Dawn Stoloff

We did an engagement session with her. Our wedding and the hired photographer is in LA, so we needed to find a local photographer for e-pics.

She's very professional and responsive. I found her via Craigslist when she was having a promotion for engagement sessions. She normally charges 500 before the discount. I browsed her work and thought it's a steal for her artistic ability.

Dawn is very easy going and pleasant to be with. She directed us when we didn't know what to do, and she also let us be when we were "in the moment".

After searching and researching so many different photographers, finding Dawn and Pierre to take our wedding photos felt like pure luck. From the moment I emailed Dawn, she was prompt, so sweet, and was able to personalize an amazing package just for us.

Dawn and Pierre were fantastic at our wedding. They are some of the most creative and friendliest people ever!! We immediately fell in love with their style and were completely blown away with the result. Our slideshow was absolutely gorgeous and the details they ended up getting were priceless! So many of our guests commented on how amazing they both were. Their timing was spot-on and they must have taken over 1,000 photos. We were so pleased.

We have booked Dawn to photograph our wedding on October 25, and although I cannot attest to the actual experience of being photographed by her (yet), I can say that our experience of her so far has been exceptional. She has a personalized and professional attitude, and also has much experience in all areas of photography, with a specialism in correct lighting. She was happy and comfortable meeting with my mother and I, and handled all our questions and concerns with ease. Although she couldn't present us with a portfolio, she went out of her way to send me a DVD of another couple's wedding, so I could see how she handles different parts of the day. All in all, she is fab!

UPDATE!

Dawn shot our wedding just over a week ago, and we just got our slideshow of photos from her. And wow, what a success! It is true what they say - she has a wonderful aesthetic, professional and clear ability in what she does. Everyone was also impressed by her calm and collected manner, whilst still being able to round everyone up for the group photos. She respected our wish for some portrait shots, whilst also providing us with so many amazing different varieties of picture. Everything about her has been stunning, so you should book her for your wedding before her prices get like the main-stream SF wedding photographers!

I wish I could give her 10 stars because 5 just isn't enough.! Dawn is AMAZING, not just her pictures but her. She is so comfortable to be around and makes the process so simple. I found Dawn online as I was looking for an engagement photographer. I spoke to her and she mentioned that the City of Bolinas which she lives in is absolutely beautiful and that she knew of some beautiful spots we could shoot. From San Jose it was about a two hour drive but it was well worth it and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The views, the beaches, the atmosphere, it was inspiring and awakened all of my senses. I actually think the location brought out something in my fiance that he didn't even know was there. Dawn helped us open up and the pictures are incredible. She has a way of knowing you by looking into your eyes, she has such a soft personality. My son even chose to walk hand in hand with her after just a short time from meeting her. My fiance is not a camera person and we are not the typical romantic couple, so for us to do the hugging intimate shots was very uncomfortable but with Dawn's direction it felt natural. She knew exactly what to do and say to put us completely at ease. I would recommend her to everyone, if you want memorable, inspiring pictures that capture all the emotions you are feeling at every moment, then you have to call Dawn. There are not enough words I can use to express my gratitude to her for pulling out of us what is deep within and what we don't show to anyone including eachother most of the time...... Thank you Dawn.....

Even people who came to our wedding can't believe how good it came across in our photos. I found Dawn and Pierre very easy to communicate with and nothing could be more important if you're trying to capture an emotionally charged day. They are a very down to earth, professional team. Having reviewed several photographers portfolios prior to selecting them, I have an even deeper sense of gratitude for the results they came up with. They manage to be both classic and candid at the same time. These are photos that we will never grow tired of.
