Dru Chen Photography

Dru was very interested in all the details and schedule of our wedding and in us. Throughout our planning process, he very much welcomed new details and gave us suggestions from his experiences. Because he kept in touch with us, he felt more like a friend that day, made us feel very comfortable. The pictures were lovely and every scene painted a thousand words. He captures emotions/scenes not just still shots/posed pictures. My husband does not like the camera, and this way Dru was perfect.

Dru is the best photographer I have ever seen. His photos don't just record the day, but rather, they capture moments during the wedding. He's truly an artist. From our meetings and coversation, I could see that he loves photography, and takes great joy in helping us record one of the most important days of our lives. Not only that, he's also very courteous, professional and thoughtful. He was able to finish group family pictures within 1/2 hour, where as I've seen other photographers take hours. Because of that, our wedding reception started on time, and not one had to wait in hunger.

When my fiancé and I saw Dru Chen’s work we thought he would definitely be too expensive. Once we actually contacted him and found out his price range we were overjoyed that we could afford such high quality work that fit within our budget.

Dru’s style captures moments of brilliance that could never be staged. He has an amazing ability to be unobtrusive whilst still managing to get every shot! During our wedding I saw Dru before and after and that was it. I actually worried he hadn’t been there during the key moments – but when we got the photos – he’d managed to capture every detail as well as the overall celebratory ambiance. Dru took so many great photos we had difficulty narrowing them down for our album!

I recommend Dru to all brides and grooms. He is easy to work with, low key, extremely talented, professional and reliable. My husband and I could not be happier that we chose Dru and now we have incredible photos to last us a lifetime!

My Husband and I were on a budget, but wanted to have Wedding photos that looked liked they were right out of a Wedding magazine. When we found Dru we new he was it! Dru’s packages were very reasonable. He did an engagement session for us that came out stunning everyone loved the photos. He is professional and down to earth, he let us be ourselves and he captured the moments that you want to remember forever! Dru is going to use our Wedding as his full sample album for his business, we feel very privileged that he choice us. After reviewing 20-30 portfolios online, then talking to about 5 total vendors, it was obvious before we even had our first interview that Dru Chen would be our photographer. The photography style is something were drawn to right away, with a keen eye towards capturing the emotions of the moment; be they fun, nervous, or tender. Even while photographing in an offbeat way that we just loved, he never lost his respect of the need for some elements of "classical" wedding photography. We were extremely happy with his response times and work turnaround times. He was very professional, while not being stuffy or arrogant. He was a joy to have working the wedding, and we would have been extremely happy to consider him a guest as well. Based on his work with our friends, he did our wedding. Based on his work with us, he did our cousin's wedding. We will continue to recommend him to anyone who asks.

I met with Dru and knew immediately he was the right photographer. He was passionate and has fabulous pictures.We hired Dru for engagement and wedding pictures. For our engagement pictures we had two different outfits and discussed the idea we had for our session. The pictures came out gorgeous. They were exactly what we had in mind. We were very happy with the outcome.The day of the wedding, Dru and his team were on time and ready to shoot. I had a few pictures I wanted and provided Dru with the list. Again when we received our pictures, we were blown away. The pictures were better than we'd hoped for.I would totally recommend Dru and his team. They're awesome. :-)

Dru is the best!!! His work is phenomenal, and he is great to have around all day. He had a great calm about him, which is so essential when the big day comes- you don't want anyone around to increase your stress! I would recommend him to anyone- in fact, one of my bridesmaids is using him for her wedding this summer :-) His pictures are beautiful, he really captures the emotions and the feelings of the moment. He is just all-around great to work with, and has amazing skill. Hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding planning.

Dru was amazing. He was everything you'd want a photographer to be: prompt, creative, FAST, flexible, open to suggestions, and just fun to be around (remember, your photographer will be around you ALL DAY long, so you really want to pick someone whose personality you actually enjoy). Most importantly, the pictures he took were absolutely beautiful, he captured so many moments and emotions in his pictures. I would recommend him to my best friend... in fact, I did, and she hired him for her wedding last month!

For me, the most important thing is that I look pretty in the pictures, and I don't know how Dru did it, but I did look pretty on my wedding day (at least according to the records of his photos). :-D He's an easy going guy (which is important considering I had to spend a whole day with him clicking his camera near me), flexible in scheduling. He takes his work very seriously and was professional and courteous. Most importantly, I thought his photos captured moments of my life, not just your average point-and-shoot photographers. I've recommended him to my maid of honor and a co-worker and they both loved his work.
