My husband and I looked at a few venues before one of my colleagues referred me to the Eastern Yacht Club. I'm so thankful that he did, because I had the perfect wedding!
Deb, Gary and Ben were so great to work with and I am just so happy with how everything turned out.

This venue is gorgeous and has extremely helpful staff! They stocked their bar with drinks I specifically wanted and their bartenders were fast and efficient in assisting my guests.

Everyone at Eastern Yacht Club was wonderful. The food was delicious, they set everything up beautifully! They made everything seamless and were right there when ever we needed anything. The caterer was amazing! The only complaint I have is that you can only meet with them on Thursdays and usually it's not until 6pm or after.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to have our wedding reception. It is absolutely gorgeous there. The water looks beautiful. The staff there is awesome. They were so pleasant and helpful and I couldn't thank them enough for being so great and helping make our special day perfect.
Deb was great to work with and she was always easy to contact and she helped with all the questions that I had along the planning process. One of the big things that I loved about the Eastern Yacht Club was that my wedding reception was the only event that day. So I didn't have to worry about waiting for another party to clear or anything of that sort. It was really my day! Our wedding was on Saturday, May 5, 2012 and since they did not have an event scheduled the night before we were able to go in and set up our decorations for the wedding reception which was great because we didn't have to worry about anything the morning of the wedding.
Ben Munoz with Royal Affairs Catering was just as great. The food was delicous. There was food everywhere and it was all delicous. The guests all commented on how good the food was. We had a ton of hor dourves such as crab dip, shrimp cocktail, meatballs, fruit, cheese and vegetables and I am sure that I am missing a few other things but it was so much food. We chose the second menu and had Chicken Chesapeake and Prime Rib which were bother delicous. The great thing is that your guests don't have to choose one entree. They get both! How great is that!
We would highly recommend this venue for all celebrations. Our wedding was beautiful and we thank you from the bottom of...

My husband and I had big dreams of having a beautiful wedding on the water, and that is exactly what we got from Eastern Yacht Club. The value for cost was amazing in comparison to other venues on the water in the area. This location is a hidden gem. Deb and Gary was a wonderful person to deal with. They had also completed many updates (paint, floor, lighting, etc.) before our wedding which made everything even better. The only issue that we had was that it took a bit longer then we had expected to cash checks when we sent them. Also there were some minor issues with the bartendor in regards to shots for our guests. She was very rude and did was not polite to my guests. They clearly state in our contract no red bull shots nothing about regular shots. Beside the point, EYC was wonderdul and the catering was fantastic. I will highly recommend EYC to anyone hoping to have a wedding (or any other event) on the water.

The Eastern Yatch Club had the most amazing view and atmosphere that created the most amazing wedding for my daugter.
We did our research and viewed different water front venues. The EYC was actually the last place we went to view. And to be honest we did not go there with the intent of even liking the place....but were we fooled!
The outside venue was the best view! Quiet and lovely. You have to see it to believe it!
The inside was set up beautifully as well and this included use of the outside large deck that many of the guest used throughout the evening!
It has a very large oval shaped bar that the guests raved about. Fully stocked with lots of choices! The staff were wonderful as well. Really seemed to enjoy being there!
I must tell you the two best portions of the evening. The deck overlooks the ceremony area. The bridal party appear from the double doors that open to the deck and make their way down the aisle. To see my daughter make her grand entrance from that view, simply breathtaking!
And the second best portion of the evening, the leaving of the happy couple. They opted not to leave by traditional route via car but to make their exit thru a double line of sparklers lit by their guest as they hop on a boat and leave via the river! Amazing!

This yacht club is a beautiful location with a wonderful view for a waterfront wedding. Deb was great to work with and made sure everything was arranged down to the smallest detail. She took personal pride in making sure we had everything exactly as we wanted it. The hall is a perfect size for a smaller wedding. There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. Ben and Royal Affairs Catering were great to work with and the food was delicious. The yacht club was very slow to cash checks, but were also great to work with for getting payments made. His staff, especially Robin, was wonderful to work with and did everything we asked. She set up the hall making it even more amazing than we expected.
WARNING!!!!! Watch your belongings like a hawk!!!!!
The members of the yacht club hang out in the Tiki Bar next to the main hall and will steal you blind!! They have been known to take items from the hall during the ceremony and after the reception. In our case, we were told we could leave our totes of extra candles, supplies, and decorations late Saturday night and pick them up Sunday. When we arrived on Sunday morning, the yacht club members had stolen all of the wrapped cake we packed in our tote. The bride and groom never got any of their cake the bride's sister had so lovingly made except the piece they shared for pictures. The members also stole all of the extra party goods we supplied in a matching color for the wedding theme since the caterer only supplies white or black. The Board of Governors did reimburse us for the party goods, but there was never any type of apology.
The Board of Governors and Commodore of this yacht club need to get control of their members and not allow such things to happen. The actual wedding day was so beautiful and perfect, as the parents of the bride, these events have left us with a poor opinion of the members of this yacht club. It boggles our minds how the members feel they are entitled to steal from anyone who pays good money to use their facilities. They have even been know to take items that belong to their fellow members using the facilities for a wedding. Anyone who can afford to belong to a yacht club should not be so arrogant as to steal wedding cake out of totes that do not belong to them or the yacht club.

Baltimore's Best kept secret! EYC was a great venue for us. Royal affairs is what sealed the deal for me. Amosome atmosphere and incredible menu. I was pleased with the transformation and Deb was a great point of contact for getting things done. MY biggest concern was that they replaced the ceiling fans with the chandeliers that they promised and they made it happen in the week before the wedding:-)
The space was a little tight for us with over 170, ao i would recommend keeping your guests at 150 or below.

The Eastern Yacht Club in Essex, MD has an exepctional view as well an awesome staff and reasonable pricing. Together they work with Royal Affairs Catering to provide the best service possible. EYC is a frequent view for me and the family from the water however, nothing compares to the view, atmosphere and service we received from the 1st meeting to the followup after our wedding.
My wedding was beautiful and absolutely amazing. The EYC is a beautiful friendly place!
They provide the bar package which was unbelievably reasonable and the liquor servings- astronomical compared to price!

THIS IS A WONDERFUL VENUE! This is a newly remodeled club house that sits right on the mouth of the chesapeake bay. What is also great about this location is that you can hold the ceremony and reception right on the same site. The club house hold up to 300 people, has a full equipted bar, and plenty of dance room! I think also the best part about this location is the staff. I have never meet such happier people in my whole life. They are honest, cheerful, and geniuenly excited about your wedding day. I am looking forward to holding my wedding there!

The Eastern Yacht Club is a great place for a wedding. The scenery is beautiful. There is a gazebo outside overlooking the Middle River. The Caterer they use is Royal Affair Catering and they are THE best. Our food was awesome! You have to book royal affair separately from Eastern Yacht Club.

While attending a friend's wedding, I had decided that the Eastern Yacht Club (EYC) was a very quaint place to get married. The ceremony that I attended was beautiful and the bride assured me that it was affordable.
So, when it was my turn to get married, I immediately thought of having it at the EYC.
The grounds are tidy and well kept, and the facilities are the same.
The representatives that I worked with were very accommodating and helpful in making my day stress-free. Even the club's members that I spoke with while making arrangements were very friendly and helpful.
Most of all, it was one of the most affordable places in the area to hold the wedding outside and have an inside reception.
Everyone at my wedding said that they enjoyed themselves, and that the setting was beautiful.
