We did have some concerns, my husband and I found that the dinner service was rushed. The salad was just served with the salmon and all ready they were clearing the bread.
Second the limo drive hired for our transportation left us at the location for our photo shoot, which was down on the lake it was very cold at the lake and one of my bridesmaid really need to use the facilities (femanine issues) and the washrooms were closed at the park. We were waiting in a parking lot for 30-40 mins for the driver to return.
Lastly there was a situation with an elderly guest at the wedding, who's knee gave out and needed assistant by 2 or more people to get back to her seat. The manager on duty said the venue has no emergancy wheel chair, and tried to get a wheel chair from the hotels
beside the venue but they had none as well. As a facility that holds hundreds of people an emergancy wheel chair would be a good idea.

From beginning to end, our event was stress free. The OCC took care of any request or concern we had leading up to and during our wedding reception. We appreciated their bottom line pricing - there were not cost additions for each little thing. They made it clear what was included from the get go and we created a great event within those choices. Their staff was attentive and available but never overbearing. We had a fantastic night.

Amazing service, great food, and hospitality. They were very accommodating, no easy task as I am a huge prick.

Both management and catering staff catered to our every need on the days/months leading to the wedding and on the wedding day. They helped us organize the event and create a timeline of events to keep the festivities going. The prices were great and the venue was spectacular. We only received positive reviews from everyone at the wedding. Thanks for everything.

We had our wedding at the Oakville Conference Center and I have to say that they did a great job! Everything went very smoothly and the staff was really great. Particularly the head organizer who tried very hard to accomodate any requests. We had a few last minute things like doing a blessing over bread that we didn't think about and they brought out a table for us to use and set everything up without a problem! They also accomodated my little surprise for my husband. They wheeled in a pirate ship cake when the DJ cued them with music.

Really a wonderful place to hold a reception. I don't know if I have a bad thing to say about them except that we had to contact them to set up our tasting. We started to get anxious about it since it determines the menu and we were already in september, so we contacted them ourselves. This seemed a little unorganized on their part but we managed to make it to the tasting and the food was fantastic.

The food was fantastic all the way through actually. We were very impressed at the tasting and the quality of the food remained extremely high at the reception. Try the herb crusted chateaubriand, or was it tenderloin?, it was delicious and all of our guests were impressed with the food.

We used the OCC as our reception venue for the wedding and were very pleased with the service.
We managed to snag one of the sell-off dates, which was perfect for our strained budget.

Zorka was very flexible in terms of the arrangements required for both our plan for the night and the needs of religious guests. Everyone was extremely happy with the food, seating, service and location. Being right next to two hotels was very convenient, and the variety of bar options available was amazing. We weren't there for the cocktail hour but I was told the hors d'oeuvres were quite tasty as well!

It was a bit of a pity that the interior doors to the patio were not accessible (most guests were not aware of it), but it was a cool evening so that may have been the reason why that decision was made.

The one area that things fell short was in communication - we often felt that we had to reach out in order to get things done. When the date was fast approaching, we called to schedule the food sampling, only to find out that it was the following week and we hadn't received the same email as other couples. Similarly, we also had to reach out to schedule our final meeting to close out the wedding details. The staff were courteous at all these times, it just would've been nice to have them be a bit more proactive...

PROS - Day of Wedding: Service was fantastic, all of the servers and bartenders were wonderful to deal with. They were very professional and kind to my family and friends.

CONS - The pasta that was served was not cooked properly, it was inedible.

The worst part of the Oakville Conference Centre is Zorka Kosic (Director of Sales). When we were intially thinking of selecting OCC as our venue, Zorka was engaging and fully present. However, after we signed the contract, it was EXTREMELY difficult to communicate with her. E-mails and phone calls were rarely returned by Zorka, she never showed up for our follow-up meetings, special requests were met with resistance. I found this to be very disheartening, as it only added to the stress of planning my wedding. Arlene Sebastian, on the other hand, was a pleasure to work with. The OCC is lucky to have her.

The Harbour Banquet and Conference Centre was wonderful. They always got back to me quickly with answers to my questions. They set up the room so beautifully. The service was amazing and the food was to die for. Everyone said it was the best food they had a wedding. They are professional and fun and make sure that you have the best day.
