Dulce Desserts

Dulce Desserts did a real nice job at making our wedding cake. We scheduled an appointment and they set a time for us to come in and go over what they could do. They showed us many samples of their work and it was not a hard decision from there. We picked from one of their samples that they showed us and also had them add a few different things to it and the end result was an special wedding cake that we both really liked an so did our wedding guest. It tasted really good and it tasted like they just baked it and it came right out of the oven.

Amazing cake! All of my guests thought our buttercream was fondant because it was so smooth. The taste was even better. People talked about it all night. Juanita was awesome!

Dulce makes fabulously delicious cakes! The real deal! Juanita does an excellent job of helping you with your vision, and she has great ideas. Everyone loved our cakes!

Juanita is the best at what she does! Not only is she an amazing artist but she is sooo much fun! I did not want a traditional wedding cake that you see on every ad for a bakery these days. I wanted something that looked awesome and tasted just as good. I got a 3 tiered strawberry shortcake and OMGoodness was it amazing. Juanita also did a dessert bar for us with an assortment of cookies, mini cupcakes, and tarts. There was NOTHING left at all:( the only dessert me and my husband got to taste was the cake we fed to each other. I have already decided that on our 1 year anniversary when we get our anniversary cake ( mini recreation of the wedding cake that she does ) I am going to order 2 of all the other goodies we had so we actually get to eat them!

My husband and I interviewed and had tastings at several bakeries and are so thankful we chose Dulce Desserts! Juanita Lane is so friendly and personable that working with her was truly a delight! In addition, her treats are the absolute best! We had a pretty detailed order: 100 cupcakes (along with specific wrappers we requested) with 3 different flavors (including cake, frosting and fillings), plus a top cake with its own distinct flavors, a quadruple layered birthday cake and 2 different flavors of tartlets. They got them all perfect! Every single tartlet was eaten and our guests could not get enough of the cakes either! Many tried every flavor and said they were the best cupcakes and cake they ever had! My husband and I agree! The presentation was beautiful and Juanita even worked personally with our florist to ensure everything looked as perfect as it tasted. We plan to use Dulce Desserts for birthdays and holidays from now on because we know we will not find better cakes or desserts anywhere else!

Dulce Desserts has without a doubt the BEST cake in Nashville. I am so glad I went with this cake maker. At first, for some odd reason I didn't like the name or something about the shop, but once I was inside tasting my first slice of cake I realized just how wrong I'd been. Their cakes are complete works of art and I got a lot of compliments on just the look of the cake! But when it came time to eat it... oh boy. It was gone in minutes! The whole cake could serve about 75 people, and only about 50 people were eating cake, but they wanted 2 and 3 slices of the thing! We had different flavors on different layers which made it more exciting and made people want to sample each layer. I can't stress just how good this cake was -- everything made from scratch and with good ingredients, not any fake sugar or anything like that. This is literally the best cake in Nashville -- believe me! I tried cake from about 15 other cake makers at Bridal Shows and none of them even compare!

Juanita and her staff are fabulous!!! When I met her and ate her cake at a bridal show, nothing else compared! The cake was beautiful and delicious and guests still talk about it today. My husband and I are looking forward to our 1 year anniversary cake.

Oh my goodness! Our cake was to DIE for. European buttercake with buttercream, strawberries, and lemon curd. The grooms cake was out of this world - almond and chocolate cake layered with chocolate ganache and raspberry. It looked wonderful, kept wonderful, tasted divine. Juanita was a joy to work with! She took in all of our ideas and crafted a work of art. It was stunning! I can't wait for her to do any cakes or treats I need in the future. And we are already impatient for our anniversary cake!

Juanita and her staff are great. She is so fun, we really enjoyed working with her on designing our cake (which was actually really simple, but absolutely beautiful) and oh, the tastings were amazing. She has great ideas and creates delicous and beautiful cakes!

My good friends had their cake made here-and it was so good! If I hadn't had my cake already planned by the time I discovered Dulce-I would have used them! They are professional, kind, and extremely talented. melt in your mouth delicious!

We had Dulce bake various desserts for our dessert table at our wedding, and it ended up exactly how we pictured it. Everything looked wonderful, but more importantly, tasted DELICIOUS. Our main cake was beautiful -- it was almond cake with amaretto filling and vanilla butter cream frosting. I'd venture to say it is the best cake I have ever eaten. Our guests loved being able to grab multiple desserts, and the fresh fruit tartlets went FAST. Juanita and the staff at Dulce are friendly and reliable, and I will definitely be hiring Dulce for other events in the future!

My husband and I were certain we did not want fondant on our wedding cake, just heavily textured buttercream. I said that to multiple cake vendors while at a bridal show, but I was told repeatedly "Well, you haven't had OUR fondant" or "We ONLY do fondant". When I got to the Dulce booth and described what we wanted, Juanita knew exactly what I meant AND was excited about doing it. Then I tasted their cake, and wow - there was no comparison. Their buttercream icing is absolutely phenomenal. We received so many compliments on our cake, and I've been to several weddings since ours but none have had cake as delicious as ours. And to top it off, Juanita is extremely accommodating - you are not just paying for the cake but also their great service. We met with her twice for two tastings; the first was to consult and we tasted what she had on hand, and for the second tasting she prepared the flavors we specifically wanted to taste. She also helped us get the most for our money with a side cake, and even worked out a barter with the side cake for our custom cake stand (a perfect trade, as I was going to sell the stand afterward!). On the whole, Juanita is on the top of her game to work with and makes the best wedding cake I've ever had. If you are planning to go with a grocery store bakery cake because you think you can't afford a boutique bakery cake (like we were) - try Dulce Desserts before you decide.

I can summarize our experience in one word: AMAZING! The cakes were so delicious (we got both our wedding and groom's cake from Dulce) and Juanita was so much fun to work with. She was incredibly sweet and helpful and I can't wait for our 1 year anniversary so we can get a second helping! :)

I've been to over 100 weddings in my lifetime. My parents started taking us to these events from the age of 5 or 6. At these weddings over the years I have tasted some amazing food and incredible wedding cakes. And some bad ones too. But when I finally got married in 2010 at the age of 40, I wanted the best of the best for my special day. I waited long enough for this moment after all and so did my future wife. So we tasted cakes at several bakeries throughout Nashville in various price ranges. We knew Dulce was a tad more expensive than some other places but we wanted to try it anyway. And my goodness it was worth it!!! After the tasting, we knew Juanita from Dulce was the chosen one for our perfect cake. It looked amazing at the reception! But more importantly it was the best cake I have ever tasted!!! And you get a free tier of your wedding cake made fresh on the 1-year anniversary (instead of having to freeze it for a year). We can't wait!!!

Not only did our June 2010 wedding cake taste wonderful, but it was BEAUTIFUL! Juanita was able to perfectly match the 'ribbon' around the base of each tier with our wedding invitation and my reception dress. That special touch made our pictures come out that much better. Thanks! My husband and I are looking forward to our one-year anniversary cake!

Both our Wedding cake and LSU Grooms cake were amazing! I would definately recommend Juanita and Dulce Desserts to anyone. Our cake was beautiful and Juanita was awesome. You will not be disappointed!

Juanita...the best baker in Nashville!!! Not only does she have her own bakery for cupcakes, cookies, and other goodies, she makes wedding cakes as well! Her cakes are made fresh and are not frozen at all before the wedding day. The choices of flavors and icings are so yummy. There are flavors like orange ginger (which we did for the grooms cake with the Chocolate Ganache filling) and european butter (which we did for the brides cake with the real strawberries filling & with an alternating layer of raspberry). We froze the cake that we had left over after the wedding and had it as a delicious dessert once we got bake from the honeymoon, the strawberries were still yummy. Juanita informed us that if the anniversary cake doesn't taste like it did on our wedding day she'd make a new one.Go into her store and check out her monthly cupcakes and cookies they are great!!

Juanita of Dulce Desserts made the cake for our wedding, as well as some of the desserts for our rehearsal dinner. We were absolutely thrilled with the results. She did a phenomenal job! We had multiple meetings with her, including an initial consultation, a second tasting with all the flavors we were interested in trying, and a third meeting to finalize cake decoration. I brought her pictures of what I liked and she created a beautiful cake that was everything I was looking for. I love the clean look of fondant, but am not crazy about the taste or texture so she did our cake in buttercream frosting and the finish was so smooth that I had to convince my guests that it wasn't actually fondant. Not to mention that it tasted delicious - my mother-in-law is still raving! We can't wait for our one year anniversary to taste her creations again!

Juanita Lane rocks my world! I was 99% certain I wouldn't have a traditional wedding cake, but after seeing one of her cakes, I just had to change my mind. I'm so glad I did - the cake featured a belt buckle that carried through various design elements of our Nashville wedding, and was such a hit among our guests. I love that she uses REAL buttercream frosting and not the nasty Crisco stuff. She was great to work with my budget and an absolute delight throughout the process.

Juanita was just stellar to work with. She was so accommodating, and so gracious about working with our budget constraints. She truly went beyond the call of duty just to make our day special and carefree. The cake was perfection...spectacular and sooo delicious. People told me later that they didn't think the cake was real it was so beautiful. She offers a lovely service on our one year anniversary where she will bake a fresh wedding cake for two so we can share it together, rather than a freezer-burned cake top! I recommend her without hesitation. You won't be disappointed!

I am so happy that I went with Dulce Desserts! I wanted my cake to be memorable and it was! Juanita is very creative and is an excellent baker. She loves what she does and it's obvious with how personable she was with me. She knew exactly what I wanted, it's as if she read my mind! The cake for my day was beautiful and tasted amazing! I wasn't sure about having a cake with fondant but Juanita's is excellent. I would highly recomment Dulce Desserts to any bride.

Juanita's cake are by far the best in Nashville! Probably the best I've ever had. Everyone commented on how good my cake was. We had a little left over and ate like all of it before we had to leave for our honeymoon! The cake was beautiful and delicious!

Dulce was great to work with. They are super creative and the cake is the best I have ever had. We really loved the fact that they use real butter for the icing and that the cake is not from a box. I took them a photo from a book and they replicated it to the tee. The price is great and they were very on time with the setup. I love the bakery and crave this cake all the time.

I know I got a unique and special cake, but best of all, it was delicious! Everything was made from scratch. You could even eat the fondant! Her butter cream is the best I ever tasted!

Juanita and her team executed what I wanted for my cake and desserts flawlessly. The cake was beautiful and tasted even better. We opted to have many desserts so people can pick what they wanted. We know that everyone doesn't like wedding cake. The guests devoured all the cake and desserts. Delicious!

Beautiful cake. Homemade, not like most cake people with box mixes. The icing was real buttercream and the design was great. Try the desserts at the location too for favors. Our guests loved them.

I procrastinated with a lot of things while planning my wedding but the cake was the worst. I completely waited until the last minute (a month) to start setting up consults. I called Dulce and Juanita answered. She was very personable and although she freaked out a tad, totally remained calm while dealing with my panic. She did all that she could to make me a priority even though I called so late. The cake was delicious, everyone complimented it! And on top of it, it was perfect and beautiful. We were very very pleased.

Juanita of Dulce Desserts was amazing to work with! The cupcakes were delicious...it was hard to make a choice...so we ended up picking three different kinds. It was a joy to work with them and they made the whole process easier for us!

We had our wedding cake made by Juanita at Dulce Desserts very soon after it opened about two years ago. I took a photo from a wedding magazine and brought it to her, and she recreated it perfectly. I have no complaints whatsoever. Now, if only someone had told me I should bring a cake knife and server... Anyway, so now I'm on her email list and am enticed on a weekly basis with photos of cupcakes and cookies and pastries... Bad news for my diet; I should really unsubscribe. I would recommend Dulce to anyone that wants a cake that's out of the ordinary (wedding or otherwise). I think Juanita should be on one of those Food Network competitions where they make the crazy cakes... I really think she'd win.

Dulce makes beautiful European style desserts that taste just as good as they look. They are fun to work with and really make your cake a work of art.
