Yvette is an awesome photographer. She is very artistic and creative in not only capturing the perfect shot, but also putting them all together. I got my wedding book and have been so happy and proud to show it off, and I get so many complement on how beautiful it is.

I am so pleased we chose Destiny Photos as our wedding photographer. Since it was a second wedding for both of us, we didn't need all the photo shots that are standard in a wedding package. Yvette was very accommodating and got all the shots (plus many, many more) we asked for. She is very professional and was absolutely wonderful to work with. Her photos are outstanding and we love the special effects she added to our pictures. I highly recommend her and will definitely contact her for any future photography requirements.

FIVE STARS in every category! Quality of Service, Responsiveness, Professionalism, Value for Cost & Felxibility were all exceptional and highly recommended. Destiny photos did a wonderful job on my bridal portraits and Engagement pictures! And they did it for a very reasonable price! The photographer was fun also which really helped us relax during the photos shoot.

There just aren't enough stars to rate Yvette! She captured all my wedding memories so perfectly and creatively! I have gotten so many compliments on her concepts and talent. Plus, I think the pictures turned out wonderful because she is very good at making everyone feel comfortable. I know that was the case with me anyway! Her passion for photography is obvious in every photo and every shoot. Her energy is boundless and infectious. She is truly one-of-a-kind, and I'm honored to refer her every chance I get. I knwo I'll look at my wedding pictures and be filled with joy for years to come. I'm excited to have her capture all my "big moments" to come!

Yvette was very attentive and professional in finding the right moments to take a picture. She also helped with keeping the stress levels down when I was full of anxiety and not sure if I had the look for pictures. I wanted to be natural and at ease and she helped me attain that for pictures. She has a very calm and focused approach and didn't miss a beat. The only thing I would highly recommend is to plan for at least 2 hours before the wedding to take most of the pictures.

Yvette captured the most important moment of my life and I am absolutely confident that no one could have done it better. I usually think bridal portraits are so predictable and cheesy, but Yvette took my bridal portraits and I loved the results;The unexpected photos she took were so captivating and even the posed photographs were so natural and classy. Yvette also photographed my wedding and I cannot praise her enough. The day went so fast and the pictures I have are priceless. The pictures captured laughter, joy,timidness, love, and union; She was there for each significant moment. Her personality is so magnetic and everyone loved her, especially the kids! I cherish the photos she took because they are MY greatest moments from HER perspective and it was absolutely beautiful. I am proud to recommend her to photograph any moment with any meaning!!!!!!

Hello, my name is Yvette Richardson, my father is Russell, my sister, Julie, and my brother is Russell Richardson Jr. We are a team of photographers and assistants. I have been shooting photos since 110 was popular. My passion for photography came from watching my dad take pictures as I was growing up. I remember the first time I fell in love with capturing emotion... my niece was two years old (now 14), and our outside cat jumped on the porch next to her. At that moment her eyes lit up and she exclaimed, "meow" with a wide mouth and eyes. I will never forget it because I had my camera with me and captured it at precisely that moment. We begged and pleaded for little Gabby to say meow again, but she never did. Capturing emotion, expressions, and every detail of your wedding is what I do best.

I am driven toward photography as a hobby and freelance mostly through references. My first wedding was in 2000 and I have shot several since then primarily by word-of-mouth advertising. Destiny Photos was created in January 2008.

We are located in the North East Dallas area and in the Canton, TX area. We also travel for an additional fee.

We offer services for weddings, engagement photos, and bridal shots. All photographs are shot in large format and RAW with high resolution. Images are enhanced with vivid color, photoshopped to enhance beauty and improve skin tones, and some pictures are selected for black and white, blur effects, and selective coloring.

What primary photographic style do you identify with?

What do your packages include?

Albums, Custom Graphic Design, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Prints, Proof CD of All Images

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

I use Photoshop CS3 and offer extra enhancing techniques to the photos which include: vivid color saturation, sepia toning, black and white, hand-coloring (selective color), blemish reduction, adjust for smoother skin, balance skin tones, and background blur effects.

Is your media preference film or digital?

All photos are taken with digital SLR cameras.

How many photographers do you work with?

I work with one extra photographer (my father) and an assistant (my brother).

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes. I shoot at every event.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

So far I have never booked two weddings in one weekend and not sure that I would ever shoot two weddings in one day. I'm a highly energetic photographer, but still need a good nap after a wedding. ;-)

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes I do. However, if I cannot be replaced or my replacement photographer cannot make the wedding in part due to a fire or other casualty, acts of God or nature or terror, or other cause beyond the control of the parties or due to an illness or injury, then Destiny Photos will return all fees to the Client(s) but shall have no further liability with respect to this Agreement.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I shoot with a Nikon D300 12.3mg camera, backup lenses, batteries, and lighting equipment for the professional shots.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes. I bring two sets of everything; cameras, lenses, batteries, flashes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

Each package that I offer is built with hours and you can add additional hours to the package if necessary or upgrade to a package with more hours.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

My breaks are before and after a wedding. I only stop to use the ladies room, eat a quick power bar, or drink some water. I find that once a wedding day begins, its pretty much non-stop - that's what I'm getting paid for.

Do you charge for travel?

If it is beyond 50 miles, I charge $2.50 per each additional mile. If it is beyond travel by car, please contact me directly for pricing.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

The Raw images will be available for the bride and groom only, 24-48 hours after the wedding. They will be completely ready for the bride, groom, family, and friends(with airbrushing and photo enhancement) 10-14 days after the wedding.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

The initial proofs will be available online in a password protected gallery.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

The clients (bride and groom) will receive a copyright release from Destiny Photos in order to reprint their photographs at any lab. They must understand that printers vary in their color settings and beyond Destiny Photos' lab, we cannot guarantee customer satisfaction on prints.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes. The bride and groom would need to sign a release to allow their images to be published. However, the entire wedding is kept private. Only a selected few may be published on my website only.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Yes, a DVD with high-resolution images will be included with the Preferred or Honeymoon package. Downloads are available for the Simplistic package and they are a part of the more advanced wedding packages. See "Wedding Packages" on my business site.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes, they will be available with an online password protected gallery. If the bride/groom decide to have engagement photos and/or bridals taken with me in addition to their wedding, then they will receive guest cards (postcard size) with their engagement photos or bridals and a password for the guests to access the gallery. It makes it easy on the newly-weds, as they don't have to constantly tell friends and relatives how to find the images from the wedding.

What kind of albums do you offer?

I offer an array of covers, styles, and pages from Leather to Leatherette, die-cut, transparent, and various colors. All pages are continuous binding with thick, textured, or metalic paper.

When will the client get the final album?

After the photo selection process (at the end of the 10-14 days), the album order will be placed. It will take approximately 6-8 weeks for the book to be delivered.

Additional Advice

Interview several photographers before you choose who you will trust to capture your wedding day memories. Look through their images and feel comfortable with their style. Anyone can hold a camera, but not everyone can capture it through your eyes. There are many awesome photographers out there. Look for creativity, comfort, professionalism, courtesy, and for services within your budget.
