiful and affordable dresses. However, due to their commission based selling structure, David's also has the occasional overly pushy consultant. That being said, I bought both my dresses there, and if you can avoid being talked into something you don't want, it's hardly the worst place to get your dress.

The consultant at David's Bridal was very helpful when I went to try on wedding gowns. She was able to spend a lot of time with me because I made my appointment for a week day. I was also able to find the bridesmaids dresses the same day. I chose the color and allowed the bridesmaids to choose the style. Each of the girls chose a different style and they were all beautiful. The dresses were on sale, which made them affordable for everyone. My dress was beautiful and affordable as well. I did not have my dress altered at David's Bridal because if was very expensive. I went to a local seamstress and paid less than half of what David's Bridal quoted me.

The service I received when buying my wedding dress was great. The prices for some items was very high vs. what you were actually getting. I highly recommend to any bride-to-be to make your own veil. The prices are outrageous for something so simple; however, on the flipside, I couldn't be more happy with my dress. It was comfortable and absolutely gorgeous!

Got a very beautiful dress from David's Bridal. They do have some tricky selling schemes to get you to agree to buy something and not tell you the price until you have paid for it all and then you can't return it. Some things are extremely expensive and they are simple items like the slip.

i was very satisfied with my dress the only thing i didnt like was the alterations they did the seamstrist insisted that i had to have my train busseled a certain way even though i didnt like it she did it anyway and it was expessive to alter just the bussel

I ordered my dress and they said that it would take approx. 2 months, it took five days!!!!

We had nothing but good luck. We purchased the bridal gown, mother of the bride dress, and the bridesmaids dresses here. The girls all had their shoes dyed here as well. With the girls and myself being across the country this was wonderful. We were able to pick a style and they were able to go get fitted and pick up within weeks. We had been told expect four to six months for the bridesmaids dressed but they arrived within six weeks! They had almost every size imaginable which was great since my bridesmaides ranged in size from four to twenty four. They had all the sizes and offered to get bigger sizes if needed. When trying on my bridal gown I knew which one I wanted, but my assistant helped me look for others incase I might want to just try on a few more. She knew what I was looking for in a bridal gown without me telling her and she found gowns she thought might really flaunt my figure. She was so helpful and very knowledgeable about what I should be looking for and what would make things easier for the wedding. At David's they were giving me tips about shoes and accessories I wouldn't have thought of until the day of the wedding. Like that my bridal gown (which was a perfect fit and needed really no alterations) shouldn't need much of a heel, but that I should wear my shoes around as much as possible to break them in. I had bought a cathedral train so they added extra tight loops to the bustle of my dress. When it came time to buy my mother's dress they were so helpful, and my mother is so picky. I thought it would take hours to convince her to buy this particular dress, but one of the other assitants walking by looked at my mother in her dress and told her that if she didn't buy that gown she would probably regret it since it did so much for her figure. And it sold my mom right there. She even bought pointed shoes which my mother never does. I can't say enough good things about David's Bridal.

David's Bridal is hit or miss. A couple of times I thought I made a good choice, but most of the time, I felt like the people didnt care about me at all. Trying on wedding dresses and getting fitted is supposed to be a wonderful time, I felt like they didnt care about my concerns with the fit, and that they were overbooked and trying to rush me out of the place. Plus, they messed up our shoe order. So glad I didnt get my bridesmaid dresses there too. They have a pretty good selection of dresses, but I would recommend going to a smaller, friendlier business.
