Duane Peck Photography

I found Duane early on in my wedding planning. He was the first vendor I booked, because in all honesty the photographer is the most important part of the day to me. I booked him in January, paid the deposits, etc. He was always very nice on the phone. He wasn't always so good at returning emails. A few months/weeks after I booked him I sent him a few emails that went unanswered; which made me slightly nervous. I finally had my fiance call him to get the questions answered & everything was good, or so I thought. Approx. a month before our big day I get a call back from Duane in response to an email I had sent him a few days before. He tells me he's double booked my wedding. What irritated me most about this, was that he ended up taking on the 'other' client that booked after I did.

Duane fessed up to his mistake & told me he found another photographer to shoot my wedding, which I greatly appreciated. The photographer he recommended is a highly sought after photographer, especially here on PW. I really did appreciate that, but I was upset that something like this could happen & that my business obviously didn't mean much if he was taking on the client he booked after me.

He was more than happy to refund my deposit immediately. I am just sorry I couldn't have written a better review on him. I feel badly having to write a review like this. I am sure if he had taken my wedding photos they would have come out great. There is no doubt about it, he is a talented photographer, I just wish things could have gone how they were supposed to.

***UPDATE***
I get a nice surprise phone call today from Duane who has decided to confront me about my honest review here on PW. Apparently he's not happy with it. He wanted me to add to the review that the replacement photographer he found for me was normally $4000 to shoot a wedding, but she agreed to do it for the price that Duane had given me, which was $2500. When he refunded me my money, he also gave me an extra $30 for my troubles (which was very nice), but he recalled that he gave me $50, not $30. Either way I kind of felt like maybe he thought if he gave me the extra money that that was payoff for a 'good review'. I told him I would be happy to give him back that money if that was the case.

Oh, he also wanted me to add in that he gave me some suggestions of places to have my wedding at, since I wasn't familiar with California. Yes, that was very helpful, but I didn't really think pertained to my review.

It was also strange because he totally tried to change his whole story about how & why he had to cancel on me. He said he didn't double book my wedding, which is the first thing that was out of his mouth when he first told me of his mistake. He was giving me all sorts of excuses, which honestly doesn't matter to me at this point because what's done is done. As a business owner, if you make a mistake you can't expect someone to write a good review on you.

Although I didn't book Duane as my photographer for the wedding, I thought I should still write a review on the contact I had with him.

A friend of mine mentioned he was the photographer for her wedding, he was fabulous, but also knew he was fabulous and he didn't have a problem letting you know. Because I liked her pictures so much, I decided to contact him.
First things first, on his website it said packages were between 1,900 - 3,100. For the pictures I saw from my friend's wedding, that price was AMAZING! I couldn't wait to book him!
Well, when I contacted him, he said his starting price was 3,000.
I apologized for taking up his time, and mentioned I thought his prices started at 1,900 which is what's stated on his website. He then said let's meet up, we can work something out.
I tried to schedule a few different dates with Duane, but he wasn't very flexible.
I am a court reporter so my schedule varies day to day and I mentioned that to him and every e-mail he just said. I am only available this day. It was always just one day a week and we tried to work something out but he would just say "I'm busy that day."
So I just gave up on contacting him. A few weeks later he contacted me saying "I really want to book your wedding. Let's meet." No hello, how are you, nothing. That's all that was in the e-mail. So once more I tried to schedule something but received the same responses as previous, "I'm busy that day."
I didn't reply to the last e-mail he sent me because he wasn't very helpful or polite. I haven't heard anything from him since. That was over 3 months ago.

I gave him 3 stars because his pictures are gorgeous, but his communication skills need work.

My husband and I used Duane Peck for our wedding in June, and he was AMAZING!!! I found him on The Knot website, and made an appointment to meet with him. I really liked his photojournalistic style and his ability to edit. Looking at his previous work on http://digitalstudios.org and his blog, I knew he was the right photographer for our wedding.

At our first meeting, Duane pitched an idea of traveling to Vegas to take some Trash the Dress shots. Not being a model, I was very skeptical. I thought that the pictures might look silly. However, Duane delivered! The shots were fantastic. He was great at explaining poses to me, and really helped to boost my confidence. The shots were magazine quality! We also wanted to do some typical engagement shots. I loved the pictures of “Erin’s Engagement,” (on his website) so we asked Duane to replicate them for us. Duane was more than accommodating. I thought he wouldn’t want to do a repeat shot, but he was excited. My husband and I got lost trying to find the location, and Duane was super patient. Once we got there he assured us we still had plenty of time, because he allocated for extra. We did some of the same poses, and then tried some new things. As usual the shots were beautiful.

Right before the wedding, I decided to make a boudoir book for my husband. I knew Duane would do a fabulous job, and besides we had become really comfortable working together. I tore out pictures from magazines, of poses I wanted to imitate. At the shoot, Duane and his assistant were incredible! They made me feel very comfortable…and even sexy! He had lots of ideas, and even incorporated the props that I had brought. My husband loved the book, and he was very surprised!

The day of our wedding, Duane and his assistant arrived early and were dressed professionally. He set up and began taking photos of the girls and me getting ready. Duane was unobtrusive and really did a great job documenting the “process.” He also got great shots of the guys getting ready, and made sure to communicate his location with me. Before the wedding, my husband and I decided to see each other (which I highly recommend!). We wanted to get the majority of our pictures done, so we had lots of time at our reception. Duane made sure to photograph the moment we saw each other, and he got some emotional shots.

Our whole wedding party drove around Long Beach (where we were married), so we could get some unique photographs. Duane had already scouted the locations, and knew exactly where to park and walk. We got some pictures in front of the Queen Mary, a lighthouse, and on the pier. These shots were very cool and really captured the personalities of our wedding party.

At the wedding, Duane and his assistant were hardly noticeable. They made sure to photograph different angles of the ceremony and the guests. Duane got lots of photographs with our family and all the details that I spent HOURS making. During the reception, Duane made sure to be available if I needed him, and asked me if there were any specific pictures that I wanted. At the end of the night, he made sure to say goodbye and again he asked if I needed anything else.

After the wedding, Duane was in the process of moving homes. Despite his hectic personal schedule, I received my DVD’s within 5 weeks (SO FAST!!!). Duane posted pictures of our wedding on his blog and even made a slideshow! I have nothing but positive things to say about Duane and his photography. My wedding pictures are timeless! You would NEVER know that I was married in a small backyard. Duane made the area look romantic and beautiful. I highly recommend his services. He has a true eye for photography and a gift for digital editing. From someone who knows many brides that were disappointed by their photographer, you want to invest in a professional. You should book Duane Peck. He captures moments and memories that you will enjoy for a lifetime.

My fiance and I knew that one of the most important parts of our wedding was choosing an amazing photographer. Since my fiance is a graphic designer, he wanted something very specific, very special, and unique. We wanted our photos to be journalistic, mostly candid shots, that could be mistaken for artistic pieces.

When we first met Duane, his personality was quirky, that of an artist. We loved him immediately and booked him a year and a half before our wedding day. After viewing his sample work, we knew he would create exactly what we were looking for...something different!

Well, we finished our engagement shoot in Malibu and could not be more excited about our pictures. The shots were absolutely fantastic. Duane Peck (our photographer) has a brilliant eye and takes the kind of photos any bride would treasure forever. My fiance and I are very picky when it comes to pictures, between choosing shots that have interesting aspects and backgrounds and making sure we look good. When we were done we had over 400 shots to choose from and love so many that we can't even decide which we love more to put into print.

I am recommending him to all of my girlfriends that are getting married because after all of my research (and I did a lot), he really has proven to be the best around. Very personable, very accomodating, the kind of photographer that makes even the shyest couple (such as us) very comfortable. Can't wait to see the amazing shots we get at the wedding!

After searching and searching the internet for a photographer I stumbled upon Duane Peck's website. I was instantly amazed at how his pictures made me feel happy for the people in them. He really has a way of capturing the emotion in a moment.
I emailed Duane that night and he was super quick in getting back to me. After talking with him for quite some time (I had already gushed to my fiance about how much I loved his pictures) I booked him for our engagement shoot and wedding. During our initial phone conversation Duane asked a lot of questions about our style and what we were looking for. He was totally open to suggestion and had a lot of great ideas of his own.

Our engagement shoot was awesome! Duane spent close to 6 hours with us wandering around Los Angeles taking pictures. We are totally not model material yet Duane was so patient with us and gave us a ton of direction on what to do. After seeing how great our engagement pictures came out I couldn't wait for the wedding!

Duane and an assistant, who was totally sick and a real trooper, traveled to Bakersfield where we live for the wedding. Everyone who met them was super impressed with how relaxed yet professional they were.

I can't say enough how great Duane is! He is a peach to work with, super fun to be around and most importantly captured our day in such a beautiful way. Even the owner of the bridal salon I got my dress from wants to book him for her wedding! I think that says ALOT considering how many great photographers she has the opportunity to see. Summer and David

I just got back from an engagement/trash the dress photo shoot with Duane. He spent two days in Vegas with my fiance and I. We had a blast. I had seen his sight, and assumed that most of the people he photographed were models...but he is just GREAT at what he does. He was able to instruct me on what to do. He made me feel confident and beautiful.

We went to a few different locations, and the day after we got back from Vegas, he had already sent me some pictures from the shoot. I was really excited!

What I really loved about Duane was that he had many ideas. We tried low angles, high angels, back shots, kissing, laughing...and much more. I feel like he really got to know us as a couple, and was able to capture that in our photographs. I am normally pretty reserved, but I did want some sexy shots. Duane was able to make me feel sexy, and found all the "right" angles to compliment my curves.

I also loved that Duane was very prompt and professional. Even though we became friends on this "roadtrip," he maintained a professional relationship.

I can not wait for him to shoot my wedding photos! I would recommend him to any future brides who are looking for a more artistic album. Duane's pictures are timeless and are works of art.

We couldn’t be happier with all the pictures we took with Duane. We wanted to take time to write this letter to recognize Duane and let others know what a great experience we had with Duane as our photographer.

It was very hard to plan a California wedding from Wisconsin, brrr. But having Duane as our photographer certainly made our planning much easier. Choosing the right photographer who can capture the moments and has a unique artistic view was one of the most important elements for our wedding. I took a long time researching photographers and reviewing their portfolios online. Duane's work really stood up and we knew that we had to meet with him. Needless to say, we immediately signed up with Duane after our first meeting and did an engagement shoot on the same trip. Duane was so patient with us and taught us how to pose for pictures. Even though we were supposed to do the session for a couple hours, we actually took more than 4 hours. He even took us to the bridge and waited for the sunset. The pictures came out so well we were just stunned. And when we posted these pictures on our website, everyone just raved about them.

There were so many things happening during the wedding but we knew that we wouldn’t have to worry about our wedding pictures. Duane came earlier to where the girls were getting ready and brought his friend April Smith (her pictures were great too) who’s also a photographer with him for the first part of the day. Right away they were working hard and finding all the possible spots for pictures. We know that Duane had to cover some of April's cost but he did not charge us anything extra. That was just a nice gesture from him and we really appreciate it.

During the reception, we didn’t notice where Duane was most of the time but after we saw the slide show, we knew he was always at the right spot at the right time! At times when I caught glimpses of him, he was lying low on the floor taking pictures  I don’t know how many cameras we had in the wedding - many of our friends love photographing. He was polite to everyone but knew how to take control. Duane made sure that we had all the important shots covered and at the meantime let our friends and families to take pictures of us. He stayed till almost at the end of wedding and before he left, he asked me a few times if I wanted more pictures with anyone. This really made me believe that he genuinely loves his job and wants to give his clients the best he could. After the wedding the one thing we were patiently looking forward to were the pictures. Duane quickly sent us the link to the slideshow 10 days after the wedding and that included the “trash the dress” session. The choice of song was great and we love the way he arranged the pictures. It was just like a storyboard of our wedding day and amazingly he was managed to also show our personalities through the pictures. One other little thing that he included in the slideshow was the bouquet for my late father. I remember telling him that and it was very nice of him to include in the slideshow.

A couple days after the wedding Duane called me up and threw the idea of “trash the dress” at me. I was concerned with getting my dress dirty but I knew that Duane could produce some cool shots for us. You can see why I was convinced so easily. I think I said yes in less than 5 minutes to the call . The weather was so cold and foggy we practically had to drive and chased the sun. To be honest we were a bit worried how the pictures would turn out. When we saw the pictures, we were just in awe. The pictures had the right mood and feel and were not the conventional sunset shots, which we think are more unique and better. The fact that he only charged us your expense and took a friend to help out just made us feel even more thankful.

A special note here for all the brides-to-be: I also did a “special project” with Duane. Trust me, it could be the best gift you can give to your hubby-to-be. Remember to ask Duane about this special project ;)

All our friends and families were so taken away by Duane's work. I have so many people come up to me and tell me the wedding and engagement pictures were the best they have seen. Some friends who couldn’t attend the wedding told us they cried after seeing the wedding slideshow.

Aside from his amazing work, Duane's professionalism really impressed us. From our first meeting, phone calls, emails, to all several shooting sessions, he was always punctual and responded to us promptly. He asked us detailed questions and tried to understand our expectations and always managed to exceed them. Duane is a photographer with incredible skills and artistic eyes. He is meticulous and he works hard for his clients. He is a true professional and always a pleasant to be around with.

We want to thank him for being part of our wedding and giving us all the memories we will cherish for a long time! We hope to work with Duane again!

We met Duane at one of our friends wedding and thought his work was great. So we decided to use him for our wedding. We were very pleased. Just look at our photos.
He always available for questions or concerns during the planning. After it was all over we received all of our photos within only 2 weeks. Overall I would recommend him.

I have nothing but good things to say about Duane Peck and digitalstudios.org. I chose him after visiting numerous websites for the LA area because, his pictures are awesome, his prices are way reasonable, and he was willing to give me the images on disc.

He always answered my emails promptly and was on time the day of our intitial meeting and on the wedding day.

He and his 2 assistants, Scott and Gary, worked their butts off! They took about 2500 pictures. There were traditional formal poses and stills that were creative (in pose and angle). There were also plenty of photojournaling, casual pictures that really captured the day. He took pictures of our guests during the reception and ceremony (I'd never seen pictures of the guests during the ceremony. It was awesome to see their emotion too). My husband and I went through all of the pictures and relived the day. And yet, they never interrupted the action. After sharing the pictures with family and friends, many have said they didn't notice when the picture was taken.

Duane had the discs ready in less than 2 weeks and made arrangements with me to pick up instead of mailing them, like I asked. I would recommend digitalstudios.org to anyone and everyone. And will hire them for all my special events in the future.

We knew the instant we viewed the engagement photos from the beach that Duane took of us that there had been no better decision made for our wedding. The brilliance behind the camera is astonishing, as we were unaware how many techniques could be used to capture the colors and ambiance of our surroundings.
Our wedding day flew by so fast, that we could hardly remember anything that went on. Duane was able to capture every moment, from getting dressed, until our last dance; memories that our children's children will be able to share with us for the rest of our lives.
Duane's pictures are not only memories to be cherished by us, but are artistic pieces to be shared with those who enter our home. We have created poster sized photos of Duane's shots from our wedding and people are amazed that it involves our special day, and not some purchased piece of artwork. The amazement on their faces just reminds us of the peace of mind from not having to worry about the selection of our wedding photographer. Duane brought that peace of mind from day one, and we cannot thank him enough for the brilliance he captured on our special day.

As soon as we saw Duane's website online, we knew we had to have him for our wedding. We setup an appointment right away and booked him, on the spot, a year and a half before our wedding date.

Duane has a unique style all his own and last Friday we got to see just how talented he is during our engagement shoot. We only had a few vague ideas of what we wanted, but mentioned to him that we would like some artistic/abstract photographs along with the classic white t-shirt and jeans beach scene. He was very professional, fun, and creative! In addition he delivered an eclectic array of photos which we absolutely loved! Some of them are so good that we plan to hang them as art pieces and watch people's surprise when they realize that they are pictures of us. Just two days later, Duane selected a handful of photos and posted them in a slide show online.

I can't wait to see what he will deliver for our wedding day. I'm sure that he will capture the same level of amazing photographs, which gives us one less thing to worry about!

My husband and I decided to do a surprise wedding in my parents backyard. I like to think I have 'champagne taste on a beer budget'.... So I knew I was going to have to cut back on a lot of things I had always thought I wanted at my wedding. However, my photographer was not something I was willing to hold back on. To me, the pictures were very important. I searched high and low for the right photographer who captures the kind of feel I was looking for... Kind of artistic and not so posed and cheesy. And I stumbled across Duane Peck. I could not have asked for a better photographer. On our wedding day, he was literally laying down in the gutter in order to get the shot he wanted. The edits he did on some of the pictures were wonderful! I could not have been happier with Duane and his work! I have recommended him to a couple of my girlfriends getting married this year and I would not hesitate to recommend him to ANYBODY! His price was fair and we are all in LOVE with the pictures!!!!!!! After several interviews with many different photographers, I settled on Leanne Reis. Because of personality differences between my dad and her I had to find another photographer. With only two months to the wedding we needed another photographer & FAST!!

A co-worker recommended Duane Peck. I went to his website and loved what I saw. When we met with him he listened to all our needs and wants for our pictures. Three days later we were at the beach, bamboo jungle, & in a field of flowers having our engagement shoot. The pictures were amazing and we were sold.

I used Duane Peck as my photographer for my October wedding. I found him on another wedding website and fell in love with his pictures. While looking for a photographer, I interviewed seven photogrpahers, and none compared to Duane. His pictures were awesome and his personality was just so easy going.

I enjoyed how easy it was to talk to him and he was always very prompt on my emails. He made sure he always answered any of my questions.

Duane Peck and his assistant were just great. They were there early on my wedding day, and everyone in my family commented on how professional they were. Throughout the day, you could see them both shooting away! They were always respectful, and never were intrusive taking pictures. Anytime I needed a picture taken with a family member, I would just ask them and they were there shooting away! It must have been difficult with the lanugage barrier for Duane (My wedding was primarily in Spanish) but that didn't keep him from interacting with my guests.

I was on my honeymoon when Duane sent me a link with a preview of my pictures. Within three weeks I received my CD's with ALL my pictures. I was so pleased. Duane also took my engagement shots at the Disney Hall and he was working so hard to capture those intimate moments even with so many people around (we went on a weekday because we coulnd't make it on a weekend). I HIGHLY recommend Duane Peck. I know I got married over a year ago but I am currently helping my friend plan her wedding and when I came across this website and saw the negative remarks on him, I knew I had to create an account and defend his work. Wedding pictures are the most important thing and I am so glad that my husband and I chose Duane as our photographer.

Duane was recommended by a friend, I checked out his website and it was exactly what I was looking for. He has a great journalistic approach. I booked him for our May 2008 wedding. He was very easy to work with and captured our wedding perfectly. I received my pictures from him a few weeks after the wedding and loved the special effects and quality of his work. Duane is AWESOME!!! he is really quirky and fun but more importantly he takes awesome pictures..I have really picky friends and family and all of them couldn't say enough nice words about his work..Also, make sure you ask him to do his "sexy" pose!! He had my husband and I laughing the whole time..you really think he is taking ordinary pictures but when you see the final product you realize that he is an extraorinary photographer..I'm not really a photogenic person nor do I like taking pictures but I really enjoyed shooting with Duane.. Noel was super super cool too and sooo nice...Both of them took sooo many pictures it took me 2 days to look through them...if you are fortunate enough to book Duane you will not be disappointed..he might be hard to book being the knot's best photographer and all..LOL! go Duane!!!

Duane was our photographer on March 26th, 2005. the first thing I must say is that our meetings before our wedding were very smooth. He was very polite and was flexible to our needs. We didn't talk to many other photographers at the time b/c we were on a budget. However, we were very pleased with his pictures.

On the day of he was very professional and was quite generous with his time. For our banquet he even stayed hours later than we paid for b/c he really wanted to get certain shots to help us make a great album. We were very blessed to have him as our photographer.

After the wedding he sent us a web link and CD's to access our pictures...I would say this happened within a few days. I believe he took over 2000 pictures! They were very well processed (digital images) and he even allowed us to use some of our own pictures from family members as pictures in our album; he processed those images as well. Again, his flexibility to our needs was very much appreciated. Thanks Duane!!!

I first met Duane a couple years ago. My cousin utilized his services at her wedding. Upon seeing the photographs, I knew he was the one for me! Upon becoming engaged myself a year and a half later, I immediately asked my cousin for his name and number as I wanted a photographer I could trust and the great photographs to come with it!

Being the typical worried bride the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, it really was one less burden to not have to worry about the photographer. I felt like everything was in good hands - and it was!

Duane was on time the day of and ready to snap some shots! My husband, and all of our family really loved the end results of the photographs. I've received praise from everyone who looks at my wedding photographs. I am an overall very content customer and still having fun sorting through everything and deciding which ones I will be enlarging in order to frame and put them on my walls.

I had a wonderful experience with Duane and his team. I found him by luck browsing a wedding magazine, desperate to find a photographer that has that certain "something." Suddenly, I saw a picture that I absolutely fell in love with, with. I left a message for him, and he responded promptly. We were able to meet soon afterward because he was accommodating to my busy schedule.

When we met, I was impressed with his relaxed yet professional attitude. When he showed me his wedding albums, I knew he was the one. The pictures were absolutely gorgeous. Duane also shot our engagement pictures and that too was a truly enjoyable experience. Duane was eager to listen to our ideas and came up with edgy and creative ways to shoot exactly what we were looking for. We were so happy with our engagement shoot and couldn't wait to see our weddding pictures.

On the day of the wedding, Duane and his assistants arrived in a timely manner and made sure they caught all our "must-have" pictures. What really surprised me were the pictures themselves. Duane and his team caught some moments that are extremely close to my heart yet, I barely remember them being there. Very unintrusive. I've been very lazy in getting to my album and am still working on it till this day, and more than a year after my wedding, Duane is still readily available to me and as courteous as ever with my questions and requests.

It's unfortunate that some people have had less-then-memorable experiences with Duane, however, I don't share in their sentiment. In had a completely experience. I'm not from California, so searching for a photographer to shoot our engagement session was extra difficult. I went to theknot.com for some suggestions. I came across this unusual picture. It looked kinda "asiany", I suppose, but it was an awesome picture of a couple with their backs towards the camera, looking at each other (the main image on the website: http://digitalstudios.org. I fell completely in love with this picture and decided to look no further.

I contacted Duane via email, but he was away in Nicaragua doing another photo session (such the multi-tasker!). He immediately contacted me once he arrived back in California. I could even tell from then, that I have picked a truly exceptional photographer.

From our first conversation to the actual photo session, Duane has been nothing but wonderful. He made suggestions of places of photo ops that would match our personality as a couple. We decided upon Pasadena, CA.

He is extremely creative and talented. I have never met anyone with such talent with a camera. It's amazing to actually see his talent in print. I mean seriously, who could take a brick wall and make it an extraordinary background... only an a true artist can do that. He ensures that only the best shots will bear his name!

I highly recommend Duane Peck for wedding photos, engagement sessions, no matter the type of event! Trust me, you will never leave disappointed.

I met Duane about a year before my wedding, hoping to find a photographer who would be different from others in my community. As someone who lives in a cultural community where it is rare to go with a vendor of another ethnicity, there was pressure to find someone really good in order to convince the many people who would ask why I didn't want to go with so-and-so who had photographed everyone's wedding... and whose work I didn't like for it's unreal posed shots. When I came across Duane's website, I was thrilled. The photos were beautiful and they captured emotion in time and space in a way that I had seen few photographers do. The detail shots and the color that is infused into the images added that extra touch. Also, his prices were within my budget and, when compared to other photographers doing similar work, quite reasonable.

The best part was that I got the hi-res files on DVDs. And let me tell you, that turned out to be very important. With over 3000 pictures taken by Duane and his awesome assistant Heather, there were too many that I liked and wanted to keep/have. I've already printed some for family and friends.

I should say that when my now-husband and I and first met Duane, we thought he was a bit quirky. Don't hesitate if his personality isn't at first glance what you expected. Duane is patient, calm, professional, responsive, and most importantly, he delivers what he promises. And to our surprise, he is really quite funny when you start to get to know him. We had decided to do an engagement shoot about a month before the wedding and like someone else on this review page, I was nervous about someone taking pictures of me and my fiance. How weird is that? Well, Duane totally put us at ease and we laughed and had one of the best days we had had in a long time. We had such a great time, and best of all, you could tell from the beautiful pictures he took.

I would highly recommend Duane to any bride and groom. We are so happy to have found him! He was everything that I expected and more.

Duane Peck and Krisit Klemens were my photographers for my September 3, 2006 wedding. I researched photographers in the Orange County/LA area and when I came upon Duane's website I immediately knew I wanted to book him. If you go to www.digitalstudios.org you can see what beautiful work he does. I was really surprised at how affordable they were and that you receive so many pictures!

I not only booked Duane for my wedding but also to do our engagement pictures. We took our engagement pictures at Doheny Beach which, was where my Husband proposed. I thought I would feel uncomfortable with someone taking pictures of us but we actually had a lot of fun. Duane and Kristi were a blast to work with during our engagement shoot and I remember laughing a lot and feeling at ease. Our engagement pictures were beautiful and we were really happy with how they turned out. We used one of the many pictures Duane and Kristi took and used it as our save the date picture that was sent out to all our family and friends. The only problem I had was choosing which of the pictures to use because they were all so beautiful. There was even one where my Husband’s forehead was a little shiny and Duane fixed it for us immediately. Since we loved the pictures from our engagement shoot so much we actually used them on our CD favors and photo signing mat.

Duane Peck and Kristi Klemens were early for our wedding and took tons of photographs. I cannot even tell you how many pictures we looked at after the wedding. They did an amazing job and I am so happy I booked them for our wedding. It has been over 6 months since our wedding and I still look at our wedding pictures and cannot believe how beautiful they turned out. They covered everything I could possibly have imagined and more. I didn’t even have a “must take list” and yet everything was captured. I would definitely recommend Digital Studios to any future couple looking for amazing photographers.

I am so sad to hear that the original poster had a bad experience. I honestly had no issues at all. There was not 1 photograph that came out blurry, fuzzy or was of the back of someone.

I attended a wedding in upper michigan middle of august that Duane Peck was the photographer. He did a wonderful job of working through the wedding w/o really being noticed or annoying, which some wedding photograhers can be! He had a subtle approach to capturing the "moments" of the day, instead of trying to "manufacture" the moments of the day. It was great to see him @ work.
