DJ Taylor Haycox

I could not have had a better DJ for my wedding than Taylor. He was so professional and easy to work with, often answering emails within the hour! I explained to him that Matt and I wanted our wedding to be one big party and that is exactly what it was! I had several guests come up to me and say it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to and that is in HUGE parts to Taylor. I would absolutely recommend him to everyone I know! He made my wedding day better than I could have imagined!!

Taylor worked very smoothly with me when I planned my wedding in only 5 1/2 months this summer (and the wedding was on a holiday weekend to add to the business). It was great that Taylor was very quick with communication and flexible in working with us. Taylor was very professional and well liked by our guests! :)

Our wedding reception was a blast and DJ Taylor Haycox was the key to the success. DJ Taylor is professional and a pleasure to work with. He played fantastic music that kept the guests dancing all night long. Numerous guests approached us to let us know that it was the most fun wedding reception they had ever attended! We cannot express how AWESOME Taylor was at our wedding. We still have guests contacting us, telling us that our wedding was the best they have been to, and I tell them that Taylor was a big reason for that. We had an age range of 1- 90, and Taylor played music that inspired all of them to dance! Taylor was quick to respond to any concerns, and made sure that all of our requests were met. He also added his unique touch during various parts of the ceremony and reception, making the wedding more special. A good DJ will make the party, and investing in a professional like Taylor will ensure that your event is successful, and memorable.

Taylor was absolutely wonderful! He provided music for not only our reception, but also for our ceremony, which was on the beach, so he was very flexible in figuring out how to provide us with all of the music we needed. We had a blast at our reception and everyone danced their butts off and Taylor's dj skills helped make that happen!

Taylor was a pleasure to work with during our beach wedding in the OBX! I was completely stressed out during the wedding planning process but I knew if I had any questions or concerns, I could email Taylor. He was super quick at responding to my emails and let me choose the music for my ceremony and reception. He added some songs and it ended up being a party I will never forget! He did a fantastic job doing the ceremony on the beach. He played the best music! He also got everyone on the dance floor during the ceremony! As soon as Taylor turned out the lights and turned on his crazy strobe lights, the dance floor got packed! He even got my dad and mom to dance which is pretty impossible! He allowed me to do different songs for the wedding party introductions which was a highlight of the wedding! Taylor is very gifted at what he does and we were lucky to have him as the dj at our wedding! I loved the music so much that I emailed Taylor and asked him if he could make me a CD with all the music from the ceremony and reception. I told him I would pay him whatever for a CD! He was so amazing and sent me 5 CDs and labeled them with the songs for free! Now I get to relive my wedding everyday;) Taylor was so professional and nice and fun and I would use him again as my dj in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything Taylor! My sisters can't wait to use you for their beach weddings in the future! I know this is goodbye for now but I know I will see you again soon! I am very picky but would highly recommend Taylor to anyone having a wedding. He is the best!

Taylor did an amazing job! Everyone came up to me afterwards and told me that they had never been to a wedding where so many people were on the dance floor for the entire time! He was very flexible and he usually responded to my emails within hours, sometimes minutes. I have said that my wedding was the funnest wedding I have ever been to and much of that is because of Taylor.

I can't express how happy my husband and I are that we decided to use Taylor for our wedding. I have been to many weddings where Taylor was the DJ and have had a blast at all of them (and by many...I think it is around 9-10 now). I have always been impressed with Taylor's ability to keep the dance floor moving and I recommend him to all my friends and any bride I meet!

Taylor was an outstanding DJ. We decided to focus our money on making sure our wedding was fun and everyone would be dancing, Taylor was the perfect DJ for that. He was always available and responsive to emails. He is very helpful when it came to picking songs, helping you figure out the tone for your wedding and being comfortable with him. He was a great MC throughout the night, he knew what would get people on the floor, when to take breaks with slow songs for people to relax and he judged what the crowd would love. We had a mix of young and older people at our wedding, and Taylor hit all o the right notes to making sure everyone had a great time! We've gotten tons of compliments from everyone saying how great Taylor was and that it was the best wedding they had been to - I credit that purely to Taylor. He was fantastic! Even as the bride, I couldn't stop dancing, it was amazing and I highly, highly recommend Taylor to anyone planing a wedding or event. He's budget friendly, will work with you on ideas for dances or will just go with the flow. If you want your wedding to be a great party and celebration of your marriage call Taylor!

Mr. Haycox is amazing! He's very professional in everything that he does. He responded to all my emails immediately! AND he made sure that everything happened exactly when I wanted them to.

Taylor Haycox made my wedding reception perfect! A DJ is such an important part of a wedding reception (and ceremony if needed) and Taylor was spot on with everything we wanted. He played the best music and everyone at the wedding was on the dance floor almost the whole night, even people that do not normally dance. He knows just the right music to get everyone dancing and having a good time. He is also very professional and follows the specific itinerary you go through with him, even the changes you make if you need to later on. He's fabulous! I can't recommend him enough!

Taylor was an excellent DJ that came highly recommended and was extremely organized. Not only did he email us numerous song recommendations and had them organized in specific genres, but he had every single one of our songs on hand and remembered to play them all during the reception. Taylor was able to get our celebration started and finished it out with a bang. Regardless if your OCD like me, Taylor will make you feel comfortable during this stressful time and be a great contact source for other vendors (caterers, photographers, wedding planners, and so on).

My husband and I cannot recommend Taylor highly enough! He was prompt to answer all my emails/questions throughout the planning process and also met with me twice to go over details of the day! We were pretty picky when choosing a DJ, because they can definitely make or break the atmosphere of your wedding...and we are so glad we made the choice we did. During the ceremony our rings were temporarily "misplaced" (oops!), and when our officiant asked for the rings they were no where to be found. Thank god my husband and I have a good sense of humor, but while we were waiting for the coordinator to bring them to us...Taylor chimed in with the theme song from Jeopardy! Everyone cracked up laughing and thought the whole thing was planned because it was too perfect! He turned what could have been a potentially disastrous moment into one of the most memorable of the night. We have no complaints and will recommend him to friends, family in strangers as the best in Hampton Roads!

Taylor was wonderful! We had friends ask us if they could get a cd of all of the music he played at our wedding. All we had to do was give him a couple genre's we like and he went with it and kept everyone dancing all night. We had so much fun. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! He has DJ'd probably 3 other weddings that we have been to and has consistently been great. With all the headache of planning a wedding and having to rely on everyone to do what they are supposed to, we never had to worry about Taylor, it was such a relief.

DJ Taylor Haycox was by far one of the best parts of our wedding! For meetings before the wedding he was very flexible with his schedule and even drove out to meet with us at our house which was great since we do not have much free time. At the wedding he did a fantastic job as an MC and played exactly the music we requested from him to keep the party going! Without him our wedding would not have been nearly as fun. Best music I have ever heard at a wedding in my life. We got married a few weeks ago and every single one of our guests came up to us telling us how wonderful the music was. Taylor knows how to read the crowd and had everyon on the dance floor the entire night! We even rapped out to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air!! Amazing!! We are so elated that we went with Taylor! My husband and I hired Taylor for our wedding in September and we couldn't have made a better decision. Taylor wet above and beyond our expectations, considering every last detail. He took the time to get acquainted with the wedding venue to make sure he had the proper equipment for the ceremony and reception. He even suggested a lapel mic for the ceremony so all the guests would be able to hear our vows. We hadn't even though of that!

Taylor was extremely professional and accommodating. Both my husband and I have eclectic musical tastes ranging from indie to country to rock and hip hop. Despite the variety of requests we threw his way, Taylor was able to handle them with ease and keep the guests on the dance floor. He was also able to take special requests from the guests. Taylor was a great DJ to work with for my wedding reception. He understood all of my instructions and followed them perfectly. He kept the dance floor hoppin even better than I expected. He also did not charge as much as other DJs I researched. So, I think I got a great value for what I paid. If I ever need a DJ again, I would definitely hire Taylor.

Taylor was awesome. My best friend had him DJ their wedding a couple of years ago and he did such an amazing job that we booked him for our July 10, 2010 wedding. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with DJ Taylor Haycox for our wedding. In short, Taylor's skill, responsiveness and his ability to captivate the audience helped make our wedding.

First of all, Taylor's price was incredibly generous for the amount of leg work he put into preparing our playlist. He allowed us to pick our own songs, which was nice in and of itself. He also worked with us to play sound bites for each of our 8 wedding party couples, he was able to accommodate our request to segue from song to song, he let us send him remixes that we wanted played--and he did it all within our very busy schedules.

Furthermore, Taylor has a natural way of engaging the crowd that really helps to get the party started. He can accommodate a variety of demographics and make them all feel engaged, which is crucial for a wedding crowd.

All in all, I'd highly suggest considering Taylor Haycox for your wedding or event. We got tons of remarks from people saying that our wedding was the most fun they'd ever attended--I think Taylor deserves a lot of that credit.

Taylor was great from start to finish! He came recommended from our event planner & I can see why. He always emailed or called back promptly whenever I had any question. He is worth every penny! His pricing was competitive with others in our area for a high quality DJ. When I asked him during the reception if a friend could sing us a song he was super flexible, even though it was unplanned he worked it in quickly and it sounded fabulous. He kept the party going late into the night, took our guests requests. It was perfect volume the entire night too - not too loud during cocktails/dinner, and a great volume for the dancing. Choosing Taylor was probably one of the best decisions we made. He was so helpful, so nice, and so professional. He made the best DJ because even though his setup had to be front and center, he never made himself the center of attention. And he did the best job of playing songs that would get people to dance (including my 86-year-old grandmother!) as well as playing nice jazzy/slower songs so my husband and I could dance (when we had the chance). A lot of my wedding was not exactly what I wanted, but Taylor was an very nice exception - he was exactly what I wanted for my wedding. I would (and have) recommend him in a heart-beat!

If you are looking for your guests to have a great time, then you need Taylor. We all had so much fun! Everybody was out on the dance floor dancing and laughing. It was great! He really knows how to keep the party hopping!

DJ Taylor Haycox was very professional and did a great job at our outdoor September 2009 wedding. He provided all the services promised and had the whole wedding party and guests dancing late into the evening.

He walked us through the process, provided us a list of popular wedding songs including intro, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, and dancing songs. He found an unpopular father/daughter dance song and played it. We live in Chicago and he played Go Cubs Go and Sweet Home Chicago as our departing songs. Very personalized service!!!
