My husband and I cannot even begin to say how happy we are that we chose the Don Vicente for our wedding. Both the ceremony and reception were beautifully done. We knew we loved it, and our guests only confirmed it, saying again and again how great it was. Tessa and Conchetta are terrific to work with. Right from the very first planning stages, they put us at ease with their qualifications, experience, and competence. They are also just friendly, fun, good people! The charm, history, and beauty of The Don Vicente cannot be underestimated. My husband and I considered many places - country clubs, big hotels, etc., and none of them matched the warm intimacy of the Don Vicente. And the food, prepared by the Chef Trish is absolutely exquisite - so much better then the typical fare served at most weddings. We had a wonderful experience with the Don Vicente. It is a great venue for a wedding of 100 people or less. The food is great, and the venue is very unique for Florida. It has a lot of old world charm. Because the place is so small, there are pros and cons with that. The pro's are they keep their prices down and you can get a great value for a quality event. The cons are because the are small they do not have staff like your traditional event planners. They ask that you have a planner there that day. We hired someone we knew to help us as our "planner" for the day and it worked out GREAT. People raved about the location. The team at the Don Vicente is really flexible and laid back. If you are a type A bride, you might struggle with how laid back their approach is. For me, it was right up my alley. Also, this place photographs SO WELL. Our photos are amazing. If you are looking for a smaller, unique wedding - you should check this place out.

Picture perfect place. I loved the look, and feel of the hotel. Its stunning, I would do it all over again, however i had issuses with communication time and time again, But everything went smooth, just need work on communication and profressionalism. Still loved my wedding.

Beautiful venue in a great setting! We wanted (a) a place with some history and charm, (b) somewhere where our out-of-town guests could feel at home and walk to nearby bars, restaurants, etc., and (c) an affordable price. The Don Vicente Inn, Ybor City, was perfect. Our classic vintage theme worked perfectly, our guests had a blast, and the event didn't break the bank. Tessa and Damon are very nice, although it did help a great deal to have a wedding planner assist us with details. We held an evening ceremony in the lobby area, with an all-dessert/cocktail reception in the event/bar area. An after-party was held in their "speak-easy" style basement bar. I have no doubt our pictures will come out fabulously, which were taken inside and out on the streets of Ybor. I would highly recommend this venue if you have a wedding planner to assist you.

I can’t say enough about Don Vicente and the staff. We had our ceremony and reception there. We also had our guests stay at the hotel after the wedding. I have spent months searching for venue that had classy and vintage feel but was also very accommodating and warm. I am probably one of the pickiest people when it comes to food, but food here was amazing! Their Chef Trish is a magician! For our chicken course we wanted them to duplicate Chicken Bryan from Carabbas and were little worried about it. We were so surprised at the outcome! Chicken tasted better than at Carabbas and portions were much bigger!! Steaks were juicy and we have received so many compliments on the food from appetizers down to signature drink! What makes this place so amazing, besides its wonderful décor and aesthetics, is truly its staff. Our families and friends traveled from out-of-state and many flew in from other countries and they couldn’t stop talking how wonderful Don Vicente staff was from the moment of checking-in all the way through wedding and up until the check out. Everyone felt like family. Tessa is exceptional and a true professional, her staff is amazing, polite and most importantly courteous. I will be forever indebted to them for making my wedding absolutely perfect. I wouldn’t have changed one thing! If you want your wedding guests treated like royalty, Don Vicente is your number one choice in Tampa!

Spare yourself the regret of booking your wedding event here!! It is a shame because building is beautiful; however, it is run by a bunch of drunks and circus clowns. They do not provide the services they agree upon. The staff and so called “wedding coordinator” (Tessa) are absolutely unorganized and unprofessional. As far as the food, it is not worth the money. If you do not want your most memorable day ruined, then do NOT book here!! It is not worth the spoiled memories or money! Many local vendors will also tell you how unorganized this place is.

I emailed them to have my wedding there and it took them almost two weeks to reply. Then, I just heard from my friends that she had booked there to have her wedding ceremony, and they booked another wedding overtop of hers. The owners daughter Tessa decided to book a wedding overtop there wedding, and was extremely rude to them and didn't want to help them in anyway. My friends were really excited to have their wedding there, and now the are having to find another place to do their wedding, because the Don Vicente Inn lacks professionalisim and proper scheduling.

Amazing venue to host a small, intimate wedding. The Don Vicente is beautiful, classy, and magical. I highly recommend hosting your wedding at this facility. It is extremely affordable, and you can make the ceremony as simple or elaborate as you would like. I could not be happier!

The costs were reasonable. They did an excellent job setting up the reception area. They set up all the table cloths, napkins, menus, even my wedding cake. The bartender was great! They are a really friendly staff and very flexible. Everyone that came to my wedding loved the venue. It is a very elegant and unique place.

The Don Vicente staff was a pleasure to work with in planning my wedding. They were friendly, professional, accommodating, and had obviously worked on many weddings and special events. The location is beautiful and particularly well-suited for a small to mid-size wedding (up to 100 guests). We really appreciated the convenience of having our family and close friends stay at the Don Vicente. The only complaint we heard was noise at night, but that is probably to be expected given the Ybor City location.

You dream of the perfect wedding and thanks to everyone at the Don Vicente that is exactly what we had. Every little detail was given attention. We could not have asked for a more perfect day! Thank you all so much!!

The Don Vicente is a beautiful location and I could not have dreamed of a more perfect wedding! The staff was very attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. Tessa the event coordinator was more than accomodating and great to work with. The food was fabulous, my guests are still raving about it and most say it's the best food they've ever had at a wedding! If I had to do it all over again I would not change one thing about my wedding day :)

The folks at The Don Vicente Inn were amazingly responsive during my entire planning process leading up to the wedding. I am sure I drove them nuts with all of my e-mails, but they responded with lightening speed to all of my inquiries. The venue is stunning! My pictures are amazing because you just cannot take a bad picture in this venue! The accomidations are gorgeous and all of my guests enjoyed their stay. The staff truly did an amazing job! I love this place and will be back for anniversaries to come!

Phenominal service, atmosphere, staff. A GREAT time was had by all and everyone has commented on the ceremony, food, and hotel.

The food and space worked out perfectly for the kind of reception we wanted to have (a party with lots of mingling and music!). We weren't into sit-down dinners, so we did an action station buffet and Tessa did a great job planning the layout for us. We had a large (8 pc.) band and about 100 guests, so there was no assigned seating. Not even seats for everyone. I was so scared about this, but it was perfect. We wasted no time on multiple courses and got straight to the good stuff. The whole main floor was used by our guests for sitting and chatting, lounging, eating, drinking, dancing, and smoking (out on the back porch). It could not have been better for our group! Everyone loved the food and I think the price was reasonable. The only reason I can't give them an "A" is because we had some issues with the rooms. Its' complicated, and in the end, it's fine - but my one piece of advice would be this - If you are having a Saturday wedding and you want to rent the whole hotel (which is best), make sure your OOT guests who want to stay on Friday night too book EARLY!!! If another party comes in and books the whole hotel for Friday, your two-night guests may choose to book at another hotel, which may leave you paying for empty rooms on Saturday, or giving them up to strangers. It was way worth it, and all worked out fine, but we had some issues that I could have done without.

The Don Vicente did an exceptional job in our reception. The food and service was fantastic and all of my guests were extremely impressed and happy. The went above and beyond to ensure the our event was a success.

This hotel was not only beautiful, but also historic. I loved that this hotel has such an ambiance and a grande staircase that is breathtaking! The rooms are also very nice and you can rent out the rooms to make it more memorable for guests as well. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a site for wedding and reception!

Even though our wedding was 3 years ago, I was so happy to find the DV. We had originally looked at The Crosley Estate because we loved the old world feel it had but the cost was too high to just rent the place. The DV has everything right in one place and for a great price. We didn't have to do much decorating, didn't need transportation since everything was taking place there. The rooms were very nice, esp. since we were the only ones staying there. The food was INCREDIBLE! It was nice that I didn't have to bring in my own chairs and the whole hotel makes for really nice photos. Tessa was wonderful to work with and they were very flexible with making changes to the contract to accommodate our needs. they helped with set up and helped to send back the linens the next day. Everyone there is so nice and laid back. Our wedding party had the whole hotel to ourselves that night and some people were late owls and went exploring through the public parts of the hotel, esp. the downstairs lounge, and the night staff was very nice about that. Thank you Tessa for making our wedding a wonderful memory!

The Don Vicente is one of my favorite venues in Tampa. The atmosphere is incredible! It also photographs amazingly well and that is important on your wedding day! Also, the staff and food are top of the line!
