Maleana Cosmetics was the perfect choice for all my beauty needs!With choosing my beauty vendor from overseas - great communication was essential and Dorys was fantastic with responding to all of my enquiries and phone calls. I sent pictures ahead of time to the Ladies and they were able to review my dress and get a picture of the look I was going for. My trial session was a lot of fun with Liz and we immediately connected and I was comfortable with my look and she was open to change anything on my wedding day. Dorys was very helpful and was able to order orchids for both my hair and maid of honor's hair at the last minute. Liz arrived on time to our North shore venue for preparation and was ready to go with excitement and enthusiasm! It was so great to have her be a part of our preparation and with my happiness and anticipation building for our ceremony, she sweetly calmed me down as she applied her magic. The cosmetic products looked lovely and were able to withstand the heat in our outdoor ceremony and reception. I highly recommend getting an air brush to assist with the humidity. Dorys did a wonderful job. I loved my hair and make up. I wanted a natural, soft look and she was able to give me that look. I gave her pictures of the hairstyle I wanted, and she duplicated the look. She was very easy to work with and did a great job. She had an assistant that also did a great job on the hair and make up for my mother, mother-in-law, and bridal party.

Dorys was very professional and did a great job! I brought my mother with me and we both were very happy with our results. She was also very helpful over the phone, as I had to plan everything from the mainland. My only concern was that the price did seem high, though I added false lashes and extensions, but she was kind enough not to charge for a blow out. I would definitely see her again for a formal event!

I loved my hair and makeup! It was simple and classy and perfect for my daytime wedding. Dorys was really great to work with and I am very happy with her work.

Dorys Foltin was wonderful! I first did a trial run several days before the wedding, which was on 09/26/09, and she did a fabulous job. Dorys was professional, personable, and knew what I wanted. I had some pictures to show her for my hair and makeup, and I was amazed because she was right on. After the trial session, I was able to see pictures that she took of me. She informed me if I did not like how my make up and hair looked in the pictures, to let her know and that she would have no problems changing the style. I did change the style just a little bit the day of the wedding, and thanks to her I looked beautiful! Dorys and her assistant showed up on time, and with 6 bridesmaids, 1 maid of Honor, 1 flower girl, and my Mother, they were all able to make them look beautiful. I would definitely recommend Dorys! She's amazing!

She was pregnant and going to give birth 2 weeks before my wedding. I contacted her assistant..and her assistant said Dorys could not do it..So I kept looking around and 3 days later, Dorys called me and said she was going to be able to do our H&M

I was hesistant because 2 weeks after giving birth seems a bit soon, but she reassurred me over and over and over that she was going to be up for it

Do we did a trial run and she did a fantastic job!
However...1 week after the trial, she emailed us telling us she cannot do the wedding, but her "senior stylist" could.

I asked to look this "senior stylist's" portfolio...and Dorys said., that this senior stylist did not have one...but that "she is very good". Sorry but if I am going to be paying almost $700 for H&M I want to know beforehand if someone is qualified based on looking at thier previous work~!

Needless to say, I felt very duped because I had already paid $75 for a trial run, when Dorys triple reassurred us that everything was going to be OK and AFTER the trial...she says she can't do it.

Ohh, and I was not about to go pay another $75 for another trial run with someone I don't know is even any good???

I understand that pregnancies are all different and nothing is for sure...but she should have just TAKEN OFF for three months, instead of trying to be MONEY HUNGRY and trying to book potential brides ONLY to let them down in the end

what a headache

Brides on the Knott loves her that why I booked Dory.It was just okay. I went in with very high expectation but was so let down. My friend who did my makeup at my friend wedding did a better job. Very expensive, not worth the money at all.

The fabulous Dorys Foltin did hair and make-up for me, my mom, and my sister. She is an absolute delight to work with, and totally understood the look I was going for. Let me note, that I did not have time to do a test run with her prior to the wedding and I was beyond happy. She also has an excellent eye for details. She also was happy to use the make-up that I brought with me. We had so much fun getting ready in the lovely guest cottage at Moana Mele.

She has a fantastic eye, is super nice, and super flexible. My mom, my sister, and I were all thrilled with the end results.
