Budget brides and grooms I suggest this company. The photographer is so easy to work with. I'm not sure how well he does with a photolist. My sister hired him on a leap of faith. I research her photographer and found him on craigslist. He showed up on time and took a lot of pictures. My only suggestion and to make sure you can see all the pictures and not ones he picked out. We were never specific as to what was important to us. But he's sooo workable I'm sure he would accomodate nicely. I'm not using him for my wedding because we hired someone else with a different style. But even after the wedding has been over half a year ago he's still very helpful.

Yes, Deeba. What can I say? He's a friendly young guy who loves photography. What more can you want in a wedding photographer. Hes not all frills and fluff like you see all the time. Pretty real guy who doesnt ask you to do cheesy wedding photos. If thats what you want, look elsewhere. Deeba was all about capturing "the moment" without being obtrusive. That was my favorite part. I can easily say that I sometimes forgot he was even there!! But somehow he managed to take all the photos and they all look great!

Of all of our wedding vendors, Deeba from Donya Photography was probably the easiest to work with. From booking his services, to ordering prints, he was great at following through on my questions and keeping me in the loop. The day of the wedding, he and his assistant were extremely professional. They didn't over-direct the photos, but still made sure we got all of the shots we wanted - a great balance. They were great sports for trekking all over beach with us on a windy day! We were delighted with the photos we received - a great mix of candid shots, important moments, family, friends, and so many little details. We've received so many great compliments on our pictures, but I think most of all, Deeba was able to capture the spirit of the day. Looking back at the photos instantly brings me back to those moments in time - what more could you ask for in a wedding photographer?

About Donya Photography

Mmm, the about me section. My name is Deeba Yavrom. I suppose I can spend this part of my website talking about how I love photography, how it’s a passion of mine, how I started by finding my dad’s camera tucked away in a closet when I was younger, and that it was love at first sight....and although all of this is the total cliche of wedding photographers, it’s all true. But more imporantly, its how I cemented myself as an established photographer that really matters, not how I started out. I strive to focus on documentary photography and have completed many projects in that realm, specifically with the homeless communities in Davis, CA and the Eritrean communities in Oakland, CA. I have also been the photo intern for major newspapers such as the Oakland Tribune and the Miami Herald.

I’m a pretty relaxed guy, I like to laugh and like to make people laugh, although I'm told my jokes aren’t always that funny , haha. I love my job. Why you may ask? What other person gets to say they get to do what they love doing, get paid for it, and do it on someone else’s wedding day, easily one of the happiest days of their life. Weddings are all about smiles, good fortune and joy. Sweet gig if you ask me. And this is exactly the attitude I take going into a wedding, and this is exactly what I try to capture. The job that I give myself is to allow you to remember your wedding day, but more so, to relive it. When you see your photos, I want you to feel like you're back there, eager and excited to marry the one you love. To remember the laughs, the quirks, the people, the feelings, the atmosphere, and the intangibles that only you experienced. If I did that, then I consider my day a successful one.
