Alan Dodson saved my wedding!! The day of our outdoor wedding it came a terrible storm - that was when Alan really began working his magic. He kept me updated on the weather and what it was predicted to do. I like to be in control and the weather was something that definitely couldn't be changed but Alan kept me calm and assured me that we would work around it and that everything would be fine.

While I technically had a "wedding coordinator," she ended up not doing a whole lot in the form of coordination. Alan could sense that from the beginning and so he quietly and professionally stood by ready to take the reins when she let them go. He helped in the flow of the wedding and guided me, my husband, and our wedding party of where to go and what to do.

Alan did the music for both the ceremony and reception and it couldn't have been better! He listened to our (mine and my husband's) thoughts about music, gave his suggestions, and together we developed a great playlist. No details were left unturned.

We had several people in our wedding party with difficult names to pronounce. When it was time for introductions I had no fear of someone having their name butchered because Alan was very specific in asking for the names of everyone ahead of time and he made sure that he knew exactly how to say them. There was no hesitation from his part and he did a fantastic job!

I would highly recommend Alan Dodson to anyone looking for a great DJ! He's so much more than just a DJ, he is an entertainer and he keeps the crowd engaged and everything moving along smoothly. With Alan, you dont have to worry about those awkward moments with your guests when no one knows where to go or what to do or when things just seem to come to a lull. He did an awesome job with our wedding and I honestly can't even imagine how things would have turned out with just any old DJ. Thanks Alan!!

He really is a jack of all trades! Not only was he professional and willing to meet our music needs in every way, but he was helpful when we had other wedding planning questions or needs. He's very knowledgable about the entire wedding business. He helped us find a wedding venue after two cancellations, and we are so glad he found the one we went with. Our reception turned into a party everyone said they would never forget! The music choices late in the evening were perfect for the mood! I would reccommend Alan to anyone.

Mr. Dodson was a wonderul DJ for our wedding reception. He was very personable and made the reception very personal. His games allowed people to really get to know the bride & groom well. My only complaint was that when we cut the cake, MANY people did not know what was going on, and expressed that they never heard his announce this. Therefore, many people missed this exciting part of the reception.

Also, when he asks you to make a list of songs you do/do not want, make SURE to do this. This will help tremendously!

But overall, it was a great experience. We had a wonderful reception & almost everyone has come up to us afterwards and said it was the "most fun" they'd ever had!

Alan was the most professional and helpful DJ I have ever worked with. I didn't have a wedding planner, but because he is so organized and takes the time to learn not only about us as a couple but about our day and everyone involved he helped the entire day to run smoothly. We didn't ask him to be at the rehearsal but he came anyways. It was an outdoor venue and the chances or rain were high for the wedding day, so that night we were facing to decide on a plan B. I wasn't the least bit excited about plan "B" but he provided a huge amount of support and encouragement that everything was going to be A OKAY. Sure enough.. the next day the weather forecast was wrong, and the wedding and reception were complete in great style and ease.
I can't say enough good things about Alan, but can promise if you decide to work with him, it will be the BEST decision you make!

Alan MADE my wedding a success. He was not only our DJ, but also our officiant. He paid attention to the body language of our guests and played music accordingly. We got to customize all the music. He had games for our guests to partake in, and he solved potential crisis (little kids found the send off air horns... yeah, that could have been bad.) He took charge and made the whole process of getting married run very smooth. I tell everyone, Hands down, you will not find a better DJ then Alan.

Wow! Amazing party! Alan was incredible. He met with us 4 or 5 times over several months in preparation for our wedding and reception. We had the wedding at a family property and the reception in a large tent. The attention to detail throughout the entire process was excellent. When we first called around looking for a DJ, we found a lot of different prices being quoted without any questions about what we wanted. Alan asked probably 30 questions before we discussed price at all, and frankly when he told me how much, I just about lost my breath because it was about twice what we had heard from several others. However, after meeting with him, and seeing how professional he was and he listened to what WE wanted, it was clear that he was going to be our DJ!

Not only did we spend a lot of time with him selecting special music, his love story questions and our answers added so much to the introductions and announcements throughout the evening. He was a great Emcee and made sure that everything at our wedding and reception happened at the right time. He made our day perfect! He was worth three times what it cost.

I've known Alan through the American Disc Jockey Association for about 5 years. Alan actually travels and does training programs for other wedding DJs, and I have taken his training program and got a LOT out of it! In the past year or so he has become somewhat of a mentor for me and I really value and appreciate everything he has taught me. Any bride who is hiring him should know that, in the larger wedding DJ community, he is recognized and respected as a leader.

I have personally attended three of his weddings as an assistant and at all of these events he has done a truly amazing job! He spends a lot of time with the bride and groom before the wedding planning, so that the day of, he can really personalize the event and make it fun! I've also watched him officiate one wedding and he did a wonderful job of that as well. And he has a VERY impressive knowledge of music from all decades and...
