Document Event Video + Photo

We hired Chris Justus to film our May 2009 wedding back in January 2009. I liked his website and was excited to have our wedding filmed by him. Before the wedding Chris was very hard to get in contact with. I left numerous messages on his phone, and emailed him several times to no avail. Finally I filled out the contact us page on his website, and he finally replied by email, and assured me he would show up on 5/23/09 to film our wedding. He did show up to film the wedding, and that is the last time we have had any contact with him. Since our wedding day, I have tried emailing and calling him numerous times. He never picks up his phone and never returns any calls. He has never responded to any of our emails. I have pleaded with him (through heart wrenching emails) to just give us our wedding video, still no response. I have even wrote that I will look aside to all the time that has passed, and to just please give me the video, no harm done... I am beyond sad to know that we lost $1,000.00 to this scam artist. Even sadder than that is that we will never get to see the footage from our wedding. Please brides and grooms to be, do not hire this crook. Your wedding is too important to be trusted with this scam artist. And Chris, if you are reading this, please, contact me and just provide us with the service and product that you were contracted to complete.

Just wanted to add to charchris' review and warn all couples out there to stay away from this vendor!!! We hired him for videography for our April 4th 2009 wedding, and paid him $732 before the wedding, he showed up and shot the four hours he was contracted for, and then vanished. There are at least 8 couples that I know of that are in the same situation, I'd not more. We are currently trying to still find a way to get all of our footage, even if it's not edited. If you would like to be added to our mailing list and get updates please email me your name, wedding date, and how much chris had taken for pre payment. Hopefully between all of us we can get our memories back! If you have used chris and have received your finished product I would love to hear from you as well to hear about your experience. HE IS STILL IN BUSINESS and is still running off with people's trust, emotions, recorded memories, and money. We have tried everything, (going to the BBB, etc.) and we are still the losers here. Chris is a very talented videography! He was very polite and easy to get along with on the wedding day, AND before and after. :-P When we received the edited video I was surprised by how many great moments he caught. Some that I thought I had been the only one to notice, and others that were things my hubby and I would have completely missed if not for the video. It is a heart warming reminder of our day and one that we will always cherish.

Our video is wonderful and came out better than I expected. The DVD did take longer than I anticipated, but Chris more than made up for it in the end and kept in contact with me.

I have enjoyed working with Chris Justus from Document Life who has documented some of my favorite clients and one of my most special and memorable weddings so far; the clients are deaf/hearing impaired & the majority of guests were as well. Chris put his heart and soul and passion into that video and it shows. It makes me cry (and everyone else who wasn't even there cry) when I watch it and that this is THE difference between an artist and just someone who films your wedding.My clients love Chris and the unique way he truly does "document" the day. His work is all modern but always capture the spirit and fun and romance of the day in a timeless way that feels wonderfully nostalgic:).I consider Chris a great wedding team partner and a friend and always look forward to working with him.
