Dolce Strings

The Dolce Strings played our civil union wedding and were simply lovely. Their music was the topic of conversation - how beautiful they played the music we chose. My partner and I would highly recommend them.

We hired Dolce Strings after we had already contracted another musician for a wedding, and I am so glad that we did. We had them play a collection of contemporary music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Their music was beautiful and added a wonderful irreplaceable ambiance to the whole day. I mostly corresponded with Violet and she was beyond helpful in answering any questions I had, and was able to find the music for the songs I had requested. We also were able to meet with them a month before our wedding to listen to some of our song selections and we were absolutely blown away by their talent and sweet personalities. I would strongly recommend Dolce Strings for anyone looking to add elegant music to their wedding or event- I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Dolce Strings have a great list of music to choose from, and the will play samples for you to help you decide on your ceremony music. They were all so sweet, and helped us create a beautiful ceremony. They also sounded amazing!

We hired Dolce Strings for our July wedding and they were incredible! They played our ceremony and cocktail hour music, and the music was absolutely beautiful. Violet was so easy to work with and made some excellent suggestions for a few of the ceremony songs were struggling with. They played an eclectic mix of traditional songs as well as modern. I loved hearing Coldplay, the Beatles, and even Metallica on the strings! All of our guests told us how lovely our music was, thanks to Dolce. Highly recommend them for your wedding!

We had a string quartet play at our church ceremony and the girls did an amazing job. They were very professional, super nice, and even learned to play a few songs for us that we really wanted at our wedding. No fuss, just beautiful music. I was so proud of myself for not crying at my wedding, but when the quartet played "Here I am Lord", both my husband and I almost lost it on the alter. It was amazing. We'll never forget it. Great price for amazing quality.

Dolce Strings performed beautiful music for our wedding and reception. They performed both classical and pop selections...all beautifully. They were very flexible and accomodating to our song requests and were the perfect choice for our setting (Deer Path Inn in Lake Forest), Violet and Katie were most professional enjoyable to work with and we recommend Dolce for any formal event.

Dolce Stings…what can I say? It was about 2 months to the event and I did want a string quartet but it was out of my budget. I looked and researched many companies and I just simply could not afford it. But they had a special and they worked within my budget so we hired them. They did a bang up job…people are still talking about the musicians, they have NEVER heard something so beautiful. Typically African Americans do the radio songs down the aisle with all this fancy footwork but I NEVER liked that so this added a special touch of class to the event. Katie, Violet and Lili were the best!

I had such a wonderful experience working with Violet Muser and Katie from Dolce Strings. My email inquiries were always answered the same day I sent them. I can't say enough about how willing they were to partner with me in making my day an event to remember. They were so open to trying things and were so helpful with their own suggestions. I mean, I walked down the aisle to "Crazy for You" by Madonna. How great is that? My guests all thought it was amazing because the arrangement of the song was so tastefull and subtle that this 80s pop song sounded classy. I loved it. If you are smart, you will book them- it will make your day unforgettable. Not only are they excellent musicians, but they are professional and just really nice people to work with. Highly recommended.

Dolce Strings was fabulous!! I grew up playing the violin, so I knew I always wanted to have a string ensemble at my wedding. They were so flexible, they were able to recommend perfect selections according to the ambiance and environment I envisioned, and they were willing to negotiate price! I got so many complements, and had my engaged friends at my wedding asking for their contact information so they could hire the group. Loved them and would recommend them again and again.

Dolce Strings is one of the best group of musicians you can find in the Chicagoland area. Professional, great repertoire, and very easy to work with. They also have a professional Bose PA system they can play through which also sets them apart from the rest. Call as early as possible because they book up quickly.

I've worked with Dolce Strings in the past and continue to do so because they are very professional and one of the best string quartets in the country. Whether you hire them alone or as a quartet, they are top notch and well worth the money.
