DJ D-Mac and his team were professional, courteous, flexible, accomodating, and down right COOL. We met Kevin (DJ Nitecrawler) for drinks to discuss the vision of our wedding and he was totally on board with the atmosphere we wanted to create for our guests. Using the Basecamp project collaboration platform made the run-up to the wedding SO EASY. We submitted our playlists, exchanged questions, shared ideas/media with the greatest of ease. Not to mention they are AFFORDABLE and offer COMPETITIVE PRICING. I was very impressed with the service before the wedding day.

And then, the SHOW began. And it was PERFECT.
The microphone was a cool 1950s old school piece. The DJ was dressed professionally. He helped everything run very smoothly. To his credit, and his credit alone, the dance floor was FULL THE ENTIRE NIGHT. Well, we do have awesome friends and family who love to dance, but they had the right tunes to dance to. He had old and young, black and white, fat and thin on the floor GROOVING and ROCKING and BALLING OUT.

I would recommend these guys to anyone! ANYONE.

So, if you want to have a great wedding, and want the dance floor full all night, and don't want some cheesy band taking long breaks ruining the flow of the night. IN SUM - if you want to have a GREAT NIGHT, use these guys.

We were so thrilled with the DJ services provided for our wedding on May 11. Everyone had a great time, and a large part of that was because people were dancing for most of the night! Marc (DJ Meistro) and his associate were wonderful, and made sure everyone was having fun. He chose songs that really worked all night long.

I also appreciate how patient and responsive he was in the weeks leading up to the wedding- I must have sent him 10 one-off song requests.

Steven was fantastic. He was able to get a feel for the mood of the wedding and play the perfect song to suit the feeling. During the event everyone was dancing! He knew exactly the right song to keep people hooked. Prior to the event, he was very responsive and listened well when it came to understanding our vision for the day and the music. He offered suggestions that complimented our list while also providing honest feedback when he thought a song might not work. We were grateful for his honesty as well as expertise.

DJ Rusty B was very approachable and gave good suggestions about music selections at our first meeting. The company is very well organized. We had a fantastic time dancing at our wedding - there were always folks on the dance floor, and everyone said the music was great!

Daryle was a fantastic DJ. He is worth every penny. He met with us 6 months or so before the wedding and was very relaxed and friendly so we hired him on the spot. We love great music and dancing but are not really "into" music. We described the kind of music we generally like to listen/dance to and Daryle took it from there. His DJing was perfect because he blended songs into one another and avoided awkward waiting-for-the-next-song-to-start moments. He also blended old favorites, good top 40 (not cheesy top 40) and indie together. We had a small wedding (55 guests) and were worried that people wouldn't dance, but once Daryle started, no one wanted to sit down. He kept the dance party going. We fully and whole-heartedly recommend Daryle for your wedding.

These guys really impressed us with how they wanted to meet initially and talk over what we were lookiong for, then get a sense of our music types, and then talk about the flow of the evening. They were great at making sure we were comfortable, they played great music, and they helped us make our wedding fantastic. We are so glad we chose these guys over a band.

Rusty B was our DJ for our wedding! He did both our outdoor ceremony and our reception. I thought he did an amazing job for our outdoor ceremony and it sounded exactly like I imagined. He kept our reception going and did a great job of keeping our timeline. Thank you!

DJ D-Mac brought the house down at our recent wedding. He had the crowd dancing so hard and so long that the windows fogged up and people spilled outside gasping for air. It was an amazing time and our guests had a blast. D-Mac and associates were great to work with throughout planning, set-up and breakdown of the event. They listened to our requests and concerns, provided top quality audio equipment, and most importantly provided a killer soundtrack to our wonderful wedding day. Highly recommended!

Daryle's style, taste, and talent were evident from the first meeting, and he didn't disappoint at the wedding. He used my playlist but added his own spin and kept everyone on the dance floor all night.

We had DJ Atticus for our wedding & he was great! I wasn't the kind of bride who was going to make a list of every song I wanted played at my wedding, so I gave him a general idea of what we liked, and he ran with it. We danced all night and had a blast!

Rusty B was our DJ and he is fantastic. Things the guests complimented over the course of the night: the song selection, the mixing, the fact that he's low-key (not a lot of talking), even the volume. Our dance floor was packed the whole night. And the best part was that it was all Rusty--we provided some suggestions of stuff we like, a few must-plays and no-plays and he took it from there. People kept complimenting our awesome playlist, but the truth is that all the credit goes to Rusty! He was really low-maintenance to work with ahead of time--meet him initially, send a draft playlist, have an awesome DJ set at the wedding. We're really glad we chose to work with him.

DJ D-MAC kept the dance floor packed the whole night! He was very receptive to our music style and played awesome mixes. We heard from many of our guests that he was the best DJ, and we agree!

DJ D-Mac & Associates were amazing. Our DJ, DJ Jay Clue (Jason) in-particular made our wedding a blast! The music was AWESOME!

They were very organized and attentive and very in-tune to what kind of mood we wanted our wedding music to set from cocktail hour to dinner to late night. They happily took our requests for songs we wanted played and did an amazing job mixing it. We wanted to make sure we were going to get people up and dancing and Jason did just that. Our wedding so AWESOME! The music was absolutely perfect! We got so many compliments on the dinner music and then Jason had everyone up on the dance floor the minute dinner was over. It was GREAT! They were so wonderful to work with and so on top of things. We forgot to indicate what music we wanted played when the wedding party was introduced and Jason caught it and contacted us with some helpful suggestions. We were really just so thankful they took care of us so well. We could not have asked for a better DJ. I spent all my time on the dance floor! My mom was having a blast (even though she dances like Elaine from Seinfeld, he! he!)... even my older brother was out of his seat and I've NEVER seen him dance. All-in-all a wonderful job and we will happily recommend DJ D-Mac & Associates, and Jason in-particular, to everyone!

DJ D-MAC is absolutely incredible and brilliant at what he does! There is no other DJ that could possibly compare. He artfully mixed music that guests of all generations enjoyed. There were so many people on the dance floor it looked like a club! I had countless guests compliment his skills and remark that they had never heard such talent in a DJ. Our wedding was so much fun and I have DJ D-MAC to thank for that!

DJ Rusty B did a fantastic job with our wedding from start to finish. He was the perfect blend of professionalism and musical talent. He took our requests/suggestions and fleshed them out into a great playlist, particularly with some deep cuts that added uniqueness and interest. We had a small wedding so any DJ missteps would have emptied the dance floor completely, he did a great job of keeping people energized all night. DJ D-Mac was also highly responsive in setting up the contract and taking care of the logistics. Would work with these fellows again in a second.

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Atticus from DJ D-Mac and Associates. He was perfect for our wedding and played the best mix of songs to keep the dance floor packed. Everyone commented on how good he was and how great the music selection was that he played. He listened to us in our first meeting and carried our vision through on our wedding night! We had DJ D-Mac at our wedding last weekend and I can honestly tell you it was the best party I have ever been to and many of our guests said the same thing. He had just about every one of our 125 guests out dancing, from the youngest to the oldest and the last song of the night (Don't Stop Believing) had everyone jumping up and down and screaming, absolutely incredible. I provided a play list and the D Mac mixed the songs obviously having spent hours on the mix. He went from Kesha "unless he looks like Mick Jagger" to the Stones "Start Me Up" in a smooth mash up. I never write reviews, but I had to put this out there. Hire this guy. You won't regret it.

DJ Atticus was so awesome.
I was really nervous about finding a DJ for our wedding. My fiancé and I are young but love classic rock (Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc.) and wasn’t sure how that would equate to a wedding reception. I talked to Daryle and he recommended Atticus.

I live on the west coast but was getting married in Maryland. After a phone call with Atticus, he assured me that he could totally work with our music preference and get everyone to dance. I felt really comfortable with our conversation and booked him. I actually didn’t meet him in person until lining up for the wedding reception.

We gave him a song list of about 20 songs and let him improvise from there. He nailed it- for every song he played that wasn’t on the list, I was sitting there saying “ah, I can’t believe I forgot about this song!”. He had everyone dancing and wasn’t cheesy in any way. I seriously received more compliments about Atticus than I did over anything else at the wedding. I was so happy to have Atticus- he by far exceeded my expectations. I’m going to have to book and fly him to all future celebrations- I don’t think any other DJ could ever top him.

DJ D-MAC was absolutely amazing and made our wedding the biggest dance party ever. We had a blast and he was incredibly flexible. I'm already brainstorming reasons to bring him back.

DJ D-MAC was great to work with. Their staff were very responsive and professional, and there was a great selection of different DJs--we had no trouble finding one to suit our tastes. We especially appreciated that many of the DJs work in a variety of venues--including bars, clubs and lounges around the DC area--so we knew we were getting someone with more range and experience than a traditional wedding DJ. We worked with DJ Neville C. He met with us before the wedding to get a sense of our music tastes and discuss our vision for our wedding music. We provided a list of “must play” and “do not play” songs and DJ Neville C. did the rest. He did an amazing job of seamlessly blending the music from dinner to reception and kept our guests on that dance floor all night long. We loved DJ Neville C. and we would definitely recommend him and DJ D-MAC associates to anyone in the DC area.

DJ D Mac absolutely rocked our wedding, and if it was possible to give higher then a 5 star rating I'd give him 18's in everything. He was really easy to talk to and after meeting with him a few times, he gave us everything we asked for and then more. Music is one of the most important things to me at a wedding and he did not disappoint. People were on the dance floor from 9:30-11:30 when the night was over. Our guests raved for days, and still are about how much fun they had dancing. There is no reason to look for another DJ as far as we are concerned as you search should stop with DJ D-Mac.

We used DJ D-Mac and Associates for our August wedding. His associate DJ Nitekrawler, Kevin Coombe, made our event a huge success. Kevin is a professional DJ and he did a tremendous amount of work before our event to make sure it went off flawlessly - he met with us in person to discuss our music selections, promptly replied to all of our emails and spent nearly and entire day before our wedding at our venue working with the on site coordinator to make sure his equipment would work properly in our space. He is an artist - he seamlessly blended song into song and had people dancing the entire night. The energy was so fantastic people were literally cheering for him at the end of the night. Great guy and great service.

DJ Meistro is awesome!! He knew the right songs to play to get the dance floor packed all night! We gave him a list of bridal party entrance songs in advance, including which part of the song we would like played for each couple entering the reception as they were announced... he was so accommodating and the entrance was unforgettable! I can't tell you how many people said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. If you go with DJ Meistro you will not be disappointed! :)

DJ Atticus did a great job blending our multi-cultural wedding. He mixed in Afghan, Turkish, Pashto, Spanish, Persian and American music. He read the crowd perfectly. Both the Afghans and the Americans at our wedding were on the dance floor - it was so packed that people were dancing on the grass and dancing with each other. We had some power issues at our venue site but Atticus quickly responded to make sure we didn't lose any more time.
DJ Atticus came recommended by a friend and I will also recommend him to anyone in need of a good and professional DJ.

Rusty and his team are fabulous. He was great to work with leading up to the wedding and our reception was fantastic. I danced from the very first song to the very last. He worked our favorite song selections into the playlist and kept the dance party going strong for our entire reception. Everyone was on the dance floor, from our 5-year old cousins to our 85-year old grandparents. It was an absolute blast and we couldn't have expected more professional, flexible and accommodating, personalized and fun service. I am so glad we found Rusty and his team and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a tasteful, non-cheezy,kind, skilled and highly professional DJ.

I know my husband also wrote a review, but I couldn't resist writing one also. These guys were absolutely incredible. The entire company is wonderful to work with. I told them I liked old blues music and he came up with an entire playlist. It was amazing.... it was perfect!

We had DJ Stylus from DJ D-Mac & Associates DJ our wedding and he was fantastic.

During our initial phone conversation we discussed the type of music we liked and how the format of the wedding was going to go. He was enthusiastic and had some great suggestions. We had a few firm items (jazz/blues during cocktail hour and dinner, bride procession song, bride/groom recession song, first dance) but left the rest up to him. He absolutely knocked it out of the park with his music selection before, during, and after the wedding. His selection for the party really got people dancing.

DJ Stylus is a pro and I would recommend him to anyone.

Where is the 10 star button?! DJ DMAC was AWESOME, I don't even know how to put it in words. The dance floor was rocking, even 6 months after the wedding I still get compliments on how good he was. Since my husband is white and I'm black I was really concerned about excluding some of our guests because of our different tastes in music, but at our initial consult, DJ DMAC assured me that everyone will be dancing and they did just that! He played all types of music and everyone even my 93 year old grandfather enjoyed it! I would have had him spin until 3AM if I could.

We had Atticus as our DJ for our wedding, and he was fantastic! Before the wedding, we had timely and in depth correspondance. The day of, he handled the timeline perfectly, and kept my groom and I in the loop on every move he made. We asked him to come up with the majority of our playlist based off of just a few suggestions from ourselves, and it was perfect (including a couple mixes of his own, which were phenomenal). All in all, we were extremely pleased. He was completely awesome!

Daryle is an amazing DJ and we would recommend him to anyone! Daryle returned my call the next day after my first inquiry and I was so glad we chose him. He is amazing at getting a feel for the couple and for the crowd. The party went until almost 1 in the morning and the dance floor was packed the entire time! Many people said it was one of the most fun weddings they have ever been to. And I know that is because of Daryle. Even my friend who works for Sony was raving about how great the music was. Don't even think twice about it, just hire Daryle. I know he made our wedding a huge success and I am so grateful we had him. I only wish I could hire him again!

DJ D-Mac & Associates were referred to us by a friend who said that people still talk about how good the music was at his and his wife's wedding. Upon such a referral and meeting Daryle and Jacob, DJ Deep Sang; we knew we were in for something special. DJ D-Mac, Jacob, and Ange were helpful, responsive, and an all around pleasure to deal with in the lead up to our wedding helping us set a timeline, suggestions, must-plays, and do-not-plays.

DJ Deep Sang had our guests on the dance floor from the second our entrees were finished until the lights came up with mixes that spanned generations and genres. His timing, style, and skills were, to say the least, amazing. He even accommodated a last minute special request by the mother of the bride for a tribute song to be played just for us.

I would recommend DJ D-Mac & Associates to anyone looking to make sure their wedding playlist will be unforgettable, and have even passed on my friend's recommendation to my friend getting married in a few weeks. I know we will not be disappointed.

We booked DJ Neville C (Neal Becton) for our wedding. We were impressed with his knowledge of Latin music -- que bueno! He was very professional and easy to work with. I really wanted someone who could handle a interracial wedding -- Latin & African American. He did an awesome job of mixing, oldies, top 40s, and Latin songs at our wedding. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ.

Daryle is an awesome, awesome DJ. And just a really cool person. I saw Daryle (D-Mac) play a friend's wedding in 2008, and we danced our feet off until 1am. It was the most fun I had had on the dance floor. ever. So when I got engaged last year, Daryle was my dream DJ. And lo and behold, he wasn't booked for our date yet! He worked with us on our budget too, which I was really thankful for.

He was great to work with through the whole process, and really listened to us when we described the types of music we like and wanted to hear at the wedding. And then he basically ran with it. We provided a song list, but it was only our top favorite songs and he filled in with a ton of good stuff.

Daryle also did the ceremony music and the reception music. The ceremony music worked out beautifully and the reception music set the relaxed mood we were going for. And he brought lapel mics for the officiant and groom to wear for the ceremony- very discreet and made sure everyone could hear our vows.

When it was time to start the dancing, I think it took 2 songs before guests started asking me "Who is this DJ?! He's awesome!" The last set of songs were filled with some of my favorites, and some great requests by friends. It was one of the most special moments of the night- dancing with my new husband, surrounded by friends and family, just rocking out to these songs and celebrating.

I'm so glad a friend recommended DJ D Mac and that DJ Rusty played our party! We received so many compliments on our music afterwards, with the highest compliment that we heard over and over being that it was just good fun music, not "wedding music". DJ Rusty was professional, easy to work with, and did an amazing job of keeping the energy up all night. Definitely recommended!

For our May 5th farm wedding we hired DJ Atticus and boy did we get lucky! He was amazing! I think he played just about every single song on the lengthy list that I gave him, and he knew exactly how to read the crowd and when to play each song. The transitions between songs were fantastic and he kept me dancing literally the entire reception. Atticus provided exactly the kind of DJ service that we wanted, a playlist catered to us leaving out any of the typical cheesy wedding songs along with a fun yet professional attitude. Along with music for the reception, he also provided sound for the ceremony as well as music. Everything was just perfect.

You could not ask for better! He is the best of the best and so wonderful to work with- we had read all the great reviews and thought- Could he be this good? The answer is: he is better! No one wanted to leave the dance floor the entire evening and they didn't- It was packed all night. He did a perfect job and we enjoyed him as a person. It was great to share our wedding day with him, dancing at the wedding and enjoying the music he played is my fondest memory of our wedding day.

DJ Atticus, one of the many talented DJs with DJ D-Mac and Associates, DJ'd our wedding at Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, MD. My husband and I have differing tastes in music, and come from two completely different countries; England and America. When we met with DJ Atticus, we thought we found someone who would "marry" our tastes in music and still provide a setting in which our guests couldn't help but get on the dance floor. We were right! Not only did Atticus put together a great playlist, even with last-minute requests from myself and our guests, he MC'd the entire night perfectly. The week before the wedding, he emailed me asking if I needed anything, and if I did, to give him a call. I really appreciated it, considering there were some details I had forgotten. He even handled a last-minute request for the MOH's speech (she asked for some musical accompaniment). As for the cost, DJ Atticus is totally worth it; we didn't miss a cue with him. Or a beat.

When we first started planning our wedding, I remember reading some review on here from a past client of Daryle's who said she wanted crash his future weddings. I now know what she means. Daryle provided a phenomenal soundtrack for us, beginning with some nontraditional cocktail hour fare like one of my favorite Big Star tunes and continuing through a throw-down dance party that included everything from 80s new-wave like the Cars to modern stuff like Florence + the Machine and Adele to classics like Tina Turner and Paul Simon. All of our guests commented on what a great DJ Daryle was. My only regret was not booking our venue for even longer, because we could have kept dancing all night!

I cannot stress enough how pleased my wife and I were with DJ D-Mac. The dance floor was full all night and Daryle had everyone in our family’s dancing for hours. After the wedding the first comment we got from almost all who attended was “your DJ was amazing”. We can honestly say he made our wedding the party we wanted it to be. From our initial meeting through the wedding day he was easy to work with and responsive to our needs. I highly recommend DJ D-Mac for any event.

My fiance, AJ, and I originally contracted another DJ at a less expensive price, but then had the fortunate experience of seeing him at another wedding where he was awful! We immediately called DMac in hopes it was not too late to book him! Although he was booked for our date, his associate DJ, Atticus, handled my wedding on Dec. 3 after all. The value was certainly worth a few hundred bucks!

He was amazing!!!!! I am Cuban, my husband Afghani and we have mainly American friends - what a mix! Atticus took this all in stride and provided a wonderful mix of a little of everything - he kept the dancefloor packed from the first song! I am still hearing rave reviews from friends and relatives!

Daryle was awesome! He had everyone on the dance floor all night! We had numerous guests tell us what an incredible DJ he was!

Daryle and Dylan did an amazing job at our wedding. Finding good music and photography are probably the two most important things to do when you plan your wedding. If you don't have good music, DJ or Band, folks aren't going to stick around. And one of my biggest fears in the whole wedding process was that our guests would not dance and that it would just be my husband and I up there trying to get the crowd going. (Not an ideal scenario for two shy people).

Well I didn't need to worry. Daryle knew exactly what song to play after the father daughter dance and I don't think I left the dance floor the entire night. I had so much fun I didn't even get a bigger slice of my cake.

After the wedding everyone from my friends to my parents friends raved about what a fun time they had.

I do think that Daryle and Dylan had a challenging crowd to work with. Although we were a fun group, our crowd was not uniform at all. My husband and I are 10 years apart so we had a lot of age diversity at the wedding. We also had culture diversity in that most of my family is from Latin America and his family is from the Washington area. So thinking about music that everyone would dance to was a challenge and Daryle and Dylan figured out that music sweet spot.

My husband's sister and his cousin both proclaimed that our wedding was the best wedding they'd ever been to and I know a HUGE part of that was Daryl and Dylan's work. One of my closest friends said she woke up the next morning unable to walk because she'd danced so much.

I could go on, but trust me when I say this is the DJ you want to go with. He not only understands music and waht keeps people moving, but he is also a total professional. I remember at one point of the night looking over at him and he was totally in the zone working his magic, fending off crazy music requests and making sure he delivered on the job he came there to do.

The throw-down dance till you drop party that Jacob (DJ Deep Sang) brought to our wedding reception makes me embarrassed that I ever considered using my ipod to provide the tunes at the reception. This was hands down the best money we spent for our wedding reception. Friends and family (of all ages!) compliment us on what great music we had.

Jacob was extremely professional and helpful for us as casual music fans. We provided him with a list of songs we liked, and some songs we didn't like, and he turned that into a great playlist for the night that kept people on the dance floor until the venue had to kick us out. He had his whole system set up over an hour before the event began. He brought a second system to pump music into a side room during cocktail hour to ensure a seamless musical background for the evening.

There are always a few things that go wrong during a wedding and things that keep the bride up the nights leading up to the big day - I can honestly say that Jacob and Daryle put my mind at ease throughout the planning process and on the day of the music never skipped a beat. Definitely hire Jacob as your wedding DJ!

We were so happy to have DJ D-Mac provide music at our wedding reception - I can't tell you how many people told us afterward and via email how much they loved the tunes and the dancing and what a cool DJ we had. I highly recommend D-Mac and his team for your event - they are professional, have cool technology and most of all, , great taste in music. Plus we had a small venue and he handled the volume really well, which was great. I'd gladly hire him again - he'll keep your party on point.

DJ Mac & Associates hooked us up with DJ Atticus for our wedding. He truly made the wedding a night to remember! Mainly because he wasn't your typical wedding DJ. He was extremely professional without the cheesy wedding DJ persona. I recommend giving him a list of songs that you want to hear and then let him take over and do his thing. He had the dancefloor packed the entire night.

I have only 2 regrets from my experience with DJ Rusty and both were my fault.
1) I wish we could have danced longer. DJ Rusty absolutely killed. Our guests would have danced happily for many more hours had the venue not required us to leave.
2) I specifically requested a song that DJ Rusty suggested was not great for dancing. I ignored his advice because its a favorite of my wife and mine. It was the only song no-one danced to.

DJ D-Mac is the best wedding DJ in DC. It's not even a contest. Hiring his team will be the best wedding decision you will make. Usually DJs as hip as him are too cool for the wedding circuit, but Daryle does all us music lovers a great service by offering his talents for hire. He takes the time to meet with you, figure out what music you love, and mixes it all together for an amazing event. Soul, hip-hop, indie, 80s, he can do it all--and with real records and mixing for a top-notch show. It's a pleasure working with him and he'll put your anxious bride at ease. Daryle even took the time to set up a microphone for a friend who played a song on acoustic guitar during our ceremony, which was above and beyond the call of duty. Guest will dance for the entire wedding, they will email you for days after raving about the music, and their only complaint will be that there was no time to rest because the music was so good. Daryle was worth every penny, and even after the wedding, I look forward to catching him at places around town like Marvin and Dodge City in the future!

Planning a wedding can be stressful, but knowing that we had hired DJ D-Mac for our wedding, we knew that music was one thing we did not have to worry about. One of our biggest fears was having a “cheesy” DJ but after our first meeting with him, we knew we were in good hands and that he was going to be perfect for our wedding. We gave him an idea of what we wanted and didn’t want, and we also threw in the challenge of asking him to mix in some traditional Serbian music as well. We completely trusted that he would do an amazing job, and therefore we were able to focus on other aspects of planning. Two days before the wedding we spoke with him again and he was full of great ideas and suggestions (editing down our first dance song, setting up sound for the readings during the ceremony, hooking up the officiant with a wireless mic, music suggestions for our cocktail hour – all things we totally forgot to think about). We felt completely confident that everything would go smoothly and it did! He played virtually everything we requested and he made very cool blends from the American music into the Serbian music. The dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT LONG! Everyone was having such a great time, we asked if he would stay longer, and he graciously agreed to do so – even on a Monday night!!

DJ Atticus was our ideal wedding DJ. We were shuddering at the thought of the standard cheeseball wedding DJ's. We also planned our wedding remotely, so needed a vendor who could work relatively independently. Atticus was the man for this.

We shared our playlist with him via Google Docs and put him in touch with our venue contact. Since this was the first time he had played in the venue, he setup a time to visit the venue and coordinate equipment needs. About two weeks before the actual wedding, we sent the final schedule, songlist and emcee needs (introducing the toasts, first dance, cake-cutting). And when the day came, everything went without a hitch. He showed up well in advance to setup equipment and kicked off on-time for cocktail hour. He smoothly led things through the toasts, first and cake-cutting, despite us running 30 - 45 minutes late. Lastly, he put on a great set, starting off with our song selections, but slightly customizing things (with good taste) to get more people onto the dance floor.

We received great comments from our friends, who had a fantastic time, a few of whom were incredibly impressed that he was mixing on the fly during the process. All in all, we'd pick him again if we were to have to do this all over again.

Atticus met with us before the wedding and got a good feel for what type of music we wanted. He had everyone dancing, including my aunt who I never would have thought would. He was much more than just a guy playing music, though -- he was the perfect emcee for the night.

We LOVED DJ D-Mac. Daryle, Dylan and team were so professional, thoughtful to detail - and their tunes were one of the top two items (after my mom's toast!) that brought in compliments from our guests. If you want guests out on the dance floor, hire him! In the lead up to the party, I dropped the ball and forgot to send our "don't play list" - he followed up via email to make sure he had the right information for the big day. Most importantly, in the flurry our of departure from the reception, we left behind our marriage license by accident! DJ-D Mac saved the day - texted me the next day to let me know that the venue had given him the license and he sent it to my office priority mail to make sure we got it. You are in great hands with DJ D-Mac, we couldn't be happier.

DJ D-Mac did a great job at our wedding! He helped with everything from keeping the dance floor packed to editing the first dance song to pointing the groom in the right direction to make a toast. Great guy who did a wonderful job on our important day.

The day that we met DJ D-MAC we knew that he was perfect for us. Darlye was able to take our eclectic taste in music and make it work. We had a Cure song as the processional, Depeche Mode as the Mrs. Mr. entrance and a mix through out the night. I don't know how, but Darlye put it all together in a way that everyone loved. After getting to know us a little, our planners, Ritzy Bee, recommended that my husband and I consider calling Daryle about being our DJ. They could not have recommended anyone better! My husband and I are both music nerds in very different ways and Daryle incorporated my husband's punk tastes and my indie tastes with oldies and current songs and made sure the dance floor was packed all night! Everyone loved the music and at times it seemed Daryle was reading my mind with some of the songs he played. If we could, I would hire him again and again. My husband and I will definitely be checking him out when he spins around town. Music is very important to both of us and Daryle really made it a night we will always remember!

DJ D-Mac was superb at our wedding. Many guests came up to us during and after the wedding saying they were very impressed and everyone had a great time dancing. AMAZING. That is all we have to say. We had people on the dance floor all night long and he made the party. He plays a great mix to your liking but also reads the crowd incredibly well and transitioned perfectly well when I made some very last minute changes (I'm talking about while we were dancing!). This is not a cheesy wedding DJ pressing buttons. People have been raving ever since about how amazing our DJ was and several guests got his card that night! My friend had one complaint--because DJDMAC did not play one bad song, it was difficult for her to leave the dance floor and she was sweating her tail off! If you have already made the DJ/Band decision and you are going to hire a DJ, hire DJDMAC with no question. If you are deciding between a band or a DJ, becuase of how amazing DJDMAC is, I'd say go with him over a band in a heartbeat. You'll save a ton of money, you'll have an incredible party, and you'll never think twice about your decision. One of the very best decisions we made.

DJ D-Mac was the perfect DJ and Emcee for our June wedding at Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, MD. From the onset, Daryle was extremely helpful and easy to work with, asking all the right questions and pointing us in the right direction with regards to equipment and music selection. Just before the wedding he recognized that the father-daughter song was too long, so he impressively cut the song from 6 minutes to under 3 minutes.

As an Emcee, Daryle effectively steers the direction and flow of the wedding without being overpowering -- he is not the type of Emcee who makes the wedding all about himself, as has been the case at other weddings I have attended and something I worried about when choosing a DJ. Instead, he lets the bride and groom and family members and the bridal party be the stars of the day and ensures that everything runs smoothly and on time.

As a DJ, Daryle was exceptional. He played virtually everything we has requested and then built a playlist based on our tastes. He played the perfect mix of dance songs-- perfect for both young and old crowds-- and kept the dance party going until close.

Hiring Daryle as your DJ for your wedding is the best decision you can make when planning. Daryle was very responsive and easy to work with. Our biggest request was to make sure that everyone had a rocking time and he more than delivered. We're still hearing from our guests of how much Daryle absolutely blew them away. Admittedly, some of our song choices were less than traditional, but Daryle was up to the challenge. We had our hearts set on entering to one heavy metal song in particular, since it was a short guitar solo, we weren't sure if it was possible, but Daryle pulled through. If you're looking for a DJ that's an alternative to all cheesy, bow-tie DJs and that's guaranteed to get everyone out on the floor all night, than Daryle is definitely your man!

Wow! Rusty was absolutely awesome and helped us make our reception a complete success. Our friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had at the reception and I think this is due to the music selection that Rusty played. We worked with Rusty in selecting some MUSTs and some NOs and he followed these as requested...I don't think there was a single song that we wanted that was not played and he was able to fill in the gaps with music that matched our requests. I'm already thinking what other big party I can have so that I can hire these guys again! I definitely recommend DJ D-Mac/Rusty and can tell you that it was money well spent!

Daryle is DJ genius. Not only did he do an amazing job with all of the scheduling and shout outs that I requested, including some very last minute changes, he also kept the party on fire the entire night. Just when I thought it couldn't get more outstanding, his assistant whips out a cowbell, a tambourine and some maracas for the crowd! I did not realize that my reception needed a headbanging interlude to Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," but luckily Daryle did. He stayed longer than we requested, and apparently got that ok'ed with the venue. My wedding was great and I enjoyed all of it, but of all the decisions I made about it, hiring Daryle was the best one. Daryle, I think my sister stole your maracas. Please let me know if you need them back :-)

Daryle was the best wedding DJ my wife and I could have hoped for. We had a few meetings to discuss the tone and feel of who were are and what we were looking for. He easily integrated songs that we were dying to hear with his own choices and had our crowd whipped into a frenzy in no time. If the venue hadn't had to close early I believe we could have danced all night long. I cannot recommend him enough.

DJ D-Mac is seriously the best DJ EVER! We were talking about the music for days after the reception. He seamlessly mixes genres and gets people who "don't dance" to shake it, while appealing to the ballroom dancers in the crowd. It was so hard to leave the floor because every song was so good. We had such a blast and hope to hear him spinning again soon!!

I cannot even convey in words how insanely amazing DJ D-Mac is. The guy knows what he's doing. We were REALLY last minute lining up a DJ, but luckily DJ D-Mac was available for our Friday wedding. He had everyone on the dance floor... people who "never" dance at weddings were out there going nuts, young people, old people, kids, adults... no one wanted the wedding to end.

I'm SO glad that we found Daryle. He was really detailed, but not demanding at all. Extremely professional, and ridiculously fun. I had so many people asking me who our DJ was and telling me it was the most fun wedding they had been to. That just wouldn't have happened if we plugged an iPod into speakers or even picked a run-of-the-mill DJ.

I'm pretty sure that DJing is not something that just anyone can do. It's a skill. It takes a lot of intuition and the ability to read people and crowds. A definite art. And DJ D-Mac is... he's a god. I don't even know what else to say.

Well, I will say one more thing. It has gone through my head several times since our wedding that I should somehow find out what other weddings he's doing, and go crash them. Not in a creepy way, just in a desire-to-have-the-time-of-my-life way. I highly, highly recommend his services. He'll probably even bring some maracas and a cowbell.

DJ D-Mac did a phenomenal job at our wedding.

Working with him in the run-up to our wedding, he was consistently professional and responsive, his years of experience in the business was obvious, and he brought to the table an attention to detail that you simply do not find elsewhere.

He is a perfectionist in all the good ways. We were able to share both some specific song ideas as well as general ideas for genres and the tempo of the evening, and he worked with all of our input perfectly and made it very easy for us. He lives and breathes music, has an immense collection, and is very good at sketching out a great song lineup. If you use DJ D-Mac & Associates you must give them creative license to do what they do best -- this makes for a great evening and it also makes it much easier on you.

During preparation, he was serious about the gear he uses and took the time to make sure that the setup at your reception will sound great and work well with the site itself.

During the reception, he read the crowd very well and adjusted tempo and genres on the fly. We had a cocktail hour before the reception got going, and he still had the dance floor packed immediately, even well before dinner and before the heavy drinking set in. His introductions were great, classy, to the point, and totally free of cheesy DJ babble. As the evening picked up, he really seemed to get into it as well. He accommodated specific family music requests very well, and managed to keep the dance floor full of both college kids and grandparents until they kicked us out to go to the after party. His transitions are also buttery smooth and if he had to could blend Sinatra right into Michael Jackson. We heard compliments from everyone.

Overall, he takes his work very seriously, he is meticulous, but also artful and creative, and he is a pleasure to work with.

Daryle truly is the best DJ. He can read a crowd like I've never
seen; it's like magic the way he can fill a dance floor and keep it
packed for hours. Even in the potentially awkward time after the cocktail hour and before dinner, Daryle had the dance floor packed. We were all
sweating by dinner -- just the way a dancing wedding should be! At one point I looked out to see that the tables were basically empty
because all the guests were on the dance floor. Even my elderly aunt
who usually never dances spent most of the night on the dance
floor.

I've seen Daryle dj other events -- in clubs and weddings -- and
he was the one vendor I knew I couldn't do without. We spent a lot of
time going over the kind of music we wanted, and he gave us great
feedback and advice. He was also very accommodating to my dad who
wanted a lot of oldies and swing. At one point late in the evening,
my dad begged for a little more swing and Daryle did this and then
managed to fill the dance floor with the younger crowd once again so
that the night could end on a high note.

All around, he is a superb DJ! I highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed and you will hear compliments about him for months after the wedding is over . . .

We just had our wedding with DJ Meistro, a DJ D-Mac associate. I would highly, highly recommend DJ Meistro or another D-Mac DJ for your wedding. DJ Meistro was friendly, professional and accommodating throughout. He met with us twice before the wedding to discuss the timeline and music selections. When we decided the week of to add an additional dance set, he happily planned a playlist. He did music before and during the ceremony and really set the mood for the wedding. He even set up an iPod loaded with music for the hotel to play during the cocktail hour, saving us from having to pay for an additional DJ set-up. Our party was absolutely amazing and DJ Meistro is really responsible for that. He moved the party along perfectly. He played oldies and chill music, at just the right volume, while we ate and literally kept the dance floor full for 3 hours of dancing. When we made a last minute call to extend the part for an hour, DJ Meistro happily went along without batting an eye. Our friends and family loved the music and kept commenting to us about how great the DJ was. We were really happy that we chose a DJ over a band.

We loved DJ Neville Chamberlain (Neal Becton)! Both he and DJ D-Mac were very easy to work with. Neal did a great job of mixing in our song suggestions, staying away from our Do Not Play songs, and keeping everyone on the dance floor all night long! I would definitely recommend both Neal and D-Mac to anyone.

Daryle djed a friend's wedding and they insisted we see if he was available for our wedding. From the moment we reached out to Daryle to see if he was available to the wedding day, he was very responsive. Before we signed him we met in person to go over the types of music we liked and how we wanted the night to go - we instantly knew he was going to be perfect!

On the wedding day, he got there early and got everything all set-up and perfect. He even brought a microphone for the officiant to use and for the toasts. I hadn't thought of that! He was very flexible and offered his thoughts on what would and would not work. We ended up going with most of his suggestions. The result was music that not only felt very special and unique to our wedding but also got everyone dancing. And I mean everyone! The quality of service provided in relation to the cost of the event was second to none. DJ D-Mac is an incredible value for the cost.
In addition, the set up and performance of DJ D-Mac was not only very professional but also uniquely cool with his own take on 'old school' spinning. The music never stopped and provided a continuous outlet for good times. DJ D-Mac was very articulate and engaging in his emcee duties. In summary, we could not have asked for more. DJ D-Mac was a big part in making our special day exactly what we wanted.

DJ D-Mac was awesome! He has great equipment (especially the super cool old style mic) was great to work with - just a great guy and a great DJ. At the end of the reception a spontaneous eruption from a packed dance floor chanted ENCORE - ENCORE until he relented and agreed to play another song. I can't tell you how many of our guests have told us that DJ D-Mac was the best DJ they'd ever heard at a wedding and they couldn't believe that we'd been able to get him. We can't recommend him highly enough.

D-Mac was fantastic. That dance floor was packed all night, with people of all ages tearing it up.

He was very responsive and professional from start to finish and he made it feel like he was really spinning for us and our friends (as I guess a good DJ should)...

He asks for a list of "must-plays" and instead I sent him a list of probably 30 to 40 songs that I said were some of our favorites so he could get a feeling for our taste in music. I did not in any way expect him to be able to play everything, since I figured a DJ has to play a selection of songs that flow together, not just what the couple likes.

He did. I swear D-Mac found a way to weave together like 90 percent of the songs I had on that list. He's that great.

Daryle is absolutely amazing. Some brides want the perfect cake or extravagant flowers, but I knew very early on what I wanted was an epic dance party to celebrate my wedding and that is exactly what I got, thanks in HUGE part to the dj. He got EVERYONE on the floor, including my very straight-laced father who at one point in the night was the center of attention on the air guitar, and my 81-year-old grandmother, who was spotted getting down with one of the groomsmen.

Daryle worked largely of a play list of songs I suggested, which he supplemented with some dance floor classics I had forgotten about- mostly stuff that was sure to appeal to a wider range of audiences than my taste in poppy indie rock. He did a great job of reading the crowd if something wasn't working, which is definitely part of what kept the vibe so great all night. All night long, the reactions to the music were, "oh my god, we have to get on the dance floor NOW," and never, "Oh no, this was way overplayed on the 1998 bar mitzvah circuit," which is I think what most people expected when I told them I was using a DJ not a band.

He's definitely able to customize the the type of sound you want, whatever that may be, and probably with minimal direction. The man knows his way around good music. He also has a really nice looking set up that I think would blend well into just about any venue.

We had an amazing time that night are still hearing from people about what a good time they had, and while weddings are usually tons of fun, I'm pretty certain Daryle was crucial to ours being such a blast. My dad even asked if I would make a CD for him of the songs so he could remember how much fun he had. This is coming from a guy who I don't think has had fun since 1980.

I would definitely recommend DJ D-Mac to anyone who wants an amazing party at their wedding. He plays sets around town often (which are amazing), so if you have any doubts, go see him!

We hired DJ D-Mac for our ceremony and reception music. He did an amazing job! DJ D-Mac was extrememly professional, quick to respond to our emails and a pleasure to work with. Knowing that the DJ is the one of the main components of the reception and the key to getting people out of their chairs and onto the dance floor, we didn't want your dime-a-dozen wedding DJ. At our first meeting with DJ D-Mac we knew we were getting an experienced DJ, that really knew music, and knew what to play to get people dancing and having fun without having to play a bunch of line dances (which were on our no play list).
DJ D-Mac's process made things very simple. We gave him our do and don't play list, and order of events for the evening. He was spinning all kinds of music, including some mixes all night, which our guests absolutely loved. The quote from my rocker cousin who is in a band was "your DJ rocks", which was the sentiment among many of our friends. Even after the wedding, we still had people telling us how awesome the music was and how much fun they had. We were so impressed to see ages 3 through 60+ on the dance floor at the same time. DJ D-Mac's equipment was top notch, and even allowed for the speech/toast to be in the separate dinner room without any problems because of his cordless speakers. He was flexible with our very last minute change (2 minutes beforehand) for the song to introduce our parents at the reception. DJ D-Mac and his assistant were able to rock the party without being obtrusive; there were no awkward DJ interruptions with the announcements for the evenings events (first dance, cake cutting) and everything flowed smoothly. DJ-Mac is well worth the expense. We highly recommend DJ D-Mac for any event.

Daryle is a truly, truly amazing DJ and the guy you want on your team. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Nobody could resist -- music snobs, college-age siblings, grandparents, my dad with his new hip replacement, this exhausted bride -- everybody danced. DJ D-Mac knows what moves people, and it was exactly the non-weddingy, party-that-happens-to-have-a-white-dress-at-it we wanted. People *still* tell us how much fun they had. And we have video to prove it.

Regarding quality, professionalism, and flexibility -- we were an *exceptionally* last-minute sort of couple, and Daryle never made us feel difficult (bless him). He was super efficient, made changes to the mics and located our first dance song which we'd forgotten (!) with minutes to spare, and was an absolute all-star in helping pull our wedding off.

Daryle came to me recommended by another friend who said he kept her on the dance floor for hours at her friend's wedding. I wanted someone who did not seem like your typical "wedding DJ." Someone who would play to a younger crowd without any cheese factor. He lived up to my expectations. Daryle is laid back and easy to work with -- he plays the songs you request, but he also volunteers his professional opinion when he thinks it necessary, which was important to me. And he deserves even more than five stars for responsiveness! I left all of my music planning to the last minute, and was sending Daryle probably two or three emails a day the week before my wedding. Daryle responded to most ... even though he was on his honeymoon!! He's a true professional. I received so many compliments on the music and really appreciated Daryle's services.

We looked at a lot of DJ's for our wedding and most of them made us want to puke a little. We were so happy that we found Daryle. He was excellent. Very professional, very modern, and most importantly kept people dancing the entire time. We received so many compliments about him and he was the perfect fit for us and our friends (some of whom are a little bit music snobby). He played exactly what we requested at our cocktail hour and then took over the night doing what he does best--playing cool music in fun sets and responding deftly to each change in mood throughout the evening. You know how some wedding receptions leave you wanting more, and wishing the party would continue into the wee hours of the night? Well, this was NOT that kind of wedding, cause DJ D-Mac killed it so hard, that everyone was completely spent. Guys had sweated completely through their shirts, and virtually all our guests were sore the next day. D-Mac's set was so spot on, that people are still talking about it to this day.

D-Mac is a consummate professional, who takes his craft extremely serious, and it shows. We met him in person once, and then gave him a few recommendations on the types of songs we liked, and trusted him to take it from there -- the result was amazing. There's no doubt that D-Mac could change up his style and playlist to match any couple's preference, but if you're looking to throw a real party, you've found your man.

DJ D-Mac is the wedding DJ for people who hate typical wedding DJs! You won't hear any YMCA or Macarena out of this guy, and you won't be seeing any fog machines or tacky light displays, either. Just an amazing music set that you help create by giving him a list of the songs that you want to hear, and songs that you do NOT want to hear. D-Mac played tons of our requested oddball indie rock songs, and mixed it up with a great mix of old soul, jazz, and even modern songs that everyone loves. We can't recommend him enough. Seriously. We can't count how many people have come up to us and said how amazing he was!

We had seen DJ DMac at an event several years ago, and he was the first vendor we called once we had our wedding date set. It was the best decision we ever made, because his music really set the tone for our entire event and made the night. He met with us in person a month or so before the event to get a sense of the vibe and type of music we wanted, and he hit it out of the park. He created custom edits of songs for our ceremony and dances, and he kept the dance floor jumping until the very last song. He really went above and beyond our expectations, which already were quite high. We heard nothing but raves from our guests--many, many people said it was the best DJ they had EVER heard at a wedding. We agree!!

DJ D-Mac, aka Daryle Maciocha, was a terrific DJ. He has spun in DC venues such as Bourbon, Marvin and 18th Street Lounge. He made himself very available in the months leading up to our wedding – we met with him twice. He then played a fantastic lineup of songs! We also had Daryle handle all the sound for the ceremony. He showed up early and set up the speakers and mics, all of which worked perfectly. The nice thing is that he charged a flat rate for the entire day, which included all set-up and take-down. We did have to pay a little extra for the lapel mic for the officiant – still worth it!

I cannot say enough great things about Daryle (DJ D-Mac). He knew exactly what to play and went strong all night, from bossa nova and jazz at our cocktail hour, to standards during dinner, and then hip hop, funk, and rock for the rest of the night. He has an incredibly extesive collection of music and he spins only portions of songs, so the dance floor was packed all night. We met with him well in advance because I had a specific idea of the music I wanted, and he helped us plan out all the right tunes. Daryle is not a "wedding" DJ in that he spins at bars, etc. around DC, so there is nothing cheesy about him. Our guests (of all ages) raved about how incredible the music was. I would hire Daryle again in a heartbeat.

Each year there are just a handful of vendors that really stand out and make me say "wow". In 2011 Daryle from DJ D-Mac was one of them. His professionalism, enthusiasm, and skill was continuously displayed at the wedding we both were involved in. With that said he is highly recommended and will certainly contribute to setting your event to the next level.

I worked with Darryl at a wedding I coordinated this past Spring in Potomac, MD and he is one of the best DJ's I have ever seen in action! He did a great job of keeping the dance floor alive and pumping and even brought musical props for the guests to have fun with. I would recommend him to any couple.

Seriously one of the best DJs in the area. We know D-Mac is going to make our job of capturing guests dancing and having fun easy. He has the dance floor packed the whole night and knows how to read the crowd. I always refer to him as someone that does mash ups and blends right into the next great song. A pleasure to work with!

DJ D-Mac is a true professional and skilled dj, just the guy you need for your unique and fun wedding. His ability to take classic and new songs and flip them into something new and fresh and his keen since of timing of when to play the right song at the right time makes him one of the best djs in town. Beyond that his personal approach to dealing with clients, from creating a truly unique soundtrack for the evening to helping plan your whole event are top notch.

There are wedding DJs, and then there's D-Mac. If you want someone who is truly different, whose sensibility stems more from a club atmosphere than a traditional wedding playlist, you seriously have to hire D-Mac. We've never seen a dance floor packed as much as when we saw him work.

I can't begin to say how much I enjoy working with Daryle. He knows how to get a party started and keep it going! I've never seen a crowd have as much fun as they do when Daryle is doing his thing. Daryle keeps the dance floor packed! He is a true professional and is very attentive to the clients likes and dislikes. Each time I work with Daryle, guests go out of their way to tell me it's the best wedding they've ever attended. I highly recommend DJ D-Mac!
