Terrific DJ. Classy and organized. He kept the evening running on track. He has you fiill out a wedding planner document which makes it easy to plan out the reception. He thinks of the little things that you might not think of.

Simply outstanding. Frank Young is a thorough professional, quick to answer our questions, make timely suggestions on music, and acted as an unofficial MC at our reception. He is unfailingly polite and was very responsive to our needs. Once the dancing started at the reception, he kept the dance floor full and the energy high. We had a great party, and it was due in large part to Mr.Young. I highly, highly recommend DJ Frank Young as your DJ.

Frank did a fantastic job of including songs we requested and also adding in others that fit the atmosphere of our evening perfectly. He was excellent with helping the timeline of the evening run smoothly and was more than helpful in not just DJ-ing, but with any other little thing we needed help with during our reception. There are not words to describe how great Frank was as our dj. The dance floor was never empty and the party just kept going. He was great at staying on schedule and playing the types of music we requested. When a random song was requested by a guest, he was able to download it at the wedding and play it immediately. Frank was very responsive to our requests and did not miss a beat. He was very professional. If you are choosing a dj for your wedding, pick Frank!

DJ Frank Young did exactly what we wanted and because of him our reception had the tone we wanted. I heard from every single guest you had the best DJ and that they enjoyed him so much. He was also present for our ceremony and did a great job. He knows a ton about music and makes sure to know ideal times for the bride and groom. In addition, of all the DJs I looked at he was the only one that held his winter discount even though it was New Years' Eve. There is no review good enough!

DJ Frank provided impeccable service for our wedding, and I would recommend him without hesitation. We could not have been more pleased with the attention to detail and calm professionalism he brought. He was quick to respond to initial email inquiries, and very flexible and patient with working out music selections. I was really impressed that he tracked down the more obscure recommendations I threw at him, from 1970s Brazilian pop to vintage Western Swing, to psychedelic DC blues. He listened to our ideas and concerns for the overall feel of the evening, and made it happen exactly as we pictured. During the wedding, he worked seamlessly with the coordinator to keep things moving along, helping to orchestrate the entire evening through the various events (cocktails, first dance, toasts, exits). DJ Frank ensured that the music and the whole rhythm of the evening were perfect.

I love Frank Young. He was the first DJ I met with and I cancelled the rest of my meetings because I knew he was it right away. He is super flexible - will play a list of songs you give him or figure out what best suits the crowd himself and play that. We were somewhere in between. I tried to be really organized but I sent him an outdated timeline before the wedding and it could have been a disaster. But Frank compared notes with the venue beforehand and calmly approached me to say "No big deal, but we have a different order of events..." His calmness definitely made all the difference and we all got on the same page in 20 seconds. He also would quickly and unobtrusively keep me updated on how we were doing with time. He came over at the end of dinner to say that we were a little behind since the speeches ran long and if we wanted he would go ahead and start the open dancing before dessert to get back on schedule. Most importantly, he played great music. I would recommend Frank to everyone! Thanks to him, I had absolutely zero stress about the music - one of the most important parts of a wedding!

Frank Young was an awesome DJ! He played all of our requests and threw in some of his own which fit perfectly. He kept the party going. He is very organized and worked well with the other vendors. In addition, he is a great guy. We were happy we chose him for our wedding!

This review is long overdue (I was married in Sept 2011). Frank is absolutely wonderful! I was planning my wedding out of state and was only able to communicate with him via email/phone. He was so thoughtful and professional the entire time we worked together. Needless to say our dance floor was packed the entire night ;) I highly recommend using Frank, he's fantastic.

DJ FRANK WAS AMAZING! At first my husband and I thought we wanted to pick out all the songs but soon found we had no time for this so we let DJ Frank pick all the music and it was fantastic. I don't think I have ever seen my family dance so much. Poor Frank had to deal with my crazy family and he did it with a smile on his face. I had the best time on the dance floor.

Frank did an amazing job at our wedding. He was organized, on time, and was very respectful of my bride's wishes. Frank is the perfect DJ if you are looking for professionalism. We never had to worry about when things were happening, Frank would always appear that the perfect time and give us heads up to the next scheduled event like the dances with parents or the cake cutting. He was also incredibly respectful, unlike some over the top DJs that try and talk to much or pick songs that they like, Frank made it all about my bride. Frank did an excellent job as the DJ at our wedding. He got the party going with some upbeat music, and had my guests dancing the whole reception. He is very good at maintaining a schedule, and is very helpful. I am still getting compliments on his service.

The DJ was an integral part of our wedding - because he was going to be doing the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. We also had some specific needs - I wanted certain songs for each part of the processional, we had 2 separate cocktail rooms which needed music during the cocktail hour (which were separated by the ballroom where the ceremony was, and which they flipped to be the reception), we had a photo slideshow, we had the bridal party entrance introudctions, a speech by my Mom (requiring microphone and an announcement), a blessing, toasts by the MoH and Best Man (again requiring microphone and announcements), our first dance (which was half a slow song; then half a fast song), the parent dances, and the cake cutting (more announcements). We needed the DJ to really be the "master of ceremonies" and ensure announcements were made at the right time, beyond playing the music.

Frank did a GREAT job at all of the above. I had several changes throughout the planning process in terms of the timing of events, as well as some of the announcements, and he flexed with all of it without a problem.

The ceremony went off exactly as planned, with all the right songs played at each part of the processional (one song for the parents walking in, one song for the bridesmaids and ringbearers, then one song for me and my Dad, then another song for exiting). He worked with our officiant and Hotel Coordinator at making sure everything was timed correctly.

Frank had a second set of wireless speakers for one of our cocktail rooms and then an iPod with speakers for the other room to make sure there was music in both rooms during the cocktail hour.

Frank got all the bridal party introductions perfect, got the transition in our first dance perfect, as well as all the other announcements. He played all the music we wanted, and got everyone dancing. Everyone had a fun time out on the dance floor and he kept it going. He made sure to come up to us at the key moments to make sure we were ready for dancing, cake cutting, etc.

Frank was professional, easy going, worked well with all of our vendors, and was reasonably priced. We really appreciated the job he did to make sure everything went according to plan!

Frank was great to work with. He was very professional and very flexible - my fiance and I were not very organized and Frank was able to roll with that without batting an eye. He really helped us to keep everything on schedule at the reception. And the music he played was great - we gave him a list of some must-play and do-not-play songs, and he was really able to pick up on our musical tastes and build a good playlist from there for both the cocktail hour and the dancing.

LOVED working with Frank! It was such a painless process - we gave him some basic ideas about what we wanted, and he took those ideas and turned them into a fabulous evening of fun music. He got people excited and on their feet during announcements of the bridal party, and he didn't let that excited, joyful vibe end until the night was over. Frank was great! We had a DJ back out some months before the wedding and Frank was able to step in and made it a truly memorable occasion. He was professional, organized, and was exactly what we were looking for at our reception. When we met with him we told him we were looking for a fun dance party for our guests, and that is exactly what we got. His experience was evident in the way he managed all the different speakers and his timing of cake cutting, dancing, and entrances were absolutely perfect. Everyone was on the dance floor including, Grandma and Grandpa, our little cousins. Frank made sure that everyone, especially us, had the time of our lives.

When we were looking for a DJ, we were impressed by so many solidly positive reviews for Frank. They are well-deserved. Frank delivers as promised. He keeps a low profile (no obnoxious DJ talk!) but makes sure the party keeps moving through good music choices and progression. Our dance floor was hopping the whole time. Everybody had a great time! He was also receptive to all of our requests and respected our play/do-not-play choices. We enjoyed working with him. Frank Young is exactly what we were looking for in a DJ. He mic'd our ceremony, and was helpful in letting us know when certain events (cake cutting, first dance) were due to take place. He played the songs on the must-play list, didn't allow any that were on the do-not-play list, and took several requests. Best of all, he was able to ascertain the mood of the crowd, and through his selection kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night, much to the delight of our guests.

Having Frank Young as our DJ for our wedding was the best decision that we made. A DJ can make or break a party and he did a better job than we could have ever imagined. I have had several people tell me that they have never seen that many people on a dance floor at a reception. He knew exactly what to play and at what time. Frank provided DJ and MC services for our recent wedding, and we could not have been more pleased with him. He was able to create exactly the atmosphere we wanted, which was relaxed and fun. Nothing he did was obtrusive, as so many DJs are, and he handled the entire event with skill. His advice in planning out the schedule beforehand was spot on, and he did a fantastic job of keeping the party going. He also handled several unanticipated situations with skill. He was truly the consummate professional.

Frank was everything we'd hoped for and more! He had excellent suggestions to help make everything go smoothly. Prior to the wedding, he helped with planning the timing of specific events and worked extremely well with the floor manager during the reception. He listened to what we wanted, and delivered exactly that. He contacted me the day before the wedding to review everything and ask if we had any additional songs to add to the list. My daughter and her fiance are pretty low key people and Frank struck the perfect balance and handled everything to perfection. We gave him a list of songs that we wanted played and he managed to work in all the songs at the perfect time. My daughter said that he checked in with her frequently to make sure everything was going exactly as she and her husband wanted. Right before their last song was played, my daughter suddenly remembered she wanted a special song played. Frank managed to slip it in seamlessly. Everyone had a great time and the dance floor was filled all night. Frank deserves the highest praise - he's very professional, personable, and he thinks of everything! We highly recommend him - everyone had a fantastic time, and a large part of the credit goes to Frank.

Frank Young is a wonderful DJ to work with. He is professional, responsive, and ensured that our evening ran true to our vision. He worked hard to track down all of our requested songs, even including one that, prior to our event, only existed on YouTube! During the wedding itself, DJ Frank set the right tone at the right time and ran the evening without us having to worry about a thing. The dance floor was packed the entire night and our guests had a wonderful time - I received many complements on our (very diverse) music selection. Would highly recommend!

Frank is the absolute best!! I'm EXTREMELY picky about my music and he takes suggestions and amazingly gives you exactly what you were thinking of even though you couldn't put it into words. The level of music was perfect. You could hear it but it didn't overtake everything else. Loved it and he's really worth any amount he asks for.

Frank was extremely professional and our wedding was perfect! We gave him a list of songs to play and he found them all and included others that went right along with what we wanted. The music selection was awesome and he got people on the dance floor that have never danced in their life! When we suddenly decided to have a Limbo Contest, Frank quickly had the Limbo Song playing, no questions asked. Frank was very professional and easy to work with. He made our reception move very smoothly and spoke with us before doing any of the major things (first dance, cut cake, garter etc) to make sure we were ready and still wanted to do them at that time. He helped our reception flow naturally. He also played great music and kept our guests dancing. Frank did an excellent job as DJ at our May 2010 wedding in Alexandria, VA. We planned our wedding in about three months due to travel considerations of family and military guests that were attending, and, in that short time frame, we did not get a chance to organize the photographers with the wedding reception site personnel. However, on the day of the wedding, Frank got to the reception site early and coordinated with photographers and reception personnel so that everything went smoothly. In addition, Frank did a great job announcing the wedding party and bringing people up to make toasts and generally keeping the reception moving along. Frank also did an excellent job at playing songs we wanted to hear, at soliciting favorites to be played from our multigenerational guests, and at adding music he knew the guests would appreciate, and everyone had a great time. I cannot recommend Frank highly enough, and I truly appreciate the wonderful job he did at our wedding and how he helped us and our guests have a wonderful wedding day. I would not use any other DJ's services, and I highly recommend Frank to you for yourwedding day.

Frank did a fantastic job with our music. We have very particular taste and wanted a DJ that would be comfortable with us coming up with a really specific list of songs we wanted played. In the end we gave Frank a spreadsheet of specific songs to choose from and asked him to only select songs from that. He did a fantastic job of picking songs from our list and keeping a really good flow that made our dance floor a lot of fun. I think a lot of DJ's wouldn't have appreciated our micro managing of the music but Frank was very relaxed and rolled with everything we asked for. I'm also confident that if we had just described our taste he would have done a great job of picking songs we would like from scratch. Think he's a great choice whether you know exactly what you want or want someone to help you figure it all out.

Frank also really listened to us when we described the style of DJ we wanted. We are very low key people and did not want to have a super traditional wedding. We wanted really minimal announcements and really wanted to the DJ to blend into the background. Initially, we asked for him not to talk at all (which he was willing to do) but he gave us some good advice on where in his experience its a good idea to do some low key announcemnts. We followed his advice, he was right and did a great job of establishing the tone we wanted. Again, I think if you wanted something more formal where the DJ is more of a master of ceremonies, Frank would be great at that to. Bottom line is he listens and really pays attention to what his clients want and delivers exactly that. We would highly recommend. Our dance floor was full the entire night just as we hoped.

Frank really went above and beyond his duties as a DJ.As far as we were concerned, the DJ is one of the most important vendors, since he is the one who sets the tone for the reception. Not only did Frank pass my father's rigorous Q&A session, but he had absolutely everyone out on the dance floor all night long. The one thing that stands out the most about Frank (besides our amazing dance-party reception) is his attention to his clients. He was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. He even called me unexpectedly 1 week before the wedding to make sure everything was going alright, and whether I had any concerns about the wedding day. Now THAT's customer service!

DJ Frank made our wedding better than I ever imagined! I had so many people tell me after the wedding how great the music was and that it catered to all ages. He definitely worked in the songs and genres that we asked for and kept us (the bride and groom) informed throughout the night about what was coming up next, i.e. speeches, father-daughter dances, etc., so we'd be prepared. I was very impressed with Frank's professionalism, and he always responded promptly to emails. He even took the time to meet with us before we made any decisions about which DJ to choose, in order to talk to us about our vision for the music and put us at ease about the event. Frank Young is a wonderful DJ! From when we decided upon him 5 months before our big day, he was attuned to our every need. He was ver personal, yet very professional. He knew all there was to know about weddings: how long it would take to set up the reception hall, when the timing should begin, if the cake or the dance should come first etc. From the moment we arrived on our wedding day, every need was met and every concern was taken care of. Frank had our wishes at the fore front of his mind: he was determined to make it the most wonderful day for us. He kept careful watch over us: not in an unliberating way, but in a way that we felt cared for. We deeply appreciated it. The music was PHENOMENAL: he played all of our favorites, and did not play a song that we asked him not to. The dance floor was hoping: guests, family members, and my husband and I were having the time of our lives! You can't go wrong with Frank Young!

Frank was awesome and very accomodating to our theme and what we wanted to hear during certain parts of the evening. We love him!

I really don't think I could have found a better person to dj our wedding. I am VERY picky when it comes to music, and I didn't want the typical wedding reception songs played. So I developed a list for the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, which included some unconventional punk rock, alternative and new wave selections. Frank did an excellent job determining when to play each song, which kept people dancing all night. One of our guests who was out on the dance floor had never danced in public in his life (including his own wedding), and told us afterward that ours was the best wedding he had ever been to.
Frank also has a very professional, but very easy going personality. He is not cheesy or over-the-top. I felt as though he was very accomodating to our vision of the event, and offered excellent ideas and suggestions that I hadn't thought of. Our wedding was so special and fun, and I believe Frank had a huge part in making that happen.

Frank was great. From the beginning, he was responsive to my emails, and very helpful in every way possible. His prices were on the low end of the quotes that I got. In preparing our playlists for the wedding, there was one song that I wanted for our ceremony from an out-of-print that was very hard to track down and wasn't available online. Even when I was ready to just choose a new song, Frank did some searching, and found the song.

The day of the wedding, he was pretty much two places at once (ceremony and reception), on time, and checked in with me only as needed. No cheesiness at all, played all the songs that we wanted, none of the ones we didn't. The dance floor was packed and everyone had a great time. A few of my friends said "it was the most fun I've ever had at a wedding" and "that was the most dancing I've ever done at a wedding." I even danced the whole time (and I don't ever dance!), despite my 3 hours of sleep the night before. So, needless to say, I'd recommend Frank without hesitation.

DJ Frank Young is the best!!! He was recommended to me by a friend who also used him for her wedding and he lived up to her recommendation completely. My husband and I were very leery about a DJ, but could not swing the cost of a band. I have no regrets now-- Frank was awesome, not cheesy in the slightest, did a great job getting everything we asked for in, and was professional, fun, and very easy to work with.

Of all of my vendors, Frank was my favorite! I can't say enough good things about him He was completely in tune with what we wanted, asking all of the right questions and making sure in our meetings prior to the wedding that we both had all of the information we both needed. He was amazing. He was very easy to talk to, get responses from, and to get along with. On the wedding day, he arrived on time, looked professional, double checked pronunciation of our "hard to say correctly" names, and really kept everyone on track with the schedule. A couple of times, he even came and rescued me from everyone who kept stopping me to talk, so that we could stay on time. He was wonderful! Highly recommend him!!!

Frank was amazing to work with. Although our wedding was a mere 2 weeks ago and we just got back from our honeymoon, we have already spoken with friends who say they have never been to a wedding where they danced that much! We have already received emails from guests who have said that although they attend 4-5 weddings a year these days, this was by far the most fun because of the dancing. My husband and I envisioned a great party with a full dance floor and that's just what Frank delivered. He knew what type of song to play based on who was on the dance floor and took requests when appropriate. We highly recommend Frank. We had a great experience with Frank. We gave him a challenge to play both Indian and Western style songs during our reception and he pulled it off perfectly. Moreover, he was very professional and accomodating throughout the whole process. He was always available to answer any questions ahead of time. We have no regrets selecting him to DJ our wedding. He helped make our day perfect.

Frank Young was fantastic to work with! I didn't meet him before booking, I read his reviews, saw his awards and decided he would be a good fit. He was so easy to work with that all I did was e-mail him a list of songs, pretty much the whole playlist for the wedding (I'm particular with music I guess!), we had a phone call verifying all the other information and that was all we needed.

The day of the wedding he was so calm and professional. You could barely even tell he was there. That's what I wanted in a DJ, I don't like the mic-happy, prop distributing kind of DJ so I was pleased with Frank. He also worked well with my other vendors. He was great keeping us on our timeline and was flexible when he noticed we weren't ready for whatever was next on the timeline. For example, we were making our rounds to the guest tables when our first dance was supposed to start. Instead of interrupting us from visiting with guests, he quietly suggested pushing the first dance 30minutes.

He was really great at being able to read us as well. Another small act but one that I really appreciated was he noticed while we were taking pictures that a song came on that we REALLY wanted to dance to and after the pictures were done he replayed it for us! He followed my requests to a T and didn't play anything on my Do Not Play List and was able to get every song on my Must Play List, even though some of them were obscure.

My husband and I were thrilled with the outstanding job Frank Young did as the DJ at our wedding! We met with Frank only once several months before the wedding and described the atmosphere we wanted to cultivate at our wedding reception and felt confident that he completely understood what we envisioned. Great DJ!! Very professional, flexible, and reliable. I have no complaints at all. Super easy to work with. He played the songs off of our list and suggested great songs when we were not sure what to play at curtain points of the wedding. Frank Young did an excellent job performing at my wedding on April 4, 2009. Right from the beginning Frank showed a lot of enthusiam for both me and my bride. He was very helpful in suggesting of musical ideas for the wedding but in now way did he try to take over, he left every choice of music up to us. We heard many comments from our guests about how good the DJ was and that the music was AWESOME as well as his pesonality and professionalism. My fiance (at the time) and I searched long and hard for an affordable DJ without sacrificing quality and professionalism. Frank was ALL of the above. He was incredibly pleasant to work with. We knew he was professional when he responded to all of our emails and phone calls with extreme efficiency. He did an amazing job at listening to exactly what we wanted for our wedding and created the exact ambiance we were looking for. He played more mellow music when appropriate yet knew when to incorporate dance music when appropriate as well. Of all our vendors, he was the most impressive and our guest raved about him. Frank Young was exactly what we wanted in a DJ! He made the whole night just perfect, from the ceremony to the reception. This review is from the mother of the bride. The bride found Frank online, and I met with him. He reassured me that the volume level would not be a problem, and he was true to his word. We were able to converse during the cocktail hour, dinner hour, and throughout the evening.

Frank was good at coordinating both in advance and at the wedding. We engaged Frank's services about a year before the wedding, and I had occasion to contact him with questions during that time. He responded to my questions promptly. He gave the bride a sheet to complete in advance with the music that the couple wanted. Also, we had a special request for a song for a special dance for parents when the last child is married. Frank put considerable time into finding the right version. At the wedding, Frank was great at keeping the couple informed as to the schedule of the evening. He would tell them that the bouquet toss would be in five minutes, and various other events. He modified the cake cutting ceremony when he saw that the cake was melting in the warmish room, and the cake started to lean. He moved up the cutting before the cake fell over.

We especially liked the way that Frank introduced the wedding party, lining us all up front to watch the couple's first dance. That was a nice touch.

Frank had a very crowded dance floor. I guess that says it all. He honored all of our requests, and did it all low-key. He is a true professional, and I highly recommend him.

Frank was absolutely wonderful! I would highly recommend him for DJ services. He was very professional, played great music, and very accomodating. He let us attend one of his events before signing a contract with him, with the bride's permission, so we could see his style. Throughout our reception, he checked in with us regarding timing of events, changes to keep things running smoothly, etc. We loved the music, and everyone had a great time dancing! My husband attended a wedding at which Frank DJ'd about six months before ours, thought he was good, and asked for his card - and I'm so glad he did, because I couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our own wedding. We gave him about 15 songs that we knew we wanted played during the evening, and he filled in the gaps perfectly - there wasn't a single song he played that I didn't like. His timing was also excellent, he definitely responded to our guests - I was worried that the dance floor would look empty because we had a small wedding, but it was packed almost the entire night.

Frank selected very appropriate music to play while guests were still eating, and he played it at the right volume - loud enough to hear but quiet enough to converse during dinner. I was very nervous about the music for my wedding being perfect and had a feeling I wasn't going to find a DJ that would comply with the slightly atypical wedding music requests my fiance and I had picked. I felt that my DJ experience was going to be like a haircut experience: you go in and tell them specifically what you want, they tell you they'll do it, and then they proceed to cut your hair as they wish because they "know better," that it would still be good but not PERFECT.

Quality of service: When my folks and I met with Frank he showed up in a suit, the first sign that he takes his job seriously. I talked to him about my worries and, unlike another DJ I had met with, he made me feel valid for having those concerns and I actually believed him when he said he would play only what we asked him to play. It was such a pleasant experience to work with him over the months. He answered all questions and gave advice since we had no idea how to run a ceremony and reception. I felt confident with his services and his experience.

Responsiveness: He was easy to get in touch with--the night before our wedding I was up late and I emailed him one last thing and guess what!--he emailed me right back and said I should be getting rest before the big day. I guess he was up working hard too!

Professionalism: Like I said, he showed up to the interview wearing a suit and had an earnestness about his work--he really does take his job seriously from start to finish.

Flexibility: When several different vendors are working to get the wedding going in the right time/order it can be a tough job. Key people in the wedding/family may dissappear or give some misguided/confusing directions to vendors, as happened at my wedding--he stayed calm, which helps a bride keep her cool. Frank had gone over his plan with me several times and knew I was the authority as far as specifics went, while he was an authority working with the caterer to get things done on time and in a way that allowed for having the most fun at our reception. All I knew was what kind of music I wanted and Frank guided me in a play-by-play list.

In other words, he knew way more than I did about the job he needed to do, but he made me feel like I was in control--VERY important for a bride. I was clueless about organizing a wedding and worked with some good vendors who knew their stuff and took care of so much of the work for us. Out of all of them, Frank was the sweetest and made me feel great about myself even though I didn't always know what to do or what I wanted. If I frustrated him he never showed it, like my photographer actually did. If I asked a stupid question I didn't realize it, like I did with my caterer.

But even better than his kindness and respect, he really threw one AMAZING party for us and our guests and the music was perfect--one of the best parts of the day!

He played every song we had asked of him and really had the whole reception out on the dance floor. everything was timed perfectly and I would recommend him to anyone that wants a fun wedding. Perfect selection for our wedding. We wanted a professional DJ and Emcee and that is exactly what we received. Fast and reliable communication before, during, and after the event. Keep our event on schedule and adjusted on the fly to our changes. Keep the dance floor moving despite an older crowd of adults and many children. Many of our guests commented on what great music “we” picked. Worked very well with the service staff to make sure everything ran smooth. He played all the songs we'd requested and the ones that he choose on his own really perfectly reflected our style. Frank was extremely professional and personable throughout my entire experience of working with him. Frank was amazing and we cannot say enough good things about him. He's a true professional and his years of experience really show. Our first DJ fell through a couple months before the wedding and I was in a panic - especially since our wedding date was during a VERY BUSY time for weddings in our area. Frank replied almost immediately to my call and from the first conversation I had a good feeling about him - just his phone personality was great!

He provided two music set-ups, one for our outdoor ceremony and one for the indoor reception. The music quality was excellent and he prepared every song we asked for. In some cases, he found far better versions of the songs than we had requested.

You cannot find a better DJ than Frank. He's an absolute pleasure to work with and FAR more experienced and professional than the random DJs you could be assigned through one of the DJ companies (I talked to several of them, trust me!). His prices are very competative and worth every penny!!

My husband and I had one of our favorite bar bands play our wedding. Less than two months from the wedding date we became nervous that the band would not be able to "run the show" like we would need for cake cutting, first dance, etc. I did some internet research and Frank happened to be the well rated and available for our date. I met with Frank to explain our situation and also told him that we were terrified of having a cheesy DJ play the wedding. After meeting with Frank I knew he would do a great job and he did not dissapoint! He worked really well with the band (they had never played a wedding before) and he executed our requests flawlessly! All of guests had a blast and complimented how great our DJ was. DJ Frank Young was amazing! He played the songs we requested & didn't play the songs on our do not play list. He kept the party going & did perfect on the introductions. He was always very prompt to respond to emails or phone calls & he was available to meet with us before the wedding. He was comparably priced (maybe even a bit less) than other DJs I researched. Frank was AWESOME at my wedding!! The dancefloor was completely packed during the entire reception! There was never a moment where the song changed and everyone cleared the floor. I hate those moments at other weddings I have been to where everyone's having fun on the dancefloor and then the song changes and everyone sort of looks around and slowly leaves the dancefloor. We never had that with Frank! Frank has an easy to follow form that you fill out with your "must plays" and "no plays" that really helped me during the planning process. We decided to hire Frank as our wedding DJ after reading his outstanding reviews here on WeddingWire and talking to him on the phone - and I can tell you that it was one of the best decisions we made!

We were pleasantly surprised by Frank's very reasonable fees and that traveling 2 hours to our ceremony/reception site wasn't going to be a problem. Besides the big dances (First Dance, Father/Daughter, etc), we only had a few "must-play" songs in mind, but otherwise were pretty clueless about what we wanted to hear at the wedding. In the end (and upon Frank's suggestion), we gave Frank a list of all the music we listen to and told him to make sure people were having a good time. And that's exactly what he did. He played all of our requested songs and mixed them in with others we hadn't thought of but immediately realized we loved. He did not play any weird mixes, cut songs short, or make enticing announcements every five seconds - something we really appreciated. His equipment was working and the volume wasn't overpowering or over-regulated. It speaks for Frank that without many words from him, the dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night and I've gotten many, many comments on how much fun the wedding was and people couldn't remember having been on the dance floor for that much time ever! Frank even managed to fit in some very obscure German party songs we had requested (my side of the family is from Germany) without losing participation from the American guests.

What really set Frank apart though was his ability to coordinate with the other vendors and his flexibility in adjusting the timeline as needed. It was no problem that the reception started a little late because we overdid our photography session. It was no problem to coordinate my parents' request for a group photo. It was no problem that some of my high school friends decided to perform a lengthy skit right before the end of the reception - Frank still managed to fit in the bouquet toss before the photographer left without making it awkward. All of these were things we didn't anticipate and Frank handled them fantastically in a very professional manner. By the way, he always checked with me before changing anything, which I thought was really thoughtful.

In the end, Frank wasn't just a DJ, he was a full-fledged wedding coordinator for us that day. We appreciated his professionalism, his flexibility, and his attitude of quality over quantity. Working with a professional like DJ Frank Young will make your reception go so much smoother. There are a zillion number of things to worry about and troubleshoot no matter how well organized you are. Having a proven professional on your side like Frank is a must. Frank played every song we asked of him. He also helped organize our reception itinerary. But what was even more helpful, was his ability to juggle requests (sometimes odd ones) from friends and family members in such a way that it alleviated stress from us. DJ Frank Young is the Masters or Ceremony you want at your event.

Frank was great! We met with him before hand and worked with him on a play list. He played exactly what we wanted. He was professional throughout the whole night. He had been recommended from our reception site and we liked him immediatley since he was not part of a DJ company and promised not to be cheesy (which he was not!). When we booked Frank to DJ our wedding at Herrington on the Bay, we thought we were just getting a great DJ. The truth is, Frank pretty much handled all of our ceremony and reception festivities (with great ease and with professionalism). We had a glitch with our florist, they arrived almost an hour after our ceremony should have started. Frank kept us informed of what was going on with the florist while I was waiting in the tent for an hour with my bridesmaids to walk down the aisle. Not only was Frank there to reassure us that we would still be able to fit everything into our timetable, he gave several helpful suggestions on how to rearrange a couple of things to make it happen. And it did happen, we were still able to fit everything in. We had a childhood friend of the groom marry us (we are the first couple that he has ever married), and Frank was there to encourage and inform him every step of the way. He kept us aware of everything that was going on during the reception, making sure that everything was going the way we wanted it to. He was even so kind as to ask the bride how she was holding up in all the mayhem! We would hire Frank again a million times over. As a bride, having peace of mind on your wedding day is priceless and Frank did everything he could to make sure that both of us were at ease and happy. He is able to roll with the punches very smoothly. We can't say enough wonderful things about him. Of all of our vendors, we were the most pleased with Frank Young. And we would recommend him to our loved ones 100%.

Frank was an awesome DJ for our New Year's Eve Wedding! He really got SO many of our guests out on the dance floor, that we didn't think would dance. One of the things we really liked about him is that he didn't play some of the cheesy songs unless you requested it.

Our wedding night was packed with things to do, and at the very end we had to squeeze something else in - Frank totally was accomodating and made it work! He also helped us coordinate our exit, which was totally above and beyond the call of duty. We were so glad we had him as our DJ!

I was happy with DJ Frank Young when I first spoke with him on the phone. He was straight forward with me and he said he would take charge of keeping us on schedule with the events. He had good reviews and I would say he did a good job at our wedding. He did keep us on schedule and he would come by a few minutes before each event to let us know it was coming up. He played the music we asked him to and he also played music that kept our guest on the dance floor. After the wedding I was going through bags from the wedding and found a few CD's with my name on it; he had recorded the music from our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner onto the cd's for us! I found Frank through the internet, but wanted to meet him before booking him. I was planning my wedding from out of town, yet Frank was very flexible and agreed to meet me, my then fiance, and my parents on one of our planning visits. We all liked him from the start, and he turned out to be a perfect fit. As is typical on a wedding day, we ran late after taking pictures, but Frank was so good at adapting that not even I felt as though we were running behind. He enabled us to pick out our music and the order of our reception and he kept things going all night. Frank talked, but not too much, and he wove together our very eclectic music selections seamlessly. The dance floor was packed all night. It's been over a year and I am still getting compliments on Frank's DJ work. I am extremely happy with the work that he did on our wedding day and recommend him to anyone looking for a stress-free planning process and a fun reception.

DJ Frank was super easy to contact and very responsive. He gave us a great deal since we got married in an "off season" and was super professional during all of our correspondence. Our only disappointment was that some of the transitions between music were slightly harsh, but none of our guests seemed to mind. Though guests did say he was somewhat apprehensive to requests, which he had told us was not a problem for them to make. Not sure if this was more the guests or DJ Frank, because at the end of the night he made it sound like he had been swamped with them.

I've had the pleasure of working with Frank Young recently, as he was the DJ of a relatively large event I shot in 2007. What most impressed me about Frank was his sincere effort to connect with his clients and provide a music selection that illustrated their personal taste. His appearance was very professional and the sound level of his music was appropriate for a variety of instances (ie., dinner music was set so guests could enjoy their meals and the conversation of others around them, and the dance music was set at in inspiring sound level to encourage crowd participation.) I was also impressed with his personal contact with the other wedding vendors. He kept me up to date regarding the flow of events and was even kind enough to burn a cd for me of the incredible music he played! He is a professional that I find very easy to refer to clients. His equipment was in perfect working condition and his voice was pleasing to the ear. Frank is a class act.
