Edson was FABULOUS! I can't say enough about him and his work. We were on a strict budget but I wanted to spend more on the pictures as that was the most important thing to me. He worked with us to stay within our budget and still get what we wanted. He is far more reasonably priced compared to other photographers we researched. My husband wasn't sold on having a photographer at our wedding to begin with. He does not like having his picture taken so I had to REALLY talk him into this but he did it for me... or so we thought at the time. The end result was SO amazing that even my husband was grateful. Edson knew this in advance and worked like he wasn't even in the room. It was amazing. We were so thankful he captured so many important moments that we missed while being attentive to all our guests. I am so grateful to have been given the recommendation from a co-worker because his work is truly amazing. He is extremely artistic and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend him and I continuously am recommending him to anyone looking for a good photographer. After all, it's ultimately word of mouth that gets the customers in the door. Everyone compliments our pictures and how amazing they are. He even met us closer to where we live since he was based in Boston and we were unable to travel that far. Very accommodating! He has that eye that gets you the shots you never dreamed you would have and he puts a creative touch to them. Work of art to say the least. Edson was an amazing photographer. I would recommend him to anyone. Not only did he do our wedding but we also had him do our engagement session. He is a pleasure to work with and his pictures are beautiful. Everyone has just raved about them. He was very discrete at our wedding and we hardly noticed him. He is also willing to try different shots and angles, therefore his pictures are unique. He was also very timely with getting our pictures to us. I was able to view my pictures online 4 days after the wedding. I had everything from my package within a month, except for the wedding album which took longer because it was so hard for us to pick out only 40 pictures. Like I said Edson was great and was worth every penny.

Edson shot my wedding in Chicago at the Drake hotel. You'll know in two minutes of speaking with him that he's the guy. He was self sufficient, perfectly professional and had the magic ability to appear whenever something beautiful was going down. His rapport with my guests was that of a family friend and he easily outclassed every vendor we hired.

I couldn't be happier with his service, until I received the photos. "Wow.. that's us!" Blown away. The photos were better than any wedding photos we've ever seen. Way better. He caught my best man as he came out of a backspin and timed the shot so perfectly... That's a moment I have now. I can't tell you what that's worth and he caught so many of them. You don't want a photographer who's slow on the trigger. Once he misses, it's gone. I'm so grateful that Ed was able to spot those moments in time to capture them.

The posed pictures were great too! Edson had a lot of original ideas and turned our suggestions into magazine covers. Yes. He took our suggestions. I know! We're always receiving compliments on our wedding photos especially the "Michigan Avenue Dip" which is the coolest picture I have ever been a part of.

Edson was a pleasure to work with as well as extremely professional. His pictures were beyond fabulous and came out better than I had ever imagined! Every person that has looked at our pictures can not believe how amazing they are.

Edson is not only a great photographer but a real professional. He did an initial consultation with my Mother and I and showed us many examples of his work. He responded quickly by email to all my questions and last minute changes and was happy to comply with my requests. I haven't seen the photos yet but I have complete confidence that they will be beautiful.

As an added bonus, he speaks Portuguese and was able to communicate with my Brazilian husband's family.

Edson Dias is a phenomenal person and photographer. From our first meeting, my husband and I got an excellent vibe from him. He is personable, laidback and yet very prefessional. The day of the event, Edson arrived early and was extremely receptive to a list of must-have shots that I supplied. His assistant was also kind and attentive. Edson took his time and was extremely patient and unobtrusive to our guests. He even stayed longer than his contracted time to capture every moment. When I saw our pictures online, they took my breath away. They were better than I had ever imagined they could be! Because of Edson, we have the most beautiful formal and candid shots of the most precious people in our lives - moments we will never forget! I cannot express enough about how thoroughly impressed we are with Edson and his amazing photography skills - and people skills. Edson is BEYOND professional and kind. He made every effort possible to ensure that our day is memorable. This was not out of the ordinary because we have witnessed him behave the same way at the other weddings we attended that he was at. We had a wedding on a budget but splurged for Edson because we loved what we saw on his website. He worked with our budget to give us the best services possible and we do not regret the money spent -- in fact, looking back we would have paid DOUBLE. We have wedding pictures that are beyond what we dreamed of.. and we have Edson to thank for that!

Finding wedding vendors is extremely difficult, however, having a same-sex wedding increases the stress with vendor searching times ten! You want to make sure that the vendor you are working with is comfortable with the situation before you book them. The last thing you need is a judgemental vendor! We had witnessed Edson's photography during friend's weddings but were unsure if we could afford the cost. After speaking with Edson, the decision became easy - no matter the cost, we were going to book him IMMEDIATELY. Not only was Edson willing to work with us on how to make our wedding photography affordable to our budget but he also made us feel extremely comfortable and was excited to document a same-sex wedding. Finding someone who cares as much about your wedding as you do is not very easy.. plus he and even drove down to the Cape during the summer on a Friday evening! We instantly felt comfortable with having him around and our families felt the same way - which was extremely important to us, since most people (including us!) had never been to same-sex wedding. We were curious how the photographs would come out, since we felt like we barely saw him outside of the formal shots, and were pleasantly suprised. Edson caught so many memories we would have missed from being wrapped up in the moment and also caught the moments we never want to forget. Every time someone we know begins to plan a wedding Edson's name is the first thing we say. As our family grows, we plan to continue to stay in touch with Edson and continue to allow him to document the most precious memories we never want to forget.

Edson was professional at all times and was very quick to respond by email and phone. I never had a problem getting in touch with him if needed and his work is amazing. We were looking for someone who would add an artistic touch to our photos as well someone who would capture our entire day on film - Edson did both of these exceptionally well. I did not get a videographer and I do not regret it one bit. Every moment that really stood out to me at the wedding was captured in the photos Edson took. Everyone who sees our pictures loves them!
