The level of service and quality of the venue were wonderful. The schedule for our payments were very flexible and our budget afforded us much more than we expected. we received rave revues on every thing from the foyer to the banquet room. I will definitely recommend Di' Nolfo's of Homer Glen to anyone looking to hold an event.

Cheryl and Rich were excellent along with the rest of the staff! Great to work with and didn't make us feel like a number. The food was excellent, the dance floor is awesome. They were great in working with us and were very professional. If you order the late night pizzas make sure you make it clear to them what time you want them brought out. Ours were brought out right after dessert (even though they were suppose to come out later) and we had to have them reserve them. We will be telling all our friends and family to consider them for their venue.

My only comment would be that there was questions as to the availability of entrees at some tables. One table was told there was no more filets and my table was told there was no more chicken.

Dinolfo's of Homer Glen was a beautiful venue for my March 23, 2013 wedding. The service was great from the day we signed the contract to my wedding day. Cheryl was attentive and helpful with every single one of my questions. The food was pretty good, I got rave reviews about the chicken. The fake cake we used was beautiful and the ceremony room and reception room were absolutely breath-taking. I didn't have really any complaints from my guests, I just wished the servers weren't SO quick to clear plates, almost prematurely...I didn't get a piece of my wedding cake. Very small compared to some disasters I've heard from other people's weddings. I would recommend Dinolfos to anyone looking for a good value and a beautiful location. The fact that they don't charge service charges or gratuity really helped when making my decision, taxes only. There was an issue with the shuttle bus situation but that was the hotel's fault, not Dinolfo's. Thank you again Dinolfo's for an amazing wedding day/night.

Overall we had a great experience, DiNolfo's was very flexible and let us make adjustments on the wedding until the weekend before the wedding. The food was great and atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. Great value as well, I would highly suggest using Dinolfo's if you want a beautiful and memorable day without paying and arm and leg.

FANTASTIC!!! DiNolfo's in Homer Glen is a phenomenal reception venue. It is gorgeous inside and priced competitively with venues that are nowhere near as nice (in many aspects). Even more importantly, the staff is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We appreciated being able to stop by without an appointment to ask questions and check out the venue.
The service for dinner was quick and the food was delicious. Do not shy away from DiNolfo's just because they do not offer a food tasting. As they pointed out to us, it is different to prepare/serve food for 10 compared to 100. We received compliments from numerous guests about all aspects of the reception and are extremely pleased. We had our ceremony in the chapel and our reception in the Cypress room. The rooms were absolutely beautiful! We received many compliments on the Cypress room from our family and friends. We found everyone at DiNolfo's to be very pleasant to work with. They answered any questions we had and helped make us feel at ease. They helped make our wedding day run smoothly. It is a day we will always remember!

Working with DiNolfo's was absolutely amazing. The venue is beautiful, service is fantastic! They were willing to bend over backwards to make my wedding everything I wanted. Everyone was commenting on how delicous the food was! It is a very nice place, and for everything we got I felt the priceing was very fair. Well worth every penny. The only negative was I felt their service prices were a bit extreme. If you wanted them to put lights on the stair railing, it would be $150...but if you are willing to put in the time and use your own lights it's free- so that is what we did.
I looked at a lot of places but knew I wanted my reception at DiNolfo's in Homer Glen. They decorate for the winter as well so if you are getting married during that time you will enjoy those extra decoratons. The venue is so beautiful you don't even need to add to it if you don't want to.

We recently got married and used Dinolfos Banquets in Homer Glen for our ceremony and reception. We had a lot of guests coming from out of town so having it all in one place was one of our prioritizes. Dinolfos is absolutely beautiful. They have two chapel options and a handful of banquet rooms. This building is beautiful no matter what time of year your wedding is. They are willing to work with you in many different ways. They were very helpful with their opinions and options. The bridal suite and grooms bar both came in handy that day. When looking I found that all the banquet halls were the same. The carpets and walls were outdated, but Dinolfos is updated and looks lovely. Our guests raved on how beautiful everything looked and how good the food was. When I go to a wedding I expect the food not to be good, because it never is. Dinolfos food is good. They do not do taste testing, but it turned out wonderful. The one thing that I did not like is that there is no assigned person to you. So we worked with a couple different people and there was a couple small commutation problems. Overall, everything turned out great. Thank you for helping us make our wedding day beautiful.

We had our reception in the Oak Room. The set up and decor were elegant and inviting. The uplighting provided additional elegance. The wait staff was extremely professional and attentive. The meal was excellent. We received numerous compliments on the entire event.
The only thing I was disappointed in was the presentation of the meal/food. We had selected the chicken and filet dinner. While the food was excellent, the entree was served on a plate too small for the quantity of food. Presentation here could have been much better and much more elegant with just some minor adjustments. Perhaps vegetables in a separate bowl and a larger plate...
Other than the entree presentation, we were extremely satisfied the all other facets of the event that night. The number of compliments post-event indicate our guests were extremely impressed with both the venue and the service. I would highly recommend DiNolfo's of Homer Glen to couples planning their reception. Many thanks for all your hard work to make our day very special!

Overall, we were very happy with DiNolfo's. They responded to questions very quickly and the staff was friendly, but a couple seem to be more informed than others. It's hit or miss depending on who answers the phone. Rich was a pleasure to work with. There were at least 2 other weddings the same night we had ours so you could hear the music in the adjacent room during dinner. Some guests said they couldn't see any signs in the lobby directing them to our room so they walked into the wrong room initially. It wasn't too bothersome, but if you are looking for a private reception this may not be the best choice. They did an excellent job with decorating. We got so many compliments on the decor. If you book during certain times, chair covers are free. Don't be afraid to ask. The food portions were enormous. One thing I wish they explained better when we signed the contract was that we had to use them for our monogram and lighting. We could not use an outside company for those things. Also, the DJ company I wanted to use was not allowed to work there for some reason. I don't know why. So double check vendors.

The venue was Gorgeous! The chapel was on the smaller side and even when the other wedding was finished they told us we couldn't use their extra chairs so a lot of my guests were standing in the hall. The staff there was hit or miss depending on who you spoke with. Some were very flexible while others were not. The food was good. Overall it was a fairly positive experience. Some of the extras were pretty pricey but I feel that would be the case in a lot of venues.

My husband and I had our absolute dream wedding here on 9/21/12...The staff at Dinolfos made everything easy on us from day one, and on the day of the event we had nothing to worry about and everything was set up just as we had pictured. It is a negative that you cannot try the food but I will say the food was great! The appetizers were a huge hit! I had sooo many compliments from my guests on the beauty of the room and the taste of the food. I would not change a thing about our wedding day, thank you Dinolfo's for making it so beautiful!

I loved my Venue. I had so many compliments on my room, lighting, and ceremony which also took Place at Venue. If I had any questions they were there and friendly. They worked with you on everything. And it was decent price compared to the other Venues we looked into. I wouldn't of changed my location for nothing. Thanks to everyone at DiNoflos Banguet you really made my wedding day prefect. :)

I was extremely disappointed with the service that my bridal party received during the dinner hour. Our server was rude and unaccommodating. My wedding party had to continuously get up to get their own drinks and anything additional that they required throughout the night. Upon signing the contract, I was under the impression that our head table would be 'catered' too throughout the dinner hour. We basically served ourselves, and therefore, we did not have a peaceful dinner. Furthermore, I was treated rudely several times on the telephone with one of your female employees, in particular. She was pushy and unhelpful during our brief conversations. At one point I was told by this person that "she had to go b/c the doorbell was ringing" and then she hung up the phone. Not a pleasurable experience all around.

DiNolfo's Banquets appreciates your comments. I am sorry that you were unhappy with the beverage services during dinner. Typically the bar is closed during dinner, however, unlimited wine service is available during that time, and there is the sports pub in the lobby.
In order to allow for better beverage access when the bar is open guests are welcome to order a cocktail directly from the bartender. DiNolfo's does not have waitress service for drinks. We believe that it is quicker and much more efficient for your guests to access the bar directly.
Finally, DiNolfo's takes customer service very seriously. We strive to offer the very best service and attention to details. We always have an owner available to immediately address any concerns that you might have.

Great venue. The place is unbelievable. My wedding was beautiful and came out great. I must admit that even I was blown away. My guests showered us with compliments. Service was on point and can't be beat. Going anywhere else would have been a huge mistake. There however, were a few issues with the customer service. I felt there was no flexibility by the hall. They made simple things hard. Making small substations difficult and are very set when it comes to meals and linen. I was also shocked at their deposit policy. I had $5,000 on deposit and they still called me like debt collectors for the $2,000 they felt was mandatory. Apparently $5,000 isn't enough deposit on a $14,0000 wedding?! The women who called me everyday about the $2,000. Threatened to cancel my wedding if I didn't come up with the $2,000?! I laughed in her face and told her how sad she was. The policy is pretty pathetic. Amazing venue just has some issues in the way they treat customers. Rich is a great guy to work with and the only reason I stuck with the place. They guy was awesome. The lady who calls people hounding them for more deposit money needs to be demoted to parking lot sweeper/plant water.




I had my wedding at Dinolfo's Home Glen in the Cypress Room! It was exceptional! The Cypress Room was GORGEOUS! The staff was so polite, professional and helpful during the entire time I was planning this wedding out of state! As a bride you always have worries but Dinolfo's was exceptional. The plated food was AMAZING, great quality of food and huge portions. Everyone loved the appetizers!!!! The food came out all at once! If someone wanted a veggie dish..no problem! THE STAFF MADE IT WORK! AMAZING! The bartenders were WONDERFUL! These men knew everyones drink order after they got there first drink! People after the wedding were raving about the service, the quality of food, how clean the place is and the staff! The sweet table was HUGE! It was gorgeous! Everyone accommodated us with open arms! Overall Dinolfo's did EXCEPTIONAL WORK!

Stevie D,Opeation DJ Getdown, recommened by DiNolfo's, definetly made the wedding a hit, and our photographer Eric fro Essence was hands down the best photographer I have ever seen or used! The prices were fair.. however it is not mentioned that the prices inclulde tip.. found out at the end after doing research (This should be noted). There were a few things promised such as the christmas lights were going to be up.. (they weren't.) but none-the-less.. fantastic. The staircases and private bridal suite are a must & the outside area was perfect for all those smokers

If I could've had my reception at another location, I truly would've. In the beginning, everyone was so pleasant and responsive; however, as the time went on and I asked more questions, the less responsive they were. I will say Vince was absolutely disrespectful to me and a customer should not be treated in the manner he treated me. After my husband and I were misinformed or rather not provided with enough specifics about the banquet room, I called them regarding this issue and how to best deal with it. I was informed to come in to get a floor plan to figure out how to seat all of our guests. When I came in to discuss linen specifics and get hors d'oeuvres settled, Vince came to me and said that I was “terrorizing his staff.” At that moment, I was ready to pay the remaining balance of my contract (b/c that was the guidelines of the contract) and completely take my services elsewhere. But we spent TOO MUCH money with this place to let it waste and we down to 2 wks prior to the big day. I understand it is a family business and you want to protect your family right and even wrong but disrespecting a person for no good reason is not respectably and unacceptable. It turned out that Vince agreed with me about the limited space for more than 270 guests and a photobooth and explained that the room comfortably fits 220 but can be tight for more because they must use smaller tables (so you hope folks like each other). Overall, it was pretty tight in the room but the room looked great with the floral arrangements.
You are not able to try the food prior to booking which can be good thing or not. I had half of the guests, complain about the food and others who liked it. But that will happen. They really do not have a wonderful menu selection. Their brochures and even online really only showcase the less healthy and greasy hors d'oeuvres. I would recommend for them to give guests options and provide both menus for hors d'oeuvres (expensive, least expensive, and less expensive). The nicer hors d'oeuvres you have to spend $300 for 100 pieces. My guests really enjoyed these! So they get a A+ for that.
Overall, if you're in the South Suburbs and want to keep it around the Orland area or Matteson area, then I say go with this place but otherwise shop around before settling. Our day was beautiful and great but this venue made the wedding planning process unpleasant.

We just celebrated our wedding at DiNolfo's and they made everything perfect! We booked with DiNolfo's less than 90 days before our wedding after having problems with our other reception hall. DiNolfo's was amazing! They were very accommodating for us, and everything turned out beautiful, and just what we had pictured! The food was great, and hot, and there was plenty of it! We got so many compliments on how beautiful everything looked, and how great the food was. We cannot thank Rich and Jill enough for making our reception so great! We are invited to another wedding at DiNolfo's later this year and we cannot wait to go back!

I would like to start by saying that the room (Cypress) looked absolutely amazing and we got numerous compliments on how beautiful everything looked the day of our wedding. I was a bride that did my resesarch and was sure I got the best value for the amount of money we were spending on our wedding,while also hiring quality vendors to make our day spectacular. We visited Dinolfo's in June of 2010 and fell in love with the Cypress room. At the time, they were running an amazing deal and when we got a phone call that someone else was interested and we had to make a decision, we decided the deal was too good to pass up and we immediately booked. As it turns out, there were 2 empty rooms the night of our wedding so I'm not sure how urgent it was for us to book, but either way, we were happy.
Fast forward to June of 2011 and we ended up being about 18 people short of our agreed minimum. Both my husband and I have worked in the hospitality business and I completely understand that I am accountable for the money for those 18 people. Once I knew we would be short, I immediately called to see what we could work out. There was no flexibility in how the extra money was spent. I tried to get a few pizzas thrown in or a couple uplights for the room...I mean I was paying almost $2000 to them for people they did not have to set for or serve. There was absolutely no flexibility and I was going to be required to pay for the meals, alcohol, AND the exclusive package for those imaginary 18 people. Not only that, but each time I tried to talk with them I was immedately brought back to this "amazing deal" we got and how they weren't even sure how they agreed to this deal last year. I didn't negotiate a thing in June of 2010...they presented the whole deal to me. I got over it, we of course had the money budgeted according to our minimum so we just paid it and I moved on with my excitement.
I said I wanted all 200 of my entrees made since they wouldn't substitute even a couple pizzas for all those entrees and they agreed. I told many of the close men to feel free to order a second entree from their waitress. My sister's boyfriend did and the waitress responded, "what? that's the first time I heard that!" He then politely explained that the bride told him, etc...not sure if anyone else tried, but it appeared they waitresses weren't informed and didn't know proper professionalism.
Finally, part of the exclusive package that I was super excited about was having a champagne fountain at the entrance. When I booked, it was a part of the exclusive package and we had a few conversations about this and how they just got a new one and how great it was going to be. Remember, I paid for 200 exclusive packages and had 183 guests. Amidst all the wonderful things going on, I failed to notice that there actually was no champagned fountain at all. My mom informed them, she was quicklly told that wasn't a part of the exclusive package anymore, she let the manager know it definitely was when we booked, and finally after all this back and forth they set it up after all my guests were seated for introductions and dinner. I was told by the lead waitress they would keep it up since they were late putting up. My husband and I were circulating amongst the tables during dinner and at least we were using it for a drink or two. We went back to fill our flutes up a second time and it was gone already. I surveyed my guests and not a single one even knew we had the fountain at all. This really disappointed me, but of course I wasn't going to get upset about it that night. When I called to voice my disappointment the next day, I was told they refilled it at least once (I think it holds 3-4 bottles of champagne so that was absolutely impossible) and he would have to check on when it was set up. I told him specifically that my DJ was calling me upstairs (twice) during the time the manager was trying to tell my mom it wasn't a part of my package. At any rate, i thought the least they would do would give me the $1 per person back. Nope...only half of that. I guess I should be happy I got anything out of them because of their inflexibility when it came to the cost of things to begin with.
It really saddens me that I was left with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth from my experience with Dinolfo's because they are such a good value on paper. The company is what really makes the day special and I had the best day of my life so far despite these annoyances that Dinolfo's caused. Just be prepared to take everything for exactly what it says on paper and have a beautiful backdrop for your very special day, but some of the finer details may be a bit frustrating to handle. A bit of flexibility, within reason, would go a long way for Dinolfo's and I think it would boost their customer reviews and experiences!
