Often bands will have a typical wedding set list based on years of past experience with performing these types of events. They normally would not like for you to hand pick songs from their songlist that you want them to play throughout the night, rather, they would love for you to let us know which songs you DON'T want to hear, and of course star a few from the list you absolutely love. Then the artist can both cater their songlist to your needs as well as perform what works time and time again at events like yours. Most artists will begin the evening with music that will cater to your older guests and build the momentum throughout the evening so that by the time your big day comes to an end, no wants to leave the dance floor!

The entertainment is THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT TO THE SUCCESS OF YOUR RECEPTION. I am sure you hear this from many vendors, however, once the initial intake of how beautiful everything looks (including you!), how wonderful the food is and how great it is to see all of your family and friends it is time to boogie down. Invest time and a large portion of your budget on the "meat and potatoes" of the party...your entertainment!


In order to have access to your favorite band and to secure your top choice of a band or DJ it is important to book your entertainment 6 months to 1 year in advance. Your EastCoast Entertainment agent will send you specific website links to bands/DJs who are available within your stylistic preferences, size preferences and budget. The links will give you an opportunity to review each artists bio, references, song lists, sound samples and sometimes even video of the band performing. As your big date gets closer and closer and bands get booked up for the season you have less and less to choose from as time progresses. So book early!

Often, it is difficult to see your EastCoast band perform live prior to your wedding date. Most of the artists EastCoast Entertainment represents perform solely for private functions. These are not club bands, they are wedding bands. They adhere to a very high standard of professionalism both on and off stage and will bend over backwards to ensure your day is exactly how you envisioned it to be. Your ECE agent will shed light on the specifics of the bands' line-up, song lists etc. Understand that your agent spends day in and day out reviewing artists, qualifying artists and studying the intricate details that makes each band unique. Their ability to match the perfect band with your tastes will be evident when your band performs the most amazing wedding party music you have ever seen!
