I met ramu and the crew at a bridal show at the Venus de Milo, when my sister was getting married in 2009, They stood out to me, and when I got engaged I looked them up on the wedding wire and I couldn’t be happier with our choice so, Me & my husband just want to thank DJ Imho with Ramu and the Crew for making my reception by far the best. I’ve been to a lot of weddings and no DJ compares to him , him & his staff was very professional his attitude really helped set the mood for the night and he kept people dancing and having fun. He was full of energy but not over the top, just what we were looking for. I would recommend him to anyone looking for the best DJ around. Thanks again for making our wedding fun and memorable.

From the moment the crowd walks in the door, they realize that this is unlike any event or entertainment that they have ever seen before.

Full room uplighting grabs their attention immediately as it sets the mood with it's classic elegance and cool ambiance. Next it's the Plasma's that meet their gaze. They're impressed as a slideshow greets them with pictures of the bride & groom. They're amazed when pictures of themselves from literally just a few minutes ago appear along side yours. They're delighted that they can actually text their best wishes to you directly to screen.

And this is just the cocktail hour.

"This isn't your friend bringing his I-Pod and a couple of speakers" says DJ Imho. "We bring professional, quality equipment to every event we are involved in. Multiple turntables, sound mixing equipment, a variety of speakers, up-lighting, large LED video monitors and other equipment allow us to customize the sound and experience for your reception whether you are using a large hall or having a more intimate affair".

FAQ for DJ Imho [What Can the Crew Do For You?]

What music genres are in your collection?
50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Acoustic, Big Band, Classic Rock, Classical, Country, Dance, Folk, Funk, Gospel, Hip Hop, Jazz, Motown, Oldies, Orchestra, Pop, Punk Rock, R&B, Rock, Soul, Strings, Swing, World
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes
Describe your DJ style:
A good DJ/MC should be adept and able to change styles to match what the crowd demands. I am interactive, subtle, polished, and classy all when the situation demands.
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
The short answer to this question is no.

I have over 750,000 titles of music and growing daily. When it comes to music, our motto is that we most likely have it, and if by some miracle we don't, we will get it for you.

We have all different genres of music from Classical to Top 40, and everything in between. We also have a wide variety of international music collections as well.

I am typically welcoming of any request both from the bride and groom as well as the crowd, but I do reserve discretion as to whether the song will be appropriate for the event.
What is your usual attire?
Typical attire for a wedding DJ is a suit and tie or tux, but that is often something that is dictated by the party itself.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
Short answer, no. If we do not have a particular song that is requested in advanced by the newlyweds, we will most like acquire it before the event date. If for any reason we cannot acquire the song (e.g. a foreign, self produced, or out of production title), we will ask that you have a copy available.
How many other DJs do you work with?
I am typically the only DJ/MC, but I bring at least 1 assistant with me to coordinate additional services that are provided. (e.g. slideshow pics, up-lighting, or our optional Photo-booth). For larger events, more assistants are required.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
I wouldn't say there is a minimum amount of time for DJ'ing any event, especially a wedding. Typical wedding receptions run for about 4-7 hours. The shortest wedding reception I have played would be around the 4 hour mark. The longest being about 8 hrs.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Not only are we able to meet, but I try to insist upon it. For me, the meeting before the contract is very important, and serves multiple functions. First off, you get to see exactly who I am, what I look like, and what I do in person. Secondly, and conversely, I get to see the same with you, the client.

It is a great feeling to know that not only do you have a great repoire with the client, but that they also feel the same way about you.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
Yes, we specialize in all events, no matter what the denomination.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
I insist upon it. For us, the Do-Not-Playlist is the most important piece of our blueprint. While the amount of music and videos that we have are never at a loss, for us it is our job to know exactly what you do not want to hear.

There is so much "cheesy" music that is played at events that are left over from weddings of yesteryear, and I would say 9 times out of 10, this is what ends up on our Do-No-Play list. (e.g. Chicken Dance, Electric Slide, etc) We definitely want to know what music you "hate"!
Do you bring your own equipment?
Of course. Who's equipment do you think I would bring? LOL

Yes, we bring in all of our own equipment. Speakers, lighting, visual displays, photo-booth, etc. Nothing is rented leased or borrowed. It's all ours.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We have all types of specialty entertainment equipment. Below is a list of what is typically brought to each event.

Powered Speakers (2-4)
Powered Sub Woofers (Dependent upon event size. If Needed.)
LCD or Plasma Screen Displays
RGB Up lighting (Enough to light up the entire room. Typically 20-30 Fixtures)
Professional Photo-booth (Upon Request/Contract)
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
Typical setup time is around 2 hours. If ceremony is included, it may be slightly more. I like to coordinate this with the venue beforehand.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
No, we will adapt to your size constraints. I have Dj'd weddings as small as 50, and as large as 500+.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
No. I would find a sign or banner advertising my services at a private party to be tacky. I do carry business cards for those who ask.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
While I do Emcee the events, the amount of interaction is used at my discretion. It's really what the crowd and event demands. No one wants an emcee who loves the sound of his/her voice. The main focus of the event from the DJ's perspective is that everyone has fun, and the the dance-floor is packed. How this is accomplished is something that changes with each event.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
Interaction is the key to motivating a stagnant crowd. I have many weapons to battle the lax crowd at my disposal, but playing the right music at the right times is the DJ's first line of defense.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I am like a camel. I rarely take even a bathroom break. LOL

Don't get me wrong, I definitely appreciate a meal at an event for myself and assistant. But even for dinner, I typically eat at my DJ booth/station. My only job for the night is as the DJ/MC. I take personal pleasure in making the event entertaining and fun. Timing can be everything in this particular line of work, and being ready for anything is the right image to project.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
There is always music playing.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
In the unlikely event that I am unavailable due to extenuating circumstances, a qualified replacement DJ will be provided. I work in conjunction with several reputable DJ's who will fill in.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
No. Not if I can help it. It is important to devote the day solely to one client. You never know what eventualities may arise on a particular event, and your attention needs to be focused on a single client. The day is too important to risk over extension.
What is your overtime rate?
For weddings, our overtime rate is $100/hr
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
This is rare, but If a wedding is more than 75 miles round-trip, there is an additional fee of $100.00. Additionally, if there are any exorbitant travel fee's (e.g. Ferry or Boat Charges) it will be added to to final cost of the event.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
The deposit amount is 1/2 of the contracted price.
Additional Advice
While we specialize in weddings of all demonimations, we additionally service all types of events and functions. With a collection of over 750,000 music and music video titles, we can provide the perfect sound and entertainment for any event. While other DJ companies center the funtion around themselves, we want each event to reflect and shine on the uniqueness of the crowd. Each event is an extension of yourself. The music only sets the scene.

It is a not so well kept industry secret that most weddings are held on the coveted Saturday night/evening. In addition, the majority of weddings are celebrated from Spring till Fall. This is the peak season for all wedding vendors.

If you plan ahead, however, and avoid these 'peak' times for wedding receptions, you can save quite a bit on your event in all vendor categories.
