Dinkel's Bakery

Dinkel's is on the same street as my wedding venue and I loved the idea of keeping lots of the wedding vendors local. We actually live in the area too.

My fiance and I easily set up a free cake tasting and everything was prompt that day. We were able to pre-select a few flavors of cake and frosting. There was a charge if you wanted more. The price was right and the cake was good so a few weeks later I returned to place an order for a simple two-tiered, buttercream white cake to feed 45 people. I gave the designer a photo to work from but I was pretty low key about the final product. With delivery it was $225, right in my budget.

I was very pleased with the cake when I saw it on my wedding day in May 2012. It looked very close to the photo I had provided and tasted great. I'd recommend Dinkel's for an affordable cake from a bakery that's been around forever.

The best wedding cake EVER! We tried many bakeries and Dinkel's was by far the best tasting and it looked beautiful! We had so many compliments from our guests on the taste and decor. Not only was it the best tasting, it was also the best priced. We could not have been happier with our cake!

Dinkels is the best TASTING cake. But I would not recommened it for a wedding. The tasting was given by a very young and not very bright girl. She showed us plenty of pictures but had a hard time communicating even on the most basic level. She wrote down our info on the cake description of our choices...but when we went to order she never kept it. They made us come in to order and come in to pay instead of just organizing by phone after our initial consult. The cake ribbon was a grey like appearence which we wanted...but the portion that was supposed to be white also looked a dull grey. Not pretty to look at all, but yummy to eat. Very dissapointed in their specail occasion services.

Overall, we were very happy with our wedding cake. We also ordered cupcakes which our guests really enjoyed. The only problem was the I showed them a photos of the type of flowers I wanted only on the top of the cake and put them all over the cake.
