Eat Cake!

Our wedding cake was more delicious than I could have imagined. I was very tempted to request a chair and a fork so I could eat more of it! Hilary was great to work with. We will be visiting her bakery anytime we want cupcakes for an event. Or for ourselves :)

Hilary Larson is an amazing baker and I was thrilled to work with her for my wedding. My husband and I met with her for our first ever tasting and fell in love with her cinnamon vanilla cake (as well as her almond cake). In the end, though she provided us with many options, we just could not afford to purchase our tiered cake from her. To compromise, however, we ordered a small Groom's cake from her as well as our rehearsal dinner cake. Both cakes (the cinnamon vanilla and red velvet, respectively) were delicious and beautiful.

Hilary now has a retail location in Newburyport, MA and I'd totally recommend checking out the storefront for even more unique options.

With only 7 weeks to plan a wedding Hillary made this part easy. The hardest part was choosing the flavors for the cupcakes....they are all so good!

We did cupcakes for our wedding. We did 4 different and delicious varieties and had an assortment delivered to each table on cakes plates for dessert. They were a big hit with no real fights breaking out over getting their cupcake of choice (we did put extras out with the coffee/tea). I loved Hilary when we first met. She has great enthusiam for her work. She wanted to understand what were envisioning and offered great suggestions. She was flexible in the fact that she heard what were suggesting too and came up with great final selections. We each only got one...I wished we had saved one of each for us to take home.

If you are looking for the most delicious wedding cake you have ever eaten, one on one planning with the person who will be making your cake, as much input on the design and flavors as you would like and an amazing finished product then you HAVE to go with Eat Cake for your wedding cake. Hilary Larson designs, bakes, and delivers your cake and she is unbelievable. From our first meeting she had a vision for our cake, and as the year went on, we worked together to tweak things here and there and the result was the wedding cake of my dreams!! The flavors she has to choose from run from standard to decadent, we went with 2 flavors, chocolate oreo and chocolate chip cream cheese and our guests all gave us rave reviews. To quote on of our friends "I've eaten a lot of wedding cakes, and I know cakes, and that is the best cake I have ever had". LOL I had to agree with him. Be aware that they do cost a bit more than some other places in the area, but it was so worth it to me, especially for the personal, one on one service.

Hilary is pretty much the lone wolf over at Eat Cake so she can't always get back to you immediately, which was a LITTLE hard for me to get use to since I am a crazy planner and like all my ducks in a row, but she DID always get back to me eventually, and she was always more than willing to change things around and listen to my ideas and bounce stuff off of each other.

I really couldn't have asked for a better experience with Eat Cake, they were unreal, and I can't wait to eat my freezer burnt cake on our 1 year anniversary. Actually...maybe we'll order a fresh cake from her.

All day long, i think of a good excuse to come home and eat my wedding cake topper that stares at me every time i open the freezer door..... just knowing that the most delicious and scrumptious wedding cake ever is within arms length sometimes drives me crazy!!

Hilary is without a doubt a master baker... her tasty cakes are enough to make anyone who doesnt like cakes eat every last crumb!

At our wedding, we had a seven layer cake which was gorgeous!!!! then we had assorted cupcakes that no one could stop gobbling up!

Our favorites are tied..... the earth shatteringly yummy carrot cake.... and the mouth watering, fork licking, drooling-while-i-write-this White Chocolate raspberry!

Hilary makes every client feel like they are VIP status..... She has done cakes for other friends of mine who have gotten married, christenings, birthdays, etc. She never ever disappoints!

Anything less than an Eat Cake cake would be boring! Do your mouth a favor and order one of her cakes today.

The event manager at our venue recommended Eat Cake!. We were planning our wedding from out of town and had encountered difficulties with scheduling tastings with a few other vendors. After a frustrating day with few results, I called Hilary. She was enthusiastic and accommodating - working with our tight schedule to fit us in the next day. She prepared 3 different 'mini cakes' for us to taste. Each was fantastic. We decided on the spot to book her for our wedding. She was very helpful in other aspects of our planning and actually helped us find our florist as well. We emailed pictures of the kind of design we wanted, and my husband wanted a custom frosting. She made it all happen.

The cake was actually the highlight of the meal for many of our guests and we got endless comments on how awesome it was! Even the staff at the venue were lining up to get slices.

I can not say enough good things about our experience and recommend Eat Cake! to anybody planning a wedding or any other event.

The best wedding cake I've ever tasted, and it was beautiful. Hilary is great and the cake was delicious. Yum!

In one word...DECADENT! Hilary's design sense, creativity, and organization allows for a truly wonderful experience in planning the details of the wedding cake. She is extremely detailed and makes sure that all desires are fulfilled in the look of the cake, the flavors of the cake and the functionality of the cake! Truly professional from start to finish! Oh...and did I mention...YUMMY!!! SCRUMPTIOUS!!! Your guests will be talking about your cake for years to come!
