My wife and I were referred to Senor Amor by our venue owner who sang his praises and said he was the best DJ out there. Though we contacted many DJs we found that most had copy and paste responses and just seemed so impersonal. Senor contacted us right away and asked for an initial meeting. He was willing to travel anywhere to meet with us and went out of his way to come close to our home. We knew Senor was the right DJ from the start. He was so down to earth, so open, and really focused on what our needs were. My wife and I really felt like he was listening and understood that we wanted something unique. He had great communication skills and was so helpful with questions and concerns. We felt confident that he was going to make this the best day ever. We met Senor once more at the venue before the event. He had so many suggestions and great ideas as to how to maximine the space and really get people dancing. The day of the event he was so professional, so helpful, so fun, so understanding, and so reassuring. He picked the perfect playlist filled with songs that we had suggested and those he felt the audience would respond best to. We got so many compliments on the music choice and DJ. Since we didn't really have much structure to the event, he really was the star of the show (without using the mic for his own personal stand up routine). My wife and I definitely recommend Senor for any event. He really helped make this night the best of my life.

As a couple raised on a healthy dose of new wave, punk, and goth, we were looking for a wedding DJ that was not your typical “wedding DJ.” The challenge was finding someone who understood true alternative music (the distinct difference between “new wave” and “80s hits”), but could also be a great master of ceremonies, and make the whole night a fun, memorable event. Senor Amor is that cool cat. Once you get over his unique moniker, you will find a professional, knowledgeable and sincere performer that truly loves weddings. He is not limited to the above styles of music, and can mix up of any musical recipe of tunes – he is well seasoned in everything from funk to exotica, disco to big band standards. Senor really took the time before the event to understand what we wanted, and delivered a perfect event based on our tastes.
My husband and I made the right choice to hire Senor. We love music and had a lengthy song list for him. The end result Senor did a great job playing everything we wanted played at our wedding. My guest raved about the music he played, especially during our dollar dance and the music in between. He was professional and lots of fun to work with. Highly recommend Senor!

DJ Senor Amor was an old friend with whom we had lost contact, but, in our search for the perfect wedding, he was put thru as much scrutiny as every other vendor. Welcoming as much, Senor urged us to come down to the Hotel Edison, a fashionable downtown hotspot, where he regularly "spun", and he wowed us with his specialty brand of old school funk and soul and r & b. By all appearances, Senor had it all; taste AND personality which would make for terrific ease over the arduous months ahead. During our many weeks working together, Senor never disappointed. Indeed, he was an incredible creative collaborator and a superlative project manager. He was thorough, accessible, punctual, communicative, and he always kept his cool, undeterred by obstacles of which there were few, generous with his vast knowledge and good sense. The response to our wedding was universally ecstatic. Senor's work was extraordinary as a DJ, but his experience in the wedding business was also invaluable, lending his priceless skills as a coordinator in a couple of scary, emergency moments. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Senor Amor. He is a wonderful DJ and a one-of-a-kind human being.

DJ Senor Amor was AWESOME! He was helpful, polite, professional...everything you could ask for in a D.J. Not to mention he is one spunky guy! I would totally recommend him to anyone who wants a 1st class D.J. You won't regret it.

Senor is the way to go! Not only was he an amazing DJ with a varied and extensive playlist but he also became a fast friend to my Husband and I. He's got great style across the board. He also continued on for an extra two hours with no problem. Simply the best!

I have specialized in weddings for over 15 years. During this time, I have learned the importance of coordinating with all the parties involved, including the bride and groom, the wedding planner, the photographer, videographer, caterer, and banquet manager to ensure that all the most important moments of the day are documented and come off without a hitch. I tailor the play list to the specific wants and needs of the bride and groom by ensuring that I integrate the “must plays” as well as the “must not plays” into my own ever expanding master play list. All the while I manage to play music that is hip, fun and sometimes atypical from my music library that includes over 15,000 albums and cd’s that span the 1920's to the latest hits.
Aside from weddings I have DJ’d parties for celebrities such as Courtney Cox and Jim Carrey, wrap parties for movies such as About A Boy, Solaris and Austin Powers, and along with partner DJ Cyrano, has helmed The Molotov Cocktail Hour on LA’s KXLU since the late eighties.
