Denise Adkins Weddings

Denise was absoulutely wonderful! From the first conversation I had with her I knew she was perfect, warm, and would make our day special. The way that she talks is very warm and loving, like she was an aunt or family member, she made the whole exeperience fun and easy. She was more than happy to help with writing and people have commented how personal and sweet our vows were. I would recommend Denise to everyone! Denise was so wonderful to work with. She has such a warm personality, and really wanted to help us personalize our wedding ceremony. We wanted a non-denominational ceremony, and she was able to provide us with lots of different wording ideas. We picked bits and pieces and put them together, and she filled in the gaps. We planned a destination wedding, but we were able to meet with her once during the planning stages when we visited California. But she made the planning very easy and was open to lots of back-and-forth in editing the ceremony wording. She also has a very calming presence and truly seems to enjoy what she does. It was so special to have a wedding ceremony tailored to our relationship and what we wish for in our marriage. I really am glad we found Denise!

Denise was amazing. Great attitude, amazing personality, great nature, and joy for the celebration of love. Overall we are very pleased, she presented us with plenty of options and we had fun picking out our vows together. We were planning our wedding in a rush and this was no problem for her, our only regret is not getting to know her more beforehand.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Denise! She is so warm and friendly and now could not imagine anyone else as our officiant. She was so helpful and we could feel that she loves what she does! Such a pleasure working with her!

Denise has a great combination of professionalism and warmth in the services she offers. She was very helpful in helping us complete our vows and preparing for the wedding. We had run out of time and needed some extra ideas for performing a sand ceremony. Denise provided some examples and offered advice in the order of events for the wedding. We had left some blanks in the ceremony and she very professionally filled them in with a style that totally suited us and our ceremony. She handled all the little details that we missed, did not know about or just didn’t have time to do on the wedding day. Little things like tracking down the best man and maid of honor to have the license signed and then sending in all the paper work make all the difference when your wedding day is rushing by.

There is something about Denise that made us feel very comfortable and at home with her the first time we met her. She is very warm and friendly, and injects just the right amount of humor into everything. Having not been to many weddings ourselves, we also found it very helpful when she let us know of all the legal things we needed to take care of prior to and after the wedding. Denise also provided us with scores of passages and ceremony ideas that we could mix and match to our pleasure, and with her help we were able to craft a ceremony that we felt represented us pretty well. Only partway through the wedding rehearsal, one of our groomsmen told us that he felt we made the right decision in selecting our officiant. A couple of weeks after the wedding now, we still feel the same way.

Denise was awesome from the moment we met her. My DH and I are not religious and had no idea who we would have perform our ceremony. We used the list of recommended vendors from the Plaza and interviewed 3 potential officiants. Denise was the 2nd person we met and as soon as she left, my DH said thats it she is performing our ceremony. He loved her and so did I. She is very down to earth and so willing to help. We had no idea what we wanted incorporated into our ceremony but she was able to point out several things we might want to include. During our interview with her, she made a point of getting to really know about each of us, our backgrounds and how we met. She was so enthusiastic from the word GO. She sent me lots of different versions of ceremony readings she had done and asked us to pick what we liked. After picking what we liked, she put it all together so that it flowed. She loved it. She it was incredible the wording that we had come up with. During the ceremony she was very professional and clear which was a big thing for my mom. We wanted to ensure that people in the back would be able to hear what was going on. Denise had awesome communication. If you emailed her she would respond within a few hours and always made sure that she answered any questions. She wanted to make sure that every aspect of the wedding went smoothly not just the ceremony. Her charges were VERY reasonable and I thought she was worth every penny. She is located in Carmel. I'm not sure if she travels but if you need someone, I would HIGHLY recommend her. Tell her Erica & Ryan sent you.
