Reviews for Edgewood Tahoe

I fell in love with this venue when I started searching around for a venue in Lake Tahoe. DH & I met in Tahoe and thought it would appropriate to have our wedding here. We settled on this site without even seeing it! The views were spectacular
The staff there was extremely helpful (especially the coordinator Debbie). They were very responsive to all our requests and emails. They also let us change the head count a day before the event, which was really nice of them...The staff on the day of was helpful with us, they cleared quickly and moved things along quickly. We were running ahead of schedule and they were very helpful by allowing us to get our food more quickly.
I only have a few little compliants
1.) The food was removed too quickly from the tables
2.) During the wedding months (May, June), they were not as responsive to my emails (like they didn't email me back within 2 days, but got back to me in 3)
Overall, this was a great venue with great people to work with =)

We loved having our wedding here! We love Lake Tahoe and knew that we wanted to get married there and fell in love with Edgewood the moment we saw it. The view from the patio where our ceremony was held was so breathtaking and peaceful--when I first walked down the aisle, I could not believe it was real!
Everything about our planning process went very smoothly with no surprises along the way. They are well versed in weddings and they handle everything professionally. My only complaint (so small I would only take away half a star) was that some of the wait staff on the day of was a little bit grumpy. Just not as happy or friendly as you would want and showing their stress a little bit too much. But the food was good, timing went off as is was supposed to and all of our guests had a blast!

I really believe that Edgewood is the most beautiful place to get married in Tahoe. We and our guests had such a memorable experience, people are still telling us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and I think Edgewood is a big part of that.
Edgewood is a wedding machine but doesn’t make you feel that way during your wedding. They have it down to a science and their staff is extremely professional. I hardly dealt with them before the wedding because everything went through our coordinator but on the day of, the wait and bar staff was on top of every detail. They were kind, friendly and very accommodating.
The only downside is that they have so many little rules and restrictions and I feel like for the price they charge you should be allowed to say, step on the grass, take pictures on the course and in the common bar area. I would highly recommend them, the location cannot be beat and everyone of our guests were commenting on how beautiful the entire place is.
The food at Edgewood is amazing and also a big part our of why our wedding was so successful. We hadn’t tried it before we booked them but we had never heard anything but praise about the food. They don’t offer tastings but after you book with them you get a $100 gift voucher to eat at the restaurant. We didn’t get a chance to use it until the Wednesday before the wedding but it was well worth it. You also get a wine sampler of their 4 house wines, a glass of champagne and a glass of the house beer (Fat Tire). Their house beverages are Woodbridge and Mums (I believe) and the bartenders are excellent. We did 4 signature drinks (Jack and Coke, Pomegranate Martini, Mojito and a Blue Tahoe). The Pomegranate Martini was far and away the hit of the night and they made excellent mojitos and blue tahoe’s as well.

This was the perfect location for a beach wedding in Lake Tahoe. Both the setting on the patio for the ceremony and the South Room where the reception was held were stunning. The food was phenominal (even a range of finicky eaters enjoyed it) and the staff was exceptional and made our wedding day effortless.

We were excited about Edgewood before we even booked it - it's honestly one of the most gorgeous locations for a wedding in all of California - a crystal clear blue lake with snow-capped mountains in the background. Their facilities are immaculate and gorgeous inside, and every detail matters for a wedding. We particularly appreciated the small things, like how their dining room is stocked with attractive chairs eliminating the need to buy chair covers. Finally, on the day and night of our wedding, we truly appreciated how great the staff at Edgewood is - in the blur of your wedding, when you're running late and your timeline begins to morph, Edgewood was there to make it as smooth as possible to bring forward the cake-cutting or delay serving dinner so everything flowed as smoothly as possible. They took special requests to hide away pieces of cake or package meals when the bride didn't get enough time to finish dinner or enjoy her cake... we can't say enough, except we're looking forward to our 10-year anniversary and the possibility to throw another party back at Edgewood again!

This place is unbeatable for the scenery and value for money. The setting is idyllic, the facilities luxurious (and very affordable), and the food is fantastic (and very affordable). We've all been to weddings where the food is edible and nothing more. The Edgewood blew me away with their food. I had a cocktail hour with tray passed appetizers that were to die for! The main meal was gorgeous! I recommend doing a buffet, as guests are able to mingle, eat their fill, and sample every entree available. Debbie Wagnon was available for me and granted my every wish. Due to my graduate school schedule, I had to change my date, and they were very accommodating. Book them early though! Their bookings for Saturday evenings are about 7-12+ months out!I didn't have a massive budget, but wanted a fabulous and intimate wedding. I booked the South Room and had around 75 guests. They accommodated everything from Absolute Mandarin Cosmopolitans, Lemon Drops with shots of Chambord for passed cocktails, and champagne, to special children's meals. I had a 5 peice band, which Debbie thought wouldn't fit, but because I had two horn players (which requires very little space) along with stand-up bass, guitar, and drums, they all fit and provided a massive amount of sound to boogie to! See the review of my band... they were fantastic, with a drummer who's a professor at UC Berkeley, to a bassist who plays a gorgeous stand-up bass that's over 100 years old! The south room is smaller in size, but lacks nothing in style. The only thing I was left desiring was a longer time to hang out with folks! I didn't want it to end!

Edgewood Tahoe is bar far the most beautiful spot on the South Shore. The outside ceremony overlooks the lake and the grounds are always beautiful. The flowers blooming on our wedding day were unreal! The staff was courteous and professional. I never worried about anything all day, it was seamless. We ended up extending our reception by an hour because everyone was having so much fun. It may be a little more expensive than other places but it's worth every penny and you and your guests will be treated like royalty!

We selected Edgewood sight unseen for our destination wedding. It is a gorgeous setting with a lovely staff. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed everything and we were well cared for. We over-paid on the estimated deposit and Edgewood promptly refunded our money before we even noticed the overage. Class act!

Edgewood was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception. I've checked out many places in Tahoe, and this is by far the prettiest place to be. You don't even need to spend much on flowers because of the natural beauty of the wood and architecture. Every single guest at my wedding said the sea bass was the best they'd ever had. I didn't eat much but all the food looked beautiful. I'm glad I read the previous review about Debbie and Shannon not being around for the ceremony and reception because otherwise i would have assumed they would be there. They were there to let me know when to walk out with my dad and thats it. I suggest hiring a wedding planner to coordinate all the details.

Edgewood was the best South Lake Tahoe spot for our wedding reception. The food was delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. I had the buffet, which was a great idea because all of the wedding guests were able to eat as much as they liked and took the type of food that they wanted. My fiance and i chose this location because of its beautiful scenery, a picture perfect spot right on the lake.Edgewood is a bit pricey though. We reserved the North room, which was $5000 just for the room! With that said, i expected a lot from Edgewoods staff on the day of the wedding. I worked with Debbie and Shannon, who were both very helpful. The day of though, i didnt see either one of them at the reception, i guess i should of asked if they were going to be there or not. The service though was really great, although i did feel that a couple of the servers didnt look very happy to be there. I said "hi" and "thank you" to a couple of them and they didnt even smile. So that was a little weird. I think i only had one or two problems, which was probably my own fault, i may have not made myself clear about it. I had brought in cocktail napkins with mine and my fiance's name printed on them. I had asked that they use these napkins for the cocktail hour, to serve with drinks and appetizers. I brought 200 napkins to the reception. When i got home from the wedding i had a whole stack of napkins left, which i shouldnt of had any. I came back with 130 napkins =( Obviously none of my guests probably saw them.Other then a couple of sour faces, and my poor cocktail napkins everything went extremely well. It is really a beautiful venue. I would recommmend to anyone and everyone.

It was a pleasure working with Edgewood. The food and dining experience was lovely and the service was great. There were a few little issues but nothing that could'nt be resolved. Wonderful team there and that's not easy to find.

I was so glad that I had a wedding there!!! The view was beautiful and the food was delicious!Everyone who came to our wedding was so happy =)I would recommend this place for couples who would like to have a nice wedding =)

We held both our ceremony and our reception here. In trying to lockdown a date, rehearsal time, menu, etc, they are not particularly helpful and can come off as a little snobby. However, on the big day, they did an excellent job. We were very happy with their efficiency and how smoothly the whole day went. The patio for the ceremony is small, but the view is breathtaking. The north room for the reception has huge windows that overlook the patio and water; the sunset views cannot be beat. This venue was not nearly as expensive as we had initially thought it might be and was worth every penny.
Tahoe is beautiful all seasons of the year, and this site only enhances the beauty that surrounds you. From the lake front ceremony site, to the elegant, yet rustic reception area, this location is one of the best in Tahoe. The food and beverages are delicious too!
