Reviews for Eastholme in the Rockies B&B

Before I even begin writing my review, the biggest part of what I have to say regarding the service at Eastholme is not even to read what I and others have written, but the acidic rebuttals posted by the owner. That tells you a lot about how defensive and self-justified these people are.
Long story short, my husband and I were over the moon to celebrate our wedding at Eastholme. We paid our 50% deposit. Turns out, however, that we do not share the same religion as their officiant. We tried to remove any references that offended him but in the end he still dropped us. We were told to pay out of pocket for another officiant and that since he had spent so much time on our 'special pagan ceremony' (we only used the word 'gods' and that is the only way it couldn't have been an agnostic ceremony, and we even told him it was ok to remove it) that we would not be refunded the officiant fee. We lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and still the owners did everything they could to be as condescending as possible and still keep our money.
The best offer they gave us was after paying them over $700, that they would refund us $70 so that we could pay hundreds for another officiant.
These people really only care about keeping your money. If you aren't extremely conservative, I warn you now, beware of booking Eastholme and be ready for extreme condescension if you do.
We lost $700 and our day has been tainted. Thanks Eastholme. We really appreciated your efforts towards making our 'special pagan ceremony' happen.

We recently were married at Eastholme with 52 guests. Deborah is very organized and took care of all of the details and ensured all of my wishes were taken care of. We planned our wedding for almost 1 year and she was always responsive to my calls and emails. The only details that were not under her control was the weather and we left that up to God :)

We got married at Eastholme, and had 50 guests, 23 stayed at the location. It was wonderful! The owner really just made everything happen, nothing for us to worry about. I literally ripped pictures out of magazines (for cake and flowers, colors etc) and she just made sure it was taken care of. The caterer was excellent and the food was delicious. In fact, we were pleased with all the people who she works with, the photographer, and the florist, staff etc...The owner makes sure that the bride and groom are taken care of, and even other family as well. We will go back for memory visit, but if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay for the weekend, or are thinking about getting married here, we highly recommend it. All of our guests had a wonderful time and were well taken care of! We are so happy we found Eastholme and the owner - it really made our wedding perfect and worry free.

We had a carefree wedding with Deborah at Eastholme planning everything. She provided the great location (the inn's gazebo), the minister, flowers, cake and sparkling cider. She put us in touch with photographers. The B&B was lovely and the breakfasts (food & service) were wonderful. It was quiet, cool and rainy (things we Texans wanted).
Deborah was very nice, warm, and a good hostess. When it rained at 3:00, she, Conrad, and his wife were not only willing but friendly during the wait so that we could marry outside under the gazebo.

Rented out the entire property and although my wedding was spectacular the service was appalling! The owner is rude and cold and irresponsible. My Father who couldn't attend arranged with Deborah (owner) to have roses, chocolates and a note from him in my room and she neglected to do any of this and then never mentioned her mistake to me. She kept $150 of our $250 deposit and had no reason nor proof as to why she kept it. If your considering this venue for your special day I HIGHLY recommend elsewhere. There is 2 other B&B's on the same street.

Our decision to elope and get married at the Eastholme was one of the best decisions we could have ever made. Since we lived out of state, we didn't have the time nor resources to scope out tons of places. Thank God, this was exactly what we were looking for. They are literally at the base of Pike's Peak, what a terrific place to get married. Deborah was very accommodating for our last minute decision to elope (decided on Wednesday, married on Saturday). Having the officiant, flowers, photographers all inclusive was a huge help. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful and intimate ceremony. We were also impressed with Conrad, the officiant and how meaningful he made our ceremony. He allowed us to choose our own vows as well as included a generous amount of wedding-related poetry, plus, he and his wife are professional photographers with a great sense of humor!

Having our wedding at Eastholme was amazing! It was perfect! We were able to spend the whole weekend with family and friends celebrating our special day. Deborah took care of every detail, which made the whole process of planning stress free.
The setting was beautiful, the food was great and the staff was so nice. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for an intimate mountain wedding. Perfection!

Our elopement was pretty last minute and the Deborah was more than accomodating. She got us in touch with an officiant, chose the perfect room for our stay, provided flowers and cake and even took photos. She was available to help with the dress, as well. Besides the wedding aspect, the rest of the stay was superb! Breakfast was superb and the conversation was terrific. We couldn't have imagined a better place to wed!

My husband and I choose Eastholme in the Rockies for our wedding ceremony after looking online for a location in Colorado.
I called and spoke with Deborah the innkeeper and she was so kind and helpful that I knew I'd chosen the right place. I made all the arrangements over the phone and via e-mail and Deborah was organized and on top of things.
When we arrived (on a perfect Colorado day) for the wedding Deborah was ready for us and so helpful. She was there to help us with anything and everything we needed. The photographers and officiant she recommended were just fantastic and made our special day even better.
We stayed for another two nights and the breakfast at Eastholme is very good.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone for any occasion or for just a nice relaxing night away.
Thank you Deborah, Rob and I will never forget your kindness!

We chose to hold our small ceremony at Eastholme in the Rockies, a cozy bed in breakfast nestled in the foothills of Pikes Peak. Deborah Rice, the owner and coordinator, made sure the day was perfect. She was very organized, and very in tune to making sure all of the little details were taken care of before the big event. Both of our families were able to stay under the same roof, and everyone had a great time. It ended up being a drizzly afternoon the day of the wedding, but wiht Deborah and the staff's last minute plans, the event went perfectly! We couldn't have asked for a more memorable wedding, and much to the thanks of the owners and staff at Eastholme. Thanks again for a wonderful experience, and feel free to use us as future references!

What a wonderful location for a combined wedding and family gathering !
From the moment we arrived for the initial viewing of the property we were treated as royalty. Deborah was so kind and helpful in setting up everything from catering to flowers. She handles it all .... and as Lisa said all she had to do was show up. Deborah is a very special lady when it comes to making your day just that ... SPECIAL.
We initially had thought of the traditional route of church, hotels, wedding coordinator, etc but ran across Eastholme Bed & Breakfast on the web as a delightful alternative. And we are so glad we did. The property is perfect for an all inclusive wedding party (ours was 40 people). Both our families were able to stay in the B&B rooms for the two days which allowed for everyone to relax and visit. None of that driving from here to there and trying to keep on schedule for all the events..... it's all in one place ! The ceremony in the gazebo and brick patio was beautiful.
Everyone from Eastholme staff to the officiant were organized and a pleasure to have involved with our special day. You might not be spending $20k but you felt like you spent twice that in the atomosphere, service, and comfort. And the package cost includes lodging AND breakfast each day for 20+ guests as well as breakfast served in Lisa's room on wedding day.
We truly picked the perfect place. Thank you Deborah and Eastholme,
Lisa and Ed Forever!
