DMPJ by Glen Cooper

I cannot recommend a better photographer for your special wedding day. Glen and his team proved that they work with any family, take any task, and make it the best! Glen was like a leprechaun, he was so unobtrusive that you never saw him, but he always got the best shot. I didn't want a flash in your eyes photographer and Glen proved that it could be done while getting the best shots. My album came out fabulous with Glen helping me to design it every step of the way...

We are still so bowled over by how beautiful the photos are -- the summer light, the flowers, the paella, and all the happy people look wonderful -- and by how well they capture the emotions of the day and the personalities and relationships of everyone there. Looking at them really does feel a bit like re-living our wedding. Nate and Glen absolutely understood what was important to us. They were also so good at putting everyone at ease - we and our guests rarely even noticed we were being photographed! We have been enjoying looking through them and showing them to our family and friends so much, and we're looking forward to putting together an album. It is going to be a little painful to pick a few favorites though - there are so many perfect vignettes of the day!

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

Right from the start, Asha and Glen were so easy and fun to work with. Asha always answered my questions so quickly and was always cheerful and eager to help. I had no idea what I wanted from my photography package and she helped me sort that out.

We did our engagement shoot with Glen and we ended up with some fabulous photos to display at the shower and the wedding. We had Chris and Natasha as our photographers for the wedding. We got a chance to meet with Chris a couple months before the wedding so we could make a schedule and talk about what kind of photos we wanted. At the wedding, everyone in our bridal party loved Chris and Natasha and had a blast with them, but at the same time, we didn't feel their presence as they took photos. They were able to blend in with the crowd or stay on the sidelines but still get fabulous shots.

My husband and I are a bit nervous around the camera and didn't really know how to pose, but at both the engagement shoot and the wedding, each photographer was able to help us look natural and also capture some great candids.

At first, I thought DMPJ was out of my budget and I tried to find another photographer. I couldn't find anyone whose pictures moved me as much as the ones I saw on the DMPJ website, so I decided to book DMPJ. They are truly a group of gifted professionals. I absolutely do not regret choosing to go over my budget on the photography because we are so happy with what we got. When I looked through my online album for the first time, the photos brought back all the emotions I felt that day and I could even hear what songs were playing at the time. We've received lots of compliments on our photos and I find myself looking through the online album again once a week! I can’t wait to choose our prints and see our album come together.

Weddings are tough to plan and there is a lot that you have to think about. One thing that was easy for us, was knowing that photography was one of the most important things to us. It's the one of the only tangible things that lasts and the only thing that brings those non tangible memories back to life. Knowing this, picking DMPJ was an easy thing to do. Their photography is an art – not just a pretty picture. And it captures a story – not just a moment. It truly brings our special day to life every time we look at them. And I can't even tell you how amazing Glen, Asha, and Chris were to work with. I am so happy that DMPJ was my photographer.

After viewing the DMPJ website, Earl and I knew we wanted the same proficiency and fashion in our wedding photos. DMPJ did not need to convince us of the quality photojournalism we would receive through them, simply because their artwork speaks for itself brilliantly and we were already sold.

DMPJ did an excellent job guiding us through the business process and employed great communication along the way. Our in person meeting and our phone calls with Asha and Chris left us feeling confident we were in good hands. Throughout the process, all questions and concerns were resolved simply and promptly. In general, the services provided were very professional, accommodating and encouraging.

We knew everyone at DMPJ was looking forward to our wedding day. Their appreciation and thoughtfulness was shown unexpectedly through a gift of chocolates and a post card. These small acts of kindness filled us with gratitude for choosing DMPJ: we had amazing talent with equally amazing character working for us!

Earl and I have thoroughly enjoyed previewing our photos online; we are overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement! Reliving our beautiful day through the lens of DMPJ has been pure bliss. We are thrilled to see more. Our wedding day was very special and we’re so glad to have shared it with DMPJ.

I don't know where to begin...how can we express our gratitude for these unbelievably beautiful photos? You captured every detail and every emotion from start to finish. It was so amazing to look through each picture and 're-live' our day while smiling, laughing, tearing up... My wife and I could not have been happier with the job Glen Cooper and his team did at our wedding. Even before the big day Glen was never out of communication with us to make sure our day would go as planned; from in person meetings, to phone conferences, to numerous emails, Glen was available, responsive and highly professional. We chose Glen as our photographer because we were extremely impressed with the artistic and creative touch he added to his photos and we knew that when all was said and done we would have a special portfolio of pictures that were unlike anyone's. Well, the photos came the other day and they exceeded our expectations! Glen and his team captured all the moments we had hoped for and then some, with over 1,000 pictures, every minute of our day and night were documented just as we had hoped. We would highly recommend Glen Cooper to any bride and groom NOT looking for a stodgy photographer and a lot of formals, but for a professional, fresh, and creative perspective, and a ton of spectacular memories. If I could give Glen 7 stars out of 5 I would!! We had two wedding parties, one on the east coast and one on the west coast, and he photographed both. He is super fun to work with, makes all the guests feel comfortable and is a calming positive presence at the wedding. He is SUPER committed to doing whatever it takes to get the best shot and his results are just fantastic...all of our guests have made comments about the beautiful photographs including the families....using Glen will be the best decision you ever made =)

We could not have asked for a better photography crew to work with on our wedding day! Everyone that we worked with at DMPJ was friendly, patient and understanding throughout the entire process. The photographs that they captured the entire day were above and beyond my expectations. Glen and Chris worked together and didn't miss a single moment or detail and did so in a creatively, graceful and discrete manner throughout the day. Choosing DMPJ to photograph our wedding was by far the easiest (and best) decision we made when planning four our wedding. Their work is flawless, their assistance in the process is continual, their talent is boundless. They were open to all of our ideas, helped us make the tough decisions and made the entire process enjoyable, something that we lacked from many of our other vendors. Even after the wedding their professionalism did not stop. With a September wedding we knew it would be difficult to get all of our pictures ready and prepared for the album for Christmas so that we could purchase mini albums for family and friends, but Asha and Glen worked tirelessly with us to make sure that the process was not only smooth but that we also ended up with the best album we could. If I ever need a photographer for any occasion here on out, the only one that I would ever consider is dmpj.

DMPJ truly made my wedding day everything I had imagined. As a bride (or groom) you spend, on average, an entire year planning and envisioning your day. (If you are like me, you've been envisioning walking down the aisle since you were 5...)

After the wedding, all you have to remember the efforts, memories and emotions from it are your pictures. Glen, Chris, Asha and the entire team at DMPJ captured everything we could ever hope for and we will now remember our wedding day as if we were right back in the moment of it all!

We had them create an album and our thank you cards and everything from the process to the quality is way above expectations!

Photography was the most important aspect of wedding planning for me. My mom gave me some great advice: when the day is over, all you have left are each other and the pictures. So it was vital that I found someone who would document the day thoroughly and beautifully.

DMPJ did an absolutely fantastic job at our engagement session and wedding. From the first phone call, communication with the company never presented any problems. The photographers went out of their way before the events to carefully go over logistics with us to make sure any potential wrinkles were ironed out ahead of time. We had Glen and Taylor at our wedding and they were awesome. They showed up with cameras ready hours before the ceremony when I was getting ready and my husband was out racing gocarts with his friends :) Glen was really good at directing us for formal and group shots...with the chaos of your wedding day you need someone to tell you where to go, how to stand, etc etc. He was also open to our own ideas as well. My father said Glen was the hardest working photographer he had ever seen. It was amazing how many pictures he took, and how many little moments he captured that I would have otherwise completely missed.

DMPJ was great in letting us know when we needed to start making album decisions in order to get everything by the holidays. It was a bit daunting to comb through a thousand images to pick our top eighty, but we were so happy with the final product. It was so nice to be able to give nice albums to our parents for Christmas and Hanukkah.

I would recommend DMPJ for wedding photography anytime. It is a small company with down-to-earth people who love what they do (and do it well) and want to make customers happy.

Glen was an amazing photographer - on time, exceptionally professional, and just all-around fantastic. He and Asha were very flexible about different package options, so we were able to get exactly what we wanted. Everyone who has seen the pictures comments on how beautiful they are. Somehow, Glen managed to make my husband and I look incredibly photogenic in every shot! His photos really tell the complete story of our wedding day - looking at the gallery of pictures made my husband start crying all over again, just like he did during the actual wedding! It's hard to pick a favorite picture because there are so many amazing ones. He captured several moments perfectly - like when my husband and I first saw each other - when I look at the pictures it totally brings me back to those moments.

Glen and Asha were amazing. They were super-responsive (they always answered my emails within 24 hours, and very professional. I would highly recommend DMPJ to anyone!

There are things you want a "do over" on when you get married. Picking DMPJ was NOT one of those things. We're not 100% through the process of finalizing our albums, but everything to this point has been 5-star.

Glen was amazing! He was super friendly to all our guest, even included the children of guests in help with setting up some shots after they asked. He took many many wonderful shots. He went out of his way again and again. He met with us before to plan out the day and get the certain shots we wanted. He was, by far, the best vendor of the day! You will NOT be disappointed!

I felt like I got quite a deal. I contracted two photographers -- to save money, I didn't hire the head photographer, but contracted an associate and an unnamed junior assistant. But it turned out the head photographer came as the assistant, so I got two pros! It showed in the result; the "highlight" photos he chose were amazing, and the "ordinary" group would be another photographers highlights. There was tremendous variety of camera angle and color; many of the pictures were in impressive in multiple dimensions ... i.e. not only did they a picture tell a story, but it had dramatic composition too, or not only was it a fab glamour shot, but the light and color were also extraordinary. I wish I could learn to do that (my best pictures are usually exceptional in one way at most.) You get something you really couldn't do yourself.

Choosing a wedding photographer in many ways is like choosing an author to write a part of your biography. My Wife and I feel very fortunate to have found DMPJ and Glen Cooper to document the chapter of our wedding day.

Our pictures were incredible and our overall experience was amazing. If you are still searching for somebody to photograph your wedding day do yourself a favor and contact DMPJ. They are true professionals with a great perspective.

They were exceptionally helpful working with me to make my package perfect. Glen took the time to visit both my ceremony and reception locations prior to the wedding. Even though my wedding was very large he and his assistants didnt miss a thing. My pictures turned out better than I could have imagined. It was well worth the money to get the unique and artistic pictures I was looking for.

We had a destination wedding (in the Berkshires) and Glen met us several months in advance to walk the grounds & to really get to know us. Leading up to the wedding, any question or concern that we had was answered promptly!

On the day of the wedding, Glen and Chris spent several hours with the wedding party & captured some incredible, intimate shots. Throughout the day the seamlessly moved around the ceremony and reception & produced some of the most amazing pictures that we have ever seen!

We would recommend Glen and his team to anyone that wants to have truly remarkable photo memories of their special day!

Working with Decisive Moment Photojournalists was a dream. Glen and Asha, the married couple who are behind the studio are relaxed, patient and extremely creative. There was no stress involved with planning the photos we wanted shot, or arranging meetings with them prior to the wedding. The day of, Glen and his team were everywhere, and in a good way. They knew how to get information from family and friends about where the bride was getting ready, etc. and arrived to capture some great moments without being intrusive...I would say the same for the ceremony and the reception. The best part of the whole deal was the photographs that we ended up with-I never expected them to be so incredibly beautiful and timeless. There was so much range in emotion captured in all the images-Glen is a true artist. There are fantastic portraits that convey the intimacy of the moment with my husband and I, as well as amazing shots of of our crazy families on the dance floor that I will treasure forever. I would highly, highly recommend DMPJ!

Decisive Moment is absolutely the best. Darren was the photographer, and he did such a wonderful job. I didn?t want posing wedding pictures. I was looking for special eyes to capture the important moments, the smile, and the veil in the wind, the glance from the groom to the bride, the cute but shy flower girls? faces, and tears from the parents? And guess what, Darren did it all. Asha and Glen are great as well. They are the best team. I am very happy that one day I came cross with their work online, and it caught my eyes?

Glen took amazing photographs. My husband and I are thrilled that he photographed our wedding.

The pictures came out great, and we were both impressed. Was well worth the money we put in, great service and quality

Two things:
1. Glen Cooper (and the other photographers that work with him) REALLY knows what he's doing.
2. He shoots *interesting* photos, not just good ones. They are really works of art.

The pictures of our wedding capture the spirits of so many of our favorite people - and the energy of the day. Real treasures.

AMAZING!! The entire DMPJ team was an absolute pleasure to work with. Asha, the business manager if you will, took the time to get to know me and listened to me explain exactly what it was that I wanted my wedding pictures to come out like. She then recommended a great photographer on their team, Darren, and set up a time for my husband and I to meet Darren and Glenn. I live out of state, so they were extremely accommodating in planning everything. I think we sat with them for almost two hours looking at weddings they had done, as well as other non-wedding photography. On the day of the wedding, Darren and his assistant Darcy were extremely professional- everyone at the wedding commented on how great the photographers were- they were even getting out of the way of guests so that guests could take pictures too. When I saw the pictures of the day I could not stop smiling! They came out AMAZING!! Glenn did an amazing job editting them. While I am sure DMPJ can take great "traditional" wedding pictures, their strenght is that they are photojournalists and tell the story of your wedding through pictures- they are so unique and beautiful. I cannot explain how pleased I am with DMPJ- there just aren't enough words to explain what a professional and talented team they are. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

Great work! Really good camera skills. Know what they are doing

The people at DMPJ really went out of their way on a number of occasions to make me feel they valued us as clients. There were a few things that happened that I was disappointed about and they did everything they could to accommodate me. These things were mainly my oversights, but they really tried their best to help!

They're a fun company, with lots of neat surprises along the way, and are passionate about all sorts of photography. I have really enjoyed working with them.

One tip - I had asked to make sure they got pictures of my elderly, visiting-from-faraway uncle, and the only two I got was because I was standing with him when one of the photographers walked by and I asked. Unfortunately, I don't really like the pictures and they are the only two I have. So, be vigilant about communicating the pictures that you want taken.

Be wary when considering Decisive Moment as your photographer...My fiance and I only looked at various websites to decide which photographers we wanted to interview. When we contacted DMPJ, the coordinator (not photographer) wanted to have a conversation with us over the phone to see if we were a good 'fit' for them. We were like, 'ok' whatever kind of weird. The conversation was kind of awkward. Felt like we were the ones being interviewed, but she was happy to proceed. So we then met with her and the photographer. We never had a chance to talk to the photographer directly because the coordinator was so overwhelming. After the meeting, we tried negotiating over packages. A couple requests: we didn't need an engagement session, so we asked for a comparable price reduction or a swap for something else. She was very opposed to this, but have a several emails were able to convince her. We also wanted to meet with the photographer on our own but not allowed. They said they weren't flexible on the price because their advertising funds come from our package and any discounts would go to their next clients. This is what really sent me over the edge with them. Why does the person after me get a discount and not us!? So before we could decide yes or no, we received an email saying they didn't want to work with us.
