Elegant Affair was offered to me as a package by Sarah, the owner of The French Estate. I really did not want to deal with all the unnecessary stress that comes with planning a wedding and Julie, the wife of the chef is just the person to take over and stress for you. She was an upbeat woman, very professional, quick and to the point. They know what they are doing and you can just sit back and trust them to take care of everything food related. They offer free food tasting where you go to their office and they have a nice table set up and they would just keep bringing you food, different types of food, to see which ones you like. My husband had a blast at that tasting, he gobbled everything up. It was a hard decision to make when we were sitting there trying to decided which type of chicken dish to go with because honestly, their food was delicious! They also offer free table linens with the package in the colors white, ivory and black. You can add extras and Julie is very clear and to the point about the costs and how it would look. With our package, we ended up with two types of salads, three side dishes, a chicken dish and chef carved roast beef. They also come with free punch and coffee. We also added hors d'ouevres to our order and they were absolutely delicious! Most catering companies are very picky about not wanting you to bring outside food because they want to make the income by having you order all the food from them, not so with Elegant Affair. They are very flexible and they let my mother in law make an extra appetizer section of fruits and some delicious romanian pastries. Their staff also sets the table and cleans up so when I mean you don't stress out with them you really don't! You are taken care of from the minute you step into their free food tasting to the last bite you take at your wedding!

Elegant Affair Catering was included in the package at the French Estate so we went ahead and booked with them. I was worried at first because we picked an entree that we never got to try at the food tasting, but it ended up being a big hit. We had the roast beef carving station, chicken cordon bleu, caesar salad, and a few other sides. Our guests loved the food! We were also able to drop off our beverages the day before the wedding and they chilled it for us and delivered it to the venue the day of the wedding. It definitely took that stress off of us! Make sure you communicate well with them and its best to deal with Julie. She helped us with the final details and made sure everyone was on the same page with everything.

Excellent food and for a reasonable price! The package I got even included a cake that I designed. Usually the food at weddings are nothing to rave about at my wedding everyone mentioned how they really enjoyed the food! I definitely recommend Elegant Affairs to cater your event.

i love delicious, beautifully presented food. however, with our modest budget and decent-sized guest count, i had to find a caterer who made solid (if not crazy excellent) food for a decent price. with the help of elegant affair, we did it! we got a three-course sit-down dinner, all china/drinkware/flatware/linens rentals, some disposable wares (please feel free to clutch your pearls now), a few miscellaneous rentals (bar height tables for cocktail hour, a bar, etc.), cake cutting, champagne toast service (which we didn't use), cold drink station pre-ceremony, coffee station, bar staff to serve our BYO alcohol, and waitstaff for less than $50 a head.
while their food is not the most gourmet, it is definitely tastier than most wedding banquet food i have had. the presentation was sufficient but didn't wow. however, the food was fresh and tasty, service was excellent, and everything was a really great value.
