Paul was incredible. We received so many compliments on his work. He played all the songs we requested and met all our expectations! We planned our wedding from Washington state and he was very quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. He handled all his own equipment and needs, we didn't have to do a thing! He is so friendly and kind, I would recommend Paul to any future bride! He was such a pleasure to work with and made the experience so much easier.

Paul is FANTASTIC! He was super friendly from the very first meeting, I was very comfortable with him right away. In fact, I signed the contract on our first meeting, even though he encouraged Mom and I to look around--I didn't need to. Not only was I impressed with his professionalism, I was impressed with how reasonable his services are. Throughout the whole planning process, he was always an email away, and he made sure to add every song that we wanted. He was very knowledgeable and knew a wide variety of music styles, especially when guests wanted to make requests. During the reception, it was awesome, when the dancing lagged a little, he was right on the dance floor getting our guests up and dancing again! Paul was FANTASTIC!!! We met him because he was a preferred vendor through our venue and we were so impressed with him. The other DJs that I contacted were slow to respond and very overpriced. We got compliments from so many people at our wedding on how great the music was. He was even out on the dance floor with us! He showed up early and ran the show perfectly.

5 stars does not seem adequate to descibe the level of awesomeness that Paul brought to our wedding. I read his reviews online, and then met him in person in the planning stages, and I could tell her had a great personality and would be really easy to work with. However, Paul went above and beyond the duties of a DJ. He got the whole crowd (even my grandmom) up and moving. He even at one point was out on the dance floor Break Dancing. Yes you heard it, there was breakdancing at our wedding. Amazing. I feel like for how amazing Paul is, he is practically giving away his services, his prices were the best around!

The music at the ceremony was timed perfectly, he had great music selection at the reception and kept the party flowing, and he is by far the most affordable DJ we found. Paul was wonderful! He coordinated with the other vendors, which allowed my wedding to run as smoothly as possible. DJ Paul is the only DJ you will want for your wedding! He is FUN, PROFESSIONAL, RESPONSIVE,and overall FANTASTIC! Paul did our wedding and he was the best DJ we could have asked for. Paul Peterson is definitely the DJ you want at your wedding. From the beginning he has been professional, prompt and reassuring. I knew from the moment I met him he would be a great DJ and a good person. Paul provided me with emails from twenty of his previous brides and each one responded with only positive feedback. Paul takes an honest interest about you and your special day. Choosing the person to help coordinate your most important day is not easy. And choosing the person to read your crowd and play the right music is one of the most important decisions you can make. Your DJ runs the show and creates the mood of the reception. Paul was always available by phone or email for questions. He also gave great advice. When the day came Paul wore many different hats and coordinated with all the other vendors to make sure I had no worries about the timing of things. The music was perfect and he played my requests at the right moments. He was able to please the young and the old. My guests had such a great time dancing. Many of them raved about him and his wonderful work ethic. So if you’re in the market for a great DJ, you won't be disappointed with Paul.

Due to circumstances, we ended up booking another DJ, so I can't speak to how Paul is during your wedding, but I can certainly speak to how he is through the "researching for a DJ" process. I can honestly say from day one, Paul is super responsive, so kind, and very accommodating. I'm based in the Bay Area and because we didn't have the opportunity to meet Paul in person, he went out of his way to actually create a video to show us, showcasing his outgoing personality, detailed information on his equipment, and an example of his emcee voice during the reception - a very thorough video. If you haven't yet decided on a DJ, I recommend giving Paul a chance, you will find that he definitely has your best interest in mind.

I had the honor of working with Paul at a recent wedding at the Admiral Kidd Club in Point Loma. As a Wedding Coordinator, the majority of my time at a reception is spent coordinating with the DJ. Paul went above and beyond in his hospitality and flexibility. He was more than a joy to work with and I not only did the guests and bride & groom have an absolute blast because of Paul, but so did I. Paul is awesome! My wife and I were undecided on using a DJ for budgetary reasons. We found a couple of listings online, and Paul was the first we met with because of his rates. I knew from the initial meeting that he was our guy. He made it clear that his approach was to make the event as smooth and enjoyable for everyone. He followed our desired format/song selections to a T and went above and beyond by explaining ahead of time the time frame and process and introducing himself to those giving toasts, dancing - mom, dad, best man, etc. With Paul you get the best DJ at the best rate. He could justifiably charge much more, but he is truly invested in making the reception experience memorable for everyone and takes the most pride in top notch customer service. Choosing vendors can be a long, difficult process, so save yourself a lot of time and headache by making ther right choice for your DJ. Hire Paul. Period.

Paul did our wedding here in San diego on March 14th, 2010. He is the best- so fun- he made us laugh- all my guests had a blast! He had the 80 year olds out there on the dance floor! If you're getting married, and you don't at least consider Paul to be your DJ, you're missing out on an AMAZINGLY FUN party!

My expectations for Paul's DJ'ing were very high. He came very highly recommended from some friends of my wife (we were just married 12/10/09). They told us he was super fun, knew how to get EVERYONE on the dance floor, keep the party going the whole time, and just a pleasure to work with.

With the high praises I heard about Paul, I thought all the talk was too good to be true. But when I saw him doing his work in person, HE BLEW MY EXPECTATIONS OUT OF THE WATER! I was expecting a fun time, with some dancing and whatever, but I could not have expected how amazingly fun he made our reception. EVERYONE was dancing (including Paul at some times :). EVERYONE had huge smiles on their faces, having such a great time. There were times I just had to sit back and take in how good he was at keeping the fun and dancing going. He also worked as our MC and never missed a beat with introductions, announcements, etc. Words can't express how much I enjoyed Paul's work during our reception.

But that wasn't all Paul did for us. My wife and I got married at the Temple in Heritage Park in Old Town San Diego. It's a beautiful, simple temple, but no sound system and a little difficult for everyone to hear when the place fills up. Paul showed up for our ceremony and put a wireless mic on me and our friend (who was performing the ceremony). It worked great! Paul had a schedule of our ceremony and controlled when each of our mic's were turned on so that everyone got to hear every single part of the ceremony we wanted them to hear. After the ceremony, he got over to the reception and had the party going by the time the guests arrived.

To top it all off, Paul was very inexpensive and had very reasonable deposit. When we started comparing DJs (as Paul himself encouraged us to do), there was just no comparison, financially or energy-wise. Paul charges so much less than every other professional DJ we looked at, and gave us so much more than we could have expected from someone charging 3 times as much.

You can tell Paul loves what he does. He made it his mission to give us the most memorable day of our lives, and he did it. I can't thank him enough for the energy and professionalism and know-how and, most imporantly, fun he put into our special day. I'll remember our reception and the huge role Paul played in it forever. THANKS PAUL!

I was a guest at a wedding (around 2001 or so).... this guy stood out. He didn't steal the show, he just made sure that there was a show.

Fast Forward to 2009. Who is this guy? He is the guy that keeps the party going! His mission is to keep the party going with the music. It doesn't matter if Aunt Ethel and Uncle Fred aren't dancers, They will be when Paul is the DJ.

Most recently I was the Best Man in a wedding. Paul was the consumate proffesional. He made sure that we enjoyed ourselves. Heck, there are only two wedding that I didn't leave early from, 2001 & 2009.

Talk about truth in advertising! When first delving into the abyss of wedding vendors, Paul caught our eye with his very competitive price. To be honest, we had a big wedding to plan and not such a big budget so we took a closer look. After nothing but great reviews and a surprisingly upbeat initial conversation, he was our guy.
I have heard nothing but excellent stories and hugely positive experiences from the reception and I have to attribute the upbeat attitude and overall fun to Paul. Not only did he have seamless transitions through the different stages of the night, he was responsive to the crowd and made sure everybody was involved and having fun through the different events. Through all this, he wasn't just a statue in the background, he was dancing along and getting down both behind his gear and on the dance floor when appropriate. Hiring Paul to be the DJ for our wedding was one of the BEST choices we made in the whole planning process! From our first phone call to him, where he immediately told us his availability and UNBELIEVABLE rates, to our first meeting with him, we were SO IMPRESSED! He is SUCH a CLASS ACT and knows exactly what he is doing!! As a matter of fact, we gave him a rundown of how we envisioned the ceremony going, with music, etc...and he was able to adapt to changes ON THE FLY! We did a sand unity ceremony that took A LONG time (unexpectedly)! He jumped right to, so no one had any idea it wasn't planned, and played our wedding song. The ceremony was flawless! And, he was BRILLIANT! He also handled playing a video we made to show all of our guests before the ceremony got started. Then, at the reception, he ran the whole party perfectly! Our caterers broke a whole load of plates which put dinner about 45 minutes behind, and he didn't skip a beat. The party continued and none of our guests even knew there was any kind of hiccup! He played all the right music as people ate, he talked and said all the right things on the mic, and then when the time came to get everyone up and movin' and groovin'...he got everyone doing just that! From our oldest guests to the youngest! Some of our BEST pictures from the night capture just how much FUN everyone was having thanks to Paul! He made SUCH an impression, our guests near and far are still asking about him, and saying they would hire him and fly him anywhere to DJ their event! We told them...that would be the SMARTEST choice you could make! He was SO ORGANIZED, and SO TIMELY, you could just count on him for everything during a time that is SO, SO STRESSFUL!! What a relief that he was available, our special day would NOT have been the same without him!! DJ Paul was the dj for my wedding and he was awesome!!! He was very professional with all the details beforehand. He went to the hotel and met with the coordinator. He met with us at times that were convenient for us. He played music that appealed to both young and old. All of our guests have said how much they enjoyed him and the music. Finding Paul was a HUGE blessing!We had originally booked another DJ company for our wedding and luckly found out early that it was a huge mistake. We found Paul while searching reviews of San Diego DJ's to make sure we made a better second pick and we did He was absoultely amazing. From the first meeting we were both 100% confident in him and excited about all the support he offered us with the previous hick-up. He made sure all of our worries and concerns were set aside quickly and he went well above and beyond the call of duty throughout the whole planning process.
I have to be honest and say that i was a picky bride. I knew exactly how I wanted things, some of which Paul had never done before, but he stepped up to the plate and made everything perfect! He even went beyond my expectations when he met my mom and I to record a special message to my future husband which was played before I walked down the aisle. I have to say I couldnt have done it without him. I searched for days to find someone who could help me record it and when i had no luck I called Paul and without any hesitation he said "I'll do it, lets make an appointment for you to meet with me".
On a one on one basis Cody and I both admires how excited Pau lgot about his job and you can tell through his entertaining as well. Our guests had a great time. Everyone is still commenting weeks later about how wonderful the DJ was and how much fun they had.
