I was searching months for a "professional" makeup artist to do my makeup on my wedding day! I came across Edit face on weddingwire.com, I saw Dawn had a ton of great reviews and they were right! I booked a trial and I knew right away I was going to book her for my wedding. She did airbrush makeup on me and individual eyelashes (which I had never done either one before) the results looked naturally beautiful! I am very picky with makeup and I only do my own makeup, never had anyone else do it before. I was very happy with Dawn, she did an amazing job on both my trial and Wedding day. She was exactly what I was looking for. Dawn did my makeup on my wedding day along with my mom's makeup, 2 of my bridesmaids, Jr. bridesmaid and flower girl, everyone was ready on time. She is quick and does a great job! She arrives 15 mins early prior to the appointment time to prepare her stuff and is clean. She makes you feel relaxed and trust that she will do an excellent job. I had so many compliments and everyone could not stop starring, kept telling me through out the night how my makeup was FLAWLESS and Amazing! I will continue to use Dawn =)

Dawn did an amazing job on my make up on my big day!!! I felt beautiful! She really listens to what you would like to look like and and makes it happen!! I loved my make-up and it stayed really well throughout the night!!! She also did three of my bridesmaids and a little bit of make-up on my junior bridesmaid. They all looked fabulous as well!!

Also, I would like to add that during the whole process of contacting Dawn with questions on her services, as well as skin care tips, she was very responsive. I definitely recommend her all future brides or even if you need special occasion make-up.

I have so many wonderful things to say about Dawn and her makeup! Everyone's makeup looked phenomenal and stayed on all night through lots of outdoor pictures and tons of dancing. I cried when I saw my mom because she looked so amazing and I know that Dawn had a major part in that. I am so happy I found her. She will make you feel comfortable and relaxed, just what a bride needs!

Dawn did an outstanding job for my wedding! She did the makeup for my whole wedding party, and we were all thrilled with the results! Our pictures turned out beautiful too, thanks Dawn!!

Dawn is amazing. My photographer gave me her card and that was, by far, the best recommendation ever. I went for my trial closer to the wedding and I wanted her to just do what she does best.... no picture reference... just put make up on me that she thought best complimented my face. She delivered like crazy. My skin never looked more flawless and so natural. She ended up applying individual eyelashes on me. I was surprised at how natural they looked and they weren't uncomfortable at all.

I definitely wasn't as picky with my make up as my mom. Dawn was extremely patient and responsive to my mother's *ahem* suggestions.... much to my and my mother's delight. She got everything absolutely right on the big day. Even my mom was impressed and super happy with the job she did.... definitely a big deal. I let my bridesmaids know that anyone who wanted to use Dawn's services on the wedding day was more than welcome to, they just had to let me know in advance. On the day, Dawn ended up doing mine, my mothers, my grandmother's and 3 of my bridesmaids. After a few bridesmaids were all made up, one who decided not to before saw how beautiful and flawless everyone looked, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to get hers professionally done. In her words "There's no way I can get my make up looking that perfect next to you guys :)". Dawn was more than accommodating and anyone that wanted to jump in the chair could. Even with the extra person we were ready with more than enough time to spare. I love my bridesmaids, but I have never seen them look more beautiful than they did after Dawn was finished with them. One of my other bridesmaids (who married the year before) asked me "Where was Dawn when I got married?!?".

I received countless compliments throughout the night of how my make up was so beautiful and flawless. My make up lasted me through the whole day (applied at noon on the day of the wedding) all the way till I got on the plane to my honeymoon at 8am the next day. Dawn is very professional, punctual, and has a great personality (not to mention a great sense of fashion =P). I will most definitely recommend Dawn to everyone and continue to use her in the future :).

Dawn did my make-up for both my photo engagement session and on my wedding day (June 4th, 2011), and it looked fabulous! I am not one to normally wear a lot of make-up, so she did an excellent job of making it look natural - I got so many compliments! It stayed on and in place all night long, and it looked great in our wedding photos. She responded to my many emails promptly, and she helped me to work out the make-up schedule on my wedding day. She is a professional, and her dress and demeanor on my wedding day reflected that and made us all feel comfortable. She really cares about her work, and she wants everyone to look and feel their best. My mom, two sisters, grandmother, and stepmom all loved their make-up (especially the eyelashes!), and I would definitely recommend Dawn to future brides. She truly made me feel beautiful on my wedding day, and I hope to see her again myself in the near future for an upcoming event!

Dawn is absolutely out of this world. I've had my make up done by many different make up artists and no one even compares to Dawn..not even close. She knows exactly what you need, how you should look and what makes you as individual "pop". She has done my make up in the past many times but my wedding day face was flawless, I mean flawless. It looked super natural and she created such a beautiful look. She also did make up for most of my bridesmaids and every single one of my BM's looked stunning.

She truly is an amazing artist...Shes calm, collective, creative and that's exactly what you need on your wedding day.

Dawn has a wonderful portfolio of work she's done previously in both natural and glamorous styles of make-up and her approach at our event was excellent - professional and friendly. We booked a test make up before the wedding, and we hit it off - we had so much fun and the make-up was spot-on - not too much or too little. I looked so pretty while running errands that day.

Then she did the make-up for me, my maid of honor and my moms for the wedding. She came to the venue and was as lovely as ever - a very easy-going lady who makes you feel at ease on what can be a stressful day. Her knowledge and expertise are obvious straight away and she is well aware of what will suit each person's individual look - my moms looked stunning!! Everyone was extremely satisfied and happy and we all looked very pretty on my wedding day.

Dawn is truly an amazing and talented makeup artist! She has done my makeup on several occasions in the past and she was the only one I trusted to do my makeup for my wedding. I had a long and very expensive search to find the perfect make up artist and Dawn was it! 3 weeks before the wedding I still didn't have anyone, and so my photographer (Wes Craft) recommended Dawn. Dawn was absolutely fantastic and helpful from the first time we spoke. I didn't have anyone doing my hair either, so for the trial, Dawn brought along Lupe, a hair stylist.

Everyone and their mother was gung-ho about airbrush makeup, but i've done an airbrush make up trial before, and i really didn't like the feel of it on my skin to be honest. When I met with Dawn, she looked at my skin and actually said that regular makeup would look much better on me. She did an incredible job on the trial, picked out the right shades for the eyes and the lips on the first try, and I was sold! What I also loved is that Dawn glues fake eyelashes not in one row, like the other artists have done, but she glues individual eyelashes of various lengths throughout the eyelid. The end result is that you don't really feel the fake eyelashes and you feel totally comfortable. Another thing I liked about the trial is that Dawn was very effective at managing Lupe. She'd let her know when half an hour was up and when she had 10 more minutes to do the hair, so that we were on schedule even when we were doing the trial.

On the day of the wedding, Dawn and Lupe arrived a little bit early and were super amazing. My make up was flawless and it looked very natural. The hair was amazing too and I had no problems with fly aways. My look lasted throughout the night, and there was some very intense dancing. Needless to say, my fiance loved seeing me in a "natural" light, and not caked with make up, like I was at the trials before I met Dawn.

I loved Dawn's professionalism, her personality and most importantly her finesse. She's a very skilled make up artist and I will certainly be asking her to make me look pretty for special occasions that will come up!

Dawn was highly recommended by a friend to do my make up for my wedding. I decided I would have Dawn do my make up for my engagement party, and as soon as I saw the end results, I knew she was exactly the person for the job! I typically don’t wear a lot of make up in my day-to-day life, and I can’t stand when brides don’t look like themselves on their wedding day, so I explained to Dawn that I want to look like myself on the big day (just a better version!). Dawn did everything I asked and more! We discussed what kind of look I was going for, what shades would look best on me, etc. I actually had Dawn do the make up for six of my bridesmaids, in addition to my own. She kept to the timeline and was done with time to spare! Everyone commented throughout the night on how beautiful everyone looked, and I could not have been more pleased. I truly felt like I looked more beautiful and elegant on my wedding day than ever before, and that is because of Dawn! She is professional, makes you feel relaxed and does extraordinary work. I have now had Dawn do my make up for various occasions and am always beyond satisfied. I would definitely recommend Dawn to anyone who is looking to look their best for any occasion! She's the best!

Dawn was very professional and extremely talented with make-up application. I also liked her calm demeanor which was very calming amidst the storm. I would HIGHLY recommend her services to future brides. She listens to your wishes and creates a masterpiece with your face - the pictures don't lie!

From the moment Dawn walked into my parent's home for the trial run all the way through until the wedding day, Dawn was a pleasure to work with. She was attentive to every email I sent with relentless questions and work to accomodate me any way she could.

Now, for the real reason why Dawn is the best - her work! She is truly an artist. The work she did not only on me, but my mom and grandmother was breath-taking. I have never seen my mom look more gorgeous than she did the day of my wedding. The makeup was perfectly placed and age-appropriate, but Dawn wasn't afraid to lay on the eye liner and false eyelashes to make her look over-the-top stunning. As for my makeup, it was EXACTLY what I wanted. During the trial, Dawn asked to see photos of me when I would put on make up to go out so she could gauge what would be appropriate for the big day - well she nailed it!

We had a large bridal party of 9 plus the mom's and grandma and aunt who all had their makeup done as well. Because we had such a tight timeline Dawn brought in another professional artist who's work was right on par with Dawn's. The two worked very well together and really made things fun.

I would recommend Dawn to anyone of any age and I can't wait for another special occasion so I can call Dawn and have her work her magic!

I've had my makeup done by several makeup artists over the years, and I can say without hesitation that Dawn is the best. Dawn did my makeup on my wedding day, as well as all my bridesmaids. A true professional and artist--Dawn was prompt, friendly, and brought out the best in every face. She is very skilled in hiding flaws and accentuating one's favorite features, and no one looked like they were wearing tons of makeup. Dawn listened to what I was looking for, and I was extremely happy with the results. People came up to me all day to compliment me on my makeup. The proof is in my photos! Dawn really completed my wedding "look" and I would definitely call her the next time I need my makeup done. :)

Dawn was an absolutely amazing makeup artist! She was extremely prompt, arriving right on time. I had myself, 9 bridesmaids, and my mom who needed their makeup done, and she finished right on time. I cannot believe how many compliments everyone recieved on how amazing they looked!! She was super fun and made everyone feel very comfortable. Dawn worked with myself, my mother and maid of honor, she was professional and relaxed and made sure we all received what we liked and surpassed our expectations! She asked each of us our likes/dislikes and used her make-up talent to compliment our features. Each look was different but gorgeous! When I asked my husband what he thought of my dress during the ceremony, he said he noticed my make-up first and thought I look phenomenal!!! Dawn is simply FABULOUS!!! She has done my makeup for years & always keeps up with the trends. Every times she tries something new, it looks great. She did makeup for my bridal party & I and it was nothing short of red carpet quality! Our makeup lasted the entire day and we received so many compliments from the wedding guests. I had my pictures taken on Michigan Ave. and people were shouting out how gorgeous I looked! Not only is her quality of work great, but she is also reasonably priced. I woulndn't trust anyone other than her on such an important day!!!!

Dawn has been doing my make up since I was 16. She did all of my high school dances and any weddings I attended as I got older. Recently, she did my own wedding. I had a bridal party of nine people plus my mother plus me. She arrived earlier than she was supposed to get all set up and organized and had no problem getting through 11 people within a short amount of time. Dawn is very personable and just the best at what she does. I didn't even have a trial make up run for my wedding. I trust her so much that I just let her run with it. Everyone was amazed at my makeup!!! I have been showing people my wedding pictures and they can not get over my makeup - that has been one of the first things people notice by glancing at the picture. I would refer anyone to Dawn as I highly recommend her. She is a great person and through the years she has become a friend to me! It is always fun to catch up with her each time I see her for an event that I want makup done and letely it doesn't even need to be a big event. If I am going out for a night out with the girls I find myself heading to Dawn prior to get my makeup done because I love the way I look! Oh my God. Dawn, from Edit, is the greatest!! I know this sounds silly, but I don't know how else to describe what she did for our wedding. There were 8 bridal members and she took care of all our makeup and we were ready for a professional photo shoot. I wasn't so sure to begin with, because she came to us on a recommendation from a friend. Just wasn't certain, but this may have been the only seemless part of my crazy wedding day. Thanks Dawn!!

Dawn was amazing to work with. She came highly recommended by my hair lady and boy did she deliver. I was impressed with not only my make-up but with my bridesmaids make-up too. You could really tell which girls had their make-up done by Dawn and who went to the local MAC counter. You will have your pictures forever.. She is worth it!
