My husband and I were living in London when we were planning our wedding but we made sure to stop by Desires by Mikolay when in New York so that we could purchase my wedding day jewelry and all our bridesmaid's gifts. As always Scott and his team provided us with top service and my girl's and I sparkled on the day. No matter where in the world we're living, Desires by Mikolay is our jeweler. Oh, and I love the website!
We had a wonderful experience at Desires by Mikolay. Scott Mikolay is so knowledgeable and really took the time to explain the different characteristics of a diamond. We both learned so much and it really made us feel comfortable in choosing the right one. Everyone was extremely attentive in following up and making sure they were finding the perfect setting. It was great to see so many beautiful settings in the store and to customize the ring to fit my needs. We look forward to designing our wedding bands at Desires by Mikolay.
Desires by Mikolay offered an impecible level of service. From the moment you walk in the door, the level of personal attention and customer service is excellent. From purchasing my engagement ring, to purchasing his and her wedding bands, to finding the perfect bridesmaid gifts, they took care of every detail, so that everything went smoothly and came in on time! My husband and I have been customers of Desires by Mikolay for several years now. It is a beautiful store with high quality and beautiful items. Not only that, but we are fortunate to be able to work with the most wonderful sales associate, Sarah Mass. She is attentive and professional at all times. When my son was born almost 2 years ago my husband knew immediately where to go for a special gift for me. He choose a beautiful necklace that has both the lotus flower inscribed in it, signify new beginnings, as well as a sapphire, my son’s birthstone. It is perfect and I get ton of compliments on it. When I was undergoing some medical treatments I also purchased a different necklace; it was gold pendant on a turquoise beaded chain. The turquoise indicates healing. I love that the store carries all different types of jewelry. I would never buy jewelry elsewhere!

About Scott Mikolay
Scott Mikolay believes that jewelry is art, a way to creatively express yourself. Part of a family of jewelers, he apprenticed in the profession from the age of ten. He has always felt called to create rare and distinctively fine jewelry.
In 2004, Scott Mikolay founded Desires by Mikolay in Chappaqua, New York. Success came quickly as word of his innovative custom designs spread. While hosting a broad range of designer lines in his flagship store, he decided to explore expanding his own designs as the demand grew.
Scott Mikolay has launched his exclusive line of jewelry. Mikolay draws his inspiration from the time of the Tudors, where statement pieces were part of everyday court life. Jewelry adornment was used as a way to designate your position in society. The romanticism of the time translates easily into his Crown and Boleyn collections. Sensitive to a modern woman's lifestyle, he has created streamlined statement jewelry that is easily worn and displayed. Each piece is striking, powerful, and distinctive. Custom Designs
Scott Mikolay offers full custom designs. Commemorating important events with jewelry is always an exciting decision. Mikolay does not merely create jewelry; he tells a story with his work that conveys deep meaning. It is a declaration of love and of beauty.
Combining skill in both design and execution, Mikolay creates pieces that adhere to the highest standards of workmanship and quality. Creating a custom design is a unique testament to your individuality. The design process is friendly and easy to navigate.
Mikolay uses both CAD/CAM design as well as handcrafting pieces. When meeting with his clients, Mikolay ascertains the client's personal taste and overall design ideas. After the initial meeting a rendering is produced for customer approval. At that point, as well as throughout the design process, the client has the opportunity to make adjustments. Mikolay and his design team work with the client to select the stones, metals, finish, and any special techniques. The finished piece is a unique heirloom forever to be treasured.
