East Bay Country Club

Mike and his staff were amazing. I was a little skeptical after the bad reviews but the price was right, and Mike really took care of us. He was very responsive, especially when I had 1000 odd and end questions he would reply immediatly. They were a pleasure to deal with!

I would NOT recommend East Bay Country Club to anyone!! Although the ceremony was nice the reception and service was horrible!! Mike Jones, who is the owner, officiant, and meat cutter at first seemed very nice and helpful but in the end was really just scamming us and our guests out of money. They told us that we had 8 more people attend than we had rsvp, and at the moment we were so caught up in the wedding that we didnt think. So after paying more money we reviewed all the guests and realized they were lying. I called to speak with Mike about this and he was quite rude and didnt care what I had to say. We also prepaid a bar tab which we were told was gone 15 minutes after the reception started even though they were charging our guests for drinks. When Teresa, the batender was confronted she said the tab was gone, when we told her that was impossible she then told us we had $50 left. I totally believe we were treated very badly and were scammed out of money.

East Bay Country Club provides a nice space for your reception and the outside area for ceremonies is acceptable. I was looking to find something to stay within our very small budget and still be able to have a real wedding. EBCC really does come through with making your day easy. Once it did get close to the wedding I got very quick answers from Mike via email - which was the easiest method to contact him.

The few things I didn't care for were - 1. no choice of music for your ceremony. 2. The food was slightly disappointing but not bad. Overall everyone had a good time and that's what was important.

The venue itself is beautiful but needs some definite updating and redecorating. Michael, the "wedding coordinator", "minister", and "meat cutter" leaves a lot to be desired. Yes, you heard right he does way too much instead of focusing on the couple. He wants everything his way even though its your wedding day. My bridesmaids simply tried to hide an arrangement behind a table because I did not like it and he snatched it out of their hands. He is very inconsiderate and will agree to something at a meeting only to later say he never agreed to it. If you do go with them get EVERYTHING in writing at your first meeting and make him sign it. East Bay should really look into someone else to run their wedding business because he is bringing them down. They need to update their decorations or make them a little less tacky. A lot of it is "included" but we had to make our own because they were ugly. I can say though that the wait staff and Teresa are divine and deserve to keep their job.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR CEREMONY OR RECEPTION AT THIS VENUE! I only had my reception here and it was horrible. The manager lied to me about serveral things that were "included in the package" that i paid for (i.e. centerpieces, alcohol, etc.). I have contacted the Better Business Bureau to try to get money back from this establishment. Do not have your event here.... they ruined my wedding night!

We love working at EBCC. Great venue & even better staff!!
