A great salon in 3 different locations in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Offers great hairstylists and makeup artists, along with a full service spa! Great for a relaxing trip to the spa before the wedding and a great place to get your hair and makeup done.

Me and all of my Bridesmaid got our hair done at Design 1. Every single one of us loved our up-dos. I would highly recommend them. They do an amazing job, and the salon itself is very cool.

I went to Design 1 for my wedding day hair and make-up. I also did a trial run a few weeks before the wedding with the salon. I loved my wedding day look. It was exactly what I wanted and not overpriced. I received so many compliments on my hair and make-up. Both did very well throughout the day. The make-up lasted and my hair remained smooth. I really wanted to wear my hair down for my wedding, but was nervous about it becoming frizzy with the unpredictable MI summer weather (it's naturally curly). My stylist promised me that if I wanted my hair down that it would stay frizz-free. And indeed it did!
