Debbie Schwab Wedding Cakes

Debbie is so incredibly talented! My cake was gorgeous and was by far the most delicious cake I have ever had tasted. Plus, the cost was ridiculously low! I got so many compliments on the cake. I just love the work she did for me! I sat down with her and spent nearly two hours discussing every aspect of my wedding cake. It turned out even better than I imagined. Everyone should use her for their wedding cakes!!

DELICIOUS, BEAUTIFUL CAKES! she is very detail oriented, and makes sure she is creating the exact cake that you want. she was able to make my husband a record player groom's cake too!! :)

Debbie is great at what she does, but her small business size may limit what she may be able to do for you. A good friend of mine recommended her to me. She does all of the work out of her home, but you wouldn't know that she doesn't own a professional bakery if you didn't already know. She was able to recreate and slightly modify a design I liked, one from a popular wedding magazine. The cake was delicious, and she was even able to get green frosting and chocolate fondant. I met with her once at her home to create the design, and flavor of my cake (french vanilla with raspberry filling) and she even agreed to do a two tiered cake with two satellite cakes, instead of a larger, traditional three or four tiered cake. I would only rate her as a 2.5 on flexibility, because refused to use the organic ingredients I preferred. She said that she had tried diabetic or "sugar free" cakes before and they did not turn out well, so she was against the idea of using ingredients that were other than what she normally uses. Even though having an organic wedding cake was very important to me, I was unable to find anyone in the area who would, and she did have excellent tasters and came with a high recommendation. She also did not have right size cake plates to fit the two satellite cakes and I had to purchase those on my own. I got married in the summer and she had 3 other weddings she was delivering to in the same day--but it arrived on time, and the icing didn't even melt. Despite some minor things, I was overall very pleased with her service and her level of professionalism. She did include a fuel surcharge for delivering the cake 60 miles from her home, but in all, the price was right for the quality. (She only made the wedding cake, not the grooms cake. I chose a family friend to make the groom's cake).
