Digital Video Design
DO NOT HIRE! As some other reviews say, Jeff was very charming at our initial phone call. He promised he would send me a demo video of his work, then when a month and a half went by and we did not receive it, I sent him an e-mail and he replied "every time I send out a demo video, the bride doesn't hire me, and therefore, find another videographer!" So, as angry was I was about this, I was still persistant because his price was right and after many e-mails, he finally agreed to send me out one. After watching the video, I sent him an e-mail telling him we wanted to hire him. He then responded telling me that after all this, he had another bride interested with the same wedding day as me and he was going to do her wedding instead! I was so angry because HE put me through the run around about sending me the video and had he sent it earlier, we would have already hired him. Then he "felt bad" and told me he would do our wedding and have someone else on his team do the other bride's. So, after sending him a deposit and signing a contract, months went by. As the wedding got closer, I wanted to meet with Jeff. I called his business and cell and e-mailed. No reply to e-mails, cell's voicemail box was FULL and the business line was NO LONGER IN USE! At this point, I thought we were being scammed! I did everything I could to get in touch with Jeff. He finally called me and told me that he and his wife were switching phone providers and that's why his phone was out. Then he said his voicemail was full because his wife calls him too much and leaves him voicemails all the time. I didn't believe any of that and told him it was bad business to have his mailboxes full and the line down. This had me VERY stressed out! He was the only vendor that put me through this. So, we set up an appointment to meet with him, and when we did, it was at his home in Woburn. He seemed very unorganized and insisted that every video we were attempting to watch "should be the one from your venue" Eventually he found it, and it was alright. I figured we were getting what we paid for with this guy.
So the day of our wedding, he showed up (which at this point with him we had no idea!) I paid an extra $250 to have an additional camera during our ceremony, which wasn't worth the $$, and the actual video itself is crap. He talked WAY too much to our guests, sat down and chit chatted durning our cocktail hour and didn't get any of that on tape, and knocked a drink out of my dad's hand and broke a glass.
After our wedding, I read awful reviews about him and was really worried that we were never going to receive our video. It took about 3 months to get it, but that was only because my husband and I were really persistant about it and had to threaten legal action. He kept telling us it wasn't finished because of sound glitches during the ceremony.
Upon receiving the video and our photographs back (he does a "growing up" montage and a honeymoon montage) we were VERY disappointed. There were PLENTY of sound glitches during the ceremony on the DVD. It was very low quality, unlike what was promised. The montages were terrible. He didn't scan any of the photos, he took still pictures of them from his video camera instead and most of them you can't see because they're too light (can't see facial features, just head outlines) You can hear him talking during the video, he missed the last song of the night, and most shots during the dancing are extremely close up.
All in all, this guy stressed me out so much, which is the last thing a bride needs. You would think with all the red flags we had in the beginning with him, we would, and in hind sight, should have gone with someone else. With the money we did spend on him, we could have hired someone else that would have been more professional and would have done a much better job.
The following is what I posted immediately after our wedding when I gave Jeff 5 stars for everything, but you should read the last part too before hiring this guy:
I recommend Jeff to anyone.
He was very easy to work with and although he was working very hard all day, we barely knew he was there. He was very inobtrusive, which is just what we wanted. We were nervous about having a video, that it would be in our faces as we said our vows but THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALL. Jeff was very professional throughout the planning and during the wedding. We are very excited to see the final product.
In addition, he was very reasonably priced, especially considering he was there for at least 8 hours (maybe more taking outside shots!)
Ok, so now here I am 4 months later with no video in hand and not one of my emails or phonecalls returned since the wedding day. I am really nervous that we may not get our video at all, which is particularly upsetting as my elderly grandmother who was not able to make it from England for the wedding paid for it so that she could feel a part of our day. I hope that at some point I will get my video and that it will live up to my earlier high expectations - the work he showed us when we met with him looked awesome and he was great to work with up until I wanted my video...
STAY AWAY!!! Jeff was completely unprofessional, rude, and my biggest wedding planning regret! He is very charming and friendly when you first meet him...but beware he very seldom replied to my emails and voice messages once I gave him the deposit. During our reception, he was very rude and constantly took a break and even had the audacity to yell at me (the bride) and my guests when we asked him to get back to work! It is no wonder that the digital video design has an F rating according to the better business bureau.
Brides-don’t be fooled by his low price...it isn't worth the poor video quality, stress, and unprofessional behavior on your special day!

I could not write enough to let anyone know how horrible this company was to my husband and myself. We were promised multiple things, that simply did no happen.
1. Two videographers (we paid for 2 dinners) only one showed up.
2. We were promised that they would be in touch the week before the wedding, and there was no confirmation call. I was scrambling the day of the wedding to contact them, to assure someone was coming.
3. In our contract, we have them starting at my mother's house, where I was getting ready. They were to videotape some of this. The one videographer said he could not do this, and would just meet me at the church.
4. The videographer left 2 hours prior to the end of the reception. We wanted him to videotape our last dance, as we did not book the photogrpaher for the full time.
5. On our contract we were to get a "tailored video". When I called to find out about when we woudl receive the edited video, I was told that it would be an extra charge. When I inquired about the "tailored video", the owner said that tailored meant he adds music to it. WHAT???
I should have looked at the better business bureau...as there were multiple other patrons who were unhappy.
