Reviews for Day's Jewelers

Staff were fabulous. They helped us customize the most gorgeous wedding set. And they offer conflict free diamonds!!
GUEST

we had several rings that we had seen on their website and they were able to have them transferred to our local store for us to look at. When I was looking for a pair of earrings to wear on my wedding day they were able to help me make a selection.

Excellent customer service (Gayle was a big help!) and quick delivery. Beautiful rings that were sized just right!
GUEST

They were very nice and had good prices. I was a little disappointed when I went to get a second engraving and they squeezed it so close to the first that it all looks like one word, when they had plenty of room at the end. Overall, a wonderful experience.

We got the wedding bands at Days. They were very nice and helped us pick out beautiful bands without being pushy. We found the prices were not that out of control either. A man named Leo helped us with everything and I would go back to him again.
GUEST

Good prices, great customer service. They appreciate the value of repeat customers by offering little extra like cleaning of past purchases and discounts here and there. My husband and I both love our rings.

Good value

The sales lady was wonderful. She listened to what I was looking for in an engagement ring and helped me find the perfect fit. I get many compliments on it. She helped us stick to our price range too. She did forget to give us some of the paperwork we needed for the ring but sent it to us in the mail. We were satisified enough with the store that we went back and got our wedding bands from them too!

Chris and his staff are fabulous. I've been in there several times since the wedding for warranty work etc. They definitly have customers for life! My husband went to about 30 different stores in New England over a 6 month period of time trying to find the best setting and diamond and really found Days the easiest to work with. They are no pressure and I know that whatever we are getting from there is quality. Their customer service is bar none, and I feel comfortable leaving my jewelery there unlike other stores!

My ring is beautiful, and my husband loves his. They were willing to work with him on getting my wedding band to match my engagement ring perfectly. There is also a Days Jewelers in Brunswick, ME. We have been in both locations and the customer service was excellent in both.
I always go to Day's Jewelers when I purchase jewelry, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Excellent prices, fantastic service and very helpful associates.
About Day's Jewelers
Everyone who works at Day’s understands that our reason for being is you, our customer. So, we go to extra efforts to make sure that every experience you have in our stores is extraordinary.
When you visit Day’s, you won’t find us in a mall. Exorbitant mall rent would cause us to raise our prices and we’d rather put our money into carrying the latest in fine jewelry fashion, the space to show you thousands of different items, and the design and service centers each of our stores has to handle all your jewelry needs. Most importantly, we want to save you money.
We currently have a staff of almost 150 professionals who are at your service everyday. Our buyers travel the world to find the finest diamonds, latest in gold, and brand name watches at the best values. If you don’t have the best credit score but need to charge a purchase, no worries, we grant our own credit. No banks, no credit card companies, just like the way it used to be.
History
Day’s Jewelers was founded in 1914 by Captain Harry Davidson, whose ill health forced him to abandon a life at sea. The first Day’s was a small pawn shop/auction center located in the Old Port of Portland Maine.
Shortly thereafter, Captain Davidson was joined in the business by his three sons. During the ensuing 30 years, the Davidson brothers opened 21 Day’s stores throughout northern New England. Day’s quickly became one of the most formidable jewelry store chains on the East Coast.
In 1988, at ages 80 and 75 respectively, Sidney and David Davidson, the remaining owners of Day’s, decided to retire. They searched for new owners that would carry on their tradition of value, outstanding quality merchandise, and top level customer service.
They found their new owners in Jeff, Jim, and Kathy Corey, and Mark Ford. Jeff and Jim’s father, Robert Corey, had worked for David and Sidney for several years before co-founding his own company in Northern Maine with his wife Enid. Both Jeff and Jim were taught at an early age to appreciate every customer, and treat them like a "King".
Today, Day’s operates six stores throughout New England. The new owners combined skills and knowledge from the "old" Day’s with modern technology. This change was accomplished without sacrificing the exceptional personal customer service, fine quality, and low prices that have been the reason for Day’s success for over 90 years.
We have carried on the proud tradition of the Davidsons’. Day’s has also been voted "Best Jeweler" by Market Surveys of America, multiple times throughout all of our locations. As David said so well, "Yes, you always do better at Day’s".
