Our wedding cake was great! I loved how we were able to come up with a cake flavor that matched my and husband's taste (Snickers). Elaine is very creative and can help you make a cake that matches any dessert you love!

I actually wasn't going to review this product because it was the best cake I have ever tasted. Here is the thing, it was a beautiful cake.... any bride would think I was nuts to be disappointed. BUT it wasn't quite what we had discussed. The design was on it, but the color wasn't right (we left AND sent a color swatch) and we send over a logo with our initials on it and had it approved, and the initial part of the logo was missing. Just the outer design was on it. But seriously, it was so good that when we fed each other cake, my face in pictures was like..."whoa!" So I'm not entirely let down. Best tasting cake ever. And the topper was so good that I made myself sick eating it over the next few days (she remakes the toppers at the 1 year mark)

Our wedding cake and groom's cake were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Elaine and her team really hit it out of the park with our cakes... our guests could not stop raving about how yummy each and every flavor was. Wedding cake was very important to my parents and I can say without a doubt, Elaine's cake was the most moist and delicious- and her Italian Buttercream TO DIE for.

Elaine's sugar magnolias on our cake were truly stunning- I was speechless when I saw them- and hated to cut ihto the cake! The attention to detail was astounding! We had three different wedding cake flavors and a different flavor for the groom's cake (Bananas Foster with peanut butter mousse) and I had guests running up to me to tell me that they have never had such awesome cake- and they had tried each and every flavor!

We would recommend Elaine's Events many times over to any bride... and my Mom and I are deadset on using them in the future for any type of cake that we need for any celebration! I am having to fend off my family from attacking our wedding cake top tier in the freezer when they come over!

I loved my wedding cake. Elaine created the most beautiful (AND DELICIOUS) cake for my husband and me. Since we are such foodies, it was extremely important to us that the cake be beautiful AND delicious. Elaine knew exactly how to capture what we were looking for. Her sugared magnolias are exquisite. After cutting the cake, my husband and I rushed to our seats so that we could enjoy a whole slice! I can't wait for our first anniversary so that we can eat the top layer! Elaine also created the groom's cake which was a replica of our boat. My husband thought it was the best!

The cake was absolutely the best cake I had ever had. Elaine uses Italian buttercream as her icing but has a way of making it look fondant. It taste incredible and her work is beautiful.

Elaine has some of the best cakes I have ever tasted. My cake turned out beautiful and wonderful. I would highly recommend her!

Not only was my cake beyond gorgeous, but the taste was amazing! I am actually still craving it, so I cannot wait for our one year anniversary to eat the top tier. My mom and sister are not sweets people, and when we went for the tasting, they both could not stop eating the icing. Elaine is fantastic and I would highly recommend.

The cake was the most delicious, beautiful cake I ever had the pleasure of eating. If anyone is shopping for a cake I would reccomend the one that I had, which is the True southern wedding cake, but instead of two layers of the yellow cake add in one layer of chocolate. Its delicious, and it also shows how flexible she is about her cakes. The sugar flower magnolia she did for the top of the cake is still one of my favorite momentos from the day. Thanks again it was beautiful!!

Will help design your cake if you give certain elements you like/want.
They took elements from my dress and applied to the cake.
Can be kinda hard to get ahold of since you leave a voicemail, but they will get back with you.
Has great cake stands you can rent from them, but you must return themself the next day.
Very professional and has a lot of experience.
She specializes in fresh fruit and chocolate ganache filling. We altered that some using strawberries and blackberries with white chocolate. Lots of compliments.
Elaine has every cake design book known to man in her office, and even keeps a binder with photos of previous work she has done.

Elaine and her husband work out of their home on Johns Island. They invite you in to do a cake tasting of samples of their cakes that are to die for. The cakes are beautiful and tasty at the same time. They are professional and strive to make your cake taste like whatever you want it to-- be it your favorite candy or your favorite dessert, Elaine Mincey will make it into your cake. The do not advertise in the yellow pages and do hundreds of cake a year only by word-of-mouth "advertising". Elaine is known for making fondant flowers to go on the cakes. Although that is not what I chose for my cake, Elaine worked with me to make sure that the design I wanted was what was in the final product. This team really enjoys what they do and it shows!

I would rate Elaine's Events as exceptional.Having read reviews and seeing photgraphs in magazines and at The Knot, I knew a lot about her before we actually met. Our initial meeting was very good. We shared ideas and she let us know about different costs so that we would be able to stay in our preferred budget.

Elaine and her staff put together a cake that was unique to us and flavorful.

At later meetings Elaine was very receptive to suggestions of changes and our wedding cake was the most amazing cake I have ever tasted! I was so excited after the final sample cake I could hardly wait for our friends and family to taste it!
Even weeks after the wedding we are still hearing from our guests that our wedding cake was the best ever!

The cake was to die for! I don't even like sweets but this was the best cake I've ever had!! I feel very fortunate to have gotten them!
