Wedding Cookbooks! This is such a fun way to bring two families together (yours and his). In your invitations, ask for your guests to reply by sending you back one of their favorite recipes (woman of the family normally responds). Collect all recipes, and create your own creative cookbook document describing each person and putting any extra notes that your guests mention about their recipes in quotation marks; be sure to incorporate lots of pictures and love stores too. I liked too make chapters and sections in my cookbook: one of my family with all the branches in bunches (mother's side and father's side), his family, and one titled "Friends and Food" (this had our friends, the preacher and his wife, our co-workers/bosses, neighbors). I made my document on an Apple iMac in Pages, and everyone loved it. I went to Kinko's/Fed Ex and they were going to charge me $700 for the service: 40 copies (one cookbook per family or couple), in color, single sided pages, and spiral bound. I checked out websites that specialized in cookbooks for family reunions and they were even MORE expensive. Then I came across this website: www.docucopies.com. It is the best! Be sure to convert your document into a PDF file, and then upload it to there website. You can customized from there, and even make your own fancy cover.
