Donna's Cakes

Donna's cake's really are a work of art. The team there is so very friendly, and willing to help come up with ideas and schemes for color combinations etc. I would definitly reccommend them for not only your wedding cake, but any occasion!The prices are affordable, and very reasonable for what you get!

da-licious!!!! loved them!!! everyone we dealt with was incredibly nice! not to mention super-helpful; they were really willing to work with us to make it budget-friendly. the cake they made was beautiful and so yummy!! exactly what we wanted and so much less expensive than we could have imagined! i would definitely recommend them!! (they don't have an e-mail acct, which threw me for a little loop at the beginning, but don't be discouraged - once you call or visit, you'll be hooked, too.)

Donna's Cakes did a lovely job with our three-tier wedding cake. Of all the cake places we went to for tastings, Donna's had the best tasting cake and for the lowest price, too. Donna was very nice in person and very low pressure. I brought in a couple of pictures to give her an idea of what we wanted, and she also had some books of her past work to look through. There wasn't as much variety in flavors or fillings as some other places, but we had already decided that we wanted vanilla buttercream on vanilla cake -- and this really was the best we found!

The cakes this store supplies are gorgeous. Simply walking in the door shows you that as they have many on display that are pretty amazing. I was somewhat shocked to find that they offer only 2 flavors of cake. Chocolate or Gold. I always expected that TV-inspired moment of going in for a tasting and getting all these wonderful kinds of cake to nibble on..much to my surprise I was offered a single plate with one yellow piece and one chocolate piece, both with the same frosting. Nevertheless, the cake was very tasty and I am a fairly simple girl anyway and don't need 20 flavors to choose from. They allowed us to bring in our own cake topper and they took a swatch from the bridesmaids dresses to match the color, which was nice. The color ended up looking more blue than the purple I gave them but it was beautiful and it really didn't bother me. All in all, it was a beautiful cake, and it tasted good, so I was happy.

They did our wedding cake and it was absolutely delicious!!!!! We had a 3 tiered cake; it was very simple! It was all white with roses sprinkled all over the cake!!!!

Cake was amazing both flavor and design. Donna was such a wonderful person too! Highly recommend. Very good prices too.

I showed Donna a picture of a cake I really loved and she knew exactly how to do it and make is specially for me. It was georgeous and the taste was unbelievable. I was soo happy with the way it turned out

When I went to the shop their cake was very tasty and moist and they had wonderful displays of their cakes. They told me I could chose one of their designs or I could show them a picture of what I wanted and they would replicate it. I ended up ordering a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and showed them a picture of what I wanted it to look like. The cake I got did not have a raspberry filling (it was plain white frosting), the cake was dry, and the decorations on the cake looked like they were done by an amateur and did not look like the picture I gave them. After the wedding after much arguing with them, they finally gave me half my money back.

If you want a delicious, beautiful, reasonably priced wedding cake, I recommend Donna's Cakes in West Roxbury. For less than about $2.50 a person (and that included a delivery charge from West Roxbury to Winchester, MA) we had a great cake. And we had a custom design created just for us. I can't imagine why anyone would pay any more for a wedding cake, since ours was perfect at that price.
