Great experience!! Our cake was beautiful and guests raved about the taste! Can't wait till our anniversary so we can have it again!

So many people at our reception said that our wedding cake was the best they have ever had!

Our wedding was at the Breakers, which gets the cakes from Del Ponte's, lucky for us! It was so delicious, and they were awesome to work with. I got many compliments on the 3 flavors we got (peaches and cream - that was ours and the top tier, which I ate stale and still delicious over a week later - cannolli and chocolate raspberry).

Cake was great except I wanted liv greens on the cake and instead got artificial ones.....but tasted VERY good!

Guests are still talking about our wedding cake! They loved the cake, even those who told us their not into cakes and after the wedding, everyone was raving about our wedding cake. When we met the baker, he created several different combinations with us as well as talked about options for design. We were having a beach wedding so we worked with him to design a beautiful seashell and starfish-themed wedding cake. It was elegant and beautiful to look at as well as the taste was divine. Everywhere we went we heard, what's more important to you: taste or design? We would say both and be told that that's not possible. For an incredible design, you need fondant which doesn't taste that great. Well, Del Ponte's delivered both taste and design! They were champs! We"ll be going back to get all our cakes from them for future occasions and we can't wait for our one year anniversary so we can eat our wedding cake again!

We were married at Breakers in Spring Lake and Del Ponte's makes the cakes for all the weddings. We met with Vinney 2 months prior to the wedding and did a cake testing. WOW, We didn't want to stop eating! The cakes were delicious, fresh and he shared many options. We had a 5 tier cake so we did Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Filling for 2 layers which is not a typical wedding cake choice but it was a big hit! Then we did vanilla/chocolate with raspberry filling for the other 3 layers. I tried both at the wedding and was totally thrilled!

The design was beautiful, white and black themed cake. I emailed him over some pictures of what i liked. I wasn't too picky on the design as I was with how good it tasted. Many guests commented on how beautiful the cake looked (even the toughest critics) and how delicious and moist the cake was. We also added italian cannoli's to the desert options (one on each plate).

Very Tasty

We had our wedding reception at the Breakers in Spring Lake, NJ, and they contract out their wedding cakes (included in the wedding package) to Del Ponte's Bakery. My problem was that neither my fiance or I like cake. When we met with Vinny at Del Ponte's, we told him this, and he said we could pick anything in the entire bakery for dessert at our wedding. He was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and even let us sample some of the desserts we were considering. We ended up going with an assorted dessert tower that included mini chocolate peanut butter mousse, lemon meringue, fruit tarts, cheese cakes, chocolate dipped macaroons, carrot cake cup cakes, red velvet cup cakes, and tiramisu. Everything was DELICIOUS, and we received nothing but compliments from our guests! Not only were the desserts delicious, but Vinny arranged them beautifully for our reception.

I thought we had a good meeting when I ordered the cake. I showed them pictures in their books of what I wanted and I was there when they wrote everything down, decribing the design. I brought in a picture of the groom's cake I wanted and they said "that is easy, we do baseball hats all the time" (it was actually a baseball hat resting on homeplate with brown sugar to look like the dirt on a baseball field). They completely ommited the homeplate and brown sugar the day of the wedding and everyone said the hat looked like a jello mold. It did not look authentic at all, like the picture I showed. The actual wedding cake was supposed to have silver edible beading around each tier but when it arrived, the beading was white, the same color as the cake. The cake had no design or texture on each tier. While we were at the bakery before the wedding we had agreed on a different floral design for each tier. I just wished they had told me before the wedding that they could not have given me what we had decided on. It was a dissapointment. The good points are the cake tasted ok and it was free because it was included with our wedding package at the Breakers. If you use this vendor, you chould triple check that you are going to get what you ask for.

Our wedding cake was to die for! I do not like cake in most cases and did not care what our cake tasted like since I figured that I would not like it anyway. We went to pick out our cake and we looked through many books. My husband choose our design and flavors since he does like cake. He chose vanilla cake with peaches and cream filling with vanilla butter cream icing. Everyone is still talking about our cake. It was the most moist, most delicious, most wonderful cake I have ever eaten and I don't even like cake! Everyone said it was the best cake they have ever had at a wedding. The cake was so moist and the peaches and cream filling was so wonderful~ vanilla pudding with real peach slices! It was beautiful and delicious. I can't wait to eat the top part on our anniversary!
