Paul is very organized and professional. Was on top of the things he needed from me. Which is great because, with all that is going on it helped that he knew what I needed to do, because I didn't half the time. The music and timing at the wedding was great. I do not have one complaint. I would absolutely recommend him. I actually have to my other 4 friends that are getting married later this year.

If you are looking for a true professional who is personable, knowledgable, and affordable, then I highly recommend that you hire DJ Paul.

My now husband and I hired Paul to DJ our wedding ceremony and reception and we could not be happier with our decision. From the start it was very evident that DJ Paul is extremely good at what he does. He was very organized at all of our meetings and was extremely forthcoming with anything that we needed without nickel and diming us like most other DJ companies will try to do. I think what impressed me the most with Paul is that he was very good about keeping an open line of communication. Paul will not be a vendor that you feel like you have to chase down, he will be the one to call you! My husband and I both had very hectic schedules around the time of our wedding with outside obligations, so it was very reassuring to know that Paul was on top of his job at all times. This took so much stress off of my husband and I. Paul is very thorough and really strives to give you exactly what you want. He truly wants his clients to be happy with the results no matter what.

Paul is also very versatile with what he is capable of delivering. With our wedding, we really weren't sure what to expect from our guests. We had a very small wedding and it was primarily a much older crowd. The majority of our guest traveled into town and on top of everything most hadn't seen each other in a long time. We really didn't expect much dancing going into it, but weren't sure. We told Paul that we just wanted him to read the crowd. If our guests just wanted to socialize then we wanted him to provide subtle background music that would allow the guests to just talk. And if the guests wanted to dance, then he could pick up the pace with the music. Our older crowd definitely decided to socialize and reconnect with each other. Paul instantly knew this and played the appropriate music accordingly.

Overall, we couldn't be any happier with our selection of our DJ. Our ceremony music was flawless and our reception went off without any hiccups. Our guests raved about how perfect our music was throughout the whole event and how much they enjoyed DJ Paul. Our guests also raved over "The Shoe Game" that Paul suggested that my husband and I play during the reception. In addition to impressing our guest, Paul also made an impression on our venue. Our wedding coordinador was so impressed with Paul that they asked if he would become one of their preferred vendors.

Paul, thank you so much for everything you did for us. You are wonderful at what you do and you made our wedding day so personalized and special. I will definitely be recommending your services to anyone that I know who is looking for a DJ and if we ever need a DJ in the future you will be our first call!

DJ Paul has been in the business for years, and def knows what he is doing. He always has helpful suggestions, and his responsiveness is amazing!! Also, the value is Amazing, and the quality of service is Amazing as well, compared to other DJ's I met with :)

DJ Paul was set apart from the get-go for two reasons: price and portfolio. He has very reasonable rates (we got him for well under $1,000) AND he actually shows samples of his work on his website! We couldn't find any other DC-area DJ who had videos of him/her in action. These were the primary reasons we met with him in the first place. Upon meeting with him, tho, my fiance and I felt confident that even though he charged a lot less than others we had talked with, DJ Paul would be a professional and reliable vendor, someone who would really put us and our needs first. DJ Paul made it clear that we were the ones in charge as clients; he didn't try to impose his will for our wedding music experience on us. As the big day approached DJ Paul kept in touch and went over every last detail with us, from the pronunciation of the officiant's name to the special songs that would be playing throughout the night during our entrances, cake-cutting, last dance, etc.

On the day itself he showed up early (as he said he would) and brought a lot of energy (but not the cheesy kind). His attention to detail was right-on: he kept us on track by sticking to the timeline we had established, he announced my MOH's recent birthday so she could have the spotlight for a moment, which really touched her, and he even announced the weather conditions in our honeymoon locale at the end of the nite to make our guests jealous, haha! I got compliments both during and after the reception on DJ Paul because, as promised, he kept the dance floor going. That was all I wanted, and I got it.

If you want someone who is professional, knows what he's doing, and will get even the most reserved people on the dance floor, I recommend DJ...

Paul was a pleasure to work with. It was clear from the very beginning that he wanted nothing more then to make us happy. He was adamant that making our reception flow smoothly was his top priority and was in constant contact with me to ask questions and get to know us so that he could be prepared on our special day. My husband was skeptical about hiring a DJ because he thought we could handle things on our own but at the end of the night we were beyond thankful that we had Paul there to announce the menu choices, special dances, speeches, surprise cake, etc. I wasn't sure that our friends and family would be up for a lot of dancing but Paul had everyone out on the dance floor for the majority of the night. He also forced all of our guests to sign the guest book (that's not an understatement, he really did force them, it was great :-). His energy and enthusiasm were contagious and as promised, he helped to make our reception a truly memorable evening. He made sure that we stuck to our time line and kept the entire evening running smoothly. I would highly recommend using Paul for any special event. He is reliable, fun and easy to work with. Dj Paul was AMAZING from start to finish! I could not have asked for a better dj. When I contacted Paul for the first time he responded to me within minutes. I had spoke with two other dj's and it took them days...even weeks to get back to me. Dj Paul responded to every email and phone call very quickly. First time meeting dj Paul my fiance & I hired him right on the spot! Not only is he a great dj but he cares about his client's. He takes his work very seriously and makes sure the bride and groom are happy. Dj Paul was very flexible with meeting with us. On my wedding day he was there on time and set up. His is equipment is very nice and he provided microphones which we needed since my ceremony was outdoors. Dj Paul did an awesome job with the music and all of the introductions. My fiance and I were on a budget and Paul worked with us and made everything happen :) I have NOTHING negative to say about dj Paul. I recommend him to ALL future brides! You won't be disappointed :)

Any bride & groom to be should be lucky enough to have a skilled and professional DJ provide the entertainment for their wedding. The best thing about Paul is his professionalism and flexibility. He makes it your day by mixing and spinning any song you wish to dance to, and will work with you on everything from play lists, introductions and speeches, and mixing two or three beats that you enjoy to create something unique. Paul even went out of his way to find several obscure tracks we found on YouTube. Out of all our vendors, he was the most responsive, and most dedicated to our Wedding Day. Not one of our guests left the dance floor once they hit the dance floor, and the energy in the room was contagious. He understands crowds and his audience, and will help make sure the spotlight is on you during your wedding day, which is so important. You are guaranteed to have a blast at your wedding with DJ Paul.

DJ Paul was very attentive to details and really helped walk me through planning the sequence of events in a way that allowed me to create the exact mood/feel I wanted for my wedding. He kept my guests entertained and followed through with every detail we discussed in our planning leading up to the event. DJ Paul was an excellent addition to our ceremony/cocktail hour and reception. DJ Paul responded quickly to my phone and email inquiries, day and night, and always made me feel like I was his number one priority, even though I know he was managing many other events in the same time period I was planning mine. Paul was very flexible, and willing to make any changes I requested. Paul arrived hours before my ceremony to ensure he had ample time to set up his equipment to meet my every request.

Paul was great! My husband and I decided to interview Paul because his services were very reasonably priced, and as soon as we met with him we knew he was the DJ for us. Paul is very professional, but also very friendly and easy to talk to. He really took the time to get to know me and my husband, and how we envisioned the entertainment on our wedding day. He asks a lot of questions, but uses everything you tell him to make sure he plays exactly the right kind of music, and makes your reception everything you want it to be. He is very flexible, and will make time to talk to you whenever you need to. He really helped make our wedding reception amazing, and we definitely recommend him!

Paul is very experienced and professional. He gave us a lot of suggestions and support prior to our wedding party. He was very quick getting back to us whenever we had any questions.
At the party he was flexible enough to keep everything running smoothly despite our last minute changes. Several of my guests came to tell me how much fun they had and how great the DJ was.

DJ Paul was refered to me by my husbands close friend. Not only is he extremely affordable, but he is extremely talented as well. We had two meetings before our big day which made my mind feel at ease at a time when everything was stressing me out. He not only is good at what he does, but he makes you feel very important and involved with everything he does. He even played a special song for my three year old son, which went over very well at our reception. If your looking for a responsible, caring, and very well organized DJ, Paul is definitly your man! DJ Paul worked with our budget and accepted the job for what we were able to pay him. He traveled a long way to DJ our wedding. He DJd our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. He made sure he brought enough equipment to have music indoors and out. He arrived early due to recent severe weather and brought additional help for no extra cost. He was sure to have the exact songs we wanted for our ceremony and reception. He kept in touch throughout the planning process frequently through phone calls and emails. DJ Paul was great. He really works hard to help put together a play list that reflects you as a couple. If you have a list of songs you want played rest assured he will play every one.

Paul is a GREAT DJ!!!! He was there early and stayed late, he wore a tux, was very professional, and the cost was great. He was very quick to answer all of my emails, played phenomenal music and got everyone pumped up and dancing before we even entered the room. I will use Paul for all of my DJ needs and would fully recommend him!

DJ Paul was simply AMAZING! He did a great job! The introductions were perfect, he had the crowd pumped up and on their feet for our introduction and he kept the dance floor packed the whole night! I just wanted to take the time to say that DJ Paul was extremely professional from the first meeting we had with him up until and including the wedding. Throughout the process he always responded to us promptly when we had questions, and in a professional manner. We were very pleased with the price, as it was well worth the value of his services. He showed up on time, and dressed professionally. I have gotten so much feedback from my guests regarding my wedding. Everyone had such a great time, and the dance floor was always packed. Paul was excellent when it came to making announcements, and very enthusiastic. We especially liked how he seemed to blend each song into another. He did a great job with time management during the wedding. I would highly reccommend him to anyone looking for a DJ, and would definately use him again.

Paul was great to work with and his price was very reasonable. Here's a couple strong points.

1. He's very organized and on top. Overall email response time was fast and he asks a lot of questions.

2. He's able to read the crowd well and know what songs fit for the moment.

3. He didn't eat dinner during our whole reception and just paid attention to his work as our DJ.

4. Fantastic price. Paul gave us a quote that was reasonable and much more competitive than other prices we got.

Overall, my wife and I were very happy with Paul and highly recommend his services.

Paul is an amazing DJ especially when it comes to weddings! I've worked side-by-side w/ him and there's no question of his professionalism and his ability to keep the crowd smiling! Compared to other DJ's I've worked with, Paul had some of the lowest prices I've seen for what you get! I wouldn't recommend anyone else, DJ Paul will be at the top of my list for even my own wedding!!!

We had originally contracted with another DJ for our wedding, but when a family emergency came up he referred us to Paul.

To put it simply, for the last couple months since our wedding we've had friend after friend tell us it was one of the best parties they have EVER been to . . . not just the best wedding party, the best party period. We gave him a playlist about 3 times too long, but he selected just the right mix of music to get people on the dance floor and KEEP them there.

I would highly recommend him, with no reservations.

Having Paul DJ our wedding was the best decisions we made! The dance floor was PACKED the entire night. Paul knew exactly what to play and when to play it- his music selection was fantastic- he gave us exactly what we asked for- a perfect wedding reception! Paul was an absolute wonderful DJ! We couldn't have been happier with his service and his level of professionalism. We had very specific types of music that we wanted played and music that we did not want played. Paul was extremely cooperative with us and made sure that everything we wanted was put into action.

We made told Paul in advance that there was certain music that was not to be played even if it was requested by guests. He did a great job of adhering to our requests and was very courteous when guests requested music that was on our do not play list.

I highly recommend Paul as a DJ, you will certainly not be disappointed! He was so easy to work with, fun and a true pleasure to have as part of our wedding. He gets five a star rating from us!!!

We were so happy to have Paul at our wedding. We had never met him before, but he was recommended by a friend. He worked so hard to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. We had some "interesting" last names in our bridal party and Paul really made sure to get each one perfect. The dance floor was filled all night as he provided something for everyone. We still get many compliments about the music at our wedding and we would recommend Paul to anyone who asks. He is such a great guy and a fantastic DJ, he really made our event special!

DJ "Pumping Paul" is neurotic about making sure his clients get the best service. He strives to play the right songs at the right times for best result. We had the usual music transitions in our wedding - pre-ceremony, ceremony, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and then dancing DJ Paul was meticulous in helping us plan and masterful in his delivery. We and our guests had a wonderful time - in part, thanks to DJ Paul!!!

DJ Paul did a great job. I think we gave him pretty loose guidelines and he did a great job with it. He played all of the songs we requested and avoid the songs we did not want to hear. He played appropriate music during the lunch/dinner and then he got the guests up and moving during our Sunday afternoon reception.

I wish I could give him 6 stars in the Value. The price was beyond fantastic especially for the great job that he did. Thank you, DJ...

Paul did a great job at my wedding, the dance floor was packed throughout the entire event and I got several comments from guests saying that they loved the music selection. Paul was easy to work with beforehand and was great about being in contact with me prior to the wedding to make sure he had all the details down. I would hire him again, I just need another good excuse for a big party.

We have no regrets or second guesses about hiring DJ Paul as our DJ and MC for our wedding reception. He kept the entire night flowing and all of our guests were thoroughly entertained with his song selections. He was able to improvise flawlessly when some things did not go as planned or scheduled. I would recommend DJ Paul to all of my friends for exceptional quality and cost.

Paul did an excellent job at my wedding. He was very professional and had a great variety of music. Got a lot of positive feedback from guests. The only thing that I would say negatively is that he was hard to get in contact with. I sent him a list of songs via email that I wanted played at the wedding and he never got them because he says he never really checks his email all that often. But overall, great experience and I would recommend him to anyone needing a DJ.

My husband and I were terribly disappointed with DJ Paul's services at our wedding.
During the planning process I felt that he required more of my time and attention than I was able to (or should have had to) give him. He never took notes during our meetings or phone calls, so each conversation started with the same questions again (such as our first dance song, where he would be in the room, etc.)
He asked me to send him a list of the songs we wanted for each part of the ceremony, each event of the night, and some suggestions for dances as well as a list of the names and relations of the people who would be announced into the Reception. I thought this was a very reasonable request and I put together an organized Excel spreadsheet with all of the things he asked for and gave it to him at a meeting. He told me that the names were out of order on the list and that I'd have to redo it in the correct order and send it to him again. I was incredibly displeased with this because he had not specified any order or organization when he asked me for the list and I thought that it was very unprofessional of him to request that of me when re-writing it using the information I gave him would have not taken much of his time.
During the last phonecall that he and I had before the event (9 days before the wedding) he once again asked me several of the questions we'd already covered several times, and he, for the first time, told me that he has an assistant that helps him with his equipment and his assistant also requires a Vendor meal. I felt that 9 days before the event (incidentally, 5 days after I had made the final payment and finalized all of the details with the venue/caterer) was too late to tell me he had an assistant who needs his own meal. When I told him I couldn't do this because he told me too late and it was not in our contract, he tried to make me feel guilty for it (which I also found unprofessional). I told him I'd see what I could do and my husband called him to talk about it. We allowed his assistant (but were unable to arrange a vendor meal) because Paul told my husband that he had severely injured his knee and would have to have the help carrying his equipment, though we did see him run several times during the night.
His performance during the event was even worse. He got 2 stars for quality because his timing for all of the ceremony music was ok and his equipment was decent. However, once the reception began, he became a nightmare. He had checked with me on 3 separate occasions how to pronounce my mother's last name (it is unique) and he asked her about it moments before he began introductions. However, he still pronounced it wrong when he introduced her. Also, we were upset when we stood outside of the reception and heard him instructing our guests to wave their napkins around in the air and hoot while we walked in. We were particularly upset because during one of our meetings he had mentioned that he sometimes does this and we said, "No, that’s not our style, please don't do that."
He had also asked that we write a time line for the night so he knew when we wanted to do everything. Again, this made sense to me, so I put one together. When he read it, he criticized it, but did not help us rewrite it. It didn't matter anyway, because he did not follow it and my husband (who should have been sitting at the head table and enjoying his wedding reception) had to consistently get up, cross the entire room, and tell the DJ to move on to the next event.
At one point he played a song that I had told him a story about during one of our meetings (explaining its significance to us - and it was the only song with a story). He did not recall what I had told him, so in a room full of our family and friends (who knew the real story) he made one up on the fly that was confusingly incorrect.
At the end of the reception he told our guests to go home and played the Looney Tunes "That's All Folks" theme (which we had also asked him not to do). Paul then came up to my husband, asked him how everything was, and extended his hand for a tip and stared at my husband. Since my husband is of good humor and was still in a relatively good mood (it was his wedding night) he played dumb and said "Thanks. Goodnight."

TLDR: If we hadn't paid up front, we would have fired him before the event and just...

I first met Paul as he was entertaining at a local club. My first thought was "This guy can really mix the music"! After getting to know him we began to work the wedding circuit together. Not only can he make a memorable wedding day for ANY couple, his unique personality makes him the number one choice for any event!

Paul is sincerely a nice guy and legit professional from the old school way of thinking...the customer comes first. Bottom line a good guy overall, and one would be very pleased to have him at their event.
